Les pièces communes pourraient être à la hauteur des chambres. Autrement dit, elles ne sont pas invitantes. Il pourrait également y avoir sur place une offre alimentaire. Le déjeuner était ordinaire et rien d'autres à offrir sur place. Ceci dit, le personnel et les chambres nous font oublier le reste de l'hôtel. Ceci dit, nous étions 6 et avions 3 chambres et avons grandement apprécié notre nuitée. Une nuit à cet endroit était suffisant.

Nous avons apprécié ce chateau par sa beauté, le calme ainsi que le confort de la chambre. Les petits dejeuners copieux.

The chateau is rural so very quiet. BReakfast was excellent with items sourced locally. The staff was very helpful with advice in restaurants and how best to enjoy the area. I stayed in both the main chateau and their newer additions which are carved out of the rock. Very unique. Able to go go walk through the bush or swim in heated pool. ALl was great!

Only issue was a road closure near by that Google Maps had difficulty with. NOt something within the chateaus control. THey did email prior to arrival with alternate directions to enter .

La salle de bains vétuste, literie pas confortable (oreillers), vieilles tentures décrochées, restaurant fermé et pas de possibilité de boire un verre en terrasse (apéro par exemple), salle du petit déjeuner lugubre et servi un peu tard (8:30), pas de peignoir pour se rendre à la piscine, pas de bouteille d’eau dans les chambres (si dans le frigo et payante). Le prix est fort élevé en rapport à la qualité des équipements et prestations

Un 3 stelle mascherato da 4. Esperienza semplicemente imbarazzante. Una delle peggiori esperienze alberghiere avute finora, soprattutto considerando la categoria dichiarata e la cifra richiesta. La pulizia della camera è stata inaccettabile: polvere, ragni e ragnatele ben visibili negli angoli e dietro i mobili. La cosa più assurda è che, dopo esserci accorti che la camera non era stata nemmeno rifatta, abbiamo dovuto chiedere espressamente che venisse sistemata. Il risultato? Quello che si vede nelle fotografie allegate: ragnatele e sporco ancora presenti. Inaccettabile in qualsiasi hotel, ancora di più in una struttura che si presenta come 4 stelle. La colazione è scadente, povera e assolutamente non all’altezza della categoria e del prezzo pagato. Anche il servizio è completamente incompatibile con un hotel di questo livello: reception praticamente assente già dal pomeriggio, nessuna vera assistenza e una sensazione generale di totale disorganizzazione. Ci è stato addirittura riferito che parte del personale era stato assunto proprio il giorno del nostro arrivo, cosa che purtroppo spiegava bene l’impressione di improvvisazione che abbiamo avuto durante tutto il soggiorno. La zona piscina è un capitolo a parte: per raggiungerla bisogna percorrere circa 300 metri attraverso un’area boschiva trascurata, con la sensazione di attraversare una proprietà quasi abbandonata. Una volta arrivati, la piscina è altrettanto deludente: nessun membro dello staff, nessun asciugamano e nessun servizio. Gli spazi comuni sono trascurati e la reception, più che quella di un hotel a 4 stelle, ricorda uno studiolo privato rimasto fermo nel tempo. L’intera struttura avrebbe bisogno di manutenzione, organizzazione e soprattutto di standard di pulizia completamente diversi. La puzza di muffa all’ingresso ce l’ho ancora nel naso. Per la nostra esperienza, non esiste alcuna corrispondenza tra le quattro stelle dichiarate e il servizio effettivamente offerto.

I punti di forza della struttura sono: camere ampie e ben arredate, piscina comoda, vegetazione ben tenuta e staff di livello altissimo che si è reso disponibile ad aiutarci e consigliarci durante tutto il soggiorno. Posto consigliato per stare fuori da ambienti caotici e in un'architettura tipica della Loira.

De tocht omhoog naar de kamer is heel steil. Dus niet geschikt voor mensen die slecht te been zijn.

Die Bilder auf Booking entsprechen nicht der Realität. Das Schloss ist heruntergekommen und schmuddelig, das Zimmer war teilweise nicht sauber und liess sich nicht richtig schliessen (Türfalle war kaputt). E-Ladestation funktioniert ebenso nicht. Wir fühlten uns nicht wohl und haben uns eine andere Unterkunft gesucht. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis absolut ungenügend.

Un lieu plein de charme et de romantisme. Le propriétaire a su nous entourer de sa bienveillance, de sa gentillesse et d’une grande convivialité, au point de nous faire sentir presque comme chez nous. Tout est fait pour que l’on se sente accueilli et à l’aise dès les premiers instants. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié ses conseils avisés sur les alentours et les restaurants à découvrir. L’emplacement est idéal pour rayonner dans la région et visiter les prestigieux châteaux situés à proximité. La vie de château pendant trois jours, avec le sentiment d’être chez soi !

