My Fiancée and I absolutely loved our stay at the Skylark Hotel. The amenities are excellent, the rooftop pool a refreshing way to end a hot day in Hanoi! Location is fantastic, only a short walk to all the major sights. Best of all were the staff, Long and Ms Bang were absolutely fantastic, wonderfully friendly and couldnt have been more accommodating. Very grateful to them both for making our trip to Hanoi such a pleasure!
Nothing at all, the hotel was a delight to stay in.
Good location and price As described
We rented the apartment at the side of the property. I liked that it was spacious for a large party.
The area leading to the apartment needs some renovations. If you take the apt there is no cleaning during your stay
I booked last June, when we arrived they’d given our rooms to someone else, we had to go looking for somewhere else to stay
Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Die Dame die uns empfangen hat (Queeny) war sehr hilfsbereit. Fürs Frühstück geht man ins Hauptgebäude rüber welches 20 Meter daneben liegt. Frühstück war auch sehr gut und ausreichend
Dung and Quenny are both very friendly and helpful!
Dung was a great help in checking us in and showing us to the room - great service!
Good location, easy to get around. Room was nice

We booked 3 bedrooms, all of them were big and had big beds too. Rooms were clean.
It doesn't have a bar or restaurant. Mattresses aren't very comfortable.
Maybe the location.
There are two buildings next to each other with the same name. We booked the nicer-looking one but were placed in the other (we were not aware of the second hotel at that time, we asked our tour guide about it), where the rooms were awful and there was mold on the walls. This feels like a tourist trap or scam. Be careful—this place is not serious, and I do not recommend it.
Great value for money hotel. Staff were great and very friendly. Helped me book a tour to Ha Long Bay. Breakfast was nice with plenty of choice. Only downside was there was some construction next door which could be noisy at times.
Location good
No windows in room.
The staff were wonderful, very attentive and friendly. Bed though a little firm was huge and comfortable. There was building work next door which would sometimes be distracting. Breakfast was underwhelming lots of choice but hot food was very dry and rubbery. WiFi was very hit and miss on 3rd floor.
Good and courteous staff. Breakfast was good and offered a decent variety.
I understand that there is limited space on the rooftop for a pool but it was not what I expected. Any more than 4 people would tax the limited resources. Unfortunately there was a construction crew working each day right outside my room. A bit noisy but at least they packed it in after dark.
Location is good, a short walk or Grab ride from the Old Quarter. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room was called "Superior". But this is apparently the worst of the rooms. It had no window. The staff were excellent and helped us to upgrade to a Deluxe room. Laundry was expensive.
We booked this property as it mentioned a gym, but it seems the gym had been removed. The pool isn’t big enough to actually swim in either. Good location to walk into the old quarter, with an easy route through. Staff were really helpful and friendly.
Helpful & friendly staff, spacious room, nice buffet breakfast
We had a room with balcony. Balcony and room were very large, clean and comfotable. Excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Central neighborhood for Hanoi sights with lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. Excellent steam hotspot restaurant (Ha ha Steem) two blocks away.
The terrace on the roof wasn’t open after breakfast and there was not enough seating around the small pool.
The staff and service were excellent
The pool was tiny. and freezing . I wouldn't buy the breakfast
Staff work extremely helpful

Location was nice, friendly and helpful staff
The shower door did not close completely, and the water went underneath the door, which made half of the bathroom floor wet.
Lovely staff who greeted you every time you came in and went out. The room was nice - we had a balcony but the weather wasn’t quite up to using it. The hotel is on a busy street at the front and Hanoi traffic is crazy so if you are a light sleeper you may want some ear plugs. This is not the hotel’s problem but worth being aware of. Breakfast is nice and plentiful and was included in my booking.
Terrible experience. Arrived to find a very old hotel with dirty rooms . Travelled as part of trip A Deal and majority of the 20 in our group requested to be moved as the hotel was below standard. Rooms were small , dirty with a lot of things requiring repairs ( ie broken taps , broken robes, broken AC. One Lift for 50 rooms , no group sitting area, Pool not at all welcoming , not one person used it. Breakfast was dismal and certainly only option for GF and DF was Fruit . Staff were not helpful or interested in assisting in any way. Only positive was the Great location . Our luggage for the day was kept in the foyer under a net which was the hotels secure luggage area. Our group of 20 were moved the following night to a better hotel .
