They did not return deposit. Hotel sent me an email that the deposit will be returned but did not return it. Only after 1 month my bank automatically returned it.

Es ist ein geschichtsträchtiges Haus, gebaut im 19. Jahrhundert und somit der Bronx ein bisschen entrückt. Der klassische Stil zieht sich auch im inneren durch. Wir waren froh, trotz des Labor Day Wochenendes, hier noch einen Raum gefunden zu haben, zu einem akzeptablen Preis gem. US-Standard. Das Personal war auch recht freundlich.

Das Frühstück war für einen Europäer vielleicht etwas ungewöhnlich, keine Wurst für die Brötchen, nur gekochte Eier, die dann auch zum Ende der Frühstückszeit nicht mehr aufgefüllt wurden. Immerhin Obst, Müsli und vor allem zuckerhaltiges Gebäck. Die Lage ist natürlich auch zwiespältig. Generell ist man mit der U-Bahn schnell im Zentrum, aber die Bronx ist halt die Bronx, hier und da gibt es Armut und das Sicherheitsgefühl ist nicht das höchste. Aber das muss man halt erwarten.

Room was very spacious and comfortable. Our room had no issues with outside noice. We enjoyed the breakfast daily.

Bathroom needed a clean, mold in shower grout and in the rim of the hand basin.

La migliore struttura del mio on the road. Edificio storico, pulito e profumato. Sono arrivata alle 13, e mi hanno permesso di fare il checkin anticipato, hanno fatto un upgrade gratuito della mia camera (grazie di cuore, avete reso il mio soggiorno meraviglioso) ed il secondo giorno ho potuto parcheggiare anche l'auto all'interno dell'hotel. Partiamo dalla stanza: i letti sono enormi e comodi. La finestra grande e si puo aprire, c'è un piccolo armadio, il bagno grandissimo e lussuoso. È il primo hotel in cui il condizionatore non fa rumore. A disposizione anche frigo e microonde. L'hotel: ci sono a disposizione 7 posti auto, nei dintorni comunque si trova parcheggio a 25$ al giorno. C'è un mezzanino dove servono la colazione: c'è molta varietà di dolce e salato, tante bevande e frutta. Non sapevo sinceramente di avere la colazione inclusa ed è stata una bellissima scoperta; caffe the e cappuccino a disposizione h24. Il personale alla reception è veramente gentilissimo, ci hanno anche pulito la camera ogni giorno. Ho pagato per 3 giorni ad agosto 450$ e questo ha reso la mia vacanza possibile. La metropolitana è a 3 minuti a piedi ed in 20 minuti si è a times square. Lo sceglierei ancora e lo consiglierei a tutti.

Alle 10 chiude la colazione e se pure c'è ancora cibo nelle vetrine, lo tolgono ( è cibo fresco che va buttato, è un peccato, potrebbero lasciarlo lì) Ovviamente non si puo penalizzare un hotel per la zona, ma è doveroso dire che ci sono molte persone strane sulla strada. Per sole donne o persone suscettibili è meglio scegliere un'altra zona.

Chambre spacieuse , métro à proximité , pas mal de magasins , restaurant ,et épicerie aux alentour , petit déjeuner très bien mais manque du salé quand même à part les œufs durs 🙂

Rien ! mis à part le quartier qui est très populaire le Bronx avec beaucoup de drogué et sdf qui traînent à côté mais on ne s’est jamais senti en insécurité même le soir

A good hotel for anyone who finds accommodation in Manhattan unreasonably expensive. It has excellent subway connections—the station is just a few steps from the hotel, and you can get to Lower Manhattan without having to change trains. The neighborhood is somewhat rough and offers plenty of typical Bronx scenes, with quite a few strange and obviously drunk people on the streets. Despite some unusual behavior, we never actually felt that we were in danger. As for the hotel itself, the room was spacious, clean, and functional. Breakfast was nothing special, but perfectly adequate. We did have some issues with certain items running out quickly and not being replenished, but after we pointed this out, the staff took care of it over the following days, and eventually there was enough of everything. The staff were generally very friendly and clearly made an effort to help. Unfortunately, we encountered one member of the front-desk staff who was rude, arrogant, and lacked basic manners. Nevertheless, we didn't let one unpleasant person affect our overall assessment of the experience. Overall, a solid hotel that offers good value for money, especially considering its excellent subway connection to Manhattan.

Everything was very clean and well kept, the rooms and rest of the hotel were very high quality. The staff was accommodating and the on site parking was surprisingly often available despite only 6 spots. The complimentary breakfast is nice as well but is a bit lacking.

