Hansa JB Hotel

The building a bit old need to hv small renovation, The Wi-Fi network slow. Overall still okay,

Beg bugs. Dim lights. No free coffee/tea in room. Not really working distance. No decent food nearby. Staffs dont really speak english. I paid for 4 nights but i left after 1 night. Noisy aircon. Very bad bathtub. no where near any markets or mall. i cannot even get a refund.

Hotel was old. Poorly maintained. Rooms were smelly. Air conditioning did not work. Had mold in bathroom ceiling. Staff were inconsiderate. We took 4 rooms. Our guide accidentally returned but due to situation we had to wait longer than expected. We had kids and elderly couple. We explained the situation to the reception and requested to use 2 room and assured to return the keys before 12pm. The lady at the reception was rude and refused our request. Asked to sit in a waiting room without Air conditioning. Our elderly parents had to take the stairs down a few times for the bathroom. I personally do not recommend this hotel even to my enemy.

Extremely bad smell in all rooms due to mould on walls. There is no ventilation in the bathrooms so condensation goes into bedroom. Viewed 3 different rooms but all the same. There is no manager to make a complaint. Hotel is very old and has not been refurbished since the day it was built which must be at least 50 years ago. Avoid at all costs.

This hotel would get a higher review if not for the last night. We were asked to change to another room in the middle of the night (I was already on the bed ready to sleep) because they switched off the power and aircond to most of the floor beside 2nd and 3rd floor to safe electricity (most people have checked out). This is absurd as I have a lot of stuff I need to carry and it was so last minute.Does not even say sorry or give any compensation. The room we were asked to go to was smaller as well. Not recommended.

The check in was a nightmare, I was checking in staff were very rude always kept saying there was no reservation even though we paid it on advance. I was waiting for a horrible 45 mins for them to sort it out their own problem and finally found the booking without any apologies. The room was horrendously smell and the dirty spots were everywhere especially in the bathroom. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL.

The price is very fair to condition of the property. The view of city is beautiful.

they did not maintain the Hotel properly. they need to have proper English speaking reception. rooms were not cleaned properly. Bathroom were sandy and no hot water. we booked 2 rooms that were the same but got 2 different type of rooms.

Nothing was to like about this property, misleading the customer by saying it's a 4**** hotel I would give it 1* at best the smell is terrible.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and well maintained rooms and good comfy beds and bedroom. But no amenities open, no breakfast or coffee shop

The room is spacious and clean. Unfortunately, all the dinning places in the hotel is closed. Transport is also a problem and the surrounding areas don't have market or shopping areas.

The efficiency of front office staff could be better, suspect they were new and under trained, took a long time to find my booking via online..otherwise satisfied with my stay there.

Do not believe the pictures, those are taken pre-covid times. Room is run down, old paint flaking off the walls, musty room with old dreary furnitures, you either get cold or hot water, not at the same time, some rooms doesn't have fridge, mattress has no spring in it, dirty carpet, wifi doesn't work. Any motel is better than this place.

This hotel is terribly old. Furnitures are full of dust and the room floor is made of a moquette which had stains of previous beverages never cleaned. There is no hairdryer, no slippers, no bathrobe, and even the amenities in the bathroom are mediocre. The water took ages to turn into hot and I have also found 2 cockroaches. Beneath the washbasin the wall is broken with no tiles. No windows which could be opened. Breakfast was ridiculous...only eggs homelet, sausages and rice. It is definitely less than a 3 stars hotel experience and it is not worth the price at all.

This place just cannot be a 4-star hotel. The whole building and rooms are old, the parking lot is always full and crammed with unused junk, the staff is not friendly, and they have the worst breakfast I have ever seen. My wife and I got really disappointed with Expedia’s rate for this place.

The receptionist are not friendly. Not smile, so I have some problem for my booking, they are not help or advise me. I must waiting so long time. Bad service. If not have necessary, I will not to stay this hotel.

Hotel was a bit out from town, but not that far actually. Tuk tuk was readily available. 7e was just opposite the hotel. Hotel staff can speak English, very attentive to our requests & queries. Room & toilet were clean, water pressure was just nice. Hotel did not keep our passports but required deposit of 1000baht. Breakfast (halal) was OK. Noise wise, yes, it can be a bit noisy at night, but if you're at the higher floor, then it's negligible. Will I return to this hotel? YES, definitely.

to much dustt..The room was not clean with lots of dust and no family comfort

Very old hotel ,not disabled friendly at all. Large, old but clean and comfortable rooms Awful breakfast room, old furniture .Needs revamped badly. Overall,i would stay again based on the price paid. I would not pay extra for bfast.

