Houskeeping nur alle drei Tage😖
Story down below. The staff did get us a different room, so its better than nothing. However, it only had 1 queen bed for 5 people, so not exactly equivalent to the 2 beds and couch that we reserved.
Me and 4 friends booked a room with 2 queen beds and a pullout couch a week or two in advance for a concert in Chicago. While attending the concert and before we were able to check in, I received a voicemail at 10pm saying that if we did not call back immediately we would lose our room (even though I paid for it ahead of time). I could not answer as the concert was very loud, so after the concert I called back, and they informed me that they gave our room away to someone else. This is despite the fact that I booked the room for check-in after 11:00pm (which was an hour before they first called me) in addition to me responding to an email from the hotel saying that we were at a concert and that we would be checking in late. They informed me that they gave our room away because I booked through a third party and that they didn't have conformation of our stay. After emphatically telling them that we paid ahead and didnt have anywhere else to stay, they said that their sister location had a room for us. This would have been acceptable except for the fact that the room had one queen bed and not even a pullout couch for 5 people. They didn't even have cots for us to use. I am very disappointed that they gave away our room that was nonrefundable and paid for ahead of time because I was unable to call within an hour of a voicemail that they left at 10:00pm (this was their first attempt to contact me by the way). We did not receive any credit for the major downgrade of our room either. Frankly, this is the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel, and I cannot believe the shady practices that appear to be happening here.
Ubicación, el personal el trato la limpieza todo fue genial!
Location, excellent breakfast
La ubicación es muy buena. La atención y flexibilidad del personal fantástica.
No hubo nada que me disgustara especialmente.
The view of our first room was nice. They did up moving us from the 10th floor to the 3rd floor
First room the sofa bed was broken. Hard to pull up then when we’re able to get it out the springs were on the floor broken. I Was not going to allow my son to sleep on it. They changed our room from 10th floor to the 3rd. Veiw sucked. The shower drain was terrible slow to drain. And the tv kept going in and out. The breakfast was like school breakfast.
Good selection.
El.hotel es muy lujoso, tiene personal excepcional
It's a beautiful place, just to enjoy Chicago. The best thing was to know that you can store your luggage before check in and after check out so that you can continue to enjoy Chicago without having to carry your bags since your flight leaves later.
Excellent location and comfortable

Clean room and common area, happy staff, good food at breakfast and around the hotel, safe ambience, nice location, quiet, nice service, pretty good wifi
The hotel was within walking distance to many attractions. The room was very good and it has a guest laundry which was convenient. Breakfast was included.
The valet and reception staff were very helpful and kind. They made the process easy. We were able to immediately check in. Our room was spacious, clean and updated. The location put us within a 10-20 minute walk from everything we wanted to do. They had the best breakfast buffet for any hotel I’ve been to and I loved the aesthetics of Ema.
Great staff, convenient to local attractions, very clean. The only negative was the breakfast. There were not enough options. The options available were lacking flavor.
Extremeley noisy hotel 24/7. We could not sleep at all. In addition to all the street noise, there is a fire station across the street.

Enjoyed the location near magnificent mile and near the CTA train and multiple bus stops. The breakfast was lovely and the rooms were clean.
Great location for entertainment, the river experiences, Shedd Aquarium, Grant/Millennium Park, Michigan Ave and great restaurants..
It was nice and clean.
No swimming pool
Very convenient to most of the downtown area of Chicago.
It was expensive for a chain hotel but it also was peak travel season so somewhat understandable. Close to good restaurants. Only complaint was doors on wardrobe closet squeaky. Woke up my husband when I got in later after a baseball game.
Very clean and good price
Good
Great complimentary breakfast, kind staff, clean hotel
The pull out couch/bed was awful. The thinnest mattress possible, you could feel each spring.
It was close to where we wanted to be.
