The bed sheets were dirty and not stripped from the previous client Floor was dirty with stains on the floor

The motel is basic but comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the room was comfortably equipped.

The toilets are very low - hard on our elderly knees, but the bathroom was clean so it's a small quibble.

Great location, big rooms

The location was perfect. Its on a sorta busy road but still quiet - especially at night. Clean room. The beds were comfortable. Good fridge and microwave. Good water pressure. We had an upstairs room - very nice. The upstairs sidewalk/balcony was a great place to sit out in the evening and enjoy the view.

Tiny closets. Weak bathroom fan. We were diving - there wasn't a great way to hang up gear to drip as the shower rod wasn't nearly strong enough to support wet gear. But we managed it OK with a plastic bin in the closet

the staff was great, the manager stored my bike for me while I did a mini-trip. the parking lot is big enough to park, turn around etc. the location was also convenient. they also gave me a kettle on request.

The room was great but it could sure use a deep clean, dusting baseboards, cleaning out guest drawers of tissues etc. Also, the mattress was inside some kind of synthetic envelope that made the beds really noisy when you moved at all in bed. it also made the beds hot. I really didn't like that. the kettle they loaned me didn't open properly so it had to be pried open which could scald you if you aren't careful.

Not cleaned well at all. Hairs and dust everywhere in the room. Not egregious but still present. I mean. 2 star specialty. $184 is an asinine price for this motel.

Das Zimmer war ordentlich ausgestattet, zwei Betten im guten Zustand und alles war sehr sauber.

Zum einen ist es extrem laut von der Straße her, außerdem hatten wir die ganze Nacht ein Problem damit, dass ständig die Wasserspülung lief, über uns, neben uns, wo auch immer. Das nächste Thema war der Kühlschrank, der extrem laut war, den Stecker wollten wir auch nicht ziehen, da das Eisfach total vereist war und dann am nächsten Morgen das Zimmer unter Wasser gestanden hätte. Eine große Katastrophe ist auch das WLAN, wir hatten Zimmer 30, ganz am Ende vom Gang, wir sind permanent aus dem Internet geworfen worden. Das, was man für das Zimmer zahlen muss, steht in keinem Verhältnis zur Qualität und dem was geboten wird.

Il motel di trova a qualche km dal centro ed è una delle soluzioni più economiche in zona (nonostante il prezzo non sia proprio contenuto). Le camere sono semplici e andrebbero sicuramente rinfrescate, il livello di pulizia discreto, abbiamo dormito bene. Nel complesso è una buona soluzione anche se il prezzo secondo me rimane elevato per gli standard offerti.

The stairway had a weird little step that caught you evrytime. And at the bottom a weird step, very well marked but caught most of us.

Loved having the ocean right across the highway and having a clear view of cruise ships passing by! The price for one night was very reasonable!

TV was not new enough to connect to a Wii U so we could display it on the TV.

What breakfast? If there was breakfast we were not advised.

The stairs to the upper floor have a raised edge ( half inch) at the top. Deadly tripping hazard. I advised management.

Place looked decent online, however there was not any pictures of the rooms. There is a reason for that. The interiors are dated, end tables look as though they were purchased at a swap meet. 24" tv with like three channels working a numerous with subscription required. Beds are older and rough shape. Dirty behind anything that is requires to be moved for cleaning. Overhead bathroom light had water running out of it in the morning, used most of the towels to clean it up. Placed a waste can under it to catch water. Room had a musty smell. This place on the outside looks rustic and it truly is rustic inside and out. Will not stay here again. Office is open 9am-9pm so could not advise the owner of the leak. Hopefully they figured it out.

The view is amazing. It is waterfront. Close to a lot of places.

The room is outdated and quite has the old building smell. It's good for just an overnight stay. I feel like the cost is not worth the quality of the experience. But it's the cheapest and the only available in the area.

The freezer was a solid block of ice, so no room for our ice packs. (and also dripped all over our food in the fridge!) The top of the fridge was covered in cold coffee from a previous guest who had obviously overflowed the coffee pot, but it had not been wiped up. The WET rolled up rubber mate was in a plastic basket with the hair dryer! The hair dryer (and plug) was wet from sitting in the water run-off from the rubber mat!!!

Beds were clean but one of the bath towels had obviously already been used (had dirt spots all over it) and the tub was grimy with hairs in it.

We konden eerder inchecken, we waren redelijk vroeg. De kamer is groot en de bedden zijn comfortabel. Er is een koelkast op de kamer en je kunt koffie zetten. Helaas geen waterkoker. Prima motel voor 1 of 2 nachten op doorreis.

Ik vond de kamer niet zo schoon. De handdoeken waren heel dun. De kamer wordt tussendoor niet schoongemaakt, tenzij je een week blijft. Je moet zelf handdoeken en toiletpapier vragen bij de receptie. Ik had meer verwacht voor het bedrag dat je betaald.

