The location was great with outstanding views. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and valued. We loved the vibe and style of the hotel. It was very clean, comfortable and modern with thoughtful touches, whilst staying sympathetic to the swiss architecture. The spa (included in the price for guests) was great, as was the massage treatment I had. We struggled to find vegan food in Verbier so were very grateful that the team could cater to us so we could dine there one evening. W Verbier is more than just a hotel, it is a destination in itself.

The breakfast service felt a little chaotic at times, although the team were very friendly. Although the breakfast options are diverse, it would be great to see more Vegan options and also clearer labelling of food allergies at the buffet. The pillows on the bed were too soft and gave me a sore neck. The team kindly gave me a firmer pillow but this was also uncomfortable. I ended up using one of the cushions. The Nespresso machine in the room didn't produce very hot water. We weren't made aware that we would be charged extra for parking. It would be nice if this parking was included or if this isn't possible, to be made aware at time of check-in.

At the end of June 2026, I booked a weekend stay at W Verbier to celebrate my birthday on Saturday. Overall, the hotel itself was beautiful, but my experience was unfortunately overshadowed by several issues, culminating in what was confirmed to be a serious case of food poisoning. Upon arrival, the check-in process was disappointing. It was slow, and the receptionist provided virtually no information about the hotel, such as breakfast hours, available facilities, or other essential details. Although the hotel appeared to be far from full, we were informed that our room would not be available until the official check-in time of 4:00 PM because it was "not yet ready." However, we witnessed other guests receiving their rooms several hours before the official check-in time, making this explanation difficult to understand. In addition, I was asked to provide my credit card for a security deposit without being informed of the amount that would be authorized, which I found to be unprofessional. The most serious issue occurred after our stay. During our two-night visit, we ate every breakfast and dinner at the hotel. We did not eat lunch elsewhere because we spent our days hiking. On Monday morning, after breakfast, we checked out and drove back to Zurich. Approximately five hours after breakfast, I developed severe diarrhea. During the evening, my symptoms worsened considerably and included intense abdominal pain, cramps, nausea, and a mild fever. The following day, due to the severity of my condition, I went to the hospital. Laboratory analysis of my stool sample confirmed the presence of two bacterial infections: Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) and Yersinia enterocolitica. I was prescribed antibiotics, and fortunately my condition began to improve the following day. Based on the timing of the symptoms and the fact that all of my meals during the stay were consumed at the hotel, I strongly believe the infection originated from food served at the property. In particular, I suspect the breakfast sausages, which appeared to be undercooked. I contacted the hotel's management to report the incident. Their response was simply that they comply with all hygiene regulations and that no similar complaints had previously been reported by other guests. They also stated that if I wanted them to investigate the food, I would need to complete a specific form. I found this response disappointing. Whether the hotel decides to test its food products should be its own responsibility, particularly after receiving documented medical evidence of a guest contracting two foodborne bacterial infections. Furthermore, by the time this discussion took place several days later, any food served on the day in question would no longer have been available for testing. What makes this incident even more concerning is that only one month before this trip I had traveled through two African countries, where I ate local food without experiencing any health issues whatsoever. Yet, I suffered confirmed bacterial food poisoning after staying at a five-star luxury hotel in Switzerland, where guests pay premium prices and reasonably expect the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This experience was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. While service shortcomings can sometimes be overlooked, food safety should never be compromised. I hope the hotel takes this matter seriously and reviews its food handling procedures to ensure that no other guests experience a similar incident.

Top Hotel an ausgezeichneter Lage (nahe zum Zentrum und direkt an der Bergbahn). Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Ich wurde oft mit Namen begrüsst. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, gross, modern eingerichtet und trotzdem mit alpinem Charme. Es verfügte über einen grosszügigen Balkon mit Sitzgelegenheit und fantastischer Aussicht. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen im Restaurant waren hervorragend.

Leider hat der wunderbare, grosse Balkon keinen Sonnenschutz.

My husband and I flew to Geneva for a trip through Switzerland, Italy, and France. Our first night was spent at the W Verbier. It was outstanding. Just driving from Geneva to Verbier was so beautiful. We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by Emma and Maude at reception, who were the right blend of friendly, informative, and professional. The room we were given was gorgeous. Attached is a photo of the view from our balcony. The bed and pillows were perfect. It was so good to sleep off jet lag in such a beautiful and peaceful location. The food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast couldn't have been better. We met Francesca and Blaise at breakfast, who told us about living in the Swiss Alps. All the rest of our stays on the trip were great, but none could compare to the W Verbier.

We came by car and the vallet was not there Then it took quite some time as some customers who arrived at the same time wanted to negotiate a different suite … we clearly felt we were not a priority. Then we had to take care of our luggages ourselves as it was taking ages and we wanted to go to the spa (which was closing 45mns later)

The staff exceeds every expectation. They go above and beyond to help guest with every request. The location, spa and ski room are excellent!

