breakfast and location both were fine
there was suffocation in the room. AC was not effective
Nothing, the staff is rude and misbehaves a lot. Not just with us. We observed the staff having a very rude conversation with one South Indian family too
Everything, they charged me 1,19,000 for a week long stay. I stayed only 1 night and they refused to refund for the reminder of the nights. Booking.com confirmed they had no issue in processing the refund. The greedy management still didn’t processed the refund.
Hospitality and location
Overpriced.
Every thing
Nothing
Food is very spicy and not good
Shower is not good. It is very small
The hotel is in Best Location in Shrinagar, food was very good and varity .
Food was expensiveand also Hotel Rent is on higher side
Great location, and services and rooms were wonderful. All staff were friendly, especially the driver booked with the property was wonderful.
View and WiFi
Breakfast spread was less
All ready send
Good property
Room and location
A good location near Dal gate. Near by market has ATM`s , Restaurants and other consumables easily available. Restaurant at hotel is good.
Rooms can be better managed, like daily refilling consumed soaps, vanity`s, Tata play expiry, electrical tripping issues for geyser, fridge etc. Although solved after feedback.
Good location and value for money

The hotel, location, staff was friendly amazing food. I am really glad we chose to stay at Golden Tulip. Highly recommend.
Location wise the hotel is perfect. breakfast is super delicious. Staff are very co-operative and helpful.
"We recently spent two wonderful days at Golden Tulip in the breathtaking Kashmir Valley with my family. Our stay was nothing short of perfection! The hotel's serene ambiance, immaculate rooms, and stunning views of Mountains left us spellbound. But what truly made our experience unforgettable was the exceptional hospitality and warm welcome from the staff. The food at Golden Tulip was outstanding! The chef's culinary magic served up delicious Kashmiri cuisine, and the breakfast spread was impressive. Don't miss their signature dishes! Kudos to the entire team for their attentive service, helpful guidance, and making us feel at home. *Highlights:* - Scenic views and serene ambiance - Immaculate rooms and amenities - Exceptional hospitality - Delicious food, especially Kashmiri cuisine - Attentive and helpful staff *Recommendation:* Golden Tulip is a must-stay for anyone visiting Kashmir Valley. Book without hesitation! *Rating Breakdown:* - Cleanliness: 5/5 - Service: 5/5 - Food: 5/5 - Location: 5/5 - Value: 5/5 *Will we return?* Absolutely! Thank you, Golden Tulip for creating cherished memories for my family and me."
Friendly staff
The biggest turn off is the long walk uphill to come from the gate to the reception. Rooms are over priced with no breakfast included where my average price for 2 days was above 26K.
Excellent property with beautiful views and great location! Needs a little updating. Amenities need to be upgraded. The spa was not the cleanest. Be prepared to wake up very early if in the C wing due to morning Azan, which is beautiful by itself. The buffet for breakfast was quite good.
Location and staff were great. Breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious. Bed was comfortable.
1. Poorly maintained facility. Everything looks dated, with scatches, damages etc. This property needs some renovation and better maintenance. 2. Had to change rooms as the AC wasn't working. Even the final room that I ended up in, had a weak AC. 3. I saw three rooms and none of them had a shower door. This caused the entire bathroom floor to be really wet after a shower. 4. Flooring had cracks and chips. Other surfaces were dirty and not well maintained. This is not a 4 star hotel by any means. I would rate it as a 3 star property. Not worth the price I paid for it.
I need to stay in big building which can provide garden to walk at least. And not expecting divided building to move with steps for a senior citizen. So please don’t make uneasy your Coustomer with UN complete information.
Must make your own standards before recommending customers. To maintain your image.
Not good
Very poor infrastructure, room size along with bad behaviour
Curteous staff
Rooms. And Bathroom in particular is poorly designed.. A small size room is banded as Superior..
We had breakfast and dinner every day at the hotel restaurant, both meals were great every time, staff was very polite and cooperative. Also, hotel location is too good, almost in the heart of Srinagar.
Bathroom in our room was too small, could have been bigger. Also amenities could’ve been much better.
The size of the rooms were very small give the charges per night.
room size
Everything was good about the property especially the breakfast. The chef Abrar was patiently attending to guests customization needs. The staff’s were pleasant and welcoming
Nothing .
Location of the Hotel is just perfect. Walking disctance from the Dal Lake, yet secluded to the extent that you are not hearing the noise / hustle of the constant inflow of tourists near the Dal lake. Staff & Hygiene are the other plusses of the hotel.
Having a BAR may be great add on..........however understand that this may be a task in itself considering the social set up of the city.
