Widus Inn

Widus Inn was right off the highway. Outside was unusual but inside was secure, comfortable, and met our needs well for a quick stay.

Location is close to the highway and various eateries.

Ice machine not working. We stayed in June and Sept., both occasions there was no ice.

Clean rooms, hot showers, easy to find. For a place to lay your head for a few hours worth it.

The shower! And the beds are comfy!

Nothing

The check in. I love the way I got the PIN for the door and go straight to the room.

No sign that indicate that some rooms are in the back. We had to go check all the doors one by one in the front though ours was in the back.

Very nice white clean bedding. Clean shower

The carpet on the floor is not practical. It would be nice to have a laminate floor which is easier to clean. But this issue is everywhere in motels and hotels.

The owner was incredibly nice. Our room on our trip back was amazing again. Clean, beds were comfortable, fridge/microwave were also clean and in good working condition. Coffee/tea/water station was stocked. We forgot to hand in our key card at checkout and realized it 2 hrs away and when we called the owner was so friendly and kind and told us to jerk it as a souvenir which made our son happy. Will definitely stay here again!

Wasn’t anything not to like. It was perfect.

The location, it was clean and comfortable

The water tasted awful. The building looks like a renovated industrial building. Kinda bizarre

Staff was friendly. Room was very clean. Mini fridge was clean and worked, microwave was clean and worked. They also had a community freezer. Coffee/tea/water station was also clean. The beds were also comfortable. Only thing I disliked was the airwick air freshener. So we unplugged it.

The room was spacious and clean. Great access to room from outside. Towels were thick and fluffy. Beds were comfortable.

Along the highway where there are other similar hotels and accompanying restaurants

Easy to park, motor inn style

Very large room. Clean. Accessed via pin pad lock with text instructions (room number, lock combination; check out time; contact info for help). Free water and coffee in the hallway. Quiet.

Очень приветливый персонал . Очень хорошего качества шампунь и бальзам .

Good location, clean good price. Thanks

Office empty at night

Great location. Next to a 24hour Fas Gas for late night snacks. Also Timmie’s is there too and good for breakfast. I was in the room for 6 hours, arrived after midnight, used a code to enter the room. I love the self check in feature. Room was clean and tidy. Smelled a little musty but that’s ok. Ac on on already and the room was cool. Pulled up and parked right in front of my door. Easy unload and load of gear. Left early in the morning after a good quick sleep. Coffe and breakfast sandwich and Timmie’s and on the road.

I liked everything about this property. Room smelled a little musty. But not a big deal.

It was clean. Good price

The carpet needs to be replaced. There was an oder in the room

Rooms are large, fit four kids and two adults with plenty of space. Clean and comfortable!

Spacious room.

It was great value for money , very close to restaurant’s and gas stations etc . We liked it enough that we’ve booked it for our return trip .

Super clean, quiet, friendly, nice amenities, great location for travellers. One of the few places that doesn’t charge extra for the kiddos. Will be sure to stay again the next time we’re passing through.

No complaints. This place is truly exceptional quality at an affordable price.

The linens were new, crisp, very comfortable.

With the price , it’s good

We wanted an inexpensive place to spend the night on our way from Winnipeg to Calgary. It's a great place to get some rest. It met all our needs.

I didn't find the bed very comfortable

Good location, easy to park with a trailer, very friendly staff, very good value for money. We highly appreciate our stop there on the way to Alberta.

A 2-star roadside motel is not a Ritz Carlton and on the first view from the outside it doesn't look any fancy, but: the Widus Inn is as good as it can get in this category and price bracket. Super lovely people who go the extra way for their guests. Quiet sideroad location. Spacious, clean rooms with almost all you can ask for and a super comfy bed. I asked for a quiet room ahead of my arrival and the quietest room of all Swift Current was pre-reserved for me upon arrival. Try that in a Travelodge...

Not much

Noisy heater, no coffee machine (advertised) old and getting run down, need higher toilets.

