Great staff, comfortable room
Shower leaked round the screen
Justin took such good care of us at breakfast every morning and was so kind and helpful. Martyn also was knowledgeable and helpful. A great location and great staff.
Friendly staff & central location & free parking
Property was generally a little tired
Location close to town
Not very clean.
Location great. Staff very friendly and helpful on the day I checked in, but no one at Reception on the following day, so no one to contact, other than the person cooking and serving breakfast. My room was okay and the pub downstairs was very pleasant. I certainly stay there again if I could be assured of a morning shower!
Unfortunately there was no hot water so I was unable to shower in the morning and there was no one to help resolve the problem.
Very close to the train station.
Cramped rooms. Steep narrow stairs to rooms.
Het ontbijt vers en verzorgd. Weinig keus
Het is een zwaar verouderde locaties. Zowel de kamers als de pub zijn volledig versleten. 3 sterren kwalificatie is onterecht 1 ster is max.
Super clean room within a 5 minute walk from the High Street. Very comfortable bed and a great cooked breakfast.
The shower was a small drip and you could only get it scolding hot or ice cold. This was the only downside to the experience.
Breakfast only satisfactory. No real coffee. Poor choice. Only cooked breakfast offered
Tired and in need of a revamp
Martin and the staff were really helpful. The breakfast was a good traditional service. Very comfy bed
The room we stayed probably needs a refresher, as there were signs of a bit of damp
Close to town centre
Good location - but appears to be the only lower price hotel in Marlow
Very tired, run-down room next to a pub in need of re-decoration and massively overpriced for what it is but expensive because it's Marlow
Location , free parking
Convenient location close to town centre with parking. Very good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lively pub serving local beer. Rooms refurbished recently to high standard.
Property is in a very good location including car parking
Nothing
Location was great, just off the bottom of the High Street . Friendly and helpful staff
Basic accommodation , looks a bit tired with old carpets and paintwork. People drinking outside the pub until past 2 am
Location and breakfast were good . The chef doing breakfast was really pleasant and welcoming.
The pub was a little rundown and needs a revamp. The room was ok but the shower was cold or boiling hot .
Centrally located. Firm bed. Man who served breakfast friendly and prompt. Free parking
Owner disinterested, place unloved. Shower dirty and mouldy. Ground floor room window open straight to pavement without net curtain/ frosting on window, so had to close dark curtains Thin ceiling.. could hear every movement from above. Bathroom floor grubby. Chipped paint++ everywhere in breakfast room/ bar.
Convinced to town centre
Die Dusche war verschimmelt und im Zimmer wellten sich die Tapeten von der Wand. Für diesen Preis kann man mehr erwarten.
Good value stay in a very good location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Parking is a big bonus. Room was clean, shower was good and the fan was welcome in the hot weather. Very quiet area so could sleep with window open. Tea, coffee and bottled water in the room were very welcome.
It’s an old building which is good but the common areas are quite neglected which is a pity. A small investment in some flowers (rotting raised bed with dead plants) a coat of paint ( lots of flaking paint on exterior) and some new carpet on the stairs would make a big difference. It’s lacking some maintenance which lets it down. I’m not talking about an expensive refurb, just a handyman doing a few hours a week.
Great location for Marlow centre. Friendly staff on check in. Room a good size but in need of some updating. Breakfast ok.
Excellent location. Good English breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean.
Parking needs to be reserved for guests as soon gets used up by pub clients. Shower was either very hot or very cold.
The staff were very polite and attentive and the accommodation was brilliant, clean tidy and very comfortable
Everything was excellent
Good location, close to the town centre and the friends I was visiting. Shower room was OK. I had a good breakfast in the town centre where there are several excellent cafés (see below for reason)
When I checked in I was told that because I was the only guest they would not be giving me breakfast. I was offered a free drink that evening, but given that was the England-Argentina Cup match I was not comfortable sitting in the bar with loads of loud fans. So I had no compensation (a tenner from the till would have gone a long way to rectifying the situation). The noise continued until after 1am, which meant I actually got about 3 or 4 hours sleep. The car park is clearly used by locals, there were 8 or 9 cars there in the morning. The single room (6) was adequate, with a tiny duvet which I didn't need in the heatwave. The bed was too soft for my liking. Steep narrow staircase up to the rooms, could be difficult if you're unfit. Obviously I cannot comment on the pub breakfasts, which receive good reviews. I was looking forward to that.
Very central, great friendly staff. Great atmosphere.
