Lovely location, excellent breakfast. We had one evening meal and this was also excellent. Room very spacious, clean and cosy

Chosen as a central position for visiting various sites. A proper old style accommodation, friendly staff, excellent food and comfortable.

First impressions aren't good, the frontage and the parking area outside the rooms are untidy Mattress was very uncomfortable, could feel the springs, needs replacing.

Beautiful location, central for visiting surrounding are. Owners and staff really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Food is excellent. Lovely traditional village inn, very good value for money.

I proprietari sono due persone molto disponibili e accoglienti, è la terza volta che soggiorniamo presso questa struttura, cucina buona per il pranzo e la cena nel weekend. Se si soggiorna con bambini è vicinissimo al Dino Park consigliatissimo per gli appassionati di dinosauri!!!

La struttura negli anni si è un po' logorata avrebbe bisogno di qualche lavoro di ristrutturazione...

Cluttered Breakfast good, simple served hot had to order night before. Grumpy landlady Drty paintwork in pub Cluttered with old bottles collecting dust. Bar food average Cost was more expensive than next two nights in lovely hotel with full facilities. Will not return.

Das Farmers Inn hat vermutlich seine beste Zeit schon hinter sich. Es liegt relativ abgelegen und es war sehr ruhig. Das Zimmer war groß und relativ modern eingerichtet. Der Frühstücksraum machten einen etwas verlebten und lieblosen Eindruck. Das Frühstück konnte man am Abend zuvor auswählen und war gut. Die Gaststätte war urig, aber auch hier nagt der Zahn der Zeit.

Der Frühstücksraum verdient eine Renovierung.

Beds hard and uncomfortable, wasn’t clean, bathroom had mould, fire alarm light lit the room up, noise from other rooms bathrooms, breakfast poor - bacon not cooked, other food greasy, no non-dairy milk (in 2026!!?), coffee and tea poor quality, breakfast conservatory needed a deep clean. Whole place needs updated and a deep clean.

Het was warm, vanwege de extreem hete dagen. Geen fan voorhanden.

The area and the bathroom as you enter by the wardrobe could do with a freshen up, some shelves and working hangers. No EV charger, not crucial, but just access to an outside plug would be useful if possible.

Lovely spot in the country, very clean spacious room. We had dinner in the pub and it was fantastic so was breakfast in the morning. Lovely hosts. Close to a really interesting castle.

We loved the fact our room was detached from the main building. The room was fantastic for the three of us. It was also great there was grub at the pub. Oh yes, brilliant breakfast.

Our overnight stay was fabulous from start to finish. The private parking around the back of the pub. The friendly welcome and seamless check in from the lovely young lady behind the bar. The motel type room was clean, cosy and comfortable with a lovely hot shower in a modern ensuite. We enjoyed a lovely filling 2 course evening meal served to us by the very attentive staff. We had a couple of drinks in the bar and a bit of friendly banter with the locals. After a good night's sleep, the full cooked breakfast we had chosen the day before was served quickly. It was so tasty, well cooked and the sausages and bacon in particular were very good quality. We would definitely stay again without hesitation.

A lovely quaint little place. We had a room located across a court yard which was the perfect size for me and my daughter. We also had dinner in the pub and breakfast in the conservatory it was all lovely.

Hallo, es erwartet euch hier eine Unterkunft, die ein wenig an einem Motel erinnert. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet. Der Innenhof hinter der Kneipe könnte vielleicht ein wenig überarbeitet werden. Ansonsten kann man die Unterkunft inklusive der urigen Kneipe empfehlen.

The Farmers Inn is about 8 miles south of Dumfries in a quiet rural location with the rooms set at the back of the car park chalet-style so the lovely pub, which is very welcoming, doesn't get loud in your room. The breakfast was lovely served in the conservatory. If you want rural in beautiful scenery but a bit of life too this is for you!

The rooms were warm and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The food in the bar was terrific. The hosts were chatty and friendly.

