First room we were put in smelled like an old cigarette ashtray. We were moved to a larger room down the hall but carpets were in very bad shape. All else was great.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026It’s always a bonus to have a basic breakfast provided when one is in and out for the day. A good start counts for a lot. And it is very appreciated.
I didn’t like that I was woken up in the wee hours by a noisy air conditioning unit. I didn’t know where the noise was coming from at first, thinking it was road construction outside the window. When it was no longer tolerable, I realized it was coming from inside the suite. It had worked fine for the first seven hours and then it just got noisy. We did enjoy our outdoor, patio meal at the Roustabout with a discount for motel guests. It was a lovely evening to sit out. The menu was varied and the service was excellent.

Reviewed Jan 20, 2026I booked online with my debit Visa card and when I got there they wouldn't accept it. I offered to pay with it as a debit card or with cash. They wouldn't accept it. I then had to cancel my booking and go across the street where I could pay with my debit card and it was even cheaper then this place.

This place is really outdated and probably hasn't seen a renovation or upgrade since it opened. Walking the stairs in the morning has the punch in your face of stale air. The resturant attached to the hotel is 2 out of 5 stars at best. (Pizza tasted like it was from frozen box) Gravy was fantastic though. Close to ball diamonds so it was fine overall.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2025I liked the front desk staff. They were kind and responsive whenever you asked a question. The level of cleanliness could be improved, but in saying so, I I also wish to point out this seems to be an older, family friendly hotel. There were tons of children attending a martial arts tournament at the hotel while we were there. So to be fair, the cleanliness comment relates to the messes children make in shared areas, the rooms were fine.

Reviewed May 6, 2025When we booked we asked to stay in the handicapped room. We were told that was done. When we arrived we were told that the room was not available. The entry was not set up very well for someone needing to use a walker. The sloped walkway was uneven and the door opened so that you had to walk past the door. When we got into our room 3 light bulbs did not work. The clerk Brittany went above and beyond in assisting us . She replaced 2 of the 3 bulbs (as that was all she had). She was very helpful in figuring out which of the 2 remotes to make the TV work. Overall she was a bright spot in an otherwise unpleasant stay.

While the room was clean, it felt quite basic compared to other options in the area at similar price points. The "lake view" was disappointing - we could only see a small sliver of water between buildings, definitely not the panoramic view we expected. Amenities were just average.

Reviewed Apr 13, 2025It was interesting. Check in is at 3pm. I checked in after 3 and went to my room where housekeeping was still cleaning the room. Asked my to come back in 15 minutes. Went back about 45 minutes later and girl at reception apologized for the fact she checked me in when she shouldnt have, then gave me a 9 volt battery and asked me to change the battery in the smoke detector as they didnt want to call maintenance in. Other than that, i had a great sleep in a very comfortable bed.
