The hotel is within walking distance from many excellent restaurants. The staff was polite, and the facility was clean. Parking is on sight, and you can park early and leave late.

While the hotel was pet friendly, it did not have an area available for dogs to use the restroom. We had to walk off site to find grass at a local Dominos. The staff was not able to provide directions other than to avoid areas marked to keep pets out, which was everywhere. There is a dog park, but you have to drive to go there.

This is my go-to hotel whenever I have friends staying in Arlington. Recently I had to check in late at night without a reservation, and Marie was a friendly presence who guided me through the booking process and made sure everything was good to go! Thanks to her I was able to enjoy a great night of stay- definitely will be staying here in the future again.

Clean and comfortable stay and the staff I interacted with were nice and helpful, especially Marie.

There were things that bothered me. I asked for an early check-in and was told that a room was becoming available in 15 minutes. It turned into hours of me repeatedly returning to the front desk to check on the time. The breakfast ends at 9:00am week days and 9:30am weekends and that’s just way too early. The coffee also isn’t available all day. Yes, it’s in your room for you to make, but there was also a cold brew station at breakfast that was promptly removed at 9:00am. Why not leave it with the hot coffee that stays out until it’s gone? The $40/day parking also seemed excessive. Lastly, the work spaces are great but the loud music throughout the lobby rendered them useless.

Everything honestly it was perfect from the staff to the facility it was clean and well kept and we felt very welcomed.

I loved that I could park my car and didn't need to move it until we checked out. The location is surrounded by so many places to eat. It's also convenient to public transportation. My family and agreed that we will definitely be revisiting the location.

The only negative experience I can say that I had; was that the pool water was too cold. However, that could be my opinion.

Dear Hotel Management, I am writing to express my disappointment with our recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below the standard we expected, especially considering we paid nearly $400 for a single night's stay. When we arrived, the bathroom in our room had clearly not been cleaned properly. There was a dirty washcloth still hanging in the shower, which immediately raised concerns about the overall cleanliness of the room. It was very disappointing to check into what should have been a clean, ready room only to find evidence that it had not been properly serviced. In addition, the check-in experience was extremely frustrating. The front desk associate was dismissive and unhelpful throughout the payment process. The issue was not with our payment method, but rather that she did not know how to process a payment through Zip. Instead of attempting to resolve the situation professionally, she placed the responsibility on us. I ultimately had to contact Zip Customer Service myself so they could walk her through the payment process. Between the unclean room and the discourteous customer service we received, our stay was not the quality of experience we expected for the amount we paid. Guests should be able to expect a clean room and courteous, knowledgeable service upon arrival. I hope you will review this matter with your housekeeping and front desk staff and consider appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and disappointment we experienced. Everything was great

Great stay for families. Was welcomed by Ms. Marie upon checking in. She was an absolute sweetheart and was so helpful to our family's needs. My kids enjoyed the pool. There was a life guard, which I appreciate since my small kids love to play in the pool. The breakfast was a must. Make sure to check the times they open as they close promptly at closing time. My kids saw Ms. Marie again during our stay and enjoyed her presence and she ensured if we needed anything to let them know. Sharon from front desk was helpful to my questions regarding my Target delivery. The janitor we met in the elevator helped with where to see the fireworks. Thank you so much to the staff for making our stay a great and memorable one. Will be recommending to friends.

Service was exceptional from housekeeping, to maintenance, to the front desk. Marie at the front desk was so accommodating and kind to our family! We also loved Kayode (front desk), such a sweet person. Lastly we had Estrella for housekeeping and she went above and beyond to help us. We will be back!

I stayed at the Residence Inn many times visiting our office in the Ballston area. I really enjoy having the kitchen and living room area to relax in after a long day. This day unfortunately I was not feeling very well and Miss Marie made such a difference. She saw I was not feeling well and checked me in quickly and reassured me that if I needed anything she was just a phone call away. When you're traveling alone that makes all the difference in the world to feel that somebody actually cares. So shout out to Miss Marie - You are truly a treasure!

I left my original hotel and came to Marriot not knowing what to expect. Ive had an amazing experience Marie was heaven sent she made the stay 10x better .

I stayed for 42 days at the hotel and I am actually sad to leave. From the staff on reception, to my breakfast crew and housekeeping, they made it feel a home away from home. Kayode, every morning sent me to class with a smile and he settled my exam nerves, he’s a star. Marie also had the biggest smile and warm welcome, I will miss her. If I ever come back to DC I will definitely stay here. I can’t thank everyone enough for taking such great care id me.