Alles war super! Die Zimmer sind wirklich groß und die Betten sehr gemütlich. Parken kann man direkt im Hinterhof vor den Zimmern.

Amazing little pub surrounded by great countryside. The room itself was spacious and clean with a decent shower. The food in the pub at dinner and in the conservatory for breakfast was great! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Nothing against the property or the owners at all! The issue we had was the taxi service as there isn’t really one which meant we had to drive to and from a local wedding we attended but it was still worth the stay.

The fastest and smoothest check in ever! Perfectly appointed room-everything you could want for an overnight stay. The bed was so comfortable and the room was exactly what we needed after a long drive-cup of tea, comfy chairs, lovely lighting and hot shower.

It's not located in Dumfries centre but I didn't care. It has everything you need right there.

The owners were very welcoming and friendly, great shower and accommodation very clean.

We had to use both double and single beds as the double was only 4’6”.

I did like the room, this was very spacious, comfortable with modern amenities. The food in the pub for dinner was lovely and was perfect for hiding away from storm Amy. This location is quite remote, but perfect for walkers or travellers with a car to get about.

I didnt feel very welcomed to the site, whether that was because we're a younger couple or not, I dont know, but it did make me feel a bit awkward, but that could of been because of how busy it was, as despite the weather the pub was full. Unfortunately I didnt get to stay for the second night of our stay as had a family emergency we needed to get home for, so this opinion might of been changed.

The owner was very helpful as we were arriving late. We arrived to have a delightful pub meal and headed off to bed. Breakfast is a bonus included in the cost. The rooms were comfortable, and parking was just outside our room. 7th

Breakfast was really good. The only thing i would change would be that like black pudding, mushroom and fried bread. However what was provided was really good produce. The rooms are chalet type. Roomy, clean and a wonderful shower.

Breakfast was very good.. nicely presented and good portions My only criticism is that it was served 8 to 8.30..not too early but not long enough to enjoy relaxed breakfast. .by 8.45 the host was wanting to clear away the tables. Another guest also made this comment to us when we had to cut our conversation short!! Our room was spacious as was the en-suite bathroom. .we were very comfortable. .however we had to ask for our hospitality tray to be replenished as it appeared our room had not been serviced each day , clean towels were also provided on request. The hosts explanation was that they had a new member for housekeeping in training.

The info stated that the Farmers served breakfast, lunch and dinner but lunch was only available at weekends. This meant that the bar area only opened at 5.30 and there was no lounge area available .We ate evening meals on two nights of our stay. good quality pub grub and good value for money.

I asked for gluten free toast and was told the bread was frozen. I was not actually having a cooked breakfast so ended up with fruit juice, a cheap Supermarket yogurt and coffee.

Location is a bit far out from Lockerbie which is where we wanted to be. I looks unkempt around the rooms situated in the car park. When we got back in the evening it had been raining and there was a great big puddle to try and negotiate to get to our room. The room and en-suite were ok - bed not that comfy. No food after 8 pm. Breakfast between 8.30 and 9.00. Limited breakfast menu which had to be ordered the night before. I asked for gluten free toast and was told the bread was frozen. I was not actually having a cooked breakfast so ended up with fruit juice, a cheap Supermarket yogurt and coffee. Funny bit was the chairs with signs on them telling you not to sit on them in the conservatory! Also a sign in the bathroom Please don't pinch the glasses.

Fabulous place to stay, there was a group of 6 of us staying for just the one night, very spacious and clean rooms, excellent private parking around the back of the pub, just in front of the rooms, quiet location and the pub restaurant served excellent food, both in the evening and for breakfast. Owners were very friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay here again

Nice peaceful country location, but quite remote, so don't expect much to do outside of the hotel. Plenty guest parking available to rear of pub. Our room was in the chalet type block to the rear of the pub, which was clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff all friendly and helpful. The hotel pub is "ye olde" style, full of charm and evening meal was excellent. Breakfast the next morning was also very good.