The pillows, air con and showwr
It was okay
Floors were dirty and linen etc were not clean, bed was not comfortable and a lot of noise from outside. Would not recommend this place for a family
This does not feel like a 4 star property since the rooms appear dated and some rooms are not airy and boxed in. There seem to be 2 properties : Skylark boutique hotel and Skylark Hotel. On the surface the Skylark hotel appears to be nicer but not sure since we got rooms in the other one but since I have not stayed at the other one not sure. I feel there should be some transparency on this from the hotel who are taking bookings under one brand name.
Very helpful as we had a problem with our original booking and Skylark had availability which we booked 20 minutes before arriving and they were very accommodating. The staff were friendly.
The breakfast was fine but we’ve had nicer elsewhere in our trip.
The staff were amazing and are the hotels best asset. We organised our transfer (for a fixed fee) with them and they were very accomodating when our luggage failed to show up and we had to wait at the airport until it arrived on the next flight. The location was great and was great value for money.
There was a lot of construction and the noise continued well into the night. The breakfast was appreciated but was pretty average in quality.
False advertising Booked 2 superior rooms , arrived Rooms were not as pictured at all. They gave us rooms with no windows, like a cell. No fridge no iron, nothing as advertised. No pool no balcony no restaurant, you have to go to a different skylark for pool n restaurant, which has way nicer rooms , but in order to get the rooms that are in photos u need to upgrade, an extra 30 can a night, for that money u can stay at the REY hotel. Staff were lovely, not their fault , management took no accountability for misleading both bookings. Def will not be back or recommend. Photos to come, everything is broken and old dirty. Go elsewhere
The hotel was in an amazing location, we had 5 nights in Hanoi which was really fun. The staff were very helpful and shared some tips of places to see and local places to eat and food to try.
Our bathroom sliding door broke on the second night, my husband was stuck in the bathroom but the hotel did send a wonderful man to free him within minutes. We saw the funny side of it but I think my husband was relived to get out of the bathroom. They also had the door fixed within 30 minutes thank you for acting quickly.
Staff in particular.
Construction noise from the buildings next door. Not the hotel's fault but the working hours were very long.
Clean, spacious, and well equipped. Reasonable price. We would book again but better mattresses would be appreciated.
Nothing
The construction was there 24h7days, almost impossible to sleep, we weren’t informed about, hotel should be closed during that
The staff need to get their act together. I was told I could checkout late (2 hours past checout time) nobody ever said I would need to pay extra. Then on the day of checkput they tried to scam me and charge me more money. The pool and breakfast were not at the hotel it was at another hotel 2 doors down. Breakfast was mediocre at best and the pool area was so disgusting I couldn't use it. There was no fridge. The toilet didn't work right. This place was not at all what was advertised and such a disappointment.
Most of the hotel staff is very good and hotel location close to some highlights although rooms are good but needs some repairs. I would still recommend this hotel due to its location and friendly staff members. Also I have seen value for money in this hotel
Nice received free upgrade. Room huge but due for refit
Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful especially Long. Long was amazing giving us his local knowledge of restaurants and cafes , and local sightseeing spots.
Nothing
The bed was spacious and reasonably comfortable. The location was really good too. But the room was a bit grotty; the cups by the sink still had toothpaste on from the last visitors, and the showerhead was covered in limescale. Our room faced the road so had a lot of noise from the traffic, but also the lights on the front of the building to light up the sign created quite a lot of light pollution in the room. We were also put in their second building, two or three buildings down from the hotel, so we had to go outside and back in the other building to get breakfast or visit the pool.
Great hotel
Reception Alva is always smile and supports me, I'm very happy staying here
Long and Alva give us everything we need, they try their best and I feel satisfied with our stay
The staffs were so nice that made our stay comfortable and relaxing.
Excellent location.Well behaved staff. Good breakfast
Nothing
The staff were fantastic for our whole stay.especially Long.
Smell of mould and dampness everwhere. Originally had room 101 but it didn't have a window. We changed to 401 and paid a little extra.
Staff were beyond excellent especially Lon the manager. A little trouble with Sapa tour but Lon sorted things very well
Breakfast could be better. Need more accessible power points in the rooms

The staff are enthusiastic, thoughtful and friendly, especially Long and Phuong Anh
Long was an amazing host and arranged a lovely trip to Halong Bay that was seamless. Accommodation was clean and lovely and close to lots of cool things to do and eat.