We did not know it is directly across from the fire station. It was very loud all night. I never would’ve booked it if I would’ve known that in the first place, but I guess it was my fault for not researching the location better. We also ordered food from Ema because it said in a room that it could get delivered directly to us and it was left down by the reception and we were not notified. We weren’t even given any utensils to eat our food with it, and the food was expensive. We were not impressed. My shower was either scorching hot or slightly warm I could never get it in the middle. It would just all of a sudden go to being way too hot. Our room was very expensive because it was downtown which I get. We also had somebody knock on our door multiple times and ask us what time we were checking out when checkout is at 11 and we still had well over 45 minutes to check out it felt very rushed and they clearly wanted us to leave. I am not one to complain by any means, but I was extremely disappointed with the amount of money we spent everything seemed to be going wrong.
A great place to stay while visiting Chicago. Location was perfect for touring the city and finding great restaurants, we walked everywhere. Even though a fire station was across the street, we only heard it once or twice the first night. The hotel leaves ear plugs and a noise machine on the night stand, but we didn't need them. I would definitely return to this hotel if I go again.
Husband and I traveled with our teens and stayed there for three nights. 10th floor with king bed and pull-out couch. Pros: -Clean rooms -Decent breakfast selection and hours -Beautiful lobby and breakfast area (breakfast is held in the attached restaurant) -Close to everything! Cons: -Pricey for no pool -Housekeeping did bare minimum which is making bed and folding towels. Did not replenish toilet paper (which when you have three girls in a room - it matters!) -Two elevators are slow. -No local market/convenience store nearby. Behind front desk, they do have some pop and water for sale. -Lighting is dark. -If you don't use valet for $74+/night, there's really no space to drop off guests. Yes, would stay again! But keep in mind, there is a fire station across the street so expect a lot of noise. Didn't bother us and hotel provides sound machine and ear plugs.
The location is excellent - close to everything. The rates for the hotel were surged during the time I was there due to many events in the city - I paid almost $600 a night and do not recommend ever doing that there. You can stay at one of the 5 star hotels for close to that. Hotel is clean, but very outdated and needs renovation. Bed is very comfortable. Staff was wonderful. They tried to tell me they didn’t have any early check in and that I would have to wait, but eventually got me in two hours earlier. Staff was friendly and kind. The location can’t be beat - close to all good restaurants, landmarks, and shopping. They have a great, highly rated restaurant attached to the hotel. If they renovate, they will be hard to compete with. For an outdated Hyatt Place, they should never have the rates over $500 a night ever. It’s not even close to high end standards. I will say, the hotel is clean, and that helps tremendously. The atmosphere was lovely, I often heard every word from the hallway and heard the people next to me having a little party, luckily they didn’t stay long. Walls are thin and it’s in front of the fire station. The firefighters were leaving several times a day and it’s loud. So loud that they provide ear plugs in the room for you on the nightstand. Didn’t bother me, but I know a lot of guests don’t like that. It’s city life!
Friendly breakfast staff. Friendly hotel staff. Great location.
No microwaves in room, but was able to request one and problem was solved.
The Hyatt Place River North hotel is a perfect location for exploring Chicago. Many places, such as the Navy Pier, local parks etc. are walkable. It's a great location and the breakfast was really good.
The brief overnight stay at the Hyatt Place was quite a rewarding experience, from check in with Hotel staff and kitchen staff. The breakfast food layout and presentation was quite delicious.
Location
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Great and convenient location! Well maintained facility. Lighting in the hotel room is a bit dim, but the bathroom is well lit. Customer service was great although an early checkin was unavailable. My luggage was properly held and safely retrieved. Thanks again for the welcome drink voucher for the on site restaurant. It’s convenient to have the restaurant there. Thanks to Keandra for her assistance at checkout.
The location was good
The price and there were no real food because they had electrical issues
The location is at the heart of the city. Very convenient. Restaurants, shopping centers and tourist destinations are within reach… very accessible indeed.
I really don’t like the setting of the toilet. The water was pooling in the whole toilet area. After showering we felt like we don’t want to use anymore due to the improper drainage system.
