It has a nice resort setting with nice view of the river. The rooms were very spatious, clean and comfortable. The centre of Hoi An is very very crowded, the hotel is located just outside the huge crowds.

Just had a wonderful four nights at Emerald Riverside. The location and hotel facilities are excellent, but the staff are exemplary. Everyone has a smile, everyone went out of their way to make sure that the guests are looked after well. Reception, housekeeping, restaurant, kitchen and grounds staff. A special thank you to Quang for his TLC at breakfast and poolside service. We would be very happy to return again.

Pool gets to warm

Staff in all areas were amazing from cleaning, gardening, porters, dining and reception.The breakfast in dining room, was very good, staff here in particular Mr Hung and Ms Yuen friendly, happy and helpful. The pool and gardens, were a relaxing place to sit after a hot and busy time outside.

Está muy bien ubicado, a solo 5 minutos andando del centro. Es un hotel muy tranquilo, la piscina tiene muy buena temperatura y está abierta hasta tarde. Las instalaciones en general están muy bien. El personal es muy amable y servicial. Mencionar a Maya, que nos dio una cálida bienvenida y nos ayudó a organizar una visita a varios lugares.

Amazing smaller style resort stunning pool by the river. Restful location however clise enough to walk to the Ancient Town for dinner or early morning coffee. The free bikes made getting around easy.

Absolutely beautiful place. Pictures don’t do it any justice. The place is amazing. Walking distance to night markets and lantern boats. Staff were so accomodating and so friendly. We will Miss them all.

Me and my mother had an amazing stay here this week! Very close to all the sights, and very relaxing. Will definitely return. All the staff were extremely accommodating, and the kitchen and restaurant team were absolutely brilliant! 🙂

Het ontbijt was heel goed. Veel keus. Eigenlijk was de keuze zoals overal. Het is een mooi resort. Aan de rand van de oude stad maar met uitzicht over de rivier, dus heel ruimtelijk. Mooi en ruim zwembad. Prima kamers. Het hotel is niet al te groot. Je kunt fietsen van het hotel gebruiken. Verder alles lopend te bereiken.

Ottimo hotel per turisti, vicino alla zona UNESCO che si può tranquillamente raggiungere con le biciclette gratuite ma anche a piedi. Le stanze non sono eccessivamente spaziose ma ben organizzate per coppia con zaini/bagagli.

Ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt – wie ein Zuhause Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel und haben uns von der ersten Minute an wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm, herzlich und familiär. Wir wurden von Maya und ihren Kollegen sehr herzlich und warm empfangen. Besonders Maya möchten wir hervorheben: Sie war während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts außergewöhnlich hilfsbereit, aufmerksam und immer für uns da. Sie hat uns bei allem unterstützt und dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns rundum wohl und willkommen gefühlt haben. Auch die wunderschöne Anlage mit dem Pool, den Palmen und der entspannten Atmosphäre hat unseren Aufenthalt perfekt gemacht. 🌴☀️ Vielen Dank an Maya und das gesamte Team für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft! The resort is smaller and quiet it is perfect.it is a 5 minute walk to Old town. The pool has a lot of day beds as well as sun-lounges overlooking the river. The breakfast choices were amazing. The staff were so friendly and the upstairs room with private large balcony was gorgeous and perfect for reading with a cocktail! The staff 10/10!

Beautiful resort overlooking the river, not too large so had a nice intimate feel about it. Relaxing my the pool on the day beds was bliss. Happy hour from 12-6pm!!

Each morning there were no towels at the pool which meant we had to find someone and ask for towels which was a bit annoying. Would highly recommend they get more large umbrellas for shade around the pool area, wasn’t quite enough for the number of beds.

Best hotel we have been to in Vietnam, has everything that you could ask for for a fair price (amazing room, huge pool, great room service, great breakfast, very flexible tours and activities). In addition, the staff is wonderful, very welcoming and accomodating, especially Maya thanks to whom our trip was so memorable. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

It was a brilliant stay at the Emerald Resort. Great pool access and kind staff. Easy to walk or bike into the Old Town. Will be returning in years to come.

We really enjoyed our stay at Emerald Riverside Resort. It is a quiet and peaceful location, while still being centrally located and convenient for exploring the area. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed the pool and the happy hour. The staff were attentive and welcoming throughout our stay, with a special mention to Quang, who was particularly helpful and friendly. Overall, we had a lovely experience and would happily recommend Emerald Riverside Resort to others looking for a relaxing and well-located stay.

