The hotel and my room were very clean, and the staff was very helpful. They were kind enough to offer us welcome drinks, which we really appreciated. Great location, very close to the Magnificent Mile. The gym is great!

They offered housekeeping but it got to our room at 5pm. The water pressure in the shower was quite low. The street in front of the hotel can be a little noisy.

Bathroom light was burned out, but maintenance was there to fix it before I had a chance to report it. Ice machine on our floor was not working for the entire week (10th floor) so I always had to go to another floor for ice.

Excelente ubicacion del hotel, a pocas cuadras de zonas muy turisticas. Fue nuestra primera vez en Chicago y la cercania del hotel nos ayudó a sentirnos seguros. Lo que mas me gustó fueron sus grandes ventanas, despertar mirando esta bella ciudad fue magico.

My family and I stayed here for four days. Room was comfortable and clean. Location was perfect for exploring and convenient to the L as well. What made this place memorable was the staff. All of the workers at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. Always greeted people as they came in and out each day. Javier and Fannie are AMAZING. Breakfast was our favorite part of the day because of them. Super friendly and kind, chatting with everyone. If you're looking for a great location thats clean and has an amazing staff, this is it!

Fantastic Hotel ! Everything was close by. Attention was 10/10 especially Javier , Fannie and Diana at breakfast. Nicest people you will ever meet. Truly felt like a family. Rooms were clean and the hotel was very clean and well kept. 10/10 experience

I haven’t even stayed here yet but I can tell you that the associates are wonderful. Jose T took the time to answer all of my questions and reassured me everything was lined up correctly-he even gave me advice on where to view the fireworks! Ty Marriott and ty Jose, I can’t wait to arrive!

This is our 3rd time at this hotel and we will be back! The location is perfect, price is on point and service is unbelievable! The King Studio room is perfect for our family of 3, but would work for bigger families as well. Javier and Fanny at breakfast make our stay so memorable! We never want to miss breakfast! If you want a clean hotel, with free breakfast, at a great price, that is family friendly, in a great location book this hotel!

Hotel was clean, room was nice and spacious, employees were kind and helpful and breakfast was good. It’s right across from the fire station so you will hear sirens often but it’s right in the middle of tons of restaurants, shopping, and things to do. We parked our car and walked for the whole duration of the trip.

The parking garage is two blocks away from the hotel, and the parking garages are sketchy. Watch your back.

I've stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago Downtown River North multiple times and have consistently had great experiences. The hotel is in a fantastic location, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the overall experience is always excellent. What really makes this property stand out, however, is the staff—especially Fannie and Javier. They are always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Going down for breakfast is genuinely a highlight of the stay when they're there. They take the time to greet guests, make everyone feel welcome, and consistently provide outstanding service with a smile. Fannie and Javier are a real asset to the hotel and a big reason I continue to stay here whenever I'm in Chicago. Thank you both for making every visit memorable!

This hotel is excellent, centrally located in downtown and plenty of good restaurants and amenities around it. Jose at the reception is doing a fantastic job, very friendly, professional, helpful, and has excellent communication skills in addition he is very well customer oriented. He helped us with all questions we have since it was our first time in Chicago and open nice conversation with customers and a pleasure to deal with. Upon checking make sure you request room cleaning/housekeeping if you need it, and precise which dates exactly. We used valet parking for the duration of our stay to avoid dealing with other options. The rooms and the hotel is modern, no issue. Amenities in the bathroom, include shampoo, conditioner and body wash, plus soap bar, and hair dryer. Small fridge available in the room. Bottle of filtered water for $9.00 so make sure you bring what you need from outside. Breakfast included, but don’t rely on it if you want something better, and i recommend exploring outside, including a close by drive-thru McDonald’s that is open 24/7 serving breakfast. There are floors with ice machines, so if you like a cold drink, ask for a room at same floor of the machine. We booked online the big bus tour for one day pass, the bus has 11 stops and stop # 11 is close to the hotel. So you can take the bus there and go until it starts the route from stop # 1. We are pleased with our stay and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chicago.

