Staff were helpful and polite and check in was easy My room was suitable for a single person a good size and comfy Breakfast was a good selection

Parking was permit only but luckily the hotel had a pass for my one night

Central location, free parking, good breakfast with excellent choice, particularly for non meat eaters. Friendly and helpful staff. Good tea and coffee making facilities in room.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

1. In room 5, only channels 1 and 11 could be viewed. 2. Breakfast was late. It was meant to start at 6am, but nobody turned up until 6:30am. 3. Some guests had no key to get out of the front door, before 6:30am. I acted as a member of staff and let them out, whilst waiting for someone to turn up and make breakfast. 4. There really isn't parking. You need to park at Asda and go to the property to ask the location of parking. I never found it.

Breakfast was OK, location was fine.

The TV remote did not work properly, the bed wasn't comfortable.

No parking outside

The owner was pleasant on our arrival but this was marred by 3 women fighting across from the hotel. My partner was upset to see a guest walking around in a towel. The room was clean enough but as we refused to stay l cannot comment on how comfortable it was

The location was on a busy street with nowhere to offload our luggage so we parked in the Asda across the road As l previously mentioned there were 3 women fighting outside the hotel, which is not the owners fault. The owner pointed out the parking area to me which was 200 meters from the accommodation. When l went to park, my relevantly new car, the place was alive with alkies and junkies, not a place to park any car. As my partner was upset with the incident with the almost naked guest and nowhere safe to leave our car, we were left with no option but to seek out alternative accommodation. On leaving we had a pleasant conversation with the owner who offered a full refund, witnessed by my partner. Unfortunately he reneged and we were left well out of pocket. Through Booking.com we were fortunate to find very suitable accommodation

Food was good .. room was clean but very small

Seemed a lot of drunks about during the day.. felt the place outside was a bit of a rough area with Asda opposite and other shops.

They were so kind and welcoming, despite us being a couple of hours late arriving due to delays on the motorway. The room was a good size, with plenty of space for us and our dog. It was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of cooked and cereal options.

The only disappointment was being unable to completly shut the windows as there was quite a bit of noise from traffic and birds.

It is a little dated but is being updated over a period of months. Had to park my car a couple of streets away but was given a permit so not a problem.

Big negative is the car parking space is some distance away in a residential open car park so not recommened for disabled and families. There is no facilityto park near to drop or load luggage. On one night there were no parking spaces, with vehicles blocking residential gates and other vehicles. Internally, was on the ground floor so experienced TV noise from room above until 11pm and then late night guest arrivals at the front door.

We were very late arriving due to very bad traffic, but our host very kindly stayed up for us. The breakfast was very good and they were happy to fill my flask with coffee for the day's walk. Location was also very good close to the city centre.

There was supposed to be some parking nearby but this was not apparent, and made the arrival a bit of a hassle as we had to drive around nearby streets to find somewhere to park, which was not super close.

Es ist gut zu finden, denn an der Hauptstrasse gelegen. Das Zimmer war wie beschrieben, das Badezimmer gut ausgestattet wie beschrieben. Es gab morgens ein britisches Frühstück.

Die Lage der Unterkunft an der Strasse gegenüber dem Parkplatz vom Supermarkt bzw. die Lage vom Zimmer mit Fenster zum anderen Parkplatz mit Spermüll / Gerümpel. Dass es offensichtlich Ungeziefer im Zimmer hatte, denn eine Person von uns hatte am nächsten Tag eindeutig frische Bisse von Bettwanzen ( die dann erst im Lauf vom Vormittag zu spüren / zu sehen waren, so dass wir es noch nicht in der Unterkunft hatten ansprechen können vor unserer Weiterreise). Dass wir beim Abmachen der Zeit fürs Frühstück extra eine frühere Zeit erbeten hatten, damit wir unseren Zug gut erreichen können, dann aber zur abgemachten Zeit erstmal warten mussten, bis wir das Frühstück bestellen konnten und bis es dann parat war, und anschliessend ziemlich Stress hatten, den Zug zu erreichen. Dies hätte besser kommuniziert werden sollen bzgl Ablauf vom Frühstück.

Looking at the place from outside, I wasn't sure what to expect, especially as the pub next door had shut down, as had many other buildings near. However, my room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant. Once I checked in, I was shown how to get to the private parking, just a couple of streets away. Nice bedding, and towels, there was even a flannel in the room to use. Perfect for my one night stay.

Nothing- the area looked a little run down, but that's not their fault, it's the economy now and most cities look the same sadly. However, it's a short walk to the city centre and as a woman on her own, I felt safe walking to town and back, even in the evening for dinner.

Struttura vecchia e cadente, materasso scomodo, si cadeva ed era pieno di bozzi. Le finestre non chiudono bene, sul pavimento si sentiva un buco sotto la moquette. Una lampadina fulminata. Non può essere considerato tre stelle, un tempo poteva essere accogliente ma è necessaria una ristrutturazione totale ed un abbellimento del cortile. Rapporto qualità prezzo assolutamente spropositato

The car parking was across the road from the hotel and down an alley, it was under CCTV surveillance but I would have preferred it to be a bit closer. I think if you were a lone traveller it might be a bit off putting

Clean and centrally located for shops..city centre and train station....Ishwar was mein host and cooked marvellous breakfasts..and accomodated time wise to early morning..Was stayimg for work purposes..so up early ..carpark a bonus also.

