Motel 6-Swift Current, SK

Clean, comfortable and quiet except for the people partying in the room next door

Had a hassle checking out because apparently we weren't checked in even though we were issued a room, key and charged my credit card. She had to check me in to check me out, I was concerned about double charging me but she couldn't (wouldn't?) give me a receipt or a confirmation of check out.

Location and cleanliness. Comfy bed and quiet room.

Not a dislike but not much seating for breakfast. Took it back to my room to eat.

Located away from the highway so generally quiet. Rooms are spartan but clean & comfortable. Great for an overnight stay while travelling.

Squeaky entry door hinges mean that you can hear your neighbours coming & going. Flooring in the rooms is getting old & edges are starting to lift. Very minimal breakfast buffet.

Exceptional value, very clean, modern European style decor, very quiet despite being close to a busy highway. Cheery, bright lobby and good breakfast in the morning. Friendly staff and a fast elevator.

Nothing

Easy access off highway.

Mattress can slide a bit

Room was very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Love that pets stay for free.

Nothing. All was good.

The staff were all incredibly friendly, and it means a lot to have friendly staff when you are tired from driving on the road and are far from home. We appreciated the kindness.

There was nothing we didn’t like

Not too great

Breakfast

The purpose of our stay was to cut in half a 13 hr journey. The hotel was conveniently located near the Trans Canada highway. We arrived late and left the next morning. We had a good sleep in a quiet comfortable room and left the next morning after enjoying a filling continental breakfast.

We drove 7 hours and checked in in the evening with a set of tired 2 year old twins so we did not explore the area and we drove on to Calgary the next morning. The breakfast was quite satisfactory The room was on the main floor clean quiet and comfortable.

Ceiling noise

Clean as a whistle! Very Dog friendly and a great price.

Nothing

Location, staff, clean, safety bars in the bathtub

No hot tub and no cream cheese with the bagels

Propreté Personnels accueillants

Did have breakfast, had doctor's appointment and not suppose to.eat!

Very clean, quiet. Staff very professional and friendly. Everything was great.

breakfast ok but not as good as some others

breakfast options

We had a very odd room, half was a kitchen and the other half was the bedroom and bathroom, and it was posted as a suite.

Location and affordable price and of course comfort. All good

The breakfast was great. That said there were some people who complained about the toaster.

There was someone near our room that was listening to the TV loudly until at least midnight. The same people had dogs barking for a long time at 7am.

Très bon rapport qulité prix pour une nuit sur la route

Le petit déjeuner est très minimaliste, nous avons préféré le Tim Horton à côté.

Okay continental breakfast.

I just wish there was coffee in the room. Also my air conditioner made a lot of noise, so had to turn it off. it was a good thing it was a cool night.

Everything was great

Room was large. My pet stayed free good breakfast. Enjoyed our stay

Nothing

That hotel was dog friendly.

The breakfast need more variety maybe frozen sausage patties.

Our room with kitchenette was spacious, comfortable very well appointed; had everything we needed.

Room smelled a bit like a baseball team had stayed there when we arrived. Also the breakfast is OK but not as great as Canalta and Comfort Inn breakfasts.

Huge improvement from the last time we stayed here. Front end staff were fast and efficient, rooms were clean with updated linens. The breakfast had more choices like toaster waffles and pancakes. Clear instructions on how to warm up the eggs! Fast and easy for a quick meal.

Lots of mosquitoes but that is like saying forest fire smoke is something that can be controlled! Wish the little fridges were a bit colder, but now I am searching for negatives. It was a great stay!

Friendly staff and NO Charge for our 2dogs! Good “continental” breakfast and air conditioned room was great

Nice, friendly staff. Room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We spilled some water on the floor, wiped it up with a paper towel and it showed no dirt, they obviously clean the rooms well! The breakfast was sufficient. Breads, waffles, pancakes, yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs, coffee and tea. We would not hesitate to stay at this location again.

Almost nothing, I prefer shower gel over bar soap but really such a little inconvenience 🙄 The a/c could be a little stronger but I run hot so it could just be me 🥵😂 We will stay here again with no qualms

We always stop at this location and have never been let down. We were kindly, patiently assisted with an error WE made on arrival Francine, not sure correct name, was so sweet to put us at ease for our mistake. Very respectful young woman. Thankyou

Spotless, great value and excellent cancellation polcy

It was quiet and very clean

It was a bit stark, but overall quite good. Kinda missed having coffee in the room though! The breakfast was also lacking but those are the little things that allow it to be less expensive

Clean and good service

Very clean. Very nice workers. Lots of towels.clean bedding.great a/c and fan system.quiet and dont hear nothing

Need 2 more shampoos

No hot items for breakfast, no cereals, precooked pancakes/waffles to heat in a toaster, bagels, toast. Not what we were expecting as a ‘breakfast’ for the room rate.

Clean, spacious, friendly staff

AC did not work for my parent’s room and in our room was very weak so did not get cold enough at night

It is very clean. Is quiet, cannot hear people above

The fridge frozen our leftovers. No coffee in room.

Everything

Nothing

Friendly staff, clean and quite.

NA

Clean and had everything plus more than we needed

It was great except maybe a shampoo/conditioner and lotion would be a nice touch. Coffee was great and readily available. Great friendly staff (front desk and cleaning). Would definitely stay there in the future:)

It was clean, friendly staff, and easy checkin. The town was cute and very safe. A nice place to stop for the night.

