Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Langham. Staff and service were outstanding and our view of the Chicago River was excellent. We were on the fifth floor, so did hear a lot of traffic noise, but didn’t bother us. Not unusual since we were downtown in The Loop. Got a lot of use from the heated pool. Definitely top tier and the $40 per day Expedia credit made it much better with ordering room service and use of the in room mini bar. Prime location and close to Michigan Avenue. If you plan to visit Chicago, then I would definitely consider staying here.

Exceptional service from moment we checked in. Upgraded our room at a fair price. Greeted daily by name, had a birthday surprise in our room. Had turn down service each night which was lovely. On Wednesday nights there are fireworks. Could see them perfectly from my room which was Room 603.

Wonderful stay! Staff was amazing from front desk to club lounge. Had an issue and Alex handled it way above my expectations! Was greeted by my name and they couldn’t be more wonderful. If you can definitely go to the spa. Had great facial and enjoyed the pool and the lounge area. Club lounge food and drink there was a wide variety very tasty and loved many items paid homage to the foods Chicago history. From the deep dish pizza and pasta at evening service to garrets popcorn, Mars full size candy bars to Do rite donuts! Nice touch for tourists and staycationers ! The views were amazing the room we had was comfortable and clean. Can’t wait to return!

We ended up coming to the hotel on a last-minute trip when our home lost power during the storms in Indiana. We booked our room on the way to the hotel. We had our son with us, and he LOVED the kids' suite. At check-in, he was handed a stuffed bear that he has carried around for days since. The staff were so kind and attentive during our stay; they really helped us make the best of a tough situation. Alex L was so helpful at check-in, escorted us to our room, and continued to check on us throughout our stay.

Almost everything was exceptional in the hotel.

The location is great but getting to the hotel by car or leaving was very difficult and GPS instructions were confusing or wrong. That was the only disagreeable experience.

We stayed here two years ago and returned for a disappointing visit. Carpet looks old and dirty, and the mattresses are beyond old and uncomfortable (and I was in the club level). Food offerings in the lounge were lackluster and not kept warm or hot as needed. Overall, we will not return.

The hotel architecture is magnificent. The location is perfect. The views of the river is surreal.

We were given a Handicap Room. We don't require such accommodations and consequently, we didn't like our room.

The Langham is your choice for quiet luxury. Beautiful rooms, elegant service, a wonderful spa - "happening" bar and a nice restaurant for breakfast. Perfect Chicago location along the river is centrally located for business, shopping and pleasure.

Accommodations & Staff: The room was fantastic and very well-appointed, and the service from the staff throughout our stay was consistently polite and professional. The Spa & Gym: We thoroughly enjoyed utilizing the wellness facilities. Both the sauna and the steam room were top-tier, and the entire spa facility and gym were spotlessly clean. Exceptional Breakfast: The breakfast restaurant was a massive highlight for us. The food was phenomenal, and the truffle mushroom omelette quickly became our absolute favorite. Areas for Improvement: Air Conditioning: The only true operational issue we encountered was with the in-room climate control. The AC did not work properly for 2 to 3 days straight. While the staff did come to look at it each time I reported the issue, the fix was temporary, and the same problem would arise again the very next day. Sustainability Suggestion: For a luxury hotel of this high caliber, we would strongly suggest moving away from standard plastic water bottles, which feel very wasteful for the environment. It would be a massive upgrade to see the hotel transition to premium glass bottles instead, perhaps implementing a sustainable system where they are refilled during morning and evening housekeeping service.

The only thing I wish I was told when checking in was that my room key needed to be used in elevator at all times

We spent a long weekend here and had a very nice experience. I would definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area. The service was impeccable, the rooms were spacious and well-appointed, and the staff were consistently friendly, professional, and helpful. Many team members went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I had requested a fragrance-free room due to a sensitivity, and the hotel did an excellent job accommodating that request, which I really appreciated. The gym was excellent, and I attended a couple of the yoga/Pilates classes. I just wish there had been more class times that fit my schedule. One feature we especially appreciated was the steam room and sauna in each locker room, which hotel guests can use even without booking a spa service. That became part of our daily routine. There's a large indoor pool and a hot tub. It seemed to be popular with families and children, so I'd definitely consider it family-friendly, while still being a great option for adults traveling without kids, as it was for us.

The Langham, Chicago is a wonderful hotel. Clean, modern and great staff. It's centrally located on the river so you can go north or south veryb easily. Very walkable to a lot of things like MIllennium Park, The Art Institute, Lake Michicgan, Navy Pier, etc. It was very hot when we were there so we ubered more than usual. As I said it is very modern so if you're looking for the older European style srchitecture inside this isn't it. but those places are easily walked to if you want to see some of that. There is a coffee bar with a limited food menu on the first floor in the lobby. The food wa really good and very reasonably priced. It wasn't until the third day into our stay someone told us it actually wasn't part of the hotel...that it was subsidized by the builsing or something like that. I don't really know...but it was a happy find to have breakfast without the inflated hotel food prices. The Langham is pricier than the Hilton or Westin, etc.but if you can afford it it is a huge upgrade. Highly recommend th Langham.