Good location. Close to river sidewalk
Breakfast options could be improved, our aircon and fridge were pretty noisy so we had to switch them off
Excellent location near the Riverwalk and many many appealing restaurants. The neighbourhood is vibrant clean and fascinating to walk through. Gracie at the front desk was extremely pleasant and super helpful and is one of the reasons we’ll return.
Excellent location and facilities. The room we had was extremely spacious and comfortable. It felt like you had your own little living room. We LOVE the breakfast included in the price of the stay. So much variety and the restaurant space is absolutely lovely.
The rooms are a bit outdated, would definitely benefit from a renovation. But it served its purpose. I found that the desk was too large and took a lot of space too. The AC was a bit inconsistent. No matter what temperature you selected, it could turn warm or “nice” cold. It was a gamble LOL But we just tweaked it often until we got to the temperature we wanted. There also seemed to be some issues the last days of our stay with the electricity and breakfast was limited on our last morning. But there still was plenty of food to select from. These are minor things that didn’t really have any negative impacts on our stay.
Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is good. Rooms were large and able to fit entire family comfortably
Bed/pillow were OK. Pretty average hotel for comfort.

Nice hotel with comfortable spacious rooms. Room was quiet. Clean and bed comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good free breakfast with lots of options. Only downside is valet parking very expensive at 74 dollars. Nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants and boutique stores. Would highly recommend.
I always have a good experience staying at the Hyatt Place River North! The valet parking is so convenient and the hotel staff is always helpful and friendly. I usually opt for a room with a city view, which is worth a little extra in my opinion. And the onsite restaurant is so so good!
We stayed at the Hyatt Place River North to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary, and the team here made it truly special from the moment we walked in. We’d let the general manager Heather know in advance about the occasion, and she went above and beyond…our room had celebratory balloons plus a split of prosecco and scones waiting for us. It’s the kind of detail that tells you the staff actually cares, not just checks a box. Heather also polled her team for a local non-touristy restaurant recommendation, and they steered us to Gretel, an excellent spot with one of the best high-end burgers we’ve had in a while. The front desk team was consistently warm. Taiwan and Amy both stood out for genuine friendliness and our housekeeper Norma left a lovely welcome note on day one. Extra towels were delivered promptly every time we asked, no hassle. As for the property itself: the lobby flows right into a trendy restaurant, giving the whole space a lively, social energy that’s a nice departure from the typical Hyatt Place feel. Even during a busy holiday week packed with young families, the public areas stayed clean and well-kept. If you want a hotel that treats a special occasion like it actually matters, stay here. We’ll be back.
Room clean and confortable, good location
Breakfast, I believe it could be better, also 1 line for all guests, 1 way to get into it and the same way for exit
I like that was a center of most of things. I was doing very clean and organized and spacious.
La ubicación muy buena y estuvo bien
El desayuno demasiadas personas y poca variedad
The "free breakfast" was always overcrowded. I requested twice to have our room cleaned, as well as at the front desk when I was leaving for the day. I was unhappy to return to my room at 11 PM and find no clean towels and glasses. The A/C was wonky. I could turn it to 69* and it would be ice cold, but it I tried to warm the room a bit by turning the controls to 70* the heat would come on full force. One night we were kept awake until after 4 AM by loud, booming noises and music. The front desk didn't know what was going on. We dressed and went downstairs at 4-AMish and the front desk had "not heard anything". We went outside and saw a motorcycle parked down the street, booming a sound system, and hosting a street party. The front desk was unclear about what to do so we suggested, "call the police", and voila!- the police were called and the noice subsided. Why should it take a guest to make such an obvious suggestion? The next morning it seems that everyone on the elevator was commenting on 'the really loud noise in the middle of the night."
Comfortable hotel in a great location. We stayed 3 nights while visiting Chicago. Desk staff answered all.our questions. Location near red line, so could get around easily. Good restaurants nearby.
