Convenient location. Breakfast ok but quite basic. Room was well equipped if a bit dated. Laundry facilities were great and free!

We checked in at midnight and the fellow was very friendly. The suite on the 2nd floor was very spacious and has an amazing ocean view. The bed was very comfortable plus if you required it, there’s a Murphy bed in the living room. The kitchen is a plus as well. There’s a large L shaped balcony with chairs. In the morning, the sunrise shining over the ocean was amazing. We absolutely enjoyed the large included breakfast! Eggs, sausages, toast, cereals, yogurt, fruit………………and more. We highly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Campbell River. Oh yes, and there’s plenty of parking. They have a parkade, outside parking and parking across the street.

Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Location is great. Price is very reasonable. Kitchen facilities are adequate.

Parking outside is limited and can be very congested . Inside parking is okay but noise from the door opening early or late at night is problematic for quest rooms adjacent to the entrance.

A little more cleaning would be nice, not terrible but it could be improved upon.

Electric switch cover plates taped in place, broken lamp shades, I got a spray cleaner and rag from the supply room in the basement because the bathroom cabinet was sooooo dirty, YUCK! View from the deck was gross. (See picture) the deck/ patio even had a broken screen propped on it. It would be relaxing to sit on the deck and have a well maintained view. Even old torn jeans/ litter below the deck. Stairwell had dirt and cereal pieces the two days we were there. Obviously not vacuumed on WEEKS or MONTHS. Old furnishings that are all scratched. Time to thin out the crowded old furnishings.

The location was good, right next to Highway 19A and about a 5-minute drive from the town centre. 50th Parallel was also nearby. The building itself had a lot of character. Our room was spacious, more like a studio. It had a living room with a sofa and balcony, a separate bedroom with a comfortable bed, a bathroom with a tub, and a kitchen with a cooker, microwave, kettle, and fridge. The room and bathroom were clean, and there was lots of storage space. There was indoor parking (spaces were limited, though), with additional parking available outside. The hotel elevator also provided access to the garage. Laundry facilities were available, although only during specific times. The staff were helpful, polite, and friendly. Breakfast was included, but we did not try it as we always left for our trips before breakfast was served, so we cannot comment on it.

The place was a bit rundown and the decor was dated. The kitchen was missing some basic items such as plates, cutlery, and glasses. While the room itself was clean, the kitchen cupboard was dirty inside. The room was a bit noisy. There was a connecting door to the adjacent room, and we could hear every single word. We could also hear snoring from another floor. When we arrived, nobody was at the reception desk, and there was no phone number to call. A card was also needed to enter the reception area, which was problematic when nobody was there to answer the buzzer.

The chairs on the sundeck need to be changed. They are cheap and not sturdy which makes them dangerous, Someone is going to get hurt as they bend and will break.

Room was clean but when we pulled back the bed the sheets hadn’t been changed. Then sheets were delivered for us to make the bed. No one came to pick up the dirty sheets till we asked the next evening.

I have stayed here a few times. Lots of hotels in Campbell River are older without AC. August can be very warm, AC is a treat for those warm days. The unit in my room was excellent and whisper quiet. Bed was excellent

Parking is a bit tricky. Only a little exterior parking is available and inside in the garage. Great for security, but a little cramped. If you have a smaller car, it’s awesome. Little mini fridge and tiny freezer was really there but frosted beyond use. Couldn’t freeze my ice packs. Needs some attention

The breakfast was decent, and the room was spacious. The bed was a good balance of firmness and softness.

La propreté laisse largement à désirer : crasse sur le sèche cheveux et sur le haut de la baignoire. Les "coins" ne sont pas nettoyés ex la salle de bain. Chambre très spacieuse mais qui mériterait un sérieux rafraichissement et un ménage de fond en comble. Rideau arraché. Le petit déjeuner n'est vraiment pas très bon. Le beurre, confiture et beurre de cacahuètes dans 3 ramequins séparés et tout le monde qui se sert dedans, ce n'est vraiment pas hygiénique.

The location is perfect for our one night layover and the pricing is affordable. Also, updated the rooms with individual heat pumps. The rooms were clean and comfortable enough.

Property is dated, parking was limited, had to park on road. No elevator, bad for seniors. Breakfast hours need to be displayed or explained to guests, as there was different hours on weekends and weekdays. Property could be beautiful, needs a big hug!

We really enjoyed the location of the property, close to ammenities and the seawalk. The breakfast had a nice variety and was a great way to start our day.

The room was quite dated, with different accessories falling apart. There was very limited parking and we had to park on the street. The rooms have very little soundproofing and we could hear our neighbours clearly.

The hotel changed hands a few years ago and there was a definite dip in cleanliness and organization, however they have really stepped up their game with improvements, upgrades and housekeeping. Rooms are cleaner, breakfast buffet simple but well done, and the new addition of A/C in the rooms really appreciated. I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the past 8 or so years.

The breakfast room gets really warm with the morning sun, but customers can eat outside on a patio.

Central location in CR, suited us well. Staff were all extremely helpful, obliging and efficient. Underground parking was very good. Coffee at breakfast was good. Nice and quiet in the hotel at all times.