The location is quite sketchy, a lot of homeless people and very is bad at night especially if you are parking around back. Definitely keep this in mind and weigh your options.

This is a really nice hotel. It's modern and clean. It's located near public transportation. You can walk to Yankee Stadium (if you're a walker). Walking to the stadium is not advised if you have limitations: mobility or breathing. There are a lot of local food spots. There is a Burger King across the street and a Taco Bell next door. There is also a super market across the street. TAKE YOUR OWN BAG or pay for one of theirs. What might turn you off is the neighborhood. There are groups of people hanging out on the sidewalks all hours of the day (and night); usually in front of the local shops. No one bothers you, but if you are not used to this type of scenery, you may not be comfortable staying here. Oh! And the room does not have an iron or ironing board in the room. My daughter and I found this hotel to be conveniently located, clean, and the staff very friendly. I would stay here again if I need to be in the Bronx.

L.hotell.en lui même est parfait avec petit déjeuner et boissons chaudes à avolonte toute la journée.

Le quartier est rempli de drogues jour et nuit. Le trajet jusque le métro est très court mais pas fréquentable. Le soir pas question de sortir pour une ballade...

El hotel es excelente, muy espacioso y el personal es excepcional. Esta muy cerca de transporte público lo cual es muy útil.

Lamentablemente el lugar en donde se encuentra no es óptimo, es muy sucio y hay mucho indigente alrededor y se siente muy peligroso.

Great Hotel, in a sketchy part of the Bronx. Rooms were great, Hotel staff 10/10. Decent continental breakfast. Was allowed to check in at 12!!! The area is not great, you will witness some poverty and mental health issues, but those are things beyond the hotel's control. Bodega all around, some chain fast food restaurants. Not the best area but I wouldn't have an issue staying at The Opera House Hotel in the future.

It was cleaner than I expected. Location is easy to get around if taking the train. Staff was friendly and helpful. But rooms were quiet and clean. Would definitely go back.

My only issues were limited outlets, no full length mirrors and lighting sucks.

Gutes Hotel mit netten Personal. Gute Anbindung durch U-Bahn Nähe. Frühstück war war besser, als erwartet.

Lage mit viele Obdachlosen, Drogenabhängigen würde ich als absolut unsicher bezeichnen. Sehr laut, da an der Hauptstraße gelegen und Schlechter Schallisolierung.

Rewelacyjny stosunek jakości do ceny. Pokoje jak na NYC komfortowe i przestronne. Nie bardzo rozumiem narzekania niektórych ziomków na lokalizację, Bronx jest rewelacyjny! Prawdziwy, nie zgentryfikowany, nigdy nie miałem tutaj żadnej przypałowej sytuacji, wliczając w to godziny nocne. Ogarniętym polecam do metra 3 minuty, na Manhattan 30 min, spoko gastro w okolicy. Instagramowych dziuniom z Wilanowa odradzam, wystraszą się fentanylowych Zombie i braku białych obrusów w okolicznych restauracjach. Pozdro dla megaogarnietych Ziomali z recepcji.

Suszarka do włosów, wypożyczona w recepcji trochę słaba.

Şikayet diliyle doğal ve profesyonel bir İngilizce çeviri: During check-in, we were asked to pay an additional deposit fee. However, there was no information on Booking.com indicating that such a deposit would be required. We informed the reception staff that, according to the booking details, no extra charges should be requested from us. Unfortunately, the receptionist told us that if we did not pay the deposit, we would not be allowed to stay at the hotel, and even suggested that the situation was our fault. As someone who travels frequently and has stayed in many hotels, I found this attitude highly unprofessional and disappointing. In order to avoid further issues and be able to stay at the hotel, I paid the requested deposit. However, the deposit has still not been refunded to me. I would like to file a formal complaint regarding both the misleading information about the deposit requirement and the inappropriate behavior of the reception staff. I would appreciate a prompt resolution of this matter and the return of my deposit as soon as possible.

I was treated nicely and respectfully soon as I walked in. My booking was ready to go without any hassle either. They even took the time to explain the breakfast and parking situations. The room was clean and very comfortable, loved the bathroom presentation and living spaces. TVs came with different apps for you to plug your account in if need be. Beds clean and proper etc etc. I really have no complaints.

Fabulous stay! Highly recommend with kids or without. Clean! High water pressure. They allowed us parking on site which was a huge bonus. Great little breakfast. Outdoor rooftop for dining on DoorDash pizza.