Stairs were a bit steep with suitcases.
Nicole booked us in, showed us to the room and was very polite and friendly. The breakfast was VERY good, and the service was really quick.

Very nice and welcoming place. Good size room and free parking
Great location and breakfast. They put a large fan in the room which was appreciated and the bed was comfortable
The shower was awful. It was either freezing or boiling with no in between. The bathroom didn't feel that clean. Booking.com said it was on the ground floor but it was not.
The staff were very welcoming and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome
None
Far better than I was expecting. Room was spotless, had everything I needed and a powerful shower. Location was perfect and the staff very friendly. Excellent breakfast. For the price I paid, I was extremely satisfied.
Nothing.
Location
No ironing board. No hair dryer. Carpet threadbear on stairs. Mould spots on shower roof.
Location.
Tiny room with tired, old bathroom in need of renovation. Inadequate acoustic insulation in the ceiling (we were on the ground floor) meant we were treated to hours of unwanted entertainment during the night by the couple on the first floor.
Breakfast was good!!felt rushed
Felt rushed! Left to wander round for 1hour + whilst waitng for room!! Having to leave by 10.30 am more hanging about till appoint time dressed to the nines in hot weather😁
Super friendly staff and half the price of any other hotel in Marlow. The excitement of the large crowd at the pub with England winning a game in the World Cup was great
Soft mattresses not as comfortable as I’d like. Went to check out in the morning, but everything was locked so I had to drop the keys in the mailbox slot.
Very good location from my point of view, very close to place I needed to see. Very friendly staff
Location
No hot water for the first night. Quite loud.
POW is pub accommodation. It was a super hot day and the proprietor kindly gave us extra cold waters and ice. The eggs were good..
The fan could be stronger!
Good value for money & close to the town centre.
Lovely room, all amenities you need Close to loads of places Parking Breakfast is great
As with many places just need more shelves in the bathroom to put bits
Location and parking
Room very small. Bed not comfortable. Bathroom need attention.
Super convenient pub style room to stay, very close to the train station and close to the main high street. Comfy bed, good bathroom, breakfast in the morning was just what was needed too.
Was UK summer heatwave so would have been good to have a fan.
What a gem. The Prince of Wales in Marlow was exactly the experience we wanted. The staff was awesome, the room plenty big enough and just as shown in the photos. One thing we really loved was that it was not right on the main drag and we were able to hang out with the locals in the pub. That alone was worth the cost of the room. The food was good and it was conveniently located. Would definitely return.
A lovely warm welcome from the barman. Very helpful and carried bags to the room.
The rooms should be stripped of their carpets and have wooden floors down. They desperately need cleaning. The staircase leading to rooms in both locations were very dirty and need replacing. The rooms are appointed quite well, but the bedding is not great. Very old dreary blankets at the bottom of the bed!
Separate entrance from the pub to the apartments, which were well appointed and spacious. All amenities that you would expect for a room above a pub, and all in good condition. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The accomodation was in a little house next to the pub, it was clean and comfortable and the staff brilliant especially Nicola, very good value
Perfectly located for a trip to Marlow. Basic accommodation but clean and safe with no noise. Also included safe parking which is a bonus when visiting marlow
Nothing really
Great location, quiet but a short walk from the centre. Breakfast was basic but well cooked to order. Parking was easy and
Great pub serving good food with a good selection of beers. Just a minutes walk to Marlow High Street and the Thames River. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would book again when I'm next in the area.
On arrival at 1pm the car park was full yet only 4 people in the bar. Don't know if it's customers from the previous night or chancers using it because it's so near to the river and shops. Not the pubs fault. The car park did feel safe and secure though.
Good car parking, good location, lovely helpful staff
A great little pub in the heart of Marlow. Comfy clean rooms with a great breakfast. There are more fancy hotels around but this is fantastic for the price and the car park is very handy.
Tired in places but nothing major.
The staff were very friendly and helpful

Perfect location amazing staff brilliant breakfast
Perfect for what we wanted
Staff super friendly and always checked how you was, made us feel very welcome.
Toilet very loud can not use during the night will wake up other guests
The staff were really warm and friendly, gave us helpful advice. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was very hot and we were given a massive fan to keep us cooler.
Comfortable good breakfast thought we were getting a ground floor room but were better off upstairs bec of the band and extreme hot weather
Nothing just the heat which was not hotels fault
So if you want to be in the heart of Marlow then this is as good as it gets. It is less than 100m walk from the river or the high street and surprisingly quiet.