The hotel is good and the room is a bit compact for the price we paid. The staff was very cooperative & friendly. The heating facility & the power backup worked really well too.
The room is a bit compact.
The location of the hotel is great and even the exterior aesthetics were really nice to be around. The staff were very friendly and courteous. A very pleasant stay in general. Would stay here again, but only if the price was half of what we paid, perhaps even lesser.
Breakfast was probably the worst part of the stay. Very limited and basic choices and for instance, the bakery options could have been much better. There was very little diversity, and things did not seem fresh. Even fresh tea was not available. The room was also not great value for money. It was way too small.
Location
Rooms Very small and dim Bathroom not well kept
Location and friendly staff
A good stopover hotel … Excellent service by Hotel staff !!
More facilities required at premises
Excellent location, amazing room service and great hospitality gives you the most comfortable stay in this hotel. The bonus is the view and location. Slightly secluded, away from the hustle bustle yet close to all tourist attractions, shopping centres.
Nothing.
Breakfast was good first day. Looks like there was a group staying in hotel. So they had good spread. Next day, the group had left, then many things from breakfast spread were removed. No yogurt, no fruits, no butter and jam on the table and so on.
The bathroom. The bathroom. didn't have hand towels. No foot towel. There was no body wash . Toilet paper roll was almost finished. Had to keep calling housekeeping for each thing
Location.
Hotel rooms Highly over charged as per the room facilities and amenities provided.
Location,Interior
Like other branches they should have cab facility to go for local visit also. And can improve buffet food variety. And washroom should little more bigger in size, very small in size.
It’s secluded and yet right in the city. We got a free upgrade to Suite room. However, I still paid around 20,000 Rs for a night which is damn expensive for the facility provided. Only worth like max half the price
Too expensive. The power outages that happens every half n hour was annoying
Excellent setting and location. Room was very nice and suite has a semi private balcony. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast with a good selection. On one of the days we had to leave early and they were nice enough to provide us with packed breakfast which helped us get through the day.
Felt a bit overpriced and pricing was unclear as well. We were asked to pay for an extra bed in the room even though we had clearly made booking for 4 (2 adults, 2 children). We were told the price assumes 4 sharing one bed and if you want an extra bed, need to pay more! Eventually they provided a mattress on the floor without charge, but I felt this was a cheap way to make more money and tarnished an otherwise excellent stay at the hotel.
The best thing about the property is it’s old world feel and extremely friendly and courteous staff
Price is a bit too steep and also the food choices are not always authentic representation of the intended cuisine
Breakfast was tasteless all 4 days . Same menu . No variation
Same fruits — cheap ones . No variation . No apples even though Kashmir is famous for this
prices r too high, Towels quality was very bad. Food was good.
Good staff .very corteous
The rooms need more care The door locks need to be replaced if very old
room size was too small for the price
Breakfast was elaborate and staff was attentive. Manager was interactive and helpful !
The locker did not work when checked in and did not open while checking out .
it is one of the great properties in Kashmir. The staff gives royal treatment to our family. From top to bottom every single staff member took a very personal and warm care of us. Their promptness and warmth made our stay in Srinagar memorable. The view from balcony was breathtaking specially during dawn. I convey special thanks to Mr Rafique for guiding us for our tour to Kashmir and taking extra care for our stay.
over all amenties & other facilities are very poor compared to the price we gven . Room size is too small . Location is very good . Staff were very cooperative & friendly . Mr. Nazeer Ahammed khan supported very well . He was too friedly & nice .
staff
no ventilation
Staff behaviour
There were 44 steps leading to lobby level which was not mentioned despite telling hotel sales team about my knee pain. Unpardonable & unethical act. Every time staff lifted me up & down the steps , it was a mental trauma & disturbed my peace of mind.Mr. Imran Wani is responsible for this act.
Room and ambience
Check in time should early before lunch time not after 2 pm. Morning check in what to do just go without change.
40 odd stairs to climb to reach to lobby level
Breakfast spread was good and so was the chef. We ordered a Pizza and that was tasty too
The rooms were too small, fittings were old, facilities mediocre. Asked for hair conditioner and was denied. The luxury price did not justify for the hotel. Nothing special in the hotel. We were guaranteed a sir out area but there wasn't. Not much space to walk in the room. To reach to the reception had to take stairs, which could be problem for aged parents. The electric kettle was broken in one of the rooms
The room provided was not the one we booked though they changed our room on the second day. The heating system was not working in the room and they took considerable time to make arrangements that too after lot of follow-up