Close to the highway and eateries. Tim Hortons right next door. Fas Gas is also nearby. Relatively quiet. Parking right in front of the room which makes hauling our stuff in very convenient. Complimentary tea, coffee and distilled hot and cold water.

No ice.

It was very accommodating for our family of 5. Lots of room. The staff was great, very friendly.

No issues.

it was close to hwy and restaurants.

severely stained but at least no bugs

Room was very nice and large.. Very Comfortable. Clean. Conveniences nearby.

Will admit, I was hesitant from the outside, inside very nice - no worries at all.

Everything good

older motel with large rooms but comfortable beds and NOT the tiny pillows that most hotels are switching to. Very clean.

bathroom door and trim had some sctaches and paint peeling on it - would be an easy fix !

Very much enjoyed the stay. Nice cleaning room and great location. Great value. I will stay again, and would recommend it 👌

There was nothing I didn't like.

Property is older but very clean. Very friendly staff; good value stay.

The owner is very friendly and accommodating. I asked for a scent free, pet friendly room and it was perfect. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable.

There is nothing to dislike.

It was close to the highway, casino and restaurants

Lovely big room, exceptional value for the price

Not enough soap and shampoo. No conditioner

Self check in

Great clean room for the money

Price was very good,, awesome staff, loved the communication. Big rooms.

No coffee or tea material available, cups were missing, no creamer or milk

The price and the bed and shower and the mirror that lights up

Nothing

Travelling with a large dog can be challenging, so we appreciated having a clean, quiet space to spend the night after a long day of driving.

No true dislikes, but the heating unit was fairly loud when turned on.

It’s easy to access from Hwy1. Walking distance to lots of restaurants(McDonald’s, subway and etcetera) Clean room, decent pillows and duvet.

The linens were fresh smelling and extremely comfortable. The room was a little dated but clean.

The a/c unit was loud but worked well. We turned it off during the night.

Worn but clean, comfortable, and good value.

The price.

Noisy AC unit.

location ok; no breakfast offered.

dust and crumbs under air conditioner; sink drain not draining;

Inexpensive

Easy to find

Widus is near the highway which suited our purposes. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed.

The room had a off-putting smell as did the hallway where you have access to coffee, tea and water.

Outdated but very clean and comfortable. Manager was very nice. Location was convenient to the local Indian restaurant.

Has some good updates for an older building and a very comfortable memory foam topper bed. Quiet, and enough water pressure in the shower to wash a baby elephant. Which felt like a great way to start the day. Friendly and efficient check-in process.

No concerns; great value for the price

Quiet, clean, large room. Friendly welcome.

Easy to access and dog friendly. The beds were amazing! Most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept on.

It was good price and clean. Easy to book and very convenient!

if winter the snow melted and if the temp go down a lot of black ice at the entrace of the room. Not easy to bring out bags.

A great place to be in a storm

I always have trouble using Hotel TVs

Price point excellent, very comfortable beds, clean. Close to restaurants and fast foods and of course Tim Hortons!!! Shopping mall Close also...

This was a perfect place with a great price point. The room was very large and very clean and comfortable, bonus was a reclining loveseat in the room. We were in the city for hockey tournament and it made the perfect place to stay for the weekend. Coffee and tea and bottled water was supplied in the hallway, that was a great addition.

The beds were amazing 👏

Hair dryer would of been nice but really, everything that was important was there. Thanks

The room was spotless and nicely presented. Staff was respectful and extremely pleasant. Room size was spacious.

Everything exceeded my expectations.

Quiet- beds were very comfortable

There was no one in the office when we arrived - locked and only came when we phoned. Picked up our key and saw no one even in am. No coffee available, no glasses cups or drinking water.

Very clean rooms. The beds are really comfortable too.

no cups in bathroom ,no coffee or tea in the room

Very clean and comfortable. Owner not always on site when not busy, quick phone call to number on door and he was there right away. Very pleasant Gentleman. I will book again next time through.Great value.
