Provider-sourced guest reviews.
All the furniture, bed, sofa bed were very old, hand wash basin had a big crack. Washroom door was out-of-plane with the jamb which prevented it closing. It left open almost 2 inches. We had to struggle to use the washroom. Very much disappointed.
Staff members are very nice and respectful.
Closing hours
Inside room it was ok.
Dirty outside the room.
Middle of the homeless camps.
Bad hood
Although the establishment is on the older side the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Friendly acomodating staff. Clean rooms. Laundry facilities.
Neighbourhood
The beds were comfortable, and the temperature comfortable once we had figured out how to work the air conditioner/heat pump, lots of hot water and nice to have a tub as well as a shower with good water pressure
the stairs are treacherous for seniors IMO, there were no instructions for how to adjust the temperature in the room so our first nite was less comfortable than the second nite, we couldn't figure out how to work the tv
Quiet
The stairs are very trippy, room doesn’t have windows to open or air out so smells like mold.
The staff was awesome she was very nice I didn't take pictures
Oh there was no plug to have a bath
The floor was so dirty and there were big ants on the curtain
Instant coffee available, towels for bathroom, extra blankets.
Homeless people around the area, someone went into our room while we were loading our car. Felt unsafe. Door didn’t lock easily. Not a lot of safety with room doors opening only to exterior of building exposed to public. Asbestos warnings on other room doors. Stains on carpet, bed bugs.
Staff was super friendly and welcoming. The bed was super comfortable.
Place is really outdated. Needs a good paint job and some work done with the pipes. Located in the worse part of Duncan. A lot of street people just hanging around and didn't feel safe
The staff approach was good. The room size is good and the bed is comfortable.
The cleanliness was not upto the standards. The floor was achy and didn't seems to be checked before the room was given to us.
It was near the areas I wanted to visit
Room cleanliness could be better, I had coffee grounds on the carpet
The room smelled stale smoke
Absolutely nothing. It was filthy dirty in the room And the parking lot was full of homeless people
Everything. It was the absolute worst hotel I’ve vet seen. We took one look around and left immediately returned the keys to a lockbox and requested our money back which we were denied. There were homeless people looking through cars in the parking lot and a homeless encampment located directly behind the hotel. This is not a safe place to stay.
The man working at the counter was pleasant
Room was in bad condition Ceiling had significant water damage Fire damage on the building Lots of homeless people in the area
Dirty, run down, burnt unit, loud … could hear everything going on outside your door.
Nice towels...soft, great water pressure, room has fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and place to eat in the room if necessary. Walking distance to Boston Pizza A&W
N/A
Clean, comfortable, good location
Nothing - we had lots of disgusting issues and tried a number of times to contact the owners and zero response. This hotel needs to be shut down and I need to be reimbursed for the nights I paid for and the disgusting trauma I went through!!!
This place needs to be shutdown and condemned ASAP
The room was okay, bathroom good, size okay sheets good. Check in went well.
Stairs , driveway and parking lot needs resurfacing. Scary noises at night. Seemed a bit worn out generally.
Right location
Front desk manager was helpful
Bad sketchy area in Duncan . Homeless and drug dealing around property.
Unfortunately I didn't like anything about the accommodation. The staff was pleasant.
The room was as clean as it could be but very dated. Mold on baseboard in bathroom. A few bugs on the floor in bathroom and main room. There had been a automobile fire that had burned 2 vehicles (suspected arson) so the front of building was charred and laundry room windows broken and boarded up. I was told it is in a "bad" area of town and felt unsafe.
The bed and the room inside was ok.
The building is a mess outside. Weeds everywhere, one unit looked to have had fire damage. Old inconsistent stairs to second level. homeless people hanging around next door, hair in the tub. Didn't use it.
They accommodated a late check in which I appreciated.
Multiple people in surrounding bushes and in main parking lot taking drugs upon arrival.
Sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite und zuvorkommende Person (Chris) an der Rezeption. Lage etwas fragwuerdig da nicht im besten Stadtteil und mit einem Gefuehl von Unsicherheit verbunden.
Die Lage.
Can you imagine trying to sleep while tiny bugs keep crawling on your bed all night? They just kept appearing one after another. The hygiene conditions were unacceptable and left us extremely disappointed. This was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had.
York diner was closed
Location too many homeless
The small kitchenette. Even though it was very outdated and the stove rusted. Everything worked. The bed was large and comfortable Lots of hot water and good water pressure
Dishes could have used another rinse / wash The pull out bed had dirt in the sheets. Looked like bits of leaves or wood?? Location was unfortunate. Near a homeless shelter ( I think) People on the street being sick near the motel.
De kamers zijn brandschoon.
Buitenzijde motel maakt een verpauperde indruk. Deels verbrande gevel. Directe omgeving is vergeven van drugsverslaafden. Liggen met groepen tegelijk rond het motel op de stoep, in portieken enz.
Der var dyr på værelset. Enten mus eller rotte eller lignende.
There were all the cleaning supplies in my room that was booked! Carts, cleaning g supplies, beds were not made.
A paint job would improve room considerably. Lots of homeless/drug addicts in neighbourhood.
Reasonably clean, parking, access.
Monosyllabic reception staff. $200 per room security deposit which took over a week to get removed. On site diner closed, shabby, and looked as if it would never open again. Car park seemed to be the place everyone went to smoke hash which made it quite noisy. Lino floor sticky - shoes on when you get out of bed.
Location was good staff was helpful
All the homeless people one block down
right in middle of both fields we were playing at
a bit close to residents living outside
It was clean and close to many amenities.