The guest house is next to a busy road and the beds were much harder than we are used to.

Clean with frequent .changes of towels etc if requested..centrally situated within walking distance of train station and city centre, pubs , eating places and host Ishwar a gem whose cooked breakfasts piping hot and ample. amount with tea /coffee etc..and good service..also private carpark.

We chose not to have a cooked breakfast. There was a selection of cereals but no muesli ( which we prefer)

Small room but adequate. The eu-suite very small, not much room, I had difficulty bending down to wet my face to wet shave. Also no on site parking

Nothing to dislike

The owner/caretaker was extremely friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We were one room short for our group, but he managed to arrange an extra room for us at short notice. The breakfast was excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for one night as a stopover on our way to Scotland with friends and family, and his hospitality made our stay very enjoyable.

Es un Lodge inglés precioso, muy limpio y con un personal encantador. Los desayunos fabulosos y las camas dignas de mención por su limpieza y comodidad. Calidad-precio fantástica.

We found this by accident while looking for an overnight stay whilst visiting Scotland, and it didn’t disappoint us at all. The location of the lodge was the best. There is EV charger opposite with all essential stores near by- food, groceries, et all. M8 was just 5 mins away but you’re not next to motorway so away from those vehicles noises. The rooms were cleaned and the host Ishwar was very kind to point us the parking we could use for your our stay. The breakfast was made to order. You sit and they bring it to you, all hot and fresh. And the Tea, oh my god! So good! Definitely recommend.

Room was small and a bit claustrophobic and hot. One of the other residents came back to the property late and had his tv on till 4.30am which kept us awake. Seagulls noisy outside from early on.

Our host, Ishwar, exemplified legendary Nepalese courtesy. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast, in a quiet dining room, was excellent.

Not much the property could do, but in a heatwave the room was hot through the night.

Only issue was the toilet. Described as room with private bathroom, however the toilet was shared which was not mentioned. This would have been a deal breaker had we known as my young daughter was really uncomfortable with this

Welcoming, friendly owner who carried our case upstairs. Great breakfast. Provided a fan on a very hot day. Clean room and bedding. Car parking space provided free. Tea, coffee and biscuits great.

Top floor room with sloping ceiling and velux windows. Not great as my husband is 6feet 4 tall. Bed was only a double , next to the wall and had the sloping roof over the top. Very difficult to get in and out of especially at night with the other person in the bed too. Shower was tiny. So much so that my husband didn’t attempt to get in. I did but was very cramped .

The location was perfect for us as we were passing through on a bike charity ride. The staff were really friendly and helpful, can’t fault them. They allowed us to store our bikes safely out the back of the dining area which really helped.

Our room wasn’t very clean, there was a big dirty hand print on the bathroom wall, the floor looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed for a while and I felt itchy in bed and woke up with bite marks all over my legs. The curtains also had mould on them.

A lovely B&B with really kind and attentive hosts. The rooms were clean and well arranged. Not in the most exciting part of town but car park available nearby and there is a large Asda across the road. The hosts made us feel very welcome and we were very pleased with our stay. Great value for money as well.

For a bed and breakfast nothing to dislike

10 minute qalk from the main town. The room was spacious and comforable with everything we needed and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was good and filling.

I was asked for £10 per dog (2)if I wanted or if not it didn't matter!! ,there is NO CARPARK immediately outside and the one advertised is a few hundred yards away in what looked like a disused yard ,I got my car on a side street quite near to GUEST HOUSE (as advertised)outside NOT HOTEL,staff supplied permit .

Frühstück frisch zubereitet. Das beste Frühstück meiner Woche in England. Gastgeber (wenn anwesend) sehr aufmerksam und servil. Zimmer sauber und gut und mit passender Größer. Lage nur wenige Minuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Parkplätze in der Nähe (gehören nicht zum Hotel, sind aber in gewissen Zeitfenstern kostenlos).

Check-in wirkte sehr improvisiert. Inhaber nicht da, dafür haben Gäste ausgeholfen. Auch danach haben andere Gäste bei Problemen geholfen. Schlüsselabgabe dann auch beim Reinigungspersonal? Pension hatte mehr von einer Monteurunterkunft als von einer touristischen Unterkunft, aber das war okay.

De locatie. Beloofde parkeerplaats was (al enige tijd) buiten gebruik. Bij aankomst was er niemand om in te checken. De kamer was heel klein en SUPER gehorig! Het bed was klein en kraakte zo hard dat je er wakker van wordt.

We were met on arrival by the very pleasant owner who told us everything we needed to know to make our stay a great one our room was airy and a very comfortable bed when the owner watched me limping up the stairs he asked us to pack our things up and he would move us to a room on the ground floor which we thought was a lovely touch this room was even larger than the one we had been in so win win now to talk about the breakfast which was delicious and freshly cooked to order with great choice full english great but cheese omelettes were the best we were offered more coffee more toast lovely family run business who were all so friendly and pleasant if going to Carlisle in the future would 100% stay here for sure.