Si nous devions pousser l’exigence jusqu’à chercher le petit détail qui rendrait l’endroit absolument parfait, ce serait peut-être la présence d’un petit bar ou d’un espace boissons près de la piscine.

Het zwembad en ruime kamer.

Ontbijt is zeer matig en overal in het kasteel was het vuil. Stof, spinnen webben. Airco werkte onvoldoende omdat de airco in het gedeelte stond waar de slaapkamer niet is.

Beautiful property, lush, quiet and private.

Externally a very pretty chateaux, but internally lacking in service, amenities and quality for the price of the place. Make it cheaper and you’d be fair.

So much potential, but so much was old, tired and needed freshening up. Rooms lacked modern amenities- nothing there for price paid. It wouldn’t cost much to have better bathroom personal amenities, coffee n tea facilities modernised. Lights didn’t work. No AC in bedroom, no phone in room. What was there wasn’t replaced over 3 nights. No staff attendance from 9pm onwards, front door unlocked. No one in attendance 2-4pm. Pool fab but other than basic pool beds, absolutely no facilities, service or other. There is an honour bar (great idea) but put a proper fridge and stock it well for your guests. It was a tiny room fridge and contained 2 beers at a time and one white wine . Not good. We were in pool and couple arrived from Sydney, Australia- 35 hour journey, and unable to be greeted by any staff attendance 2:30pm. Disgraceful! I could flag many other small issues like dog hairs on chairs in room, no working TV and more but this will undermine issues above. Saying that, breakfast and staff was lovely. Couldn’t do enough for you. The doorman has lots of personality but less in the physical help area. Especially for those poor guests at the back in the cave with steep wooden steps n no elevator.

If you wanted a classic Chateau, this ticked the box. Quiet, unique and quirky. Friendly and accomodating. Large spacious grounds for a walk and a nice big pool.

Being a Chateau, there wasn't many staff around thus it was very much self help with a Honour Bar, so don't expect a fully laden bar for drinks all night. If you did need something, it was hit and miss.

Personnel agréable mais pas assez présent (manque de personnel) pour la cible du standing visé par l’hôtel . Œufs à la coque compris dans le petit déjeuner mais facturé si vous prenez une omelette ou œufs au plat ! Belle piscine mais accessibilité peu engageante.

Alarme incendie qui s’est déclenchée deux fois à cause des araignées. Évacuation du bâtiment dans l’après midi et dans la nuit. Cause du stress. Pas de transat disponible à la piscine et l’endroit n’est pas entretenu. Des parties de la chambre étaient sales. Pas bien agencé. Vieillot (hormis la salle de bain). Le lieu n’était pas aux attentes vu le prix et le standing. Menu imposé au petit déjeuner, pas de possibilité de choisir. Intérieur du château très vieux. Pas de conciergerie …

Nous avions une chambre dans les chambres troglodytes. L’accès à ces chambres n’est pas sécurisé. Il n’est pas possible de faire rouler une valise. Mon épouse a glissé sur le chemin d’accès aux chambres et s’est blessée. Le propriétaire refuse de rentrer en matière pour un remboursement La terrasse ressemble à un chantier

Lovely spacious room, ideal for families and we travelled with a pet so ideal on the ground floor. Great size pool, beautiful grounds and lots of space to enjoy.

There could be a better service for guests, for example drinks available and nibbles (as no restaurant) to buy, upping the service a little more which people would expect for the price of the rooms and location, which would add to the experience. Service at Breakfast was a little abrupt and could have been more friendly.

Extremely disappointing experience – misleading presentation and very poor customer service This was, without question, one of the biggest disappointments of our entire trip. We booked a family room for four based on the photos and description provided by the hotel. Upon arrival, we discovered that the room included an extremely steep and narrow internal staircase leading to the parents’ sleeping area. This critical feature is not clearly shown in the promotional photos, nor is its impact adequately explained. Had we known what the room was actually like, we would never have booked it. The room was also unbearably hot. The staff acknowledged that the air conditioning was insufficient to cool the room, yet no effective solution was offered. The situation became so unacceptable that we decided not to spend even a single night at the hotel. We left immediately and had to find alternative accommodation at our own expense because we did not feel the room provided the level of comfort and suitability we had been led to expect. What was even more disappointing was the owner’s response. Despite the fact that we did not stay at the property at all, and despite the hotel’s own acknowledgment that the air conditioning was inadequate, the owner refused to refund our payment. We found this to be neither fair nor honest. To make matters worse, when we tried to speak with him at the hotel, he simply made himself unavailable and avoided meeting with us, leaving the staff to deal with the situation. Our disappointment is not only with the room itself but with the complete lack of transparency and accountability. The photos create an impression that does not allow guests to understand important characteristics of the accommodation, and when a serious problem arose, there was no genuine attempt to resolve it fairly. For a property that presents itself as a luxury château, we expected honesty, professionalism, and respect for its guests.