The Langham will definitely be a place I will use again when visiting Chicago. Nothing I have ever experienced in overnights in a hotel. Staff was beyond accommodating and personable not to mention professional. Indor checked us in and it only got better. Thank you Langham for finding and hiring quality souls to accommodate us. I had a VERY pleasant experience at the Langham hotel. It was centrally located by EVERYTHING!!!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

This is the third Langham property I’ve stayed at. I previously visited their London and Melbourne hotels. Like the others, this is a beautiful property and excellently situated. The rooms are large, modern, clean, and spacious with great (although slightly obstructed) views of the water. The service is prompt, friendly, and attentive. Special shout out to the housekeeping service which is meticulous. My sister joined me midway through my stay and the housekeeping service noticed and provided extra slippers, robes, and water. Note that the street noise was quite audible well into the night (loud cars and sirens) even though we were on the 9th floor. It did disrupt our sleep. Overall, however, I would gladly stay here again. There is one issue I want to flag for improvement. I am not in favor of mandatory tips for spa services which is, unfortunately, increasingly common these days. I had a massage while I was staying there and while it was perfectly adequate, it was not exceptional and felt, at times, rushed and missing finesse. Normally, I’d reflect this view in the size of the tip. Instead, Langham charged a mandatory service fee that increased the cost of the service from $260 to $321. When I asked if I could modify the tip amount, I was told no, but I could add a further tip on top if I wanted. Mandatory tips discourage your teams from providing superior service and left me feeling dissatisfied.

The location is perfect for exploring Chicago. Every aspect of the hotel was beautiful, from reception to the comfortable rooms.

Weekend trip to CHI to visit family. Second stay at the Langham in past year. It may have supplanted The Peninsula as our go to hotel in CHI. Very nice luxury hotel with great food and hotel bar. Gym is on the nicer end of hotel gyms. Large indoor pool and hot tub. Very walkable to the Gold Coast, Michigan Avenue, Millennium Park and the Art Museum. What really sets this hotel apart from others though is the outstanding quality of the Club Level. The best I have enjoyed of any hotel anywhere. Well worth the cost of the upgrade. Very large space with sweeping views of CHI. Dining area and separate lounge type space with comfortable couches, Herman Miller Ames chairs, etc. The quality of the food and beverage offerings is absolutely top notch here. Just a great experience. Only downside to the hotel is proximity to Trump Tower (right across the street). Kidding (sort of). Highly recommend this spot.

Really enjoyed our time at this property. We Love the location and the views of this property offered. The customer service was fantastic from arrival to departure. The health facilities were in great shape, they were very clean and I enjoyed being able to work out daily. The club level is also amazing the drinks, the food, the service are all top-notch not to leave out the beautiful accommodations that we were afforded. We have stayed at the Langham twice, and both times have had a stellar experience. From the moment we entered the doors, staff is kind, courteous, plentiful, and really makes the hustle and bustle of Chicago fade into the background. We really value the cleanliness and the overall beauty of the rooms - there are wireless chargers and plugs galore for family and work needs, and the bathrooms are impeccably clean and very pretty. Each room feels designed to work for a family or couple. The room itself is stocked with so many small niceties for forgetful travelers like myself, like a steamer, a dental kit, lotions, combs, etc. What stands out the most for us - as it has honestly for the Langham above virtually every other hotel with technically more "features" - is the exceptional service. Everyone is so incredibly nice. This most recent stay, we had a concierge who got to know our five-year-old daughter by name and on a personal basis, though we had not signed up for any kids-specific packages. She was so kind and really made returning to the hotel a joy. She is one of many examples of the wonderful care we've received here, and why we will definitely be coming back.

Me and three friends stayed at The Langham while visiting Chicago for Lollapalooza, and we decided to splash out on a bit of luxury for a few days during our road trip. All I can say is wow. The rooms, staff and facilities were all amazing, and it was exactly what we needed after a few days on the road. The hotel felt properly luxurious, and the beds were some of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. We also made use of the pool area, which was fantastic and made the stay feel even more relaxing. Overall, it was a brilliant experience from start to finish. 10/10 — would definitely recommend.

Location. Clean and quiet room.

Upon arriving at the check in time we were told the room was not ready and they had no idea when it would be. Super tired after a multi hour drive we couldn’t even take a shower or change clothes. Had to wait for 2 hours (!). When we finally stepped in the room, our luggage was not there even though they had said it would be taken care of. Called the reception, reminded them. 30 minutes later (!!) we finally got our stuff. They did offer a “credit for the inconvenience”. $150 which didn’t even cover the 2-night parking. That’s it. No complimentary upgrades, breakfast, drinks or something to make it less annoying. Is this a 5 star hotel experience? You decide Also, the cocktails at the bar are very expensive and very meh in terms of taste

