Reviewed Sep 14, 2026I had two King Deluxe Rooms booked from 9-13 September 2026. I understand that things happened that were not the hotels doing like the transportation strike on the 9th. But we waited over two hours for the airport to hotel shuttle. We contacted the hotel by phone twice asking about the pick up and were told that there were two van’s providing this service one gray and one black. We told them that there were may black and gray vans in the hotel pick up area but none of them where identified as picking up those going to the Bastion Hotel only to be told that the van should say du Paul which again there were many but none identified as Bastion Hotel. The last call the told us to ask the van from nh hotel if we could get on one of theirs. We did and they refused us. Finally an orange van from Bastion Hotel showed up but it could only pick up our luggage and two of our party of four. The remaining two took a cab to the hotel. Upon check in I took all of our luggage to our two assigned rooms. Upon delivering the luggage to my son and his wife’s room 433 I discovered a large hole in the wall just inside the entrance. Wanting to make sure that we were not blamed for it I went to the front desk to report it. They said the knew about it but there was no other room to put them in. The offered me breakfast for all of us in both rooms as a compensation which I accepted. When I got into my room 434 I discovered that the air conditioner was making a loud chirping noise that was not conducive to sleep with and the only way to get it to stop was to turn it off. This let the room uncomfortable and also not good to sleep in. I went to see the manager Gary he came and checked it out but because there were no other Deluxe King room available said he would move us the following day. We accepted it and put up with the unacceptable room for what would be one day. The next day we packed up our five suitcases and went to breakfast.

Shuttle service message can be misleading. I got a message from the hotel saying it will be an orange bus. However, we were waiting for 40 mins and didn't see any buses. Finally we saw a grey bus that has a small signage with hotel's name on it. It is also sharing with Best Western. Some travelers with us were also waiting for a while and we all felt the message is confusing as we probably missed the earlier bus.

Room, cost, shuttle service. I was stranded at airport for 2 hours and no shuttle came after contacting hotel also no shuttle was sent. Waited two hours then somehow requested Moxy hotel shuttle which agreed to drop us to Bastion hotel. Terrible service and experience.

Reviewed Sep 10, 2026De kamer was heel erg comfortabel en schoon. Airco werkte ook heel goed en een ruime douche en toilet. In de buurt heb je faciliteiten zoals Macdonalds waar je gemakkelijk in de avond eten kan kopen.
We zijn laat in de avond aangekomen. Dit natuurlijk ook besproken met het hotel. Bij aankomst was er een medewerker van het hotel die de shuttlebus heen en weer rijdt. Het was een beetje onduidelijk waar ik kon parkeren. De medewerker stond met de bus heel lang stil bij de ingang. Ik kon er niet langs rijden om bij de parkeerplaats te komen. na een tijde kwam de medewerker heel chagrijnig naar ons toe om te vertellen dat we wel weg kunnen gaan en het uitzoeken want er is geen plek. Dit was een hele nare ervaring/ontvangst voor ons. Binnen hebben we dit aangegeven aan een medewerker. Hij vond dit ook heel raar en verontschuldigde zich namens het hotel. Ook gaf hij 2 vouchers mee voor een gratis drankje. Ondertussen was de bus weg en gaf hij aan dat ik alsnog kan kijken of er plek is en eventueel ook op de elektrische parkeerplaats mag parkeren. Helaas was er daar ook geen plek, maar heb ik het alsnog ergens kunnen parkeren bij de nooduitgang. Daarnaast niet heel veel opties voor eten en drinken in de avond/nacht.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Very good (buffet) breakfast with plenty to choose from. Shuttle bus easily connects you to Schiphol airport, about 10 minutes ride away. And from Schiphol you can connect nationwide via trains and globally by air. About 30 minutes easy walk to Hoofddorp town centre.
One night, picked up smell of weed (marijuana). Smell was strong in bathroom, so I figured out that someone may have been smoking weed from room below mine. My room was on 5th floor. Keep the double windows closed to block noise from aeroplanes leaving the airport.

Very poor Customer Service. I arrived at the hotel around 10:30pm. The person at the reception that checked me into the hotel had a nonchalant attitude. No greeting, no eye contact. Was questioning my title in my booking because this was not in my passport. Just handed me the card without further instruction. There was an awful smell in the bathroom when I entered. The right hand side sink in the room was blocked. The toilet roll was a quarter. The water pressure was not great. No drinking water in the room. Would I stay in the hotel again. YES, once the above observations are rectified.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Comfortabele bedden en een goede ligging voor reizigers die via Schiphol vliegen. De transferservice van het hotel is stipt en comfortabel. Goede bedden en een nette badkamer.
Hoewel er netjes gepoetst was, waren er toch enkele erg stoffige oppervlakken (vb. het bureaumeubel). De badkamer en het bedlinnen waren beiden wel echt proper. Ik heb tijdens mijn verblijf amper personeel gezien, wat het hotel wel wat verlaten deed aanvoelen.