This is a smoking motel. Everyone smokes in the rooms and near the windows, making it impossible to breathe normally, even though it says no smoking everywhere. It's not quiet at night; shouting and loud conversations can be heard all night. The manager is very rude, saying that if you don't like something, take your things and get out of there. My friend and I didn't sleep all night. It's a shame such a reputable website as Booking.com provides service for this hotel.

The cleaning staff knocked AND tried to enter before we even had time to properly wake up to answer (it was 8:03) The TV only had one working channel. We stayed there a week before and the microwave didn't work.

There was no continental breakfast but would love to see there. Good ocean view, good location. We brought our own breakfast. We used the microwave and had cups of coffee.

The location was good, traffic noise was a bit loud a times. But enjoyed that the ocean was directly across the road !!

If the couple that couldn't handle their alcohol didn't wake us up at 12:30 am with their fighting and arguing . Thankfully their were gone the next day .

The staff was very friendly and let us check in early (about 1:30 pm) The beds were quite comfortable, and the bedding smelled freshly laundered (something I have never experienced before in a hitel/motel stay) Given the age of the building, everything was cleaner and in better condition than I would have expected.

The bath towels provided were tiny and thin, and my socks got dirty from walking around on the laminate floor, so it obviously could have been cleaner.

The guy running the front desk was very friendly and easy going! It was nice being right on the ocean too.

The motel is very well reachable and has sufficient parking space. We wanted to stay in the upper floor and could do so upon arriving. The receptionist was very friendly and check in as well as check out was easy.

We weren't pleased with our neighbors (noise) but for a night it didn't bother us that much.

The bedding and towels were clean. The room was in need of a good paint job and the floors needed washing. I do not believe we had maid service as the bed remained unmade, nor the room tidied during our two night stay.

Motel comodo situato un lontano dal centro ma di fronte al mare, vista magnifica nuvole permettendo, ampio parcheggio gratuito. struttura esternamente un po datata, camere interne molto belle, letti grandi e comodi, bagno ampio, buona la doccia. tv e frigorifero disponibile in camera. accanto al motel benzinaio per un caffè e colazione veloce.

The motel is right on the road, with lots of late night and early morning traffic. Had to sleep with the window open as the air conditioner was a unit that only sorta fit into a gap in the window, the pipe kept falling out, and was noisy.

Wir waren für eine Nacht, als Zwischenstation, im Big Rock Motel in Campbell River. Das Zimmer war sauber, komfortabel und gepflegt. Die Klimaanlage und das WLan waren voll funktionsfähig. Parkplätze sind genügend vorhanden, auch für Motorräder. Die Zimmer im ersten Stockwerk sind nicht für Menschen mit Einschränkungen geeignet. Das CheckIn ging schnell, der Mitarbeiter war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen, wenn wir das nächste Mal in Campbell River sind!

All ok, if you don't need room service daily. You can get restocked on tea and TP from the front desk. Plan ahead as the Front desk closes at 10pm.

Room was older than we expected but safe and a good location. Smelled a bit musty but aired out easily. Excellent value for waiting for an early morning kayak departure.

I don't like writing bad reviews but am really feeling uncomfortable staying here due to the condition of the room. The room has seen better days. The bathtub looks filthy, once the smell of nilodour goes away, the smell of urine is very strong. The fridge was leaking so I asked for some rags to put on the floor. The side of the mattress digs into you when you try to get into bed. There are dents in the walls, a lot of chipped paint and rust. There aren't a lot of cars parked in front. If there are better rooms unoccupied I suggest putting guests in those rooms first. This room is not worth over $200 a night after taxes. Our room is poorly maintained.

Good in general. Room is big. There is a bath tub and plenty of hot water to fill it. Staff is very helpful and understanding of the needs of disabled clients. The few things that can be improved are... Hardwood floors are not even, and can be cleaned more often. Internet speed is slow. Yet. I would recommend this place to travelers for one or two nights.

Das Motel war zwar sauber, die Zimmerausstattung jedoch so, als ob sie aus den 60er-Jahren stammte, die Beleuchtung des Zimmers nicht einladend. Dafür waren die Kosten für eine Übernachtung in Höhe von 207,66 Kanadischen Dollar absolut überhöht.

The rooms are clean enough, but they smell of cleaning agents. The odor of the first room was unbearable for me, although some people might not mind the citris smell. The owner was kind enough to move me to another room with less odor. Alas, this room had no deadbolt or even an operable chain on the door (a chair did fit under the door handle--I've never done that before!) and the guests overhead woke me when they walked overhead. Fortunately most guests were quiet but walls and ceilings are thin and the windows rattle. Argh, not good night. The linens are fresh, but the property is a bit run down.