I had a wonderful stay here for three nights while attending a conference in New York. The hotel was very clean, my room was serviced every day, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The location was also very convenient - the subway is just a short walk away, making it easy to get around the city. This was my first time staying in the Bronx, and I really enjoyed it. The neighborhood has its own unique character and energy that I came to appreciate during my visit. If I return to New York in the future, I would happily stay here again. Thank you for making my trip so comfortable!

The only minor downside was that the air conditioner was quite loud at night. However, it was a small issue and did not significantly affect my stay.

Excellent front office staff...very courteous and accommodating... Check in/Check out was smooth.... Rooms were clean and spacious...The hotel was close to subway station which made travel to downtown a lot easier.

The area at night seems a bit shady, so would advise against going out late alone. The buffet breakfast could do with changes on a daily basis. We stayed for 4 days and it was exactly the same each day

The hotel itself is quite nice. The rooms are spacious and well equipped- we got a king with balcony. And the breakfast facility is nice as well.

The street where it is located isn’t the cleanest and there is evidence of a lot of drug use and displaced persons- despite a strong police presence with a nearby prescient. That being said- I never felt unsafe. But the street was dirty. Be careful using gps and simply searching for the hotel- you’ll get the back freight entrance. Use the address provided by the hotel itself.

Os quartos são grandes e espaçosos, a limpeza boa, café da manhã basico mas bem servido e a facilidade para o acesso ao metro.

A localização do hotel é horrível, ruas com acumulo de lixo e com dependentes químicos em todo quarteirão, desde da saida do hotel ate o acesso do metro.

This is an old but newly refurbished hotel with character, comfort, and cleanliness. Great place for a one night stay between landing at LGA and catching a train from Penn Station, via direct subway half a block from the hotel. And obviously amazing value for money.

Les lits sont très confortables. Le personnel est TB. Le petit déjeuner est très varié. Seule bémol, pas de salé mais je pense que ça fait partie des habitudes de NY.

Le quartier. Même s’ils ne vous accostent pas, la présence de nombreux drogués entre la bouche de métro et l’hôtel était très impressionnante pour nos 2 ados.

Albergo tranquillo personale educato la struttura in sé ricca di storia in un quartiere sicuramente difficile ma carico di vita reale e intensa. Molto impatto emotivo all'esterno. Dell hotel . Potevo farmi un tè caldo a qualsiasi ora con qualche biscottino.

Non si muore di fame , l'essenziale c'è. Avrei gradito qualche alimento da cuocere al momento come uova e bacon. Il latte liofilizzato non aveva un buon sapore.. i cuscini troppo alti ed avevano un odore di altre persone. Forse cambiare solo la federa non è sufficiente. Ho sopperito. prtandomi un cuscino da casa. . A colazione avrei gradito più varietà. Tipo Formaggi yogurt salumi e latte vero non liofilizzato. Tenete presente che sono italiana e per noi l'alimentazione è molto ricercata e di qualità..

Very clean rooms/common areas and friendly staff. The hotel itself was really good - we liked everything except maybe for the breakfast having limited options.

The hotel is very nice, but the location is not safe, especially if you are traveling with small kids. We saw substance abuse and aggressive folks right outside the hotel, and that was during daylight.

This is NOT a good hotel for business travelers. There were no USB outlets in the room save one that barely worked as part of a VCR (I think) under the TV; I bought an adapter at a convenience store down the block; no clock; no hair dryer (unless you asked, which I did and received one with a big brown paint stain); no full-length mirror; thin, pilled sheets; no coffee maker in the rooms (for that, you had to go downstairs); very, very bad cell reception that dropped calls, etc.; light bulb missing from the rickety, plastic lamp (though a staff member came and fixed it when I asked for a light bulb; and a "view" of a brick wall and a pipe. The printer in the "business center" was broken so the front desk had to print boarding passes. That said, the room was clean and I did not feel unsafe. The streets outside are very lively (yes, including with homeless people but also lots of kids and families). The employees were very polite and professional. The continental breakfast was rather stale bread products and giant "animal-feeder" containers of cereal. Coffee from the coffee maker was good. I twice asked for wake-up calls (due to there being no clock in the room and my phone alarm failing to work) and twice received NO WAKE-UP CALL. The rate was very cheap -- basically a third or less or what you'd spend for a Hilton or Marriott. This hotel would be good for families going to Yankees games, but NOT for business travelers. The common areas were nice and clean and the history of the place is amazing. Its facade is lovely. Next time I will book my usual go-to, Wingate by Wyndham Bronx Haven Park. It is ideal for business travelers and even has a nice restaurant on the ground floor.
