This one was brilliant to stay in I also stayed in the one in Bristol which was quite nice too the location of that one was herbicide which was quite nice to
Not enough towels
Very good breakfast with fresh items and plenty of choice. No cooked foods but that suits me.
Nothing to dislike
Not a lot
The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The staff were rude and aggressive towards me and my friends for no reason whatsoever. Refused to accept my booking was for 3 people despite me showing them all the booking confirmations. Wouldnt let me in my room for over an hour. Seemed to be accusing us of doing something but couldn’t tell what. Followed my friend to the room and held the door open while they used the toilet. An absolute disgrace. Avoid like the plague.
Just passing through Newport and needed a bed for the night so it was cheap and almost cheerful.
Nothing really
Always clean and good value for money
Parking for disable. You should enforce only blue badge park in them
It was a nightmare! The room, shower, and toilet were not clean at.
Immaculately clean and well run budget hotel. Very good breakfast and friendly, helpful staff.
Close to cardiff air conditioned clean comfortable not the nicest of rooms but great to sleep in and staff were really nice and friendly 😁
Location was good for work
Breakfast overpriced and confusion with staff.
Das Zimmer war sauber und zweckmäßig. Kostenloser Parkplatz. Gutes Frühstück.
Zimmer klein, aber zweckmäßig für eine Zwischenübernachtung.
Very cheap room, very bad
A comfortable disabled friendly room with an entrance suite wet room.
One of the light switches over the bed didn't work. No shower gel was provided.
Nice for a nights stay budget style
Very.basic room and facilities
Great value & very handy location
Nothing bad - bit of road noise but to be fair it's close to the M4 . Good windows block out most of the noise
It was good value for money, separate room for toilet.
We found hair on the bed. Shower kind of in the room.
Breakfast
Small low toilet
I understand it’s a budget hotel but the surrounding area looked really unsafe and not clear where the entrance was and looked really unkempt.
The room was a lot tiny then I expected.. the toilet was like a child toilet.
Economico e facile da raggiungere.
Stanze microscopiche, ma per una sola notte non ci sono problemi.

Good location and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
It is a really basic hotel, but the clue is in the name of the hotel - budget. It was perfect for our needs - a one night stay over to break up a journey but it certainly did have a budget feel.
Excellent customer service 👏🏼
All good 👍🏽
Woke up with all bites
Bites
Good location and free parking
Abit smelly!
Room was spotless and bed very comfy breakfast was ample and good selection staff very helpful
Near motorway, welcoming friendly staff, good price.
Nothing
Clean room
Breakfast could have included other options such as sausage and bacon.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Good location and convenient for a short business stay.
It was Basic, but after a long drive from Berlin, I needed a good nights sleep. Bed was clean and Comfortable and that was all I needed. Perfectly placed Hotel for access to collect my new passport the next day. Young Lady was Very Helpful, down to earth and polite. The Hotel served its purpose perfectly for my requirement and at that price, nobody should complain.
It was a very warm night. We had to sleep with the window open. Thank goodness we were extremely tired after our journey or we would never have slept under normal circumstances with the traffic noise outside. It was extreme and very loud traffic noise prevented our desired lay in. However, on a normal day when you could sleep with the window closed wonderfully. As I said previously,
It had working air conditioning when it was very hot and was otherwise cheap, cheerful and good value for money.
Location and bed
Toilet was too low Would prefer table chair
A fridge would have been great Staff very pleasent and very helpful.
Nothing really
Nothing
The rooms were filthy the floors were sticky. Shower wasn’t cleaned properly, you could see hair from someone else’s use. We were traumatise the whole night, I’ve attached a photo of what was all over the bed.
The staff were ever so lovely and kind. The location is amazing for day trips. It is really quiet. The room with the bunk bed was a hit with our daughter.
Nothing. We loved our stay here and will be back.
Didn't have breakfast as its quite expensive for what I would have had. I only have toast and coffee. So cheaper to go out..