Book 5 nights stay in Hansa JB hotel, nearby Nectur disco pub,The Dome ( high class entertainment lounge ) and Tape live music bar come with various food choices, cheap and reasonable hotel, walking distance to seven eleven shop, some eating places, check before you book,as there are no swimming pool available at the time I was staying

Nice hotel

Good hotel, value for money

Shower water tap not working properly, once open the valve, both the shower head and water tap on bath tube water flow out at the same time and cause pressure to drop. The selection valve seems half stuck and not able to push or pull. Bathroom not installed with exhaust fan and smelly especially after poo. Aircon thermostate controller spoil, not able to adjust the temperature. Only given with 1 room key despite of requested for 2 keys as i need to go out to night club at ground floor till late night while my partner can rest sleep inside the room without need to open door for me at late night. The room key is required to turn ON the power supply inside the room, thus must slot into the controller at all times whenever someone is inside the room

very big and spacious hotel, convenient for families with kids. breakfast buffet is Halal. 10 mins tuk tuk ride to center of shopping place in Hatyai. a bit old but amenities are all clean. Equipt dining table that easy for "tapau" food to dine esp when travelling with kids and a baby.

Too far from shopping hot spot - D Garden, plaza garden, Kim young market, harkew food shop...

Location is good. Room is too old needs renovation. Most important needs safety deposit box in the room.

Took 3 hours to get housekkeping to servuce the room!! Called at 8am room was done at 11am. False advertisement of room service 24 hour menu items... called at 9pm to order ans the european kitchen was already closed nd they cannot make a grill cheese sandwich they basically forced to order Tbai food.

Decent hotel and comfortable bed to sleep. Quiet peaceful area although there are clubs nearby for party. Do try the fish porridge located across the road. Fresh fish and so delicious.

great........

When you first walk in, everyone is so attentive and so professional. This hotel is just beautiful. The beds are so comfortable and everything is spotless. We’re on the 10th floor with a lovely view of the city. Would definitely stay here again.

lovely hotel with a low price

The hotel is little bit old and soggy. Staffs are not very cordial in terms of communication. Sometimes hot water system never work. Location is not in very convenient if you look for shopping mall or late night restaurant.

Aircond was not okay. They should probably upgrade the quality of the hotel so that customers would repeat the stay. Also, they should renovate the room especially the toilet... Overall, everything was good *thumbs up*

Need coffe for superior room also...

hotel near not to far from mini van area and 24 hours groceries shop. Overall all ok

1km away from Lee Garden.Tuk tuk price around 60-100b from here to Lee Garden. For muslim traveller, not so much muslim food around.Otherwise, based on hotel price, value your money

Staff not so responsible .. not entertaining customers

Nice hotel

Need tobrefurbish the room

Nice and price fair

Having stayed at the centrally located JB Hansa Hotel [rated 4 stars] several times--- on different floors, I am having a problem understanding some of the Reviews. The rooms [not the recently renovated ones] are large, have a good sized fridge, have many electrical outlets. We has a king size bed, that was very comfortable. The {free} parking is excellent, the WIFI is fast, unlimited and free, the restaurant- especially the International Buffet is first rate,... and one can walk to the largest market, a very interesting Buddhist Temple and other interesting attractions. We have also found the staff to be very "professional" and helpful... and the price is very low. We will continue to stay at this hotel when we next return to Hat Yai!! I hope that this Review has been helpful.

Nice Hotel. In the middle of Hatyai town.

The housekeeping staff didn't know how to speak English.

old hotel but clean. need refurbishment. location not very convinient.

Old hotel but still keep their service level bed is very comfort,,, nice staff,,,enough parking lot but there are no any convenience stores surround not in the middle of Hatyai town but not far,,,require public transport to transfer to which not that easy to find as well,,,any way, on average it however value for money

hotel with pub,and chinese restaurant, thai restaurants, 24hours cafe

Nice hotel and facilities, pleasure staff, clean and quiet room

Pros: Good location, outlets and function rooms, city view, friendly staff, choices of minibars, reasonable price. Cons: Old room, uncomfortable mattress, no socket beside the bed, room key is too big and heavy to carry.

its good for family.. but i dont fine the swimming pool.. and its also have halal certification for kitchen.....

Pros : Room is huge and clean Cons : Old hotel, the room has a kind of unpleasant smell, the water pressure is low and there’s some problems with the lifts as we sometimes can’t press our floor level

Recommendation? In my opinion, it is ok to stay just for a night / last minute booking considering its price and locality. Hotel lobby and breakfast lounge is spacious.. But suitable for a family trip: especially with elderly people around or for a long business trip, not the right place to start with. Hotel corridor was dark throughout the day. You can imagine how a yellow light bulb to support a 10-15m long hallway... May give you some chills especially the only bulb is flickering at times.. : ). bathroom was not well maintain & equip, squeaking sound from tap. There is no separate standing shower (expected to use the only bath tub) no bar handle for elderly to support.. the tap is so old and clunky. Buffet breakfast.. pretty limited. Overall my first time experience with this hotel : 2.2/5

Overall a great experience with the places. Average price. This is my second visit. Breakfast have not much choice.