Kann man machen, von dem her OK. Ich würde aber kaum mehr 2 Nächte bleiben. Zum Übernachten und am anderen Tag weiterfahren ist es aber OK. Das Frühstück Buffet reicht völlig aus, es kommt aber darauf an, wer gerade zuständig ist. An beiden Morgen war es sehr unterschiedlich weil verschiedene Leute das Frühstück vorbereiten hatten.

Es stinkte im Zimmer was nicht so angenehm war. Lüften war schwierig, da es draußen eher laut war. Beim Frühstück unbedingt schauen, ob das Geschirr sauber ist, leider mussten wir mehrere Sachen direkt zum schmutzigen Geschirr rüber legen obwohl es frisch gewaschen wurde.

Great location on coastal highway just outside Campbell River. Our room was upgraded to a suite. Free washing machine and dryer was really helpful. Hot breakfast included. Furnishings a bit tired but expected for the reasonable price.

Not enough carparks to service the hotel and had to park on the busy road opposite the hotel. People smoking on balconies despite signs everywhere. The room was quite old and dated feeling.

The room was cute and had a little kitchen with utensils. You can actually cook in the space. The room was like a little apartment. It was really comfortable stay.

The door between rooms only locked one way. Kinda creepy to think about. Both doors should be locked. There is parking onsite, but we needed up parking on the road because there wasn't enough room for all the guest vehicles onsite.

Bathroom door couldn't be closed properly without it completely jamming, requiring staff to make temporary fix. However, the duty staff were helpful in doing this. It needs repairing & if not, a notice to warn users. Tired decorations in need of renovation. Dusty smell. Balcony furniture old & dirty. Breakfast very poor with no tea, orange squash not orange juice & little choice of decent food options. We gave breakfast a miss after the first morning.

It’s antiquated which I thought made it very homey. Some would think it’s outdated but that’s what I liked about it.

Overall, very attractive, clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We appreciated the decor, artworks and amenities, also that we could bring our pet. And, of course, lovely views of Discovery Passage and Cape Mudge.

Sadly, the breakfast had run out of food just before we arrived at 7:00am; the breakfast room was understandably busy. We were surprised in the evening to discover there were no wine glasses in the room's kitchen, an easy must-have for a boutique hotel. The balcony needed some attention (screen door) and cleaning (chairs).

Zimmer Ok. Leider war unser Zimmer total dunkel, da im hinteren Bereich des Hauses und von hohen Hecken, nah am Haus, umgeben. Kein Zimmerservice. Nur nach Abreise werden die Zimmer gereinigt. Das einfaches amerikanische Frühstück ist OK. Kostenlose Waschmöglichkeit immer am Nachmittag. Sehr nettes, hilfreiches Personal. Parkplatz unter dem Haus.

Der Balkon war kaum nutzbar. Dunkel, keine Aussicht. Die defekte Insektenschutztür lag einfach auf dem Balkon und zu den beiden Plastikstühlen gab es keinen Passenden Tisch.

Convenient location to the beach. Could see the cruise ships sailing at night. Large space, big enough for three or more people. Huge living room and dining room.

Very small kitchen. Did not clean the rooms each day. We spilled juice on the bed the first night and went to ask for clean sheets to be put on. They literally handed the sheets to my wife and she had to change them herself. They did not take the dirty sheets from the room either. Older hotel, could use a good cleaning. No instructions were given for getting into your rooms once the parking garage was closed for the evening. You could only access the top floor through the parking garage. Not enough parking for the amount of guests that they have. Either had to park on the streets or across the busy highway.

Lovely clean and pleasant hotel a few kms from town. Excellent breakfast and value for money. Would definitely stay again.

It is a small request but I would have liked plain yogurt as a breakfast choice instead of the flavoured yogurts.

Good location for the activities we had planned. Room was large. Cheap price.

Old, smelled musty and like old cigarette smoke. Dirty carpets, mystery stains on furniture, walls were dirty with cobwebs in corners, no screens on windows, dishwasher was still loaded with dishes from previous people, garbage can still had garbage from previous people, booked for 3 people only had 2 towels. 1.5 rolls of toilet paper for 3 people for 3 nights. Only one staff member was friendly and helpful. Always had to call to get assistance no one was ever at the front desk. Front door and parking garage were always open during the day,Not great for security when no one is by the desk. Elevator had no security measures at all! Breakfast was mediocre at best.

This room was much better than our previous one. Less mechanical noise at night and the new bed was much more comfortable.

There was a large group of Lotus drivers there during our stay. It is unavoidable really but we could not find a place to sit for Sunday breakfast so just took coffee and orange juice to our room. Not a big deal.

We enjoyed our stay in a one bedroom suite at the Heron's Landing. The staff are very friendly, and helpful. The spacious suite was clean, with a well equipped kitchen, and excellent WiFi. There is plenty of free parking, and access is easy, there are great views over the sound, and lovely coastal walking. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of cereal, and other provisions, including cooked options. We would happily stay at this hotel again, and can only assume the very negative reviewers have mistaken these premises for somewhere else.
