Quiet location

No food available, we were not shown anything other than our room and where the shared shower room was. The shower was useless, hardly any tea and coffee in the room, the room was a real mix of styles that didn't go together, you could feel the metal springs in the mattress and there was no one around when we left. It didn't look much like the photos. Will not use again.

Good location for the tunnel. Tony was great, he wrapped my breakfast in a sandwich which I got to enjoy on leshuttle. Clean, quiet, garaged my bike. Would definitely stay again.

Cost of stay location

Shared Bathroom booked two twin rooms, ended up with 1 twin and 1 double room. accommodation didnt confirm this was only available rooms even after request made via booking.com

Sehr ruhige Lage, große Wiese hinter dem Haus mit Blick auf eine Allee. Auf der Terasse haben wir abends gesessen und das ist auch der Blick aus dem Wintergarten, in dem das Frühstück serviert wurde.

Es war alles ein wenig schmuddelig, im Zimmer lag z.B. auf den Steckdosen zentimeterdicker Staub, der Platz um den Wasserkocher war fleckig und sah unhygienisch aus. Auf der Terrasse lagen alte provisorische Aschenbecher anscheinend schon länger, einige Kippen waren in Mauerritzen gedrückt. Überall ragte Unkraut hervor und nur der schöne Sonnenuntergang entschädigte für den wenig einladenden Eindruck. Im Bad gab es übrigens keinen Spiegel.

The breakfast was lovely and frshly cooked. A very quiet and peaceful stay with a comfy bed and decent sized rooms. very polite and welcoming staff.

all ok. It's quite a walk from Ashford, but it's walkable.

Simple accommodation right near the port, but far enough away you don't feel worried for motorbike theft etc.

Not the hotels fault, but my satnav really didn't like trying to find this place.

It seems to be a nice location but we arrived late and left very early.

Mooie/rustige locatie en voldoende parking Supermarkt in de buurt

De kamer was ontzettend warm (+28°C) en geen mogelijkheden om deze af te koelen. Geen airco of ventilator aanwezig. De douche in de gedeelde badkamer werkte amper. Ofwel extreem koud ofwel extreem warm water. Daarnaast was de douchekop zo verkalkt dat er quasi geen water uit kwam. De kraan aan de lavabo was enorm vuil. Niet heel erg leuk om je tanden te poetsen als je brokken kalk in je mond krijgt bij het spoelen. Slechts 1 handdoek voor een verblijf van 3 nachten.

Het was uit praktische overwegingen dat we een verblijf zochten dicht bij Dover voor 1 nachtje. De reviews waren wat wisselend, maar het viel super goed mee. Het is een mooi, charmant huis dat wel wat verouderd is. Maar het was er netjes, groot en helemaal in orde. De omgeving was prachtig! Van aan de ontbijttafel hadden we een wondermooi uitzicht over de velden, waar de kindjes ook graag doorheen renden. We maakten een prachtige wandeling achterdoor door velden en bossen tot bij een leuke pub met lekker eten in Ashford.

It’s a bit dated. Some little details need attention like the really stiff lock on the door - some WD40 would do it!

Lovely, spacious family rooms, we enjoyed the older decor that suited the building. Peacful location.

No blackout blinds or curtains so was pretty light in the summer in the early hours. It was clean but cold have been cleaner, still dusty in places.

Bed was very comfortable. Shared bathroom was clean.

Room was full of cobwebs. Curtains didn't shut properly and were old and felt like they were going to fall off the wall. Lamp was broken - feels like room hasn't been checked other than bed made.

Could have done with a small fridge in the room

Good location. The host kindly allowed me to use the garage to safely store my motorcycle overnight.

The Room was clean and tidy. Sharing the loo and shower with five or six other rooms was an interesting surprise. Basic and it works if you are on the road going from A to B. But don't bring the GF or wife they might not be amused.

Need to up grade the showers and loo situation.

Nice countryside location, room was OK, separate shared bathroom worked OK. 20 mins drive to the Channel Tunnel. I appreciated the the/coffee making facility.

Its remote location is both an advantage but also a disadvantage if you need an evening meal (I didn't) as there didn't seem to be anything at all close. Next door to what looked like a rather packed dormitory for seasonal workers.

Overall it was ok. The bathroom wasn’t clean. The toilet had brown water in it and bath had hair. I didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment.

Ruhige Lage im Feld. Gastgeber kam nach Anfrage. Das eigene Bad des 3/4 Bett Zimmers war groß. Nicht alle Zimmer haben ein eigenes Bad. Gutes Frühstück gegen extra Rechnung. Nette Gastgeberin.

Essenslokale/Pubs nur im 5 km entfernten Dorf Wye, die aber teilweise abends keine warme Küche mehr hatten.

Ths host. Very rude, not accommodating in the slightest. I turned up 30 minutes early and was basically told to go away. There were no towels in the bathroom, breakfast should have been included but he argued that it wasn't and if he spent so much time cleaning the room, why was there a half-eaten pork pie under the chair!!?? Oh yeah, and the yappie-dog....!

We did not have the breakfast due to an early departure. The view from the corner room was lovely. It was very convenient for accessing the channel tunnel and good value for what we needed.

Communication on the day when we were delayed and could not speak to anyone on the phone.

Shared bathroom although we were warned in advance. Very poor bedroom lighting. Only one side of bed had a lamp, and when that is off it is impossible to read with the ceiling light. Scarce sockets for chargers. A sense that this is a no frills Boarding house with many let rooms at low prices and the owners are working very hard to do everything. All the above probably explained by the reasonable cost per night.

It is a beautifully well kept country house so it is a little remote but beautiful location. This is my second visit and I find it a delight to stay at. House is lovely , facilities are perfectly fine and functional. I will go back next time I am in the Ashford area.

The property is easy to find on a quiet road 'out in the sticks'....which is what I prefer when staying away from home. The host was lovely and my room was ready when I arrived. Its a safe enough place to stay over without worry of vehicle security (always a concern in town centres etc). The property is nice and clean.

Honestly..... being super picky.....shower head needs some attention as its floppy and spurts water rather than a steady flow. But for a budget room.... Id rather stay here than a Travelodge budget accommodation.

It was in a lovely area and the views across the countryside are breathtaking. The room was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. Brilliant breakfast which was served in the kitchen - a nice homely touch.

I have no complaints

Staff were lovely. We arrived on bikes and she was happy to allow us to store them inside (but we stored them outside as they were muddy!). Very cozy house and delish breakfast.

This was a horrible experience, on arrival the host did not greet us. After waiting at the door for 5 minutes, the host then shouted he was coming. Upon entering, the host asked us if we was scared to stay in the apartment!! I then explained I was being made to feel uncomfortable, the host then told me to go and find somewhere else to stay and that he does not need my business as he has a lot of custom! The host then said he was going to force me to pay. When I said I was leaving, the host told me to fuck off! I then spent another hour driving around trying to find somewhere else to stay. Horrible experience.

Good breakfast, but no marmalade! (essential for an English breakfast), which cost £10 extra. Wonderful breakfast room with view overlooking the countryside.

I didn't meet Maya, but presumably her husband, who had a little of the Basil Fawlty about him, but we got there in the end! No provision of evening meal, and some distance from civilisation to obtain an evening meal - I had to walk about 3 miles.
