Renaissance Aix-en-Provence Hotel

N/ a breakfast Location was superb, close to centre and coach + train station. Comfortable rooms, excellent service. Loved the warm outdoor pool in sunny, well kept surroundings.

The room was too cold as the central air conditioning couldn’t be turned off. Wet swimming clothes could not dry in a day.

It was an OK property.

It lacked the French Provençal decor and authenticity. It is given a 5 star, but it was rather a 3 stars property in terms of amenities and decor.

Staff were all excellent. Friendly and attentive. Location is perfect. 10 minute walk into Aix. Valet parking was great. Car brought round in morning of departure without having to ask. Beds are extremely comfortable!

Food and drinks are quite expensive. 8€ for a Coke for instance!

Awesome location, service, pool and room as well as the bed. Everything was perfect.

Dommage, nous étions trois personnes et dans la chambre peignoirs, vaisselle etc étaient pour deux personnes…

The location was ideal. Close to city centre where there were lots of eateries to choose from . But hotel was located in a safe and quiet spot.

Pool did not look clean so we didn’t swim. We sat on the deck however which was nice. Hair dryer was not always working well. Bathroom need fans for steam from showers. Also the underground parking should be provided to guests without cost.

The bathroom was probably the only thing. The shower wasnt easy to use to try and keep the water off the floor.

Not enough staff at breakfast. You could feel they were stressed which made the entire breakfast atmosphere stressy.

Lobby petit et peu convivial le restaurant: personnel dépassé et non réactif avec pour excuse de se rendre à la cave pour trouver une bouteille de vin Bonne qualité du repas mais avec des ruptures: pas de frites ou plus de cookies par exemple et tarif élevé Le petit déjeuner: cher pour l'offre. De plus, impossible de trouver une table à 9h du matin. Aucune aide du personnel donc errance au milieu des tables en attendant une disponibilité.

Gorgeous hotel! Beautiful and spacious room. Great facilities and pool area is ideal for the whole family. Great staff, very friendly and dogs are always welcomed! Walking distance to the gorgeous town centre, with lots of bars and beautiful restaurants.

Le séjour a été gâché par des chambres familiales avec des lits de 140, trop petits pour nous et indignes d’un 5 étoiles. En équipement et décoration c’est un petit 5 étoiles mais le staff est sympa et le coin piscine agréable.

Les chambres sont grandes et confortables. Le personnel est accueillant et disponible. L'hôtel est très bien situé à 5/10 minutes à pieds du centre ville de Aix.

La piscine est un peu petite.

Location was fantastic. Less than 10 mins walk to the centre. Spa and small gym were an added bonus. Family room was large and clean.

Pool was smaller than it appears in pictures. Feels smaller with lots of children and families inside too. Restaurant was nice but expensive, same with the spa treatments.

Staff were attentive and friendly. We were greated with warm smiles and exceptional hosting throughout our stay.

Chambre bruyante vue route au 1er étage pas de peignoir ni de chaussons dans la chambre privilège ! Petit déjeuneur assez médiocre Nous avons du attendre pour avoir notre chambre malgré notre demande, la chambre n'étant pas du tout prête pour 15heures. . Cela à perturbé notre organisation. Aucune excuses de l'établissement et réponse juste lunaire de l'acceuil. Les Portes qui montent du garage a l'ascenseur sont dans un état juste lamentable de saleté. Bref expérience pitoyable

Les chambres sont très spacieuses et propres. L’espace piscine très agréable, avec la possibilité d’y déjeuner.

Les ascenseurs étaient parfois longs à arriver.

Du moisi dans la baignoire. Le spa interdit aux enfants. Parking 30€ / jour Au vu du prix et du nombre d'étoiles je venais chercher du luxe, j'ai était plus que déçue, un sentiment de se faire voler.

La amplitud de la habitación, las zonas comunes muy bonitas. El servicio de aparca-coches muy cómodo y eficaz.