Some minor fixes, light bulb needed to be replaced and shower tap was missing cover.

Bed was comfortable. Basic room, clean.

Price seemed a little high for a basic room. Could have used an extra pillow.

Modern clean and staff is excellent!

Rooms were clean Rates good

Breakfast

Location. Cleanliness

Quite simple. A budget motel

I like that it's pet friendly and close to everything.

The room was very up to date. The bed was clean and comfortable. I liked the vinyl flooring.

Clean and bright. Pet friendly.

The mattress wasn’t comfortable and the comforter, sheets and towels were not soft, I found them rough. Morning breakfast was not appealing, went to Tim Hortons instead.

clean

Affordable

I liked the friendly quiet atmosphere

C’était en Saskatchewan et j’étais à Terre-Neuve Tout fonctionnait jusqu’à mon arrivée sur place et vous ne semblez pas vouloir me rembourser pour cette confusion imprévisible…

The mattresses and pillows were amazing!

The breakfast wasn’t what we expected but that’s okay.

Very clean, pleasant staff, easy to find. It had everything I needed and I was satisfied.

A bit noisy — my room was directly across from the elevator and hallway (flooring and room doors) are not soundproof.

Really clean, carpet in stairwell was spotless, towels were really soft, beds were great.

Breakfast was ok. Too much plastic wrap on everything. Each slice of bread and each hard boiled egg. On the plus side of that other guests weren’t touching the bread or eggs.

We loved the cleanliness. It was quiet. Enjoyed the breakfast. Great location, many restaurants walking distance.

The location of the hotel was great. There were restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel was clean and I felt safe leaving my car in the parking lot. It was well lit.

The walls are quite thin so I could hear a lot of noise coming from the hallway. My room also had an adjoining door and didn't offer much for much for sound proofing. I had a friend staying on the top floor and said that it was quiet.

I am gluten intolerant so had yogurt and an orange. The front desk person had to come up and help .e with my TV. She was friendly with a big smile.

A power outlet to charge my plug-in hybrid KIA

The motel was clean & beds very comfy. The breakfast was very lean - no juice or cereal.

Breakfast

it was great!

nothing

I like that. It was really clean. A bright and had everything I needed hot water and heat

Everything was great

i thought it was a wonderful overnighter or for a short stay. It exceeded my expectations in cleanliness and comfort. A wonderful stay if you are traveling cross country or heading to a destination. I gladly will use th Motel six again. We travel with a little dog and your rates are certainly affordable.

The breakfast was a little sparse, no milk / fruit juice or cereal. But that's not a deal breaker. The modern and clean rooms are what we pay for .

Just off the highway but quiet. Tons of restaurants & shopping. Safe & clean & well lit parking.

I expect cleanliness, it was clean. The bed was comfortable.

The flooring could be replaced, but overall it was good.

It’s probably the best Motel 6 I’ve stayed throughout US and Canada. Clean, quiet, staff were wonderful and helpful. Definitely would recommend.

Breakfast should have more options.

The breakfast was good. Toast and coffee.

I am elderly and had trouble getting the tv to work

Very quiet and peaceful. No hassle.

Toilet got clogged up once.

Allows pets

I appreciated the clean, comfortable room that I was able to move into even though I arrived early.

I was hoping for a mini fridge that had a freezer compartment to refreeze my freezer packs from my cooler.

Staff was nice and helpful. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Had a great stay

Helpful staff

Bathtub faucet needs to be reply. It was difficult to operate.

Coffee was alright

Checking in took to long due to technology not working properly.

Extremely clean. Friendly staff, diligently working to keep things tidy in the breakfast room.

There was no juice for breakfast. We expected the typical juice, toast and muffins. The yogurt was a great addition.

the air conditioning unit in my room was SUPER noisy, couldnt use it if i wanted to sleep but then the room was also super hot. If your room is near the elevator be prepared to be woken up every time someone uses it, it squeaks and rattles

Very clean, updated decor and friendly staff

Friendly and professional front desk staff. Clean establishment, Front desk phoned me to see if everything was ok and if I needed anything, This usually never happens at other places but it did here. Thank you for that. I will recommend to others.

Nothing to mention here, everything met my expectations.

I always love staying here when I'm in the area! We usually are here for dog sports weekends and the staff are always so amazing! I loved that I was able to have accessibility in a ground floor room for my pups and limited mobility. The price is always reasonable They have dog treats and water for pups in the lobby The beds were super comfy! The AC worked and the temperature in the room was controllable. Our room was located near the side exit which was awesome for taking our pups to do their business, there is sufficient grassy space around the hotel for just that! 😍🐾👏💕🥰

Nothing to note! We always have a great stay!

Light breakfast, toast bagels yogurt hard boiled eggs. Waffles and pancakes to toast. Room was clean and bed was comfy. No coffee pot in the room but staff accommodated and made me coffee. Easy parking. We would stay here again!

I liked the service we had

The temperature of the hot water was cool

Confortable et bien situé

As a dog owner it was off the main road and quiet with a big field behind for walks.

Cleanliness, services, location

Staff

The location was great. Breakfast was average. The room was very quiet and clean.

I didn't like that there was a 150.00 deposit required upon check-in. For this reason I won't be staying here again.