Fantastic hotel that exceeded our expectations from the moment we walked in

Emerald Hoi An was a great stay - perfect location and excellent value for money. The rooms were a good size and well air-conditioned, and the pool was a great place to lounge in the sun. The staff were all wonderful; Maya was especially great organising an airport transfer for us, giving us ideas about where to go, and also recommending a tailor for us to get wedding suits made (which were excellent)!

The facilities are a little old but still great, although there was some construction noise and the rooms are not soundproof. The breakfast was tasty, but limited.

The riverside location and surroundings are so peaceful and relaxing. It really gives you that nice, one-with-nature kind of feeling. Another big plus is that it’s just a few steps away from the night market, so you can easily head out for food and shopping. Just make sure to keep some bug spray handy, especially at night. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly, and helpful, especially the guy from the night shift whose name I unfortunately forgot. He was really accommodating and made sure to help us with whatever concerns we had. We stayed in a poolside twin room with a balcony, and it was spacious enough for two people. It might feel a little tight for a bigger family, though. The sound-proofing was ok for me, I didn’t hear noise from outside or the other rooms. The buffet breakfast was a bit limited in terms of choices, but there was still enough to fill you up and keep you going for your day-to-night adventures. We didn’t get to use the pool since we were out most of the time, but it looked clean and well-maintained. Overall, it’s truly a little gem, especially considering the location and price. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Top location , top staff , we were there too short

It was my first time planning for a trip for my family and I was so glad i chose Emerald Hoi An Riverside for our hotel stay here. We booked two rooms for two nights and the quality of the service, the rooms, food, facility and the overall vibe of the place very much overweight the prices we paid. Best choice i would say. The restaurant staffs were amazing and very friendly and the reception staffs were a true gem in hospitality service. We definitely enjoyed and look forward to coming back again! Thanks a lot Emerald Hoi An team!!!

Staff were amazing and location perfect. Breakfast choices were great. Nice pool, temperature could have been a bit cooler. Generally a very nice place that I'd recommend to anyone and happily stay in again.

I'd struggle to have many negative points. Swimming pool could have been a bit cooler on very hot days. There was a poolside bar that wasn't manned. It would have been nice to have someone there. However that's a minor thing.

Had a great stay overall at Emerald Hoi An. ❤️ there were some issues with the air-conditioner but they immediately transferred us to another room. Also, the shower area is kind of slippery. But overall, we had a great time and Thahn was really accommodating and helpful, he also tried his best to communicate with us in English

We recently stayed at the Emerald Hoi An Riverside Resort for 4 nights as a group of two families (4 people each). In a single word: Perfect! The Highlights: The Resort & Grounds: The property is stunningly beautiful. The surrounding gardens are lush, green, and meticulously maintained. All the facilities, including the pool chairs and umbrellas, are kept in excellent condition and look brand new. The Pool: Huge, clean, and incredibly inviting with the absolute perfect water temperature. The Rooms: Massive! They feature the largest beds we have ever seen. While some might find the mattresses a bit too firm, they were perfectly fine for us. Our rooms featured beautiful sun balconies—some facing the pool and others facing the river. It was an absolutely gorgeous view to wake up to. The Service: Truly exceptional. The staff was incredibly kind, always smiling, and eager to help. Every request or issue we raised was handled swiftly and professionally. Breakfast: The morning buffet was perfectly reasonable. While it wasn't the best we've ever experienced, there were plenty of options and no one went hungry. Areas for Improvement (For Management's Attention): There were just two issues that occurred during checkout that management should address: Billing Confusion: Whenever we ordered food or drinks, each family signed the receipts with their specific room number to keep the charges separate. However, at checkout, we discovered that the hotel had inexplicably added all of our room numbers to every individual receipt we signed. We were handed mixed-up bills that didn't accurately reflect what each room ordered. We had to manually sort through all the signed receipts at the front desk and recalculate what each family actually owed. Laundry Bag Charge: The hotel charged us for using the simple cloth laundry bag that was placed on the bed. In our experience, these bags are disposable and complementary at hotels. It is baffling that they would charge for this—surely, after a guest fills it with sweaty, dirty clothes, the hotel isn't reusing that same bag for the next guest (or at least, I really hope not!). The Verdict: Even though those two incidents at checkout left a slightly sour taste, the overall stay was fantastic. We highly recommend this resort

Por poner un pero, diría que el desayuno era bastante poco variado si te quedas varios días, pero estaba muy bueno.

