Good location, excellent rooms, hot water, excellent food, lovely view from the Signature rooms.
I feel the rooms are a bit far from the dining facilities. This is probably because I am not able to walk long distances. Staff for breakast are not experienced as before in meeting the needs of customers. They can be trained some more
The staff was really helpful and good, they were polite and obliged to all our requests, without even asking they arranged a cake for my wife's b'day as a surprise which was really sweet.
The food was slightly expensive but it was really good.
The place, the staff and the food
Felt some of the rates were pretty high. Plus service charge above these rates felt like a pinch too hard.
Thank you for a wonderful service . Earl’s Secret is the best place for an awesome meal, delicious food and very well made ! The bar was a surprise and was like a speakeasy , great music and fantastic vibe. The Buffett Breakfast spread was amazing too!
Please work on your hi tea service , a small tweak can make the whole evening tea a seamless and enjoyable session. The staff was struggling keeping up with requests and timely service
Staff, especially restaurant staff were very friendly, accommodating and receptive to our needs. Breakfast was good, variety of options.Food was great at the Earl's Secret Restaurant, although a bit pricey.
Hotel situated a small distance from the CBD. Have to use taxi service to reach the CBD.
Awesome place except that little overpriced
Courteous staff, clean and hygienic rooms, amazing fireplace.
WiFi should have been better. Apart from that everything was perfect.
Things couldn't be better, the only issue would be coming with your own car or arranging a taxi before hand.
The only thing I would suggest is to add more sockets in the room.
The property is beautiful. It has a vintage feel to it. Breakfast spread was good with a variety of options. Customer service was swift and the staff was helpful
Faced hot water issue in the morning and it didn’t get resolved even after multiple requests.
A pleasant and cozy stay with my family. The staff was very welcoming. The food was very nice. The bar was cozy. The location is close to shopping centre. We also took a brief walk to a tea garden near the resort which also provided some great view. No complaints and would love to visit again.
Indoor game could be added. If it rains in ooty then the sightseeing is not recommended. Having indoor entertainment will help
Cleanliness
Freezing cold breeze from the defunct chimney that turned our room into an ice box
Loved the property, ambience, heritage charm, and hospitality. Beautiful place with a lot of character. Had a wonderful stay and would definitely visit again.
Only the food. It was okay, but felt a bit average for such an exceptional property.
Location.. view..room.. cleaning..the ambience..the decor..the food the staff..the glass house..the breakfast..the lawns..and everything
All great
Location, eye for customer comfort and staff courtesy
Nature trail that is offered needs to be more informative
The rooms were comfortable, the atmosphere was calm, and the staff were courteous and welcoming. Even though we stayed for just one night, it left us wishing we had planned a longer visit.
Nothing
View is obstructed. Very old and not maintained
There's three spaces to eat food. an indoor section, and outdoor. These are all quite charming. the gardens are well maintained with a lovely variety of flowers. the room service is prompt
the actual rooms aren't connected to the old world charm main restaurant. My room was a good 10 min walk down a slope from the main reception area. Which means if there's a surprise rain( which in my case there were many) you can be quite stuck. The food had some greats but also many misses. I knew i'd need an earlier check in as i was travelling with my toddler had called in the day before to ensure that my room would be ready before hand, but was still kept waiting for over an hour.
It has great location in the heart of the city close to everyone tourist attraction, great staff, clean and safe
The rooms don't have ac or fan however it does get pretty chilly so they are not necessary but it still causes the room to get quite stale
The restaurant food is good. Property is maintained well. Our room view was good.
Need to improve the check-in service. While checking in some guests were given Welcome drink and we were not given welcome drink. Also, the rooms did not have refrigerator. Room we stayed had lots of noise from out side road. So could not enjoy the balcony.
I stayed with my family, the resort is higly accessible yet quaint overlooking Ooty. Everything was good.. Will visit again
Quaint old Bungalow tastefully done up with modern bathroom. Rooms have retained wooden look and feel but are comfortable. Nice lawn overlooking the valley. Excellent restaurant and bar.
They need to do more to keep flies out of the breakfast buffet area
Beautiful property, carefully put together with lovely garden and views. The staff were lovely and really helpful especially the bar staff who mixed great cocktails! Food was also excellent.
Nothing
Good location.
Leak in the bathroom and noisy room to begin with (which backed onto the kitchen) however was changed on request. Breakfast variety could have better. Service was slow at times.
Gorgeous, utterly peaceful location, up on the hill and out of the hustle and bustle of the town. A prefect place to chill. Our room was enormous and very comfortable and had a sunny, glassed in verandah which we used a great deal. Earl's Secret Restaurant was sensational, (not cheap, by local standards, but worth it) and we ended up eating there every night. We also loved the cozy bar. Decor and the open fire in the restaurant made us feel part of a bygone era. We enjoyed the add ons, like the nature walk, complementary biscuits and tea at 5pm, chocolates and hot water bottles delivered to our room, and the breakfast was extensive and delicious. Gardens are beautiful too.