The hotel even though a little bit worn out is very clean with friendly staff. Languages other than Thai might be a problem. Restaurants are within walking distance. Ample parking spaces are available & free for tenants. Security is taken seriously, you need to be patient when trying to park. I feel safe actually. No tea or coffee is provided in the room but kettle is available. I don’t mind staying at this hotel again in near future!

Stayed 1 night each coming and going to Phuket. I had specifically asked for non-smoking room at check-in, but I got a smelly smoker room. Went down stairs and complained and they corrected the problem. Both nights that I had stayed had carpets that are old and somewhat dirty. However, the bed sheets felt clean and was comfortable. Aircon was noisy and smelled in the beginning. Not sure if I got used to the smell, but the room smelled cleaner after sometime.

Even the room is quite out-date but it is spacious and clean. Overall service is good. I am not recommended to use the massage that the therapist can go up to your room. The price is THB350 for 1.5hours as informed by front office. Once the therapist goes up to your room, she will try to offer you few choices of massage without telling you the price and it could cost you up to THB1,000. Also she has just do her job only 1:15hours. If the therapist is trying to cheating the tourist, I would recommended you to stop calling her to service your customer. It is not worth of challenging your image with this kind of service from outsource.

very nice hotel , the room is superb and have aromatic scent along the corridor. it was a great experience.

Room size OK, a little bit dark in the room, surrounding quiet.. Room rates reasonable.

too far to town

Little bit far to central , no shuttle service

Although other reviewers have complained about the rooms etc., our experience was quite the opposite. The rooms were a very good size, clean and well maintained. The lunch buffet was excellent and the choices very wide. The restaurant and Hotel staff are motivated, helpful and friendly!! We were able to walk to many interesting areas. The (free) parking was also excellent. The reception area was well decorated [for the upcoming Chinese New Year], is large and "airy"!! The bar also features excellent music--- especially Jazz!! We will definitely stay again and suggest that one will enjoy a stay... as we have!!

Wifi is very slow, no pool, room is very old, Breakfast is very simple.

If you prefered a quite location, because this is more a business hotel and conference location rather than a tourist spot...

Very good

Hmmm... the price is cheap but it is not very centre though, room itself just ok, quite big and the very bad thing is that it has only one socket in this big room, this is really really bad... everything need money in the room & no complimentary mineral water. No tea nor instant coffee too and only one cup, the fridge also very old. Anyway, overall is just ok but not too bad

Nice clean hotel. Big room and big bed. Ample parking space. Quiet place which is nice for families.

The staff here were fantastic, super friendly and helpful. The hotel has potential - the entrance to the hotel is striking, but the hotel is not up to standards. The hotel is tired and worn out and feels isolated. It really needs a revamp to its hotel rooms and some of the public areas. The room was to be quite frank shabby albeit clean. The bed was no better than sleeping on the floor, there was only one single electrical outlet in the room, the shower head in a tiny tub was about in the middle of my chest. The breakfast buffet was very slim pickings beyond eggs and toast. So, all in all, would not recommend which is a pity as the staff were very friendly

Recently I stayed in JB with my wife , as we both are hoteliers our expectation are but high. Hotel rooms are average but value to the money you are paying . Nice bar with live band to spend some time with loved one and drink . Food bit expensive to the quality of food but service was good . Breakfast is more towards Chinese and thai clientele but other nationalities can manage with other stuffs available. Reception and bell desk staff are very helpful. Nice place to stay .

Breakfast buffet services for my past 2 days here are lousy. Plates are not cleared and staked up to a pile after we left. Forks and spoons are not even laid out on the table for a hotel claimed to be 4 stars. I would rate it 1-2 star only. My mum's room smelled moldy. Plumbing for 2 rooms seriously need repairing. Worst still when we asked for a metered taxi to airport from hotel, the bell boy asked for a higher price than when we came from airport😂😂😂. Definitely not recommended.

Room is spacious and value for the price we paid bit for a hotel claim to be 4 stars, the room at least be reasonable well maintained . It was quite run down especially on the bath toom. Bed sheet may have not been changed as I was not able to sleep well like some insect is buying me.😖 Breakfast provided is okay, not many choices and the waitress need to be more alert as our plates is piling up but no one came to collect until we asked. Counter staff and conceise are friendly and helpful that added a point to it.