Fairfield Inn Chicago River North is a fantastic place to stay. It’s in a perfect location to walk to attractions and to get to the subway. The front desk agents were very friendly and helpful. Fannie and Javier were phenomenal hosts for the breakfast service. They made sure everyone had what they needed, and were full of helpful information about how to get around the city. Highly recommend staying here!

Just completed a 3-night stay at this hotel as we came into town to see the Cubs play the Mets. Best Pro: Javier and Fannie at the complimentry breakfast. They did an EXCELLENT job at greeting everyone when they walked in, keeping food well stocked, keeping the counter clean, and cleaning up the tables quickly. In addition, they came by to ask if we needed anything. I have stayed at many similiar hotels with this offering, they are the two best. Give them a raise! Pros: Convenient to transit to get to Wrigley, very friendly front desk staff that greated us leaving and entering the hotel and provied various recommendations, great location near so many food choices and a really nice part of town, and clean rooms. Cons: Across the street from a fire station and when they rolled out one night at 3 am, we were up for a while. But, I am a light sleeper. All in all, a good decison to stay here and would again.

Location is very good and staff is very polite, but the price for this hotel with it’s convenience very high.

We couldn’t find simple water in rooms and tea. There was only coffee and I think vast majority of people prefer tea, so I believe that it is not difficult to put some packs of tea and electric teapot in the rooms.

This hotel was nice and clean and well priced. Literally the ONLY issue was that it was right across from the fire station, so I was affected as a light sleeper (the family was overall fine). The breakfast attendants were the nicest I've ever encountered, and housekeeping was fantastic. Front desk attendants were very friendly too. Room was big for a city location, with queen beds, and the front lobby had lots of space to sit. The location was otherwise very convenient to the loop and the Mag mile in Chicago, and we were able to walk everywhere, and could've easily taken the El had we needed to venture out further. Breakfast was good, although I would appreciate more granola toppings and daily bananas. The parking ($60/night, doubt we could've done better) was about a block away.

The place was too congested for breakfast.It would have been better if there was a bigger space.

This is always a solid choice when we stay downtown. The location is great and the rooms clean and comfortable. The availability of a white noise machine and earplugs is a nice touch in a noisy city center. We appreciated having decent counter space and ample towel bars/hooks in the bathroom. Not being fans of shower gels, we also appreciated the availability of bar soap. The water pressure could be better and housekeeping needs to be more aware of bathroom supplies as both our Kleenex box and the body lotion bottle were empty. Breakfast was fine – the usual fare – and Javier was wonderful – friendly and attentive. We’ll be back.

Não deixam fazer late checkout a não ser que se pague $25 dólares a hora, mas tem um local para guardar a bagagem.

Super lokalizacja, blisko do metra, autobusów. Bardzo pomocna obsługa (poprosiłam o przedłużacz i pan technik pojawił się po chwili, pokój sprzątany każdego dnia i pr,emiła obsługa przy śniadaniu). Po wymeldowaniu, mogliśmy zostawić bagaże na recepcji i jeszcze pozwiedzać miasto przed wieczornym odlotem.

Okna wychodziły na dach budynku, na którym znajdowały się dość głośne urządzenia. Z zatyczkami do uszu było ok :)

The charge for parking was simply outrageous... $75. for overnight parking. in our case, we checked in around 10 pm and checked out around 9 am.

It is a wonderful hotel. We took a red eye flight and arrived at the hotel around 7:30 am. Went right to the airport to ask if they would hold our bags till check in time. They checked us in early and told us we could have breakfast too. Perfect location, very clean and friendly and helpful staff.

It is accessible to the train and buses. Fannie and Javier were amazing. They made sure everyone is comfortable during breakfast service. Staff at front desk are helpful too.

The water coming out of the shower was very weak and the shower head was not movible. The only or primary light sources were coming from the lamps and there were no bulbs on the ceiling to light up the whole room not even half of it.