We booked the Langham for our wedding night, and felt very excited to experience such a highly rated 5-star hotel. We reached out before arriving, letting them know the reason for our stay, and they even gave us complimentary champagne which was very nice. However, the reason for such a low review is that we ended up having such a negative experience, that we left the hotel within an hour of arrival. When we checked in the night of our wedding, it was around 1 AM, and it became apparent almost immediately after entering our room that the walls were paper thin. Guests next door to us were throwing a party, and we could hear absolutely everything - loud music, yelling and talking, we could even hear if they opened a new drink or received a phone notification. We’ve never experienced so much noise in a hotel, let alone one that is 5-stars. We called the front desk to see if we could move away from the partying guests, and were told there were no other rooms and that security would be sent up to check on the noise level, but we don’t think this happened since the noise never stopped. Eventually, we just told them we would rather leave than spend our wedding night next to someone else’s hotel party, at what was now 1:30 AM. They were then able to offer us a different room, which we declined since the entire night there just felt ruined. Luckily for us, we live in Chicago, so we could make the trip home. Not what we envisioned. Really saddened by this experience and disappointed in the Langham.

From the moment I arrived, the experience at The Langham, Chicago felt polished, welcoming, and genuinely thoughtful. The rooms were spacious, quiet, and very well maintained, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Small touches, like the in-room espresso machine and the luxurious bathroom with the rain shower, made the stay feel special. The staff consistently stood out throughout our visit. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. The most memorable example was after checkout, when I realized I had left my AirPods behind. The housekeeper promptly turned them in, and Anthony from Security went above and beyond to help coordinate getting them shipped back to me the very same day. That level of care and follow-through truly left an impression on me.

We last stayed here 9 yrs ago and wanted to return to Chicago,so we decided to do this for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. It did not dissapoint and we are so glad we returned,all the staff are just so friendly and very helpful. The room we chose was a Club Lounge again as that was perfect for us,we had a good view out. The room does not have a coffee machine which we had forgotten about,but with the lounge a few steps away it was easy to get a drink in the mornings. We had to ask for a iron & ironing board which arrived promptly. Prior to our arrival the hotel had asked for a photo & in the room was the photo supplied in a frame with a bottle of champagne 🍾 that was such a lovely thing to walk into after a long haul flight from the UK. The rooms now have Diptyque for the toiletries & shower,they are lovely. The lounge was great for breakfast & sets you up for a long day ahead,poached eggs came out perfect,during the day there are always snacks/drinks. We manged to get back for a afternoon tea,the scones & jam lovely. Check in & out easy,they will look after your bags if you want to explore more to make the most of your time there. The only thing this time we noticed were some children running around the lounge not quiet, as if it was a nursery,not the hotels fault. This was a stay we are so glad we had made,we could have gone elsewhere in the city,The Langham lived up to why we returned for a special occasion. Lastly see Phillippe The Chief Concierge he is amazing.

Then Langham didn’t disappoint. The one bedroom suite was amazing and allowed us access to the club upstairs which was such a welcoming environment. The rooms are always so quiet and clean. I can’t wait to go back and also check out other Langham properties in other countries when we are traveling.

I had a reservation in Chicago at the Langham and I selected pay in advance for a cheaper rate. I called to cancel and was told, no refund would be offered.Was told to select a flexible rate in the future for a higher room rate.I question how a five star hotel is awarded this status and offers no refund on a invoice of $672.+I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, no matter their status or wealth.

Spent the weekend here for personal rest and relaxation. The hotel staff and facilities exceed my needs and expectations. It’s a lovely hotel and of high quality.

My husband booked a room for us, and was supposed to meet me there after flying in from a business trip in London. Staff allowed my to check my bag and kind enough to provide me with a complimentary drink ticket for the bar. Later that night, my world as I knew it came to an abrupt end when I got the call that my husband was not on the flight, but had taken his own life earlier that day. After being in complete shock and still trying to process this nightmare, I requested to speak to the manager. He stood there in the lobby, not even giving me the grace of a seated private conversation, so that I could tell him and a gaggle of complete strangers the worst news of my entire life to which he responded, “We offer you our condolences” then proceeded to walk me out to give me my bag back and threw me into the cold rain. I was a broken man in that moment and sought some level of compassion from what used to be mine and my husband’s “heaven on earth” hotel, then treated like a vagrant unworthy of their opulence.

This resort is top notch and their staff throughout each area is very attentive. A great place of luxury and comfort.

Perfect stay at the Club Lounge, Kids' Suite, and all hotel facilities. The Lounge is a must! We also enjoyed the room - house keeping are detailed in cleanliness and thoughtfulness. They even placed a kids' robe in our room.

This place exceeds expectations, we initially thought that it was going to be extremely busy and wait times were going to be long, given the date we stayed, but the staff-guest interactions and accomodations were great. We almost "weren't allowed to touch the doors" as the staff was always present and ready to help out. The place provided a stark and nice contrast to the city.

We celebrated our 32nd anniversary here and it was amazing, from checkin to checkout was just beautiful. The room was spacious, extremely clean and luxury. I’d highly recommend Langham over any hotel in the city.

The Langham Chicago is the ideal place to stay for a true chicago getaway with family or even business trip. I’ve stay for both and found the hotel accommodation meets my needs each and every time! The staff is kind and attentive, each person encountered maintained the same level of hospitality and professionalism. The spa is great! The Spa Director Emily is a fine operator and her team is amazing!