The management was understaffed and the door was locked when we checked out. We were told that we would receive our $200 damage fee when we checked out( only after our room was checked for damage.) This could not happen because the office was locked and we had to drop our keys in the box. There was garbage in the parking lot which we suspected was from the homeless who were living in the area.
The rooms were clean
The staff are not on location and there was a party next door. I did not sleep at all and could not report the issue to staff because no one is available on site after 10pm
The sex was second to none. No one complained about us being loud, because we essentially had no neighbors!
There's no daily house keeping, only when you check out does the housekeeping come
The bed was comfortable. The property is within easy walking distance to many restaurants.
The property is run down.
Professional and kind Perfect family accommodations
Nothing could be better
Same as last
Nothing
Clean enough
Drunks squabbling out front most of the night. Doors slamming and junkies in and out all night. I didn’t feel comfortable security wise
Old fashioned motel, quick to get into off the highway like the good old days.
Not the best area of town.
Friendly staff
Hot water was slow in coming.
Location friendliness
Nothing
Nothing as we never went in.
We arrived at the Thunderbird Motor Inn just after 4:00 PM and noticed there were many unhoused people hanging around beside the hotel parking lot and across the street. The lot was void of any other vehicles, a ground floor unit door was open to our left within 20 feet of our vehicle. There were several people in the hotel room that were drinking and open drug use was obvious; the man at the door moved a couple plastic totes and boxes and was drinking. It definitely appeared they were living there and did not look like any luggage was in the room. An unhoused man walked his bicycle past us and went directly to the man at the open room where we watched an apparent drug transaction happen. Within a few seconds another man came down the stairs from the 2nd floor with a massive black eye and beat up looking face. He walked directly by looking aggressively towards us. We immediately decided that this was not a safe location to stay at and risk having our vehicle parked at. As we started to back up another man came out of the open ground floor room and was asking strange questions about our vehicle. We left promptly and drove several kilometers away to find a safe location for our stay.

Yea
Real good saves
Well maintained and easy access to all necessary stores, etc
Had absolutely no problems, but the number of street people in the area was a bit worrying. Also the fact that the restaraunt attached was closed. Ate there lots during a previous stay and found it to be excellent and very handy.
Not a good location. D
For the price we paid got a room close to 3 trash cans and some chairs and table right in front of our door way .Couldn’t close bathroom door completely and soap were quite small hardly able to use it .
Room needed to be redecorated.
Beds were comfortable, medium firm which we like. Rooms were clean. Blackout curtains were very effective at keeping the outside lights out
The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The sheets and towels were clean. There are lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance. Also there is easy access to the major roads.
There was a lack of hot water during our stay. Lukewarm to cold showers are not appreciated after a long night of travel. We booked at this hotel a few years ago and liked it. The room then was overall cleaner (floors, walls) and in better repair than now. The hotel is certainly showing its age. Other patrons were noisy at times. The biggest shame is that the area has gone downhill. There are homeless people, drug addicts everywhere, and a tent city one street over. I realize that is out of the hotel owner’s control, but I would not bring children to this area. I did not walk outside in the area alone either.
The. rooms were clean and spacious, the people working there were very friendly.
Over all the property was well keep
It was close to where I was working, and it was very clean.
There was nothing I personally don’t like. Over all I think the property was well keep.
Just the price point. Room had a blood stain on one of the beds, but we didn't use that one as thankfully we had two queen beds in our room. Staff is friendly, appreciate the housekeeping and the Asian manager.
The property looks creepy AF. The reception STINKS, like I'm not even kidding. Something's wrong with this. To save some $$ we decided to book this one, but holy s***, this place needs help and maybe a health inspector. FYI my body had bed bugs bite.
Ruime kamer, prima bed. Vriendelijk personeel.
The room was ok but the parking lot when I pulled up was disgusting and dirty…homeless people sleeping on ground all around hotel. Didn’t feel safe there at all. When I started the tub the water came out dirty at first which is a pretty big turn off. Won’t stay here again.
Alojamiento que cumple su función para dormir con baño independiente.
una de las habitaciones tenía mal olor
The reception staff was nice and helpful and the room is very clean. For the price it was excellent.
It's located in a strategic area, also next to the homeless. The room floors are not mopped, I had to clean it twice myself. Staff are super friendly and nice
The Thunderbird Motor Inn is old and shows it. Bathtub tax dripped, vanity taps were loose, cleaning was superficial, security minimal. Motel is also in an area where there are many homeless people. They caused no problem for us but it wasn’t a comfortable area to walk. Staff were very helpful and responsive, but there wasn’t much they could do. After we left, my wife discovered her cell phone was missing and we went back to the Motel to see if it had been left there. Staff were very helpful to us as we searched (unsuccessfully) for the phone. We later found it packed in a suitcase (oops) but want to thank the staff (office and cleaning) who helped us look for it.
All good
Friendly staff, clean room, everything as expected.
No breakfast avail
Mouse droppings on our sink counter
Very unsafe neighborhood. Dirty room, toilet that didnt flush. People screaming from the hotel room next to us. We couldn’t even stay had to leave and they wouldn’t refund us the money. We walked in the room and right back out. Awful.
Mouse infested. Droppings all over bathroom sink and countertops.
Average
Clean and Easy to park.
Very quiet at night, hot shower, and it’s down the street from a good skatepark.
The property was not well cared for. The first impression from the office was very dirty and unkept. The first staff is ho checked us in was not presentable and wore dirty clothing. The two good points about it was the price and the bed sheets and pillows were clean.
For the cost this is a great hotel and was clean with comfortable beds