My wife was working on a project for an upcoming dance competition (sewing adjustments to a competition ball gown). We were running up against our deadline to check out of our room, and she had an hour or so more work to do before taking the dress to the dance studio. I spoke with Marie at the front desk and explained that we needed just a bit more time. Not only did she extend our time beyond what we needed, she also offered us bottles of water on the house. The whole experience was the perfect example of excellent customer service. We left feeling heard and appreciated, and my wife was able to take her time and ensure the adjustments to the dress were of high quality. Thank you Marie for being so helpful and accommodating! We will definitely be back to this fantastic property again!

I just got back from a stay at this hotel with my family and my older dad and it was awesome! We interacted the most with Robert in the evenings with check in and being there over a holiday weekend- and he was so nice and pleasant. We were also going to be checking out but he was staying longer in a different room. I had spoken to Robert about this because I knew it was a long shot on the early check in and was just trying to make things as simple as possible for him. Today when he did this his room was ready as soon as he checked out of ours. I was so appreciative of Robert’s help! As well we loved the breakfast each morning, the accommodations and location. The staff working the breakfast is so on top of it and they were working so hard to accommodate the large number of guests over Memorial Day weekend! This is the best Marriott Residence Inn we have ever stayed at- and we will definitely be back!

This hotel provided the best hotel experience I have had in a long time. The hotel was clean, and staff were very responsive to requests during my stay. Our stay at the Arlington Ballston Marriott was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. The breakfast each morning was delicious, with plenty of fresh options to choose from, and it was the perfect way to start busy days of touring and exploring the area. Our room was incredibly spacious, clean, and very comfortable, giving our family plenty of room to relax after long days on the go. Everything throughout the hotel felt spotless, well-maintained, and most importantly, safe, which made us feel immediately at ease. What truly made this stay exceptional, however, was the level of service we received. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and professional, but Miss Marie at the front desk was nothing short of phenomenal. We were in town for a college tour for our oldest child, and as any parent knows, that can be both exciting and emotional. Miss Marie immediately made us feel welcomed and took the time to speak with us in such a warm, genuine, and reassuring way. She knew exactly what to say to calm a parent’s nerves, put our minds at ease, and make us feel confident that we were in the right place. Lovely hotel, great for families and for professionals alike! Walkable to Metro, easy train ride to downtown DC; steps to shops, restaurants, across the street from a playground and splash-pad, helpful staff, clean, well-stocked rooms, great hotel amenities. Ms Marie at the front desk was very kind and helpful and made our family feel extremely welcome and well taken care. Definitely recommend!

I was looking for the best way to get downtown and found helpful guidance from a very positive young lady who was working the front desk… Marie was so grateful and eager to show me the way and how to use the hotel tools to navigate.. the board had information on the metro bus train ..

The pool was one reasons we chose this property it was only open from 5pm-9pm and when we say 9pm I mean at 8:59 the lifeguard told us it was closed. We asked for sheets and pillows for the pull out Couch at 8:15 at 10:30 when mu kids finally fell asleep the weren’t there despite 2 phone calls and you also had to sign up for their hotel reward program to use the wifi

Breakfast was very good, location was perfect

I stayed at this hotel for over a week and it doesn't measure up to other Residence Inn hotels I've stayed at in other countries. The hotel seems to be poorly maintained and the room we stayed in had a leaking faucet in the kitchen area. There also wasn't a hot water pot like other hotels have to boil water for tea. The windows don't open so ventilation is very poor and the rooms get stuffy since the vent in the bathroom doesn't exhaust the air. Residence Inns are supposed to be for longer stays where you can prepare meals in the room, but they have only one stock pot, sauce pan, and a frying pan, making only very simple meals of reheating frozen foods from the store possible. Don't expect to be able to cook much in the poorly equipped kitchen. In the morning, the breakfast is very simple and consists of packaged food. Nothing is cooked from scratch like you would at home, only food taken out of frozen packages and heated. Even the "scrambled" eggs are prepared from egg powder and water. Given the high nightly price of this hotel, I am quite disappointed by the room and hotel.

Staff is rude, specially during breakfast. You’re expecting a quiet environment and they stay standing by the tables speaking Spanish extremely loud. Also, why isn’t there pancakes every day anymore, that was a bummer, my kids love the pancakes and they only have during the weekend now.

I've stayed here multiple times now with family. My teens love coming to this hotel! Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms. Front desk staff are all friendly and helpful. The breakfast area is clean & pleasant, with friendly, attentive serving staff and a decent variety of items on offer. Great location within easy walking distance to the Metro, restaurants & grocery store. Plenty of parking in the garage - not so with other comparable hotels in the area. Already looking forward to my next visit!