El mal mantenimiento de la habitación, falta una reforma. Juntas ducha negras, no hay toallero de manos, jabón manos rellenado con agua, no han dejado ni una cápsula de Nespresso, tuvimos que pedir. Colchón incómodo, muy viejo, fino y se hunde. Aplique luz de la cama descolgado. Desayuno muy caro (30€) no hay servicio eficaz, no habian mesas para todos y tampoco había tanta variedad. Faltaban platos y vasos continuamente. Por todo ello, considero que no es un hotel de 5 estrellas y no merece la pena.

Nous avions demandé à avoir notre chambre si possible un peu plus tôt . Mais du coup nous l’avons eu après l’heure nous mettant dans une situation compliquée, Pas de peignoirs en chambre ni chaussons moyen pour un 5 étoiles. Logée au 1 er étage très bruyant

Heel erg fijn zwembad, grote schone en moderne kamers, klein stukje wandelen naar het centrum.

The room was quite warm even though we had the AC on full

The beds were great room layout and cleanliness were great. In summer children were not allowed in indoor pool. It was too hot and no one was in inside pool so that was disappointing. The concierge was excellent and booked events for us. The rate was high but amenities were good.

La literie

La salle de bain ne contenait pas de douche à l’italienne mais une baignoire avec des traces de moisissure sur la façade. La piscine n’est pas nettoyée correctement des traces noires sur le bord de la piscine un peu limite pour un 5 étoiles. La salle de sport un peu petite avec un tapis de course HS en plein mois d’août. La disposition de l’hôtel entouré d’immeubles, beaucoup trop de vis à vis.

And since the hotel was basically sold out due to my daughter’s wedding guests stay wing here and most wanted to take showers at the same time , I had NO Hot or warm water to take a shower. I had to take an ice cold shower with monimal pressure. So upsetting. And it happed to most everyone And the AC didn’t work well in the rooms

We had a room facing the swimming pool which was a good size for a city with comfortable bed. It was a bonus to have a swimming pool to cool off in at the end of sight seeing days

Large bedroom but uncomfortable pillows! Good location and efficient and friendly staff.

Apart from the pillows everything else was ok. A variety of things for breakfast but the staff at breakfast needed to be better trained. Tables took a long time to be cleared. Cutlery and dishes were not always available to pick up and had to be asked for. However pool staff were very helpful, organising something for me to eat that wasn’t on the menu.

Uitermate verzorgd en grote kamers, is heerlijk. Zwembad erbij, is iets minder groot dan op de foto, maar je kunt er heerlijk bijkomen, met extra personaal daar aanwezig die oa een bar beheren. Ontbijt te veel om te kiezen. Goed bereikbaar t.o.v. centrum.

Breakfast, same hot breakfast all 4 nights we stayed. I am Marriott member and stayed at numerous properties across the world mainly in US but never seen breakfast repeat like this. More hot food choices would’ve been nice.

Location in Aix is fantastic. All areas very well maintained, spotlessly clean. Staff excellent- always professional, attentive and helpful.

Der Frühstücksraum ist viel zu klein und eng. Die Kaffeemaschinen sind eine Zumutung, das Buffet für ein 5*-Hotel ein Witz. Es fehlt an allem. Auch schon deswegen weil das meiste Personal viel zu langsam und unkoordiniert arbeitet. Von dem „mageren“ Buffet fehlt immer was weil keiner nachfüllt.

It's a decent chain hotel, clean and comfortable, with very friendly staff.

I was disappointed that I asked twice to have the drains in my room's sink cleaned, and only on the third attempt and the following day were the engineers able to find time to fix the problem. Breakfast is quite modest for a hotel of this size. You won't go hungry, but there's no variety.

All staff were very kind and ready to help you. Good food and installations. Thank You Merci

Fantastic hotel with the most accommodating and lovely staff. Breakfast was superb with one of the best continental breakfasts I’ve come across. Great for kids!

Towels and toilet paper were thin and rooms could be cleaned better (mainly floor).

Most of the staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was nice, the room was comfortable, and the location was convenient.

There was no outdoor seating area as the pool area was under construction. I did not think that was well advertised at the time of booking. Although it was not yet summertime the weather was beautiful and it would have been nice to sit and read a book by the pool area. When I expressed disappointment about this at the front desk I was met with a snarky attitude by a staff member and did not receive an apology. This put a negative spin on the stay unfortunately.
