Everything - the photos are misleading the place is a dump for the money. The floors are filthy, the air conditioner is very loud, they shouldn’t be allowed to call it breakfast - cold cereal and yogurt is your choice with coffee and tea.

This property staff member it name was Eric was so rude and unprofessional I don’t recommend anyone to go for this property.

Access to rooms is via stairs makes it harder with bags.

The location and staff were great and very professional being willing to change our room to a less smoky smelling one.

There was a smoke smell in the hallways from people smoking inside despite all the signs telling them not to.

Industrial area on the far end of town. View from room was fenced off old unkempt parking lot overlooking the highway.

Our room was basic but clean, with a comfortable bed. Being on the ground floor, the view was minimal, but since we weren’t there for the scenery, it didn’t bother us. The bathroom was decent, clean, and had plenty of water. The breakfast was quite basic. The staff were cordial and professional.

We stayed two nights, and unfortunately, the cleaning staff didn’t ever enter our room to clean it or make the bed. The bathroom wasn’t touched either. Too bad the hotel has less than stellar cleaning staff.

For 6 days no room service. Rooms were not cleaned for 6 days, then I complained about it. No garbage empty , no bed made, no towel changed in bathroom

Was geboekt met ontbijt, maar je kon alleen melk met haver/cornflakes krijgen en koffie/thee. Bed was slecht. Hotel erg gehorig. Erg veel last van mensen boven ons tot 1.30uur. Hotel is erg gedateerd. Donkere halletjes, airco heel veel geluid. .

No elevator, lack of communication. Hair everywhere in the bathroom, very old rooms and beds. There was only one staff and he was new and didn’t knew anything about the check in process. It took him 30mins to check us in for the booking which was already paid. The building is very very old, same is with bed, no elevator and he gave us room on the 3rd floor, the parking was empty so i requested him if he could give us something on ground of first floor as we had toddler and kids but he refused. No microwave, I had to go down 3 times middle of the night to warm up the milk for my little one.! Very bad experience. Never going there again

When we went to pay for the hotel, only credit cards were accepted; luckily, we had one with us. Regarding the "included breakfast," they should specify that it consists only of milk and cereal. We had expected a bit more, though the receptionist was very kind and helpful with his recommendations.

We liked this place, the staff was great. Suggestions for places to eat , towels etc. There is construction going on nearby and it's not the Ritz as far as the outside looks, but the rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast could use maybe a bit more pizazz, but all in all, the Super 8 in Duncan was very nice! The location is OK, right off the highway...but then again, most places are ~ right off the highway in this part of Canada.

Location was good. Clearly they are building a new hotel on the property.

Old, poor shape, sketchy clientele. Free breakfast wasn’t much of a breakfast and definitely not a selling point.

If I could leave a negative star review, I would. I have never had a more awful travel/hotel experience in my 42 years of life. We attended a wedding in Duncan, BC, and decided to spend the money on a hotel room to spend the night rather than making the 3 hour drive to our home city in the middle of the night after the reception. We didn't need anything fancy so opted for this hotel as other hotels were even MORE ridiculously expensive. We just needed a decent place to sleep overnight before we left the next morning. We didn't get that AT ALL. We arrived back at our hotel room at 11 p.m. and it immediately became obvious that there is zero soundproofing, or even insulation, in this hotel. You could hear everything, even the normal traffic up and down the hall was very loud from within the room. We could hear someone snoring in another room. That’s bad enough, BUT on top of that, the room immediately above us had a group of 5-6 adults who were PARTYING with zero regard to their neighbours. You could hear every single word spoken, every move they made sounded like an elephant thumping through the room, and on top of that they were hollering and screaming "WOOOO!" constantly. This was constant from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. I did not get ANY sleep whatsoever. The hotel staff made no effort to deal with the noise. By 3 a.m. after lying awake all night, I considered calling the local police. At 4 a.m. I seriously considered going to sleep in my car in the parking lot, it would be more restful then literally not sleeping AT ALL in the hotel. And I had to pay $195 hard earned dollars for the experience of lying in a bed listening to a party above my head until 5 o'clock in the morning without any sleep. The only requirement I had/expected was to be able to sleep in a hotel room I paid two hundred dollars just to sleep in, and I didn’t even get THAT. Stay far, far away from this hotel.

Very run down. Didn’t feel comfortable in my room. Repairs needed. Ant traps in various corners of the room. Floor was in poor condition.

Stayed for an overnight to go to a concert the following day. What a complete disaster of a Motel. Dirty, broken, unkept. I should have walked back out after seeing the front desk and paid more to stay elsewhere, but I decided it was one night and we are gone at first light, how bad could it be..Broken doors, front lobby looked more like a flop house than a motel. I suppose this place would be better described as one of those no-tell motels like they see in the movies, the only thing missing was police tape or a chalk outline when we walked in. Staff obviously didn't want to be there either, as for the so called free breakfast included. yeah i wouldn't even attempt to eat what they had out as it was left out overnight and was simply stale cereal, expired yogurts and cold coffee. As for the sleep, hard beds, dirty bathrooms, and so noisy all night I am pretty positive i got more sleep on the ferry back to Vancouver than the entire night at this garbage dumpster fire of a motel. We have stayed at other Super 8s in the states as well as one in the interior, the only thing linking them is the name. This place should be knocked down for a parking lot. As for the 10/10 reviews on here, the only way that could have been is the owners or staff making these reviews, stay away from this place or sleep in your car if that's your only option other than here

This hotel needs to be demolished before someone is injured. Broken glass in door into lobby being held in place by sticky plastic. Just as a start.