This is a pub with bedrooms, it is not a hotel. The bedrooms were clean, but the rooms had no air conditioning so very hot. The showers were dreadful, in fact not usable as they dribbled water and the temperature oscillated every 3 seconds from incredibly hot to tepid. The cooked Breakfast was ok but it is an instant tea and coffee type place.
Breakfast was very tasty and plenty of it. Good quality.
Nothing really.
Convenient location on site parking.
Property in general has a slightly run down feel and look. Room was ok but could do with an overall refresh. A lick of paint in the rooms and communal areas badly needed.
Proximity to the centre + good car park.
Breakfast a touch basic. Steep, narrow stairs to room
Great choice of breakfast. Staff were very helpful & went out of their way to accommodate our specific needs. Location was superb with 5 min walk to river & 10 min walk to town centre .
Brilliant location, staff really welcoming
Friendly staff great location

Friendly and the breakfast was good
The shower did not work I. Room 4 as there is a water pressure problem in the room the shower was either to hot or to cold as the regulator was defective
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The decor was a bit tired and needed some refurbishment.
Very good value. The room was very clean and well fitted out the staff were very friendly. Well situated.
It could do with a touch of paint here and there
Location
Breakfast was poor quality and on second morning unable to enter restaurant/ bar as locked and nobody about so pre paid for breakfast that wasn't available refund?
Great Breakfast very enjoyable
Great location, very friendly team and the member of staff on Sunday morning was a star
Good breakfast and helpful staff who found us a safe place for our bicycles.
Good central location with parking onsite. Good value room rate.
Open mic night in the pub was unexpected but at least I had some earplugs. Steps into the bathroom also a challenge.
Comfortable, friendly staff, generous breakfast, good location close to centre, very good value for money
All good.
The bedroom was well appointed and comfortable but difficult to access up a narrow staircase. The staff did help with our cases.
The pub is tired and although the man cooking the breakfast was friendly we did not enjoy the breakfast. Very greasy cooked breakfast No fruit or yogurt just cereals.
Location
Parking limited
The breakfast was very basic. Drinks were served yourself. 3 cereals of choice Cooked breakfast was available: we had toast/bacon sandwich. Both satisfactory The bar/pub was friendly and welcoming The best thing about the pub/hotel was its location. Very close to Marlow Town Centre/High Street. Walkable in about 8 minutes
The stairs were extremely steep to the room. The carpet was threadbare in places. Whilst the room was quite spacious it was quite ‘tired’. The bathroom was very 90’s…and could do with a good deep clean. The electric shower did not work properly One minute cold: next boiling hot. Shower ceiling was mouldy.
Really nice cooked breakfast and cereal options.
The location was good. Unfortunately we got a call and had to leave so we didnt end up staying but we used the room to get ready for a party. We were looking forward to breakfast.
We couldn't get any hot water from the shower. The TV signal was poor.
All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
I wasn't expecting it to be a pub, and check in was at the bar. Breakfast was very limited, although cooked well.
Staff friendly and welcoming.
Lovely breakfast cooked to order
Difficult to park as hotel car park spaces largely taken up with non-patrons.
Staff were very wrecoming and friendly. Excellent location
Room Decor very tired. Some damp on the walls, It is an old property that needs some remedial work and updating
they tried
For the price ,not good
Fantastic staff so friendly. Room had all the amenities needed, also bonus water and biscuits. Comfy bed, pillows and fullft white towels.
The room and bathroom has a little damp and need of a bit of a decorating.
Amazing location lovely room the staff were fantastic
Clean and comfortable accommodation in an excellent location. Car park was a perk. Great breakfast.

Local to down and has parking
Adequate for a one night stay
Good. Filter coffee would have been preferable with breakfast
One of my pillows was too solid and a tiny shelf next to bed useful
Helpful friendly staff
Tidy, warm cimfortable room, great central location and fee parking
Nothing
Really friendly staff. Clean room. Comfy bed.
Water slow to drain from basin in bathroom. Shower variable in temperature. Not working properly.
Spacious bedroom and large toilet, shower room. All clean and immaculate. Situated in a quiet area of Marlow so good sleep, no outside noise. I stayed in Room No.3 and I was very happy with it. Usually you get a room and a tidgy bathroom well this was big. Comfy bed with tea making facilities. If I'm every in Marlow again I will stay here. Right near the railway station too. Absolute top notch Full English breakfast that kept me going the whole day.
Nothing to report.
Location. Friendly bar staff
