Reviewed Aug 10, 2026The location is great for a trip to Saddleworth , the staff are amazing. Lovely people! The hotel room I was in apart from the bathroom which had been renovated , needed a facelift,as it was a tad dated. I’ve stayed there a few times as I used to live in the area and I would go back definitely but do think it needs a bit of money spending on the rooms. A fridge in the room may be an asset as well in the hot weather?
No dislikes just a few suggestions

A bit busy at times. and a few of the junior staff need a bit of customer service training. Could do with a chair ir two in the room. Wedding guests were a bit annoying.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026The check in was quick & easy, staff were extremely friendly. The food was really lovely too. The location was beautiful and plenty of seating in the gardens. Had a lovely 2 day stay.
Nothing to dislike really. There was a wedding taking place the weekend we stayed so not much room in the car park, but to bd expected, not really a negative.

We were on the second floor so quite a lot of stairs. A lift would have been nice but probably not a feasible option for the building.

Reviewed May 21, 2026A wonderful choice of food for breakfast. Prompt and friendly service. The hotel is located in a lovely part of Saddleworth, it was clean, comfy and a delightful experience. The evening menu is very nice and service is was excellent.
I thought the menu for lunch and evening meals were quite expensive. But overall, I DID ENJOY MY STAY HERE

Reviewed Mar 24, 2026I absolutely adored staying here. I originally booked a night, I stayed for 4. The rooms are just beautiful. I felt at home. So cozy! The staff really did look after me, they went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The food is delicious.....not need for just eat! Such a friendly place to stay. I'll be back!! Soon!!!

A few stains on the bed clothes, Bathroom had some black mould, and pretty shoody fittings. Quite Noisy with doors of other rooms. Breakfast (Beans on toast) was pretty poor, would have thought they’d use sourdough for the toast not some mighty white sliced which came soggy. Skipped the rest of the breakfasts for a local cafe. Also receptionist wasn’t there after 6pm.

Couldn't open the window or turn radiator off so it was a bit stuffy but to be honest I didnt ask for help as it was late so it was probably me. I would just suggest checking that but otherwise very nice and would recommend.