The room was a bit tight but they do give you ample areas to put away ski items. The only thing we did not like was how dark the hallways are. It's a bit disorienting because everything is black and there is so little light.

Stayed here for a snowboard vacation. The hotel is decent, but it falls short of the prices that are charged and how it is advertised. For example, some rooms list a fireplace as an amenity. In reality, the “fireplace” is just steam/water vapor and some orange lighting. There is not a real fireplace to be found anywhere in the hotel, which was disappointing since we enjoy coffee in the morning and wine at night by the fireplace during our annual snow trips. The lounge areas are mid at best. The hot chocolate from the Living Room was awful, and my to-go hot chocolate was served with no lid in a clear, plastic cup that was set inside another clear plastic cup since the inner one with the liquid was beginning to melt. Don’t expect to have privacy in your room, even with the “do not disturb” sign and the door locked. Make sure you use your extra door latch in addition to the deadbolt. On our second evening (approx. 6pm) a staff member ignored our do not disturb sign, unlocked and opened our door without knocking. One of us was in the shower and the other was mid-dressing. Thankfully, the extra latch kept the door from opening fully. We had not asked for anyone to come to our room, and the staff member was apparently at the wrong room number. One evening as we were relaxing in bed watching our own tablet, the speakers that were connected to the hotel TV (which was off) suddenly turned on with loud static. Engineering had to come to adjust something in a cabinet above the TV. Then, overnight the same evening, another speaker spontaneously turned on with static as we slept and could only be turned off by unplugging it. We shared concerns with the hotel and they insisted that we dine at the hotel complimentary on our last evening. We had not heard good feedback about the restaurants, so we were hesitant. In hindsight, we should have trusted our instincts and stuck with our plan to eat elsewhere. But, we wanted to give them a chance to wow us, so we ate at 1519. The chicken dish we ordered was average at best. The shrimp dish we ordered was pink on one side, grey on the other, had a slimy/mushy consistency, and the flavor was disgusting. It was so awful that we did not eat it after trying to power through one shrimp. They did offer to swap it out, but it was late and we were so frustrated and tired of the sub-par overall hotel experience that we just wanted to get back to our room to pack and prep for departure the next day. Unfortunately, this hotel does not represent Marriott well. The stay felt like a complete waste. The hotel is refusing any type of refund, as they are deeming the awful meal at 1519 to be “appropriate”. Better lodging experiences are available at or below this price/point level. Save yourself the money and frustration and stay elsewhere.

We went for a day spa experience and cocktails and lunch afterwards in the living room. Really nice experience- the spa was great with many different saunas and pools (even outdoor which is cool wintertime). The living room had a great burger with sweet potato fries and great Bloody Marys. The view was amazing as well

If I have to be really picky, I would wish a bit more efficiency for the reception, but we still had a truly fantastic stay.

Un hotel molt acollidor, ben decorat, habitacions grans i amb vistes, a peu de pistes. Molt comode per anar a esquiar, i si no esquies hi ha un spa fantastic. L’esmorzar tambe ens va agradar molt.

Els restaurants del hotel no estan a l’alçada, son caríssims i el menjar es molt fluixet, poca qualitat i poc sabrosos. Pero esta ple de restaurants al voltant del hotel molt bons i amb preus mes assequibles.

Best property for skiers, by far, in all of Verbier!

Verbier is truly a special place that everyone should see with their own two eyes. Its magical in so many ways. Add in the W hotel and all they have to offer and you know you will have found a skiers paradise. Coming from the states it takes alot to get to Verbier. Coming from Zurich you can take the train or car but from Geneva you have to drive. Its a long day. But the Whatever, whenever is on full display upon arrival. As a Bonvoy Platinum member the perks are seemingly endless and it is part of the American Express fine hotel brand so even more benefits. If you know, you know. Coming into the hotel seems surreal. The setting is breathtaking. The lobby has the W vibe you expect to see in a major city but with the mountain feel. The rooms have everything you could want and the giant balcony looking up the mountain you have a front row seat to paradise. Mountain luxury in every way. Fireplace. Tub. Coffee maker. Desk. Closet and beds to die for. The mountain concierge on the lobby level is a skiers dream. Ski in ski out the W Verbier is on its own level. Keep your skis and boots there, and they have a rental shop on premises with literally everything you need. Just steps from the Gondola you cannot be any closer. You will want to start your day with breakfast with views over looking the valley. This is a fantastic buffet with everything you want with a full made to order menu as well. After the ski day they have a world class spa that is incredible amd welcomed after a day of skiing. Giant indoor hot tub, steam rooms, saunas, indoor and out door pools. Cabana to lie and relax and you can order food and drinks. You will think you have died and gone to heaven. The concierge can arrange world class dining options, heli skiing or anything you desire. The people are what make a property 5 stars and from the moment you arrive that is apparent. This is the best hotel in Verbier to be sure and you will definitely be planning a trip back before you are down the mountain.