The hotel was generally well kept and the beds are pretty wide for single beds. I had a comfortable stay at the hotel. The available parking on-site was a great plus point as I drove to Thailand.

Hotel hasn't change since I stayed there 2years ago the place is run down badly the only descent thing is there breakfast, never again unless they renovate

Old big hotel but good location. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Good breakfast included room rate. Bathroom is too old, need to renovate. Air conditioner cannot set room temperature properly.

During check-in, I was next in line, but many others just came by before me. And the staff did not bother to address my needs. During check-out, I requested from the cashier to change one piece of 1000 baht to smaller notes for tut-tut rides to restaurant. She said she did not have and she did not even bother to ask her other colleagues. I responded by saying "I was not in Thailand, good bye". I

The hotel location is not so convenience for food & shopping. Hotel room got ants & we requested to change room

The hotel is located rather far from the city centre. One has to walk about 1.5 km from the hotel to the city centre where the shopping belt is. Even though complimentary buffet breakfast is provided, the buffet spread is rather limited. After 3 mornings of breakfast, I dread to have breakfast there for the 4th morning.

If you wouldn't mind. Facilities zero. Breakfast zero. Hotel conditions zero.

Hotel was good and staffs were very friendly. Good if they have or train their staffs to speak and understand english as not much understands. Otherwise it was a peaceful vacation and I dont mind staying there again in future and would definitely recommend to my contacts.

The room and entire floor that we stayed in stank of mold. Even after we left the hotel our clothes smelt of mold. We were given an adjoining room and the group was really loud until 2 am. When we asked to change rooms we were told the whole hotel was full but for being such a large hotel we saw very few people.

Hatyai is best best to travel. Hansa hotel is a pleasant place to stay in hatyai city.hotel stafts very polite & give a good service. The halals foods at hansa hotel are fully recommended.

I visited Songkha 2 days, Satun 2 days (Koh Lipe) and Hadyai 2 days.

Great Service and thats about it. Too far from town and its surrounded by Tutoring Centers. There is not even a Single 7/11 around.

It is a good location to either go to market or. Shopping mall

A good hotel with friendly service within hotel, WIFI was average, walking around that area is not so recommended as its abit dark with minimum street light. Overall, im happy with my stay at this hotel

Facilities: Ordinary, see below; Value: Average price; Service: Basic, no real tour desk; Cleanliness: Faultless;

The hotel lobby looks grand, the room is a bit tired, but its spacious. The staff in the breakfast restaurant was great! The are friendly and very helpful. I suppose the reception staff lack of training, no smile, not attentive at fall.

Overall a great experience but I do not think the hotel deserve 4 star rating, atmost 3 star. Hotel lobby and rest were upgraded but not in the room. Bathroom needs to be upgraded which show sign of aging. Location is good though not exactly near the market or the night market or Li Garden.

Nice place to stay with family.

It cost double the standard Had Yai going rate (USD 20-30) and I paid USD 45 for my 1 night stay. The masseus is awesome. The service is good and I enjoyed the experience at HANSA. Good location, good service.

Hat Yai was my first trip ....my experience with the places in Thailand where i have been travelling before this place the staff in the hotel are very friendly and always have Good SMILE! I think out of all things this is the most important ...and it always attract people to come back. My trip here is to attend my friend wedding and it was been decorated and prepared by the hotel and it was awesome everyone have been taken care off and the function goes on smoothly! Dr

It was a great stay for us in Hat Yai for 2 night over JB Hotel. Its price was reasonable. We are quite satisfied what we are paying for. Their receptionists and bellboys are very friendly and polite. We just love their services. However, the location of this hotel is not that strategic, but overall it is still a good option.

Big Room with old furniture and smelly room. Breakfast have not much choice and not tasty food.

Water kettle or hot water not readily available. Dirty and moulded bathroom and very dull room. Location far out from the shopping area. Can get much better hotel downtown with lower price. Not a good stay as staff not conversant in english. No free shuttle service provided despite poor location. Room in dire need of refurbishing.

feel very comfortable indeed and morning breakfast is fantastic same goes to buffer dinner....

1. no shower pressure (room) 2. carpet old and dirty 3. all request made earlier were not entertain and no explanation given. 4. lady duty manager were not helpful when check-in. 5. Front desk officer were not prepared with earlier paid reservation.

I regret booking this hotel. Right from the check in to check out it was the worst experience ever. Hotel staff doesn't know how to communicate and are rude. Room smelly upon arrival and even after cleaning still has the foul smell. Not enough toiletries provided inspite of the fact one of my room was Club Room. Breakfast doesn't have basic options like an omellete and the available dishes taste useless. In room dining even worst, I ordered Ceaser salad and can smell fish inside. For all fellow travelers PLEASE DON"T EVER BOOK THIS HOTEL
