Amanda was very friendly and welcoming and the room was very clean and I particularly enjoyed the small touches, the homebaked short bread and scottish whiskey. The breakfast was delicious and I loved how there was a daily special to choose from too!

Lovely room and a great quality, tasty breakfast tailored to our needs. Amanda and Geoff did a great job hosting and everything was super clean and smart.

Host are the most amazing couple! We were taking aback and very much pleased with everything and anything, starting with location, room design, breakfasts and to a point where hosts were most helpful to find commodities for our surprise present for our friend. It was super clean, quiet, tasty for all senses, warm hearted place I’ve ever stayed! (Considering I don’t usually write reviews). Amanda and Geoff, I wish you on my behalf and my friends all the best with this home, it was truly lovely. Thank you for the bottom of my heart.

Both Amanda & Geoffrey have thought of everything you could possible want & need when you are staying with them. Service & hospitality was over and above what you would expect, highly recommend this guesthouse.

Amanda and Geoff are the kind of hosts that make you want to return, just to catch up with them both! They have turned Merlindale into an elegant, but warm and welcoming B+B. The rooms are beautiful, with every need catered for. Geoff's breakfasts are a delight, with lots of thought going into the daily, delicious specials. Amanda's attention to detail can be seen everywhere-from the homemade pots of granola and muesli, to the very welcome dram of whiskey in each room, and homemade shortbread! A real gem!

Even if you don’t have to go to Crieff, go anyway just to experience Merlindale. A truly wonderful place also without the beautiful surroundings. From the worm welcome, the perfect decor to the personal hospitality and the amazing breakfast. The atmosphere at Amanda and Geoff’s is just what everyone needs. I left this morning and is already thinking of when I can return. Merlindale gave me and my parents the perfect Scottish B&B experience at the home of this lovely Australia couple.

We loved everything about this boutique b and b,the attention to detail, the wonderful room and extremely comfortable bed and the fantastic breakfast. The hosts were extremely welcoming and very attentive.

Great location - lovely house well decorated and nice old furniture. Clean - friendly staff and the breakfast was excellent. Space for parking. sour host was lovely and communicated really well before during and after our stay.

Water pressure in shower was a little low. Also the space in the shower cubicle was too small.

Owners are fun and attentive. Decor is amazing. Most rooms are ensuite. Easy walk into Crieff to find restaurants and shops. We would highly recommend.

Lovely decor, Amanda and Geof made you feel so welcome. Little touches in the bedroom added to experience. Breakfast was exceptional. They went that extra mile.

we received a very warm welcome from Amanda on arrival and showed us to our lovely rooms and explained everything in detail to us. This is a charming old house and it felt very homely, We must also thank Geoff for what can only be described as a perfect Scottish breakfast.

Cannot fault this accommodation and would stay here again. We were here for 2 nights as we were at a Wedding in Crieff. Huge thanks to to the proprietors Amanda and Geoff for looking after us so well.

Lovely large room that was clean and well presented. Breakfast was up there with best we’ve had, superb quality and selection offered. Hosts were lovely and always happy to have a friendly chat.

Super relaxing and quiet, the rooms are huge and all the little touches, homemade shortbread, nip of whiskey for a nightcap. Very close to the gold course and few minutes walk to the town. Lovely breakfast, great hosts.

I needed in an iron in my room - not provided. No response to the hall bell so had to do without. Small point and the only negative to a very enjoyable and hospitable stay.

Perfect location and lovely, welcoming hosts. We stayed in the Thistle Room which was very large and well kitted out and had a smart TV. The bed was very comfortable and large. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities and a lovely touch of homemade shortbread. The cooked breakfast was lovely too.

The only downside was having a separate bathroom despite Booking.com saying the room was ensuite. However, the private bathroom for the room is directly opposite and accessed easily with a key.

Fantastic stay and the hosts were lovely. Highly recommended and look forward to our next stay

The Best! From the homemade shortbread to the pot of tea on arrival and the delicious waffles for breakfast, everything was perfect! Great location for exploring Crieff and the Perthshire area.

Our stay at the Merlindale was great from the start easy to find plenty of of road parking. Amanda was a fantastic hostess and our room was lovely comfortable bed great shower and room facilities were great with Amanda getting us a welcome pot of Yorkshire tea and very lovely homemade shortbread. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and very well cooked.

Chose this hotel as a one night stopover on our way up to our next destination and it was so lovely we wished we were staying another night. The hosts were so lovely and welcoming and breakfast was excellent. Our room was beautiful and we peeked into other vacant rooms which had their doors open and they were equally good. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful property, very well maintained and immaculately kept, really comfortable bed, quality laundry and a hot shower. Amanda and Jeff were superb hosts, friendly, and remembered our preferences for food and drink. Just wish we had an extra night or two.

Property was amazing. Each room was beautifully decorated and with the most unique furniture and fittings. Lovely little touches like homemade shortbread and a ‘wee dram’ to wash it down. During our five night stay there was clean bedding and towels changed mid way through. The breakfasts were on point every morning. As a group of motorcyclists we were really catered for with a very large heated garage to safely lock the bikes at night and in the garage there were facilities for hanging our riding gear and charging up our helmet communications.

After 30 years of holidays in Scotland, this was definitely the best experience we have ever had! The rooms were so tastefully and colourfully decorated, very very comfortable. As was the whole house. Spotlessly clean! The breakfast was made to order, perfect care was taken of the dietary needs of one of our group. Amanda and her husband are both perfect hosts, friendly, very welcoming and helpful! We would love to come back!

We had a warm and friendly welcome, the room was spacious and immaculately presented and the breakfast was cooked exactly to our liking. It was a short, pleasant walk into the town, where we had dinner on the evening that we arrived.

There was nothing not to like about our stay.

The building is Victorian era and has been tastefully modernised , it’s absolutely stunning inside and out .

We had a wonderful 1 night stay at Merlindale. Helen and Paul were so welcoming and the accommodation is so comfortable and serene. Our room was beautifully decorated with a huge comfortable bed and the bathroom was huge! Fantastic shower and everything you could need. Breakfast was a highlight, I'll never forget Helen's homemade granola. This will be our top choice for when we stay in this area again.

We had the most wonderful stay at Merlindale. It would be hard to point out at the highlight - the room and the house were so cosy and comfortable, Helen and Paul were the loveliest hosts we've had and made us feel at home as soon as we stepped inside, and last but not least, the breakfast was delicious and had a large choice of homemade treats. Highly recommend!

It takes a lot for me to give a place a 5 as always think there is room for improvement. This place we found faultless. Clean fresh beautifully decorated with friendly hosts who gave us a warm welcome and explained all the parts of our stay. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was truly amazing. Full Scottish, home made granola and yoghurt. Service was excellent. Couldn't have asked for anything more. We spoke to our hosts who took time to engage and chat with us. The house is an easy walk to the town centre and easy to find by car. I highly recommend this B&B if you're in Crieff or exploring the local area. Thank you Paul and Helen for a lovely stay and all the effort you put into those little personal touches like the wee dram of whiskey and home made shortbread. It makes all the difference.

What a property - everything was amazing. Paul was the best host and was always on hand if we needed anything. The rooms were so nice and bed so comfortable. The little touches like a 'wee dram' of whiskey in our rooms were a brilliant touch. Don't even get me started on the breakfast - what a breakfast! Paul you are a star!