Our room was lovely, but looked a little tired and needing a bit of a spruce up. But that's a very minor point.
Rooms with a view, a comfortable bed, a terrific shower, and hot water bottles for the bed. There is a woodburner in the bedroom. Gardens are beautiful, and plenty if places to eat, including a log fire in the main dining room.
There's a bit of a walk into Ooty.
A raj era bungalow style accommodation, located in the hills above St Stephen's Church, giving it nice views across to other hills. Once there however, you won't be able to walk around the town of Ooty. On arrival there is a welcome cup of tea and biscuits which they call "high tea". A very good breakfast is included. The kitchen also provides a tasty dinner, if a bit expensive, which is a good thing since you can't go anywhere else. There is also a free guided walk up the hill behind the house at 7:15am. The staff are efficient and pleasant. We asked for a heater for the room and it was delivered immediately.
There is a bar also which is cosy but we were less than impressed with the G&T - almost 500 INR a shot and a can of tonic charged separately to mix yourself and no limes! In a Raj inspired bar it should be the best!
Beautiful property, lovely rooms and balconies. Gardens and restaurant food lovely
Alcoholic drink prices quite high.
Superb heritage hotel above beautiful Ooty. Staff looked after us exceptionally well (special mention to Mr Sekar who provided us with a hot water bottle every evening). Setting is beautiful and we also really enjoyed the fabulous nature walk the hotel provides and the complimentary afternoon tea every afternoon- lovely touches that makes this place memorable. Highly recommend staying here!
Good food, prompt & service oriented employees
Lovely nostalgic feeling to the property. The staff were first class, particularly Shaker who went the extra mile to ensure we were as comfortable as possible. He even provided hot water bottles for us. The food was excellent as were the cocktails.
The only fly in the ointment was that I felt the music a little inappropriate; gangster rap and dance not being my favourite genres. Apart from that a perfect stay.
Amazing heritage hotel in a great location. The staff treated us like royalty. The food was great and the antique building well preserved. The garden and views are excellent
We loved it, but it is an old building so hasn’t got all the conveniences of a modern hotel, but it has great character and style. It gets cold at night, so wrap up warm and enjoy the log fires.
A good location in a green environment, lots of character, friendly staff, good breakfast.
No concerns.
Location was wonderful! Lovely food and really helpful staff. Sekar went out of his way to make our stay comfortable ensuring we had hot water bottles each night and fresh fruit.
In such a peaceful location it was a pity that there was music playing near the outdoor eating area which intruded in to the peacefulness of Nature
Very good .
We stayed in a room called Avon in Kings cliff. Such a disappointment we had. Below points to highlight. 1. It was mentioned Delux room but very difficult to accomodate 2 Adults + 1 kid. 2. Room was very small where it was very open towards the entrance. 3. Completely waste of money. We paid 12,500 per night for a 10 x 10 room size. 4. No Brush, toothpaste, room slippers, no bornfire even during this cold winter. 5. Very limited menus for morning breakfast. 6. Comparing other resorts no much space for Gym, sports and club activities. 7. Can add more but would highly recommend not to choose Kings Cliff and check for other resorts with this budget.
Breakfast was good. Staff lovely. Hot water bottles and chocolates at bedtime.
Bar was under construction...no beer or anything available
Buchung bzw. Bezahlung war etwas umständlich.
It’s old world charm
Room ( Standard Room type) was too small and it looked shabby
Good food as well
Homely, no stairs, spacious rooms, excellent food, very friendly and thoughtful staff. They provided bedtime chocolates, hot water bags and heater for the room. There was hot water immediately available in the taps and shower
Food was excellent, extremely tasty The place was understaffed but the staff was really hospitable, especially Mr Shekhar who has been working there since a long time
Food
The room initially allotted was very small and dingy. Not value for money. Then I asked for a change it was given. A fresh room was given with additional charges.
Drain of the wash room was not functioning properly
The look and feel of place is excellent. The front garden is excellent place to be in, perfect for photo session.
The site needs some maintenance to be done to increase the experience level. WC was not cleaned well, especially the area behing the cover joint - out of sight, out of mind. Food taste can be better. I stayed in Destiny Farms by the same company during the same trip, and the food taste was far better there.
Great view from dinning area
Hair dryer is missing there and if portable heater could be there then it’ll awesome. may be if i asked to reception they might be give but if it should be randomly then its awesome i think.
Location
Not well maintained as it’s vintage
Overall it was good
Nothing
Excellent spread for the breakfast, friendly staff, nice glass house dining area on the cliff, nice dining experience near the fireplace on cold evenings.

Overall a good property, good location
The rooms and amenities should be improved as it's a very old property.