Excellent location, I could easily walk everywhere I wanted to go. I coordinated airport pickup and drop off, both of which were a good price, timely, and efficient. My room was cleaned every day, it always smelled like lemongrass when I returned. They also restocked my water daily which was crucial in the extreme heat. The staff recognized me by day one and knew me by name, all were very pleasant and provided great recommendations. Happy hour at the pool was BoGo drinks- dangerous but fun. The pool is shaded by plumeria and had the perfect breeze to blow away the heat. Beautiful views of the river.

The furniture and wood in the room seemed well loved, but that’s so minor. I don’t have anything to complain about.

Emerald Riverside Hotel is a charming place to stay with a wonderful atmosphere and very friendly, helpful staff. The location is peaceful, making it easy to relax after a busy day, and having a laundry service just outside the hotel is very convenient for longer stays. One thing to keep in mind is that the roads leading to the Old Town become extremely crowded in the evenings. If you don't enjoy large crowds or don't want to wait longer for a Grab during peak hours, you might prefer a hotel closer to your preferred activities. For us, however, the location was perfect. We enjoyed the quieter surroundings while still being close enough to walk to the Old Town, and the welcoming staff and relaxing atmosphere made our stay even better. A special thank you to Quang and Tru for their attentive service and for making sure we always had something to drink in the Vietnamese heat. Quang, in particular, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We would happily stay here again.

**Great resort!** The location was perfect, close to the hustle and bustle of the Old Town. All the staff, especially the reception team, were always friendly and smiling. The two elderly men from the gardening team did a great job taking care of the gardens. My room also had a problem with the AC, but some members of the engineering team quickly fixed it. The resort offered complimentary bicycles, and my wife and I usually borrowed bikes every day. The security team also helped us with everything about the bikes, including the locks. Highly recommend this resort to everyone!

Great location. You can walk to old town easily. The pool is super cute.

The noise level here was absolutely terrible. The walls were paper thin. I could hear others walking in the hallways, talking, slamming doors. There was construction next door and each morning I woke up to loud tools being operated. The value was there but the noise made me want to leave asap.

Loved our stay here - location is perfect, a quick 5 min walk to the main old town, but set back so it’s lovely and quiet. The rooms are a good size, well appointed and clean. The pool area has a good amount of sun and lounges. The massage at the spa well priced and quality outstanding. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

We did have some noise from nearby construction which impacted sleep in the morning, alongside the gardeners outside!

Our 2nd time staying at Emerald Hoi A Riverside Resort, we had a lovely time again, and hope to visit again if we come to Vietnam again. Rooms spacious, we had a ground floor room, so had a patio with couple of chairs and table, idea for an afternoon drink to cool down from the heat. Pool was lovely and kept very clean. Restaurant had a good choice of dishes, and breakfast good. Would recommend this hotel

The room was perfect except at the time we were there they were doing building works so it was a little noisy Perfect shower and the bed and pillows were fantastic The massages were great too The hotel is situated in a perfect quiet spot close enough to the shops but quiet

It was a beautiful peaceful property but right next to the action of Hoi An Old Town. Our room was lively overlooking the pool. The staff was so nice! And the breakfast was amazing. Changed every day and they made special things if you have dietary restrictions. Cheung was especially helpful and cordial. And make sure and visit the Monkey Bar across the street… the cutest cocktail bar ever.

Beautiful stay! Very convenient near the old town which was an easy walk. Lots of restaurants nearby. Make sure and go to Monkey Bar across the street. The breakfast was lovely! Especially the service by Quang. He was amazing. Remembered my favorite dish and made it special every day. All the staff were very nice. The room was great with a beautiful balcony over the pool! Highly recommend! (There was a lot of construction around so a little noisy during the day.)

Maya at reception was so helpful and just a lovely person, all other staff also very friendly. Room on the smaller side but mostly because the beds are sooo huge, a twin felt like 2 double beds. Smaller bathroom didnt bother me. Very cute a small hotel on the river, nice pool and the best location for me as it was quieter. Nearby there was a very cute family owned coffee shop who roast their own beans etc Xua zone coffee and macrame. Go visit for a coffee demo. And MT leather made me some wonderful boots. Will definitely return to this hotel.

Cleaning needed more attention

We have just returned from 9 nights at the Emerald Resort having managed to obtain the same pool view room that we had this time last year 2025. We have again enjoyed our stay equally as much as last year and would thoroughly recommend the Emerald for it's location with the lovely river view and easy walking to the center restaurant area. The resort is extremely well managed with excellent obliging happy staff who go out of their way to assist with any questions or requests made. A special mention to Qang, the ever smiling and most helpful person one could wish for. He is an asset to the Emerald resort and should have a bright future in hospitality.

One only problem was a evening restaurant meal. Chicken with mushrooms.otherwise no complaints
