Broken toilet seat, uncomfortable bed - I felt I was on a slant due to the mattress

Nothing except for the breakfast and location.

Horrible cleanliness, the side entrance was as if it was a dumping site with broken ovens laying around. The floor was sticky, the stair carpet was black with dirt, the toilet paper was not replenished and no change of towels on the last day. The bath was broken and fixed with tape.

It had everything we needed for a one-night stay at a very good price. A freshly cooked breakfast was provided. Parking was no problem. The staff were very friendly.

The room was adequate for my needs. Comfortable bed. Good access to my room without needing to go through the bar. Breakfast was good.

Staff were friendly

Not as advertised which was dispappointing, no food served during the week, broken tables and clutter in beer garden, clutter in back room around the pool table. Very run down. The outside front lighting and flowers were non existent. Pictures shown are deceiving as that is not how the London Inn looks.

The only problem is having to park on the street where ever you can find a place and with a Foreign Registration Number it can worry you

Breakfast was satisfactory

Carpets in corridors were filthy. Main bar and other areas had "stuff" around - pub up for sale and no effort made anywhere to rectify any problems. My room had 2 windows - with blind missing on main road one and people could see into the room even though on first floor and led to full light at 6am in the room. Had to complain to eventually get a fan, lock was broken and took some time to un/lock the door. Television stations were substantially affected by pixels, even the radio ones. To be fair, the other rooms appear to be satisfactory.

The London Inn is a very friendly local pub with well kept beer. The WiFi is good and it's pretty quiet at night with a few shops nearby. I paid £60 odd a night including breakfast.

It's a fair walk from the centre of town and has no car park so you'll need to park on the streets nearby. The rooms and common areas of the hotel section are a bit shabby and could do with some tlc.

Needs updating, old worn grubby, carpets, dust in rooms, dirty half empty fish tank, old dusty TV laying around. No food apart from breakfast. Parking on street which can be confusing to figure out. Smallest bath in the world

The fact it was a pub was a hit with my partner plus we got free parking right outside which is a bonus.

Obviously its on a main road so having to have the windows open due to the very hot weather then you're going to hear traffic all hours of the night but that cannot be helped we knew the situation before we booked..(we did have a fan in the room which was great but we still had the window open for extra breeze.)

Welcoming staff

Free english breakfast are provided however they are very salty. The hotel feels quite dated, the room carpet is visibly old and dusty. However, given that it’s in a touristy location, the price is understandably quite reasonable.

Nothing checked in shown room after climbing stairs it absolutely stank, the carpets were filthy down a dirty dirty corridor shown room door handle was hanging off door did not lock absolutely shocked to we left after seeing the tiny clostrophobic room and checked the bathroom it’s was filthy bath grouting black and fungus on bath curtain WE LEFT honestly worse place we have seen DONT THINK HOU SHOULD BE ADVERTISING THIS PLACE … we were horrified

On a very busy main road though our room opened into a quieter side street... parking on this street alao .No evening meal although description and reviews indicated there was . Carpet from bar up to rooms filthy. Request for small breakfast met with "one Siize fits all " not that good.

The place looks in need of a refurbishment all a bit run down particularly the communal hall way acces to the rooms. Our bathroom smelt.

Due to the heatwave everyone had the windows open, so sleeping was not easy as you could hear other hoteliers clearly.

I found the morning reception wanting .The breakfast was served in a very offhand way and it wasn’t obvious where things were . All acceptable but not as good as it could have been with very little more effort .

Staff very welcoming and friendly. Lovely pub and local to town centre. Breakfast was brilliant, great variety on offer as well as Full English Breakfast.

The shower...it floods whilst stood in it which isnt pleasant and it also isnt very clean, but understandably, its because its old/tired and needs replacing- which is an cost to business.

The location is good, the property itself is nice. The staff all throughout were all lovely and very attentive and kind. Can’t fault them whatsoever. The breakfast was nice, good portions, good options, and again really friendly service. Atmosphere at the pub itself very relaxed and friendly.

This property was probably once very nice but is now tired and unloved and that affected the quality of our stay as most of it is a bit tired, dirty or unkempt. I didn’t like the black mould on the shower, or the skid marks in the toilet when we arrived, or the depressingly dirty fish tank or uncomfy mattress.