The way the managerwss spoke to my partner. He came inside and said goodmorning. To b told ciuld u do ure shirt up on the hottest day of the year. She was just trying to i.press the other staff on duty. Showing her authority. We were not impressed when we hot to put up with matiguana being smoked outside our bed room window.and stinks the room out. To b told please see a member of staff to move them on.that was this manageress answer.not good enough 😞 sorry.
everything was comfortable and clean, couldn't wish for better.
The Wet room floor stayed wet after a shower even the next morning, was treading in water all the time.
All good. Value for money
Plastic cover on bed.
Friendly staff
Car park was difficult to find
Good bed, room is alright.
The toilet, slight smell.
Clean and great air conditioning
The aircon in the room. Quiet. Friendly staff.
Price could be lower but I think booking directly could be cheaper?
Cena
Ciasny pokój mało miejsca jak na 3 osoby
Easy to get to and very good price
Room was small the toilet and shower if like me u have a bit weight then its a struggle
The staff were very polite and helpful, explaind everything in detail. Room was spotlessly clean . Also was able to make tea in the room. Excellent.
Found the pillows were very hard
The staff stood out the most. They were so welcoming and I have to say some of the friendliest I have encountered! It was definitely value for money, we have been back since, and will go again 😊
There was nothing we didn’t like, it was perfect for what we needed! Location wasn’t the best and it lacked facilities but we were looking for something last minute and cheap in that very area so we were very pleased with what it offered
£62 for the night. Clean room and bedding. Free car park, friendly staff. Ideal.
It's a budget hotel (a means to an end) , but what made my experience an outstanding one was the gentleman on reception (Tom) What a lovely and knowledgeable guy. A credit to the company for sure. This is my second stay to an Ibis and both times I have been blown away by the tentative and friendly staff. Excellent experience 🙏
Nothing... Had a lovely stay
Easy access M4 E & W
Small TV because of its location from the bed
I wish I had had time to read Bella's review below as it is spot on. I knew as soon as I walked through the doors I had made a terrible mistake. The corridor carpets are dirty /grubby and smell strongly of dirty smelly feet. My room smelled of a mixture of urine and damp. The toilet is very low down and you feel you are in a tiny damp cupboard.. The bed looked clean but felt very hard and by then I was honestly too scared to take my shoes off. Everything about this hotel felt disgusting. I had to attend a meeting and returned quite late. There were people hanging around the hotel late in the evening that led me to believe this hotel is used in questionable ways. I checked out and did not stay the night. These rooms ought to be priced at no more than £45 per night. I do not recommend The previous ibis response to 'Bella': As an ibis Budget hotel, our rooms are designed to provide simple, functional accommodation at an affordable price. The room layout, bedding and bathroom configuration are part of the ibis Budget concept. This is not a true reflection. These rooms are terrible and are not priced to reflect the standard. The whole place need a complete refurb and deep clean.
Ease of llocation
Bed was comfy and ac which is needed in this heat
Bathroom wasnt in a separate area, you walk out the shower straight into the bedroom. It's not bad just not to my liking
Staff
The room was very small, and the price was overpriced for the prison cell and cupboard toilet.
Just off the motorway. ¹Staff were very good.
Sink drain blocked.
Lovely room. Compact and easy to locate our clothes.
Air conditioning Clean room - but not done every day .The Indian lady was lovely and very good but not there every day ?
The temperature of the water in the shower was toooooo Hot / boiling !- not adjustable - despite settings Was not fixed by the maintenance man :( The front 'garden' was covered in unsightly litter / old toilet role ect ... Staff should clean / tidy the front of the building regularly + being able to access via the front would be good - save having to walk all the way around to the entrance ....
It had working air con on a hot day, most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was good and it was clean. The room colours were calming.
There was no carpet in the room, which made it feel like an institutional room rather than a hotel, the shower opened right into the room and was not only awkward to use, but splashed so much water into the room it was a safety hazard. Batteries in the remote died so we had to unplug the tv to switch it off. There was a “greenwashing” notification in the room - claiming to be about the environment and written in rather rude and unwelcoming terms suggesting it’s more about minimising expenses to maximise profit while claiming it’s for the environment. The corridors were drab, dated and smelt musty. It was incredibly overpriced for what it was.