I'd have to say that for a mid-level hotel, this property checks all the boxes, especially when it comes to location. The vibe here is simply incredible. There are a couple dozen great restaurants surrounding the hotel and downtown Chicago and the Loop are well within walking distance or a very short Uber ride away. As for the hotel itself, the rooms and common areas are spotless, the front desk staff is engaging, the beds are comfy, there's daily housekeeping and the complimentary breakfast is good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of outside traffic and noise, which is obviously no fault of the hotel and is to be expected in the heart of the city. The other reason was because the land line telephone in my room didn't work, so contacting the front desk from the room would have been difficult, in the event of an emergency. But, the phone issue can be easily fixed and otherwise it's a great hotel.
Clean and friendly
Had to wait longer after 4 pm for check in but they gave us comp tickets for drinks.
Best hotel on the Chicago River! Ask for a river view on a high floor. We’ve stayed at several locations in the river area, but this is our favorite!
Good location for all we wanted to do.
Elevator 1 of only 2 broke down in the morning - huge wait line for only working one resulted - my 77 year old husband climbed 9 flights to get more coffee to me before it got cold. Ridiculous to only have two elevators. Check in was terrible - no help from desk staff - waited an hour for room to be ready- finally said “give us ANY room”.
Rooms are good and Location and friendly staff
Breakfast basic and bar area was always used for something and couldn't relax there after day exploring Chicago. Showers require updating.
Location
rooms were separated quite a bit 8 floors
An absolute gem in the Chicago River North area. The staff was incredible, the rooms and service is world class, the location is perfect, and their rates are competitive. Cannot recommend enough.
Posizione centrale e stanza molto comoda e spaziosa
La colazione potrebbe migliorare
The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-15 minute walk from the nearest metro station (Clark/Lake), making it easy to reach via public transit (CTA Blue Line) from ORD Airport. The lobby and restaurant on the main level were attractive, welcoming spaces, and the staff throughout our stay were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the guest rooms were a major disappointment. The rooms are clearly outdated and overdue for a refresh. The box springs were tattered, the carpet had visible rips and stains, the couch was sagging, and the throw pillows were stained. While the room appeared to have been cleaned, the worn condition of the furnishings made it feel dirty overall. Another downside was the noise. The hotel is located directly across from a fire station, and even on a higher floor, the sirens throughout the night were very noticeable. Combined with typical city street noise, it made getting a good night's sleep difficult. The hotel does provide earplugs and a sound machine in the room, which suggests this is a known issue. Overall, while the location, public transit access, and friendly staff were positives, I would not recommend staying here until the rooms are updated. Given the room condition and noise levels, I would choose a different hotel on my next visit.
Paying separately for parking is not included
This hotel is a great walkable location to everything on the north side of the Chicago River. The view of Willis Tower was nice, but the location across the street from the Fire Station was not ideal. The hotel provides a sound machine & earplugs, but nothing mutes the sound of the trucks at 2am. Our youngest usually loves the sleeper sofa, but she found this one very uncomfy. The staff were super friendly, the room was spacious. The queen beds were comfy. The breakfast was good, but my kids did miss the make-your-own waffle stations that some of the HP’s have.
It’s the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in Chicago. Period. And I have yo be in Chicago once every two or three weeks during the past year so you know have a lot of bench mark. First, I was shocked learning that this hotel didn’t have a business center. I took a red-eye flight to optimize my time and when I arrived in the hotel, I kindly asked the receptionist if my room is available, and if I could use the business center to take work calls. To my surprise, he said it didn’t have a business center. I’m kinda shocked learning it because to me Hyatt Place is more like a hotel catering business people (you know the gist: not many amenities- just a place to sleep). He asked me to pay 75$ for early check-in. Granted I’m a titanium with Marriott and only Discoverist with Hyatt, I considered thisas an extortion. The room is available and already ready with no use, the opportunity cost is literally 0. Anyway, since I had to take a call and I had no place so I sufferred paying 75$ plus 14.5$ extra fees they had (I kid you not- at this point it’s just laughable). Anyway, it is not the worst part. I stayed at the 11th floor and I couldn’t sleep due to the noise outside of the window. I was shocked and wondered what kind of cheap windows they used so that I could hear every single traffic noise. The breakfast was horrid- I couldn’t imagine how a hotel could literally fail the basic item for breakfast such as bacon, sausage etc. Basically the only thing I could eat…. was an apple and a cup of coffee. The only plus aide for this hotel is a location. But still, paying a lot for this hotel is a crime. Go to the Fairfield or Aloft at Mag Mile and you will thank me. The only star for this hotel is probably for the manager who reached out to me when I reviewed the hotel. But even then, she insisted that the outlet next to the bed is working. Well, it is not. And if it really is, your outlet design still failed hotel guests because I couldnot use it at all.