No secure free car parking on site as promoted on Booking.com reservations site via Booking.com app Advertising standard should be revised by both proprietor and Booking.com I was forced to refuse to stay and had to find alternative accommodation with Expedia service…. Poor service and will have to review my future plans to use Booking.com for accommodation finder in future!!! Disappointed Booking.com customer

Great staff. Excellent value for money. The fluffiest scrambled eggs- lovely breakfast and good Wifi for online meetings. Bed was very comfortable, I had a great sleep.

Very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was ok, freshly cooked & very tasty. Location was perfect for our needs. Our family lives just 5 minutes away.

Unfortunately there is no car park, so you gave to park on the road which can be a pain.

A fair walk into town although another pub with nice food about 10 mins walk away. Shower was very slow to get warm.

It was dirty, noisy and decrepit

We spent a few nights here, the staff was very pleasant, unfortunately we couldn't eat there and there were a few places where to eat around. It is quite nice if you have a car to move around, the village is very quite. The room was fine, not too big or small, the toilet a bit old but it was working. Really clean.

Lo staff è davvero gentile e disponibile, tutto il personale che abbiamo incontrato è stato molto accogliente. Purtroppo abbiamo soggiornato durante il giorno di chiusura della cucina quindi non abbiamo potuto cenare in struttura. La camera è essenziale ma molto ospitale, ci siamo trovati molto bene.

If you decide to book a room at the London Inn, despite having read this review, make sure to avoid room number 8, which looks nothing like the rooms in the pictures on Booking.com. The bathroom "door" is a DIY solution and does not close properly, the shelf above the washbasin was loose, there is neither a wardrobe, nor coat hangers in the room (save two pegs on the inside of the door). There was no hot water when I took a shower (however, there was when my wife did) and nowhere to hang the towels after the shower. The bed was OK, though, and the breakfast alright, but definitely not "fantastic". I'm sorry to say that if I were ever to visit Cheltenham again, I would not stay at the London Inn.

Accommodation area needs looked at, very tired, bathroom in room 2 poor with stains around bath and sink, broken toilet seat as well as decoration in room paint cracking below window. Hall stair needs either a good clean or replaced.

The staff was nice. Other than that, not much.

Terrible lighting in the room. No A/C (during a heat wave, to be fair) but we had to ask for a fan. One chair to sit on - ONE. Parking was awful (as in, street parking, and not necessarily close to the property). And noisy (street noise). No drawers for clothing if you want to unpack.

Slecht en kapot bed, wat na klagen zeer provisorisch werd verholpen, de baas was weg dus geen mogelijkheid van een ander bed. In tegenstelling tot eerdere berichten kon er vanwege de vakantie van de kok ‘s avonds niet gegeten worden, hierop hadden wij wel gerekend. Eén gehele dag, avond en ochtend was er geen warm water ivm een kapotte boiler.

Je to celkem daleko z centra. Ale autobusem je to kousek. Všechno tam funguje tak nějak napůl, když jste na zahrádce, cítíte přepálený olej z kuchyně přes ventilaci, a pokud máte smůlu, cítíte to i v pokoji. Ale jinak je ti vlastně fajn ubytování, pokud chcete soukromí, ale za aspoň trochu rozumné peníze. A cider mají na čepu dobrý. A snídaně, ktera je součástí zdarma, je taky fajn.

A warm welcome on arrival. Upgraded from a single room to a larger room. Great value for money with a great choice at breakfast from the breakfast bar. Comfy bed with good pillows.

No noise from the pub below but the traffic on London Rd was very noisy with the sash window open, even with the inside glass sliding windows. Can't be helped as pub on a very busy road. My second night was quieter with both windows closed. Fan provided which in the hot weather would provide a cool breeze. There is no off street parking if you have a car. I parked quite a distance away in a quiet street on both nights.

Staff friendly, comfy beds and good breakfast

Very pleasant stay. The staff are very professional: they're friendly and helpful but in no way impose. The breakfast options are excellent and represent great value. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is good: it's a short walk or bus ride from the centre, in an incorporated "village" with its own amenities and excellent access to the Cotswolds.

The room was awaiting a few minor repairs (e.g. bathroom shelf above sink was broken, so there wasn't a convenient place to rest toiletries). Nothing major. It was generally a great stay.