Very central location, quick and easy to check in. We had all the basic amenities we needed such as A/C, kettle and toiletries. Staff were welcoming and happy to help with the local sites.
Parking is on a first come first serve basis the gates around the parking compound are ruined and does not give a sense of confidence to leave your car overnight. Leaky A/C on the final night which created puddles on the floor. Which was ashame especially during a heat wave. Sink failed to drain. The elevator needs some touch ups and general issues such as flooring which needs a mop and wall boards which have seen their years.
Buffet was very nice, rooms were nice and clean.
Clean, tidy, quiet location
N/A
Definitely budget & no frills, in a twin roomfor 2 nights. one bed wasnt clean but the other was good, just me & the room was v reasonable, I was there for work. The following week though it doubled in price to match other hotels of a higher standard so went elsewhere. By M4 exit so convenience & budget won the first time. There are other places for the same price with better furnishings etc
The lady at rhe reception lend me her charger when I lost mine.
After coming out of the elevator, the rug on the corridor is dirty and it smells. My bedsheets has some little permanent stains.I had pizza that evening and God knows what was in the pizza,I was itching after eating some few slices. I asked the receptionist if there were nuts in it? She said no maybe if was reacting to the pepperoni. I didn't asked for pepperoni, I asked for meat feast pizza?d not have value for my money.
Desk staff are brilliant. So friendly and warming
Cleaners knocking on the door way before check out time
Quiet location and easy to get to
No bar or rest room
Functional, clean and good staff
Staff were excellent. Kind, helpful, etc. room had Aircon which is unusual but very necessary right now. It was also very quiet considering it's right by the ring road/motorway.
It's a bit of a faff to get to... You have to turn right across 3 lanes of traffic and then follow a road that could be more well marked (if you can't see the big building). Bed was meh but I loath that type of mattress.
Friendly Staff
Insuffucient Parking space.
No separate bathroom
The welcome i got and the service that I needed
That it was open 24/7
First daytime staff great, clan and functional
night staff a bit ignorant
It definitely lived up to the name of Budget but for the amount of time we were in there, it was ok.
There were dust bunnies so the floor could have done with a better clean. There was also food splatters on the wall. Oh and the door key didn’t open the main door when we returned.
Good location, walking distance from the station and easy to find
Property looked a bit dated from outside but very clean and tidy inside
It was quiet It was affordable Tea/coffee in room Cleanliness
Had to go ask for a TV remote after spending half an hour searching for it. Access/directions to the car park, a bit confusing when arriving tired, late at night and it's dark. Banged my head twice on the overhead bunk bed.
Very good, clean, friendly staff. Good, plentiful breakfast.
The location is outside the city, but not too far from the city center or the central train station.
Good comfy bed and serviceable shower/toilet. Fine for one night for a quick stop over.
It was on the outskirts of town and adjacent to busy on ramp
Ideal location for Access to Cardiff, staff were very friendly and welcoming
Room was a little clinical almost felt like a hospital stay
Excellent staff
Bed was comfy - best sleep I’ve had in weeks
We booked a twin room for after a concert in Cardiff - was cheap and we soon found out why! Very weird room layout - very low toilet, the shower is literally in the room, u have to step out the shower into the bedroom, there’s no separate bathroom, the sink is in the bedroom. Bed was comfy though and room clean. Location - DO NOT WALK FROM HOTEL TO TRAIN STATION OR VICE VERSA AFTER DARK - VERY UNSAFE. UNDERPASSES ARE OCCUPIED BY UNDESIRABLES! Taxi cost £10. Train to Cardiff 15 mins, quick and easy.
Did what we needed it for but if your a contractor then this place is for you
Rooms felt bit prison cell
Our room was very clean and comfortable. Even though we were next to a dual carriageway you couldn't hear it at all and the room had air conditioning which we weren't expecting. A great base for traveling into Cardiff.