Nothing.
Good location and the receptionist Long is very friendly
Will not recommend. It’s old, a lot of construction next to the hotel, that kept us awake all night. We ate breakfast the first morning- a saturday and they told us 9.30 that they are closing eventhough it says 10 in the weekends. We bought breakfast outside the other days, because it seemed unhygienic and not tasteful. I only came one morning because my mum broke her arm and had to have medicin. I came 6.30 and were told to come 15 minutes after even though everything was ready ( they open 6.30) I came after 15 minutes and she were ready angry- just like our first day. I asked for an extra pillow for my mum since her arm were broken and they said no because everything was booked. I checked online- they had selvrealisering rooms for booking. When we were leaving for flight home 22 o’clock in the evening, they rented out the room same night. We found out because something went wrong with the tickets and we returned after calling them first to ask if it was ok. They didn’t know who we were when we came even though they had seen us before. They gave us the key and then we found out someone else stayed in the room. We got another, bad room and 7 in the morning they turned up childrens music for full blast. We couldn’t get any rest and had to change location untill 17 o’clock when we had 16 hours flight home. Will not recommend!
The room was big and comfortable. WiFi and aircon worked well. Staff were very friendly.
The pool area is a bit of a let down... the covered pool was like a greenhouse and the construction next door was very noisy. I felt it was a bit overpriced.
The stay was very pleasant. Thao, Thuy at reception were super friendly and very helpful. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable.
The staff was very helpful, we could left our suitcases in the hotel while we were on Halong Bay. Cleaning every day :)
The room was a bit small, the extra bed in our room wasn’t helpful,
The swimming pool was really helpful after a hot day walking through Hanoi. The staff was really kind.
Bad soundproofing in the room. Breakfast until 9:30, but if you get there at 9 am, there is not too much food, the tea thermo was more water than tea, the coffee thermo was almost empty and when I asked for more coffee, the guy just filled it up with warn water and not hot water. The air conditioner didn’t work properly. We couldn’t turned on from our room, we had to go to the reception to ask to turned on, it worked for a few hours and it turned off in the middle of the night. We couldn’t sleep well that night, the noise out of the room and the hot of the room.
Good location with helpful staff
Very friendly staff and excellent location only 5-10 min walk to old town! Good breakfast too some great western options.
We were put in the boutique hotel 2 doors from main hotel so had to walk to other hotel for breakfast and use pool.
Very clean, central. Very friendly helpful and kind staff. Helped with taxis and trips
All great
I was very pleased with my stay at the Skylark Hotel! It was clean and the veiw with the balcany was solid!. The breakfast team did an amazing job with the cooking and the service, and the housekeeping was to a high standard and very professional, so i was very pleased with my stay here overall. This place is in a very handy location so i would happily recommend this place for anyone looking for a good place to stay in Hanoi. I hope to be back one day very soon! Thankyou!
Location was good
Room was very musty, water leaked in through the window, we couldn't get extra pillows and had to ask 4 times before they were eventually delivered
Clean room, good location, Longdeek is super friendly
The service from the straff. They were very helpful.
Very good breakfast, pleasant service
Great value for money
Great staff, it was quiet and cosy. It offered all we needed.
Great location, good staff, lovely room
Huy, Thuy and Thao are extremely kind and helpful, treat you like royalty! the rooms are big and spacious with comfortable beds, it is a little noisy however we found most city hotels in vietnam are due to busy streets. we even got a free room upgrade on arrival and the hotel organised for us really affordable taxi service to the hotel.
Breakfast is good and with enough choices. The location is good and within walking distance to the centre where the lake is. The staff is very good particularly Alva at the front desk. I was even able to WhatsApp back to the hotel for information while outside of the hotel. They also prepared a sandwich and fruit box for me take and other guests to take with us as we departed too early to have breakfast before leaving for the tour.
The price was affordable and most importantly the hospitality of the staff was nicer like Duc Long and Huy The hotel is in the central hanoi which makes it easily accessible to the night market, shopping area and of course night life.
Good location, Clean room, Good breakfast, Excellent staff Thanks Huy and Long for alot advice in Hanoi
Staff were wonderful and made us feel so at home. Huy is talkative and help me a lot when im staying here. The breakfast can have more food options. However, even with the options that they have, the Hotel's hospitality makes up for it. Location is perfect and room was very good.