Reviewed Aug 29, 2026It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We arrived at the settlement at 23:30 with a small child. And at the reception, we were told that our reservation was canceled because they made some mistake when paying for the room, which I was not informed about. And the room that I booked turns out to be no longer available. They offered a completely different one, which was not very suitable for us with a small child, but we had to agree because everyone was already tired and wanted to sleep. When we entered the room, it was very dirty, and nuts were lying under the bed. This is not acceptable and completely unsanitary😡 Our child is also allergic to nuts. I do not recommend this hotel!!

ja wat kon beter, alles was naar tevredenheid ondanks er geen parkeer plaatsen meer vrij waren en ze ons vroegen om elders te parkeren tegen betaling gelukkig vonden we nog een plekje maar ik vond niks tegenvallen

Prenotato per 2 adulti e 1 bambino, la camera aveva solo 2 letti, quando riferito in reception hanno risposto che non hanno stanze con 3 letti e hanno proposto di usare un lettino da campeggio. In breve l'hanno portato in stanza lasciando a noi lenzuola per preparare il lettino. Asciugamani con delle macchie giallastre. Di notte ogni volta che qualcuno entrava in una stanza vicina, la porta faceva uno scatto e sembrava entrassero nella nostra stanza. Ristorante caro.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Shuttle bus service to Amsterdam (Schiphol) airport was very effective. I received a very quick and effective response when asking where to meet the shuttle for a ride to the hotel. Passageways looked a bit 'dingy' but the room was great.
Internet was through the TV with a 'broadcast' feature that I could not get to work. Every 30 minutes or so the TV would shut down requiring it to be re-opened to restore internet. I could not get any TV programs, movies or YouTube. :( Lifts were behind a door that looked very similar to the room doors - I had to ask another guest where to find the lift! They provided a coffee maker but no instructions (in any language) nor did they provide a kettle or tea making facilities. I had my own tea, milk and sugar but no way to heat the water!

Wir sind mit dem Auto und Fahrradträger angereist. Die Parkplatzknappheit am Hotel hat uns am Abend dann doch etwas geärgert. Gerne würden wir reservieren und dafür auch zahlen.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026Nice big rooms , comfy beds and the bath rooms got nice , modern walk in showers . The best thing about this hotel is its location and how easy it is to reach it from Amsterdam airport - the shuttle bus is easy to find and goes straight to the hotel .
It is not vegan friendly and the breakfast is generally poor . The breakfast area is small and there are very few options . There are a few vegetarian options but zero options other than bread and some sad looking fruit for vegans . Really disappointing. The room also didn’t have a kettle so I couldn’t make baby food .

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026Excellent location if you need to go to schiphol. The free bus is great and is there in about 10 minutes. The staff is friendly and the room was clean. The wifi was great.
Best to bring some earplugs with you to reduce the traffic you can hear even with windows closed. Some people were racing bikes around it sounded like.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026Bed en badkamer en personeel was allemaal hartstikke goed. Ondanks dat het dicht bij Schiphol ligt en toch wel een industriegebied is, was het snachts lekker rustig. Ik kon dus uitgerust op reis.
Als ik het kaartje (sleutel) gebruikte waardoor her licht aan kon, begon er een enorme herrie te ontstaan. Ik heb dus alles zonder licht gedaan en de volgende ochtend doorgegeven. Ik had het uiteraard ook al bij aankomst kunnen melden maar dat vond ik niet perse nodig. Dit was het enige nadeel.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Stayed overnight at the schiphol Bastion beds were fantastic. Had a welcome drink at the bar. Rooms clean and very quiet. This morning took the shuttle with driver Tjander . Very friendly and on time to perfection

Reviewed Jul 23, 2026Self check in and out, very fast. Comfortable bed. Very close to the airport but can’t hear any planes , good isolation.
The bathroom could be a little cleaner. If you’re coming late at night from somewhere you could have trouble finding a parking space.

Segun la hora que llegas no hay shuttle gratis y el pago del taxi fueron casi 30€ desde el aeropuerto que está a 3km... Por otro lado nos encontramos con mucha suciedad en las zonas comunes por ejemplo dentro del ascensor botellas vacias tiradas y lo mismo por fuera.

공항 주변에서 무료주차 가능한 곳을 찾아 갔는데, 1층이 너무 어수선한 분위기에 리셉션 직원이 다른 일도 같이 하고 있어서 찾아갈 때마다기다려야 했습니다.