We travelled in a van and had to park in a separate area which looked decidedly dodgy. Would have felt more secure if it was fenced. But, having said that, we had no issues.
Friendly staff
Our room smelled of sewage.
Clean and easy.
Conveniently near town
Having booked in I went out for a couple of hours, leaving on the air conditioning. I got back and the unit had leaked, water all over the floor. The receptionist was abrupt and irritable as she said it was because it was hot. That’s why I left it on. Apparently other guests had also complained. She asked me what I thought she could do. I suggested maintenance or at least a mop and bucket. Eventually she got me a new room. No apologies, just a threat that as I appeared annoyed she would do nothing. Customer service nil.
Courtney on reception was so helpful and polite . Room was clean and for a budget hotel it was okay. Breakfast was good
Smell on floor 2 was rancid! Air con not brilliant
Room had everything we needed and they were happy to supply extra tea/milk at reception which is always nice. Room could do with a bit of a refurb as it was a bit dated decor wise but overall, it was clean and had everything you could want from an ibis budget.
Handy location to the M4 , about a 30 min walk to the train station. Check in process smooth. Room basic and small but comfortable and clean. Tea and coffee provided, soap dispenser Secure car park
No hand towels left out only bath towels Soap dispenser top faced the wall so difficult to access the soap to wash hands Only 1 pillow per person
The staff were very helpful. We were able to check in early. The mattress was great. The shower was powerful.
Not easy to access on foot from the railway station, but a short taxi ride st £7 was fine.
the aircon
Excellent shower. Friendly and helpful staff.
Strange smell in the corridors.
Receptionist was most helpful
Air con dripping
Room was clean, good towels, air con was working, thankfully. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful. Ample car parking. I chose this hotel as the price was reasonable.
Did not expect to have a room meant for disabled; I had asked for two beds and there was only a kind of sofa bed that was not made up but receptionist kindly brought in bed linen and made the bed up, but it was not comfortable. During the night, the air con system dripped water on to my friend's suitcase which lay underneath; fortunately she had put a plastic bag on top of it so there was no damage, but I reported this to reception. The floor of the bathroom needs a non-slip mat as it was very, very slippery and we had to tread carefully. The security cords were hanging low and I unfortunately set off the alarm in the evening by only brushing past it. We were told at reception that "that often happened." It was not easy to find the hotel as we did not know the area and did not have satnav, and went round in circles asking several people before we eventually got there. It was a bit in the middle of buildings, though I have seen Ibis hotels elsewhere that are clearly visible from a distance.
Friendly staff. Room clean and quiet. Free parking. Air conditioning.
Nothing.
Nothing Refund received 6 days after checking in and out
Everything Dirty bedding I pillow for 2 single beds Room like a prison cell Dirty Left within 30 mins of checking in
Free WiFi
The bed had 2 very thin mattresses on top of each other, and unfortunately we realised in the morning it had bed bugs! Light in panel on wall that could not be turned off at night, so no sleep. Toilet is in the smallest of rooms and the toilet is tiny and very low to the ground. Sink and shower in sleeping area. Very dirty and needs decorating.
Clean , friendly stuff
We stayed here as we were visiting family in the area. As soon as we stepped into the room we knew we had made a mistake in booking here. It looks like a prison cell. It hasn’t even got a proper mattress, it is 2 very thin mattresses on top of each other! I had to go out and buy pillows I didn’t want to sleep on the ones provided. And the toilet!! It’s in a cupboard!! And it is so low down it’s like a child’s toilet in school!! Ridiculous!! Awful place, do not book her….and budget at £87!! I’ve stayed in many a cheaper but nicer hotel than this.
I liked the breakfast
This hotel is situated in a way that if you are on foot you have to go around the hotel to enter from the parking side because they don't allow you to come in from the street side, so it's a lot of extra walking every time you get back to the hotel... The air conditioning wasn't working wasn't working correctly... You couldn't said the temperature so on the morning you were freezing because that's the lowest temperature .. the heating option didn't work...
Room was good for our need and clean
Staff very friendly
Unable to use shower...no grips on wall to prevent slipping and falling.