Dirty, run down, smells, lack of any kind of management to take care of issues. So called free breakfast was disgusting and left out all day and night.

We did not use the breakfast. Location was fine tho right beside the highway. Room cost was reasonable.

We were on main floor near end of corridor with an exit door and it was well used left to bang shut every time someone went thru for sometime into the evning.

Music and noise from guest room all night long. Ask staff multiple times to intervene. They did not do anything about the noise.

I loved that they took my damage deposit from me cause they had to pay to get the room cleaned because i mentioned of previous blood stains on the mirror frame I had noticed so hey had to do there job and clean top to bottom for once. It was gross and are they losing there minds or a job. I think I deserve full refund of stay and deposit back.

Staff was friendly

The tiles on the floor, out of date and cold. The beds were some of the noisiest too.

A quaint hotel. Its looks a bit run down on the outside, but the inside was clean and the the blue haired young lady working overnight was very sweet. We will definitely stay here again next time we're on the island!

Halls stink like dog. Front desk staff was rude and looked very unprofessional in his ripped pajama pants and unwashed messy hair.

Worst customer service ever!!!! If you experience any issues, staff are unable to handle it with any tact what-so-ever. Guest Services staff are rude and defensive instead of trying to right the misconduct of other staff. Hotel was also dirty and smelled.

The hotel was run down a bit, but the room was clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again for work.

I've been staying here since January January 1st as there was a fire in my apartment building. There are other tenant staying here and we are extremely pleased with this Motel. While the decor is a little outdated ( which just adds to it's charm in my opinion), all of us that are staying here have found our rooms be extremely clean with all the amenities we need for a long-term stay. The front counter staff have been excellent. I have to mention Helena in particular she has helped to coordinate meetings for the tenants, passed on notifications and messages and has bent over backwards for us! Thank you so much Helena they are lucky to have you and so are we. And a shout out to Eric who worked so hard to check everyone in and get us organized , and last but not least Haley who is extremely helpful and always has a smile ! I would definitely recommend staying here! The personal and caring touch from the staff has made a difficult situation so much easier, thank you everyone!!

Quiet comfy for one night

Room was very comfortable but a bit smaller than shown in the photographs on booking.com Hayley on reception was particularly helpful and understanding. A real asset to the motel.

Would have liked a kettle as I don't drink coffee. There was a dog in a room nearby and I didn't realise they allowed pets.

Love the tub and was desent for the one night we stayed.

Thin walls not much soundproofing.

The rooms could have been cleaned a little bit better. There was a layer of dust on the bed head board as well as crumbs under the edges of the bed. The hallway floors were not clean and all and there was a used bandaid that remained in the same spot for the duration of our stay.

Well it wasn't terrible but also was most definitely not a 240 a night type of place...u can here every step that the people above you when they're walking around you can hear pretty much every word spoken by the people beside you and they advertise breakfast but it's hardly anything except a couple bits of dry cereal and a little packages of yogurt. Another thing is it's been 4 days now and I still haven't been returned my deposit for the room. The person working the desk couldn't even figure out how to do a payment from two different cards and then on top of that because of that was not even going to let us rent the room because they weren't capable of taking the payment from two cards It's ridiculous. Only good things I can say is that the bed was pretty comfy The jacuzzi tub wasn't terrible. Other than that I would say that super 8 the franchise itself should take a closer look at this in particular place as a part of their brand.

It was just one night. Come in the evening leave next morning. The bathroom was clean, the beds were very comfortable and bedding clean. That was all we needed. However, the place as such needs more TLC! The floors almost peeling, walls and door frames chipping, lack of extra outlets, lack of night light for middle of the night bathroom visits. Generally everything somewhat outdated. And of course a very unfortunate location, almost on the road. Over al it was OK for one night. A bit pricey though. For this price one can have a luxurious hotel at Paris or Frankfurt airports!

I stay at the Super 8 in Duncan nearly every year. They’re incredibly nice and welcoming and everything is great while I’m there.

I stayed in the kitchenette it was very spacious however the chairs were not sturdy one was broken it had a little patio but the patio table was not stable there was a cup full of rotten hot chocolate had clearly been left out there for quite a while there were those bunnies and the fan in the bathroom was very obnoxious the lighting was very poor and above the stove in the kitchenette you could not turn on the light as the hood fan and light were broken.

Outside front entrance smelled like a pet bathroom. Breakfast area was crammed into a small area.

This was pretty good for a super 8, better than I expected, no complaints

The hotel itself was okay, nothing special . But outside we saw a hooker waiting to get picked up! Lots of people on drugs or drunk in the area too!

The hotel did smell dusty and dirty. The breakfast area was extremely basic, yogurt, nutrigrain bars and cereal and coffee and juice. Noticed termite poop/damage, which the staff promptly cleaned up.

The hotel smelled old and musty Construction was loud

The room was tight with two double beds in it. Paint needed touching up, curtains looked worn, view was a fence, mattresses need to be replaced as the springs made noises by every move, breakfast consisted of granola bars, yogurt and cereal. Dissapointing place!!!