A great location in River North makes most of Downtown Chicago walkable. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Definately a great Hyatt.
Hotel was clean overall. Staff was friendly and informative. Close to many bars and restraunts downtown.
I booked this hotel with credit card free nights as a Discoverist. Everyone I encountered there was friendly and professional, from the folks at the front desk to the staff managing the breakfast area. My room was clean and spacious, and I appreciated extra touches like ear plugs in the room for those who may be sensitive to street noise. (I didn't find it noisy at all.) The location is right downtown and very walkable. The furnishings in public areas and the restaurant/bar were modern and attractive. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely stay there again.
Breakfast and cleanliness
Nothing
The staff was so welcoming. For the price, I thought the hotel was chic and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was above average.
The location
The parking and the room
This is a good hotel and centrally located. It's close to many L stations; so, easy to get to or from either airport. Restaurants abound - plenty of choices for every taste. The staff at this hotel was fantastic. They were eager to please, offered a smile and "hello" whenever you entered the hotel and were super helpful with recommendations around the area. My only disappointment was the condition of the room. The carpet is worn and ripped. The sofa cushions are worn out. Lighting is OK. WiFi worked great, but there are only 2 USB ports that are connected to the clock radio. As they charge a premium price to stay here, they should have the initiative to upgrade the hotel and keep it fresh.
Camera molto grande, doccia.
Colazione nei piatti di carta, uova liofilizzate.
The place is conveniently located, cleanliness ok?, but overall it’s fine. However the customer service at the front desk, needs to improve. Traveling for business, sometimes you need an extra hour after the check out. Well, do not even think to ask, as they are trained to say NO. At least that was the response that from received from Marisol. Really out of touch with the needs of a traveling business person.
Superbe emplacement.
Great location. Close to excellent restaurants and public transportation
Noisy neighbors kept us up until past midnight. Our room overlooked a noisy back alley . Major fire station on Illinois St with frequent alarms
Great breakfast, clean room, friendly staff, great location.
Do not put two bottles there which is not free, charge $5 each with small notification, it is stupid and cheating, who decide this should be fired from your team, poor leadership.
The staff were so helpful in giving us directions to various attractions. Our room had a beautiful view of the city and the breakfast that was complimentary had many choices.
It was a little too far from the train stop had to walk 10 or more blocks with luggage.

Room with a sofa bed and two queens was roomy and comfortably accommodated 5 adults. The breakfast was good and staff was very friendly. Location was very close to the River walk too.
Nothing, perfect for a long weekend.
Staff even presented my son with a little goodie bag for his birthday.
The only thing we liked was the location -
Everything, from the beds, to the hygiene, the HVAC needs to be addressed, the property needs to be better maintained overall. It is not a housekeeping issue, it is a hotel management issue.
This was my first trip to Chicago, and the hotel was pleasant, clean, and in a great location. I would stay here again. No complaints.
The bed was great! Breakfast was good. Staff nice. View wonderful!
Bathroom shower area needs scrubbing & bathroom spray is a must since you have no fan!
Had to skip breakfast
Central location, great breakfast, Ema is delicious and all the staff seemed to go above and beyond; always a smile and asking what they can do for me!
It was further than I thought from River; I’m not used to all the walking but it was good for me. No complaints about the property.