Die wunderschöne, weitläufige Anlage ist ruhig in die Natur eingebettet und bietet trotz der wenigen Zimmer viel Raum, sodass sich die Gäste angenehm verteilen. Unser grosses, kühles Dachzimmer war modern und geschmackvoll gestaltet, und das herzliche, familiäre Ambiente hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Auch die Lage eignet sich hervorragend für Fahrradtouren rund um Amboise; der Felskeller zur Aufbewahrung der Räder war dabei sehr praktisch.

Der Empfang war nicht ständig besetzt, die Mitarbeitenden waren jedoch vor Ort und bei Bedarf telefonisch erreichbar. Angesichts des Preisniveaus hätten wir einen etwas höheren Servicestandard erwartet. Im Eingangsbereich war zudem ein leicht modriger Geruch wahrnehmbar, der wohl auch dem Alter des Hauses geschuldet ist und sich eventuell mit einem Raumduft verbessern liesse.

Incredible castle that feels both modern and retains the castle charm. Beautiful grounds (pool!) and a staff / owner who checks in and advises about what to do and where to eat. Very helpful with great recommendations.

Prachtige locatie, rust, heerlijk zwembad en een verrassend leuk dorp. Heerlijk gegeten op aanraden van de eigenaar.

opbeurende kritiek, er zijn ook prima kunststof wijnglazen op de markt voor bij het zwembad. Dat is wat lekkerder det een kartonnen bekertje.. en doet ook eer aan de lokale Loire wijn. Die was heerlijk!

Tout était parfait ! Un havre de paix à 5 min d'Amboise. Idéal pour une pause en amoureux. Le personnel adorable, l'hôtel superbe, la piscine magnifique, le petit . L'impression d'être dans une bulle.

Really different. We rented 2 different rooms. The room outside the main house was really cool. I give it a 10. The room in the house was spacious and perfect for our 3 boys.

The room outside the house was up several stairs. Would be hard for elderly. The room inside the house has weak AC (they were fixing this while we were there). The hot water heater was also accidentally turned off. The house is a 24 euro ride from town, but very peaceful.

Scenic, great location and beautiful period property

Misled on amenities, with more effort it could be so much more. Left to fend for yourself, facilities were basic Curtains hanging off rails.

it was saying that there is A/C in the room but it was not cooling and we stayed on mid of june and was a hot day once we asked they said ac has been broken 3-4 days ago but they did not informed us and they told us we need to keep windows open if we like to get cold air!!! in the forest many bugs etc it was not a good idea....once we check in room we found a used half bottle water in the room.it is showing that room did not clean properly again we complaint about this and they want to give us a new fresh bottle and they think issue is water...NO ISSUE IS NON COMPLATED HOUSEKEEPING

Amazing château. The gentleman who checked us in was charming and helpful. The owner was great to chat to at breakfast. The bed was the most comfortable of our trip and the room was just sumptuous. The grounds were fascinating to wander around in.

Really hard to find anything not to like but I don't like the tea bags with microplastics and the hot tub engine was a bit loud.. But you can see if that's the downside then this is an amazing place.

Oliver was lovely and most helpful! Their staff - especially Sarah - is wonderful! My husband loved the hot tub!

We had an amazing stay at Château de Perreux. The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful gardens and peaceful nature, yet only a few minutes from Amboise and the Loire Valley's main attractions. It is the perfect base for exploring the region. A special thank you to Olivier, who made us feel welcome even before we arrived. He sent us a very helpful SMS with clear driving instructions, local tips, and excellent recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. His advice made our trip even more enjoyable and showed genuine care for his guests. The private suite with the jacuzzi and sauna was exceptional, the château is beautiful, and the entire experience was relaxing and unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Nuestra experiencia en este hotel fue realmente decepcionante. Habíamos reservado tres noches, pero decidimos marcharnos después de la primera, asumiendo la pérdida de más de 700 €, porque el alojamiento no tenía nada que ver con la imagen que transmite. La habitación presentaba un estado de limpieza muy deficiente: suciedad en la ducha y el inodoro, telarañas en las cortinas y una auténtica invasión de hormigas que terminaron incluso dentro de nuestra maleta. En las zonas exteriores había mesas y sillas rotas e inutilizables, dando una sensación de abandono total. Otro aspecto muy negativo es que prácticamente nunca hay personal. No encontramos a nadie en recepción, ni personal de limpieza ni empleados del hotel durante nuestra estancia. Si necesitas cualquier cosa, tienes que llamar a un número de teléfono. La piscina, además, está separada del edificio principal y hay que caminar unos diez minutos atravesando una zona boscosa para llegar hasta ella, algo que no se explica claramente. Hemos estado alojados en otros castillos y edificios históricos, por lo que entendemos que puedan tener ciertas limitaciones. Sin embargo, la antigüedad del edificio no justifica la falta de mantenimiento, la suciedad ni la ausencia de servicio. Y una última mención: hay que felicitar al fotógrafo que realizó las imágenes para Booking, porque hizo un trabajo espectacular. Consiguió mostrar un hotel que, lamentablemente, no se corresponde con la realidad que encontramos al llegar. La diferencia entre las fotografías y el estado real del alojamiento fue enorme. No recomendaríamos este hotel. Por el precio que cobran, la experiencia está muy lejos de lo que uno espera.

Adorei tudo: a simpatia do staff, a sensação de estar imersa no espírito japonês e a atenção aos detalhes. Todos os hóspedes deixam os sapatos à porta e circulam pelo ryokan de pantufas e quimono, o que contribui para uma experiência autêntica. O SPA é ótimo, as camas são muito confortáveis e o pequeno-almoço tradicional é excelente, com ovos mexidos preparados no momento. Não experimentámos o pequeno-almoço japonês, mas também está disponível mediante o pagamento de um valor adicional.

This is a beautiful place with such great character. Lots to explore around the Chateau and in the general area. Such a peaceful place too. The staff were great and made us really feel at home. Breakfasts were excellent. We would have loved to have stayed longer. I told the owner that it was not like other hotels because it wasn't perfect to the point that it felt artificial...it was just right!

The chateau was set in stunning grounds and had an easy relaxed feel as soon as you walked in. Wonderful pool. The owner could not have been more helpful. All the staff are extremely helpful .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Château de Perreux. The property beautifully preserves the charm and elegance of an authentic French château while still feeling comfortable, welcoming, and easy to relax in. The owner and staff were exceptionally warm and attentive — they took the time to know their guests personally and were incredibly helpful in planning our days in the Loire Valley, recommending excellent restaurants, and even arranging reservations for us. Their personal care and hospitality made the experience truly special.

What took a little adjustment was embracing the spirit of the place. The château is countryside living rather than a polished luxury hotel experience, and that is part of its charm. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, so during the warm summer evenings of our stay we slept with the windows open. Breakfast is served at the relaxed pace of the property and the surrounding Loire countryside. For us, it suited the mood of our vacation perfectly and added to the authentic experience, but guests who are very particular about small details or expect a more modern hotel style might find it less suitable.

The castle is really beautiful and the beds really confortable, the enviroment and the nature around is amazing. The worker was really kind.

I suggest due to the high price of the room and the quality of the hotel to add conditioner in the bathrooms, more towels (there are two big and two tiny) and a sheet for the bed (not only the duvet) because if its hot you cant cover with anything.

It's a beautiful renovated chateau located in the countryside just 20 minutes car ride from Ambrose. It was very special to stay in an older hotel and we enjoyed the ambience of the area. Great walking paths and a spa was onsite. A light continental breakfast in a gorgeous dining room.

It would be lovely if there had been a restaurant onsite to avoid the drive into town.

The room is really nice, great space and views. The manager was very kind.

They offer breakfast but we only got bread, sweet pastries and coffee. We were looking for something with more protein so we decided to skip it next day.

Very interesting place. Of course, it is very old, but the bathroom was modern and very nice. There is an elevator to the upper floors. We really loved the large window that opened out to the lovely quiet countryside.

Malgré un temps pluvieux, le lieu était agréable et chaleureux ! Nous avons profité de l'extérieur pour un petit tour du domaine qui doit être encore plus appréciable aux beaux jours. Le château est magnifique avec de belles surprises à l'intérieur. La chambre était spacieuse et confortable (particulièrement la literie). Bon petit déjeuner continental avec des produits frais et locaux. Merci à Ali pour son accueil, au propriétaire pour son partage et au reste de de l'équipe également ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir et un peu plus longtemps.

Pour le standing du lieu, quelques petits détails permettraient une expérience encore plus optimale : peignoir en chambre, miroir grossissant et crème corps en salle de bain etc.

La chambre est très spacieuse, à l'abri des regards et fort sympathique pour profiter du paysage. Malgré un mauvais temps on a pu profiter des bains nordiques à faire à n'importe quelle heure et même sous la pluie. L'équipement de la chambre est parfaite.
