Front desk staff not very welcoming.

A nice place to stay for a short visit. We were happy with our stay. One comment I would make is that they charge extra for a roll out bed. I find it a bit strange because I booked room for 4 guests. But when we checked in front desk told us that it is only for 3 guest. If you want a fourth guest to stay then you would need to get a roll out bed for extra cost. I think this is hidden fee which was not disclosed at the time of booking.

I booked stay with breakfast but was denied by the holiday inn staff saying expedia didn’t sent them coupon

The staff was was very welcoming and respectful. It took a while to check in due to the rooms not being ready. The rooms are large, spacious and clean. Hotel lobby is spacious and well decorated. The toiletry dispensers were empty in the shower. I really appreciated the hotel staff accommodating my request for a late check out. Hotel pool area needs better lighting, it is dimly lit at night. Towels were not available pool side.

Towels dirty, washroom door lock didnt work, no mini bar fridge in the room even if they displayed the list of all mini bar items.

We booked a room for three adults with two twin beds. But the beds were two single beds instead. How could three adults sleep on two single beds? When we approached the front desk, we were told that the hotel does not have twin beds at all. We were given a spring bed instead, which was very uncomfortable.

Reception does not pickup the phone and no early check in is required. Belly Boy staff to pick up luggage is lazy and rude.

Always used to stay here when in Amritsar but the hotel has lost its charm. Service level have dropped, room conditions are not upto standard and worse has to be reception which should be the best but hiring people with more focused on counting money and chit chatting than customer device. Truly sad to see the drop in service and just overall Taj experience you expect from Taj properties Other hotels have surely gained

Worst hotel I ever had. Television is not working,hot water kettle is not working,Washroom door doesn’t locked if I tried to close it wasn’t,Fridge is not working.I complained to manager but no action was taken.Thought out the day they didn’t change it.When we came back at 10:00 pm at that time some things are working. I have some of the vedios which I want to share.

Very well located hotel, but housekeeping / linen is in a very poor state. Towels are old and look mouldy and housekeeping doesn't even know they have to put hand towels in the bathroom. YYou have to ring housekeepong for even a glass!! Very poorly equipped rooms. Food definitely can be made better. It is better to step out of the hotel for a meal. Staff is courteous but they also cant do anything if you give a suggestion. Used to be a good hotel but has really fallen in standard! The saving grace is the location!

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn a couple of years back , but this time we found the hotel looking shabby. Linen is old and run down, laundry is not fresh. Only one restaurant is open so you are limited in the hotel itself . Staff is very helpful but the condition of the hotel has really gone down . Major upgrade needed in the rooms and linens

Excellent location

Flooring squeaky and coming off. Mattress was too old and beat. King size bed is almost the size of international queen size. Lack of coordination and system updating leading to inconvenience and confusion while checking out. No bill was given when payment was made. Staff was courteous though, I might say. Condensation on window was too much causing bad smell in room. The experience was just not what was expected from holiday inn.

Property requires serious upgrades, bedding had stains and not clean. Bathroom had blinds in shower to block view from room and had mold on blinds. Bath towels need to be replaced as looks all worn out. Sofa in room is worn out. Holiday Inn I booked as I always had great experience in US but this property disappointed. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. I will not chose this as cleanliness is topmost priority.

Internet connection was constantly breaking up so that I could not do my work. Fridge in the room was not working it was replaced the second day. Sink was clogging and took two days to repair. Number of towels provided was insufficient, had to call to have additional. For the amount of money we payed in comparison to others in the hotel, our entire experience (including the view) was sub optimal.

Hotel in need of modernisation. Rooms were very dated as was the bed, bedding and towels. Corridor carpets were very dirty. Breakfast, although a good spread, was tasteless and most of the food was bland and cold. The staff however, were as good if not better than a 5 star hotel. They were extremely attentive and when things did not work in our room ( which was often the case) someone came to resolve the issue almost immediately. Location is also very good.

The rooms are very old and in a bad condition. We had to ask several times to clean our rooms. Breakfast was great and varied.

This was truly one of the worst experiences of my life. Mr. SANDEEP the duty manager called my room and yelled at me . He wanted to charge me 40 dollars additional for breakfast that was supposed to be included. He should not be allowed to work in the hotel industry.

Very friendly staff especially the house keeping staff is excellent and the front desk fulfills your request within minutes. Overall everyone is very respectful and friendly. Very comfortable stay at this hotel. Will definitely book here again in the future.

The hotel is amazingly clean and comfortable. We haf some issue with the cooling of the room but the service guy was quick in fixing it. The location is good and is close to the city. The breakfast is great and overall our experience with holiday Inn was not less than super perfect.

It’s a very well maintained property. The location is good too. There are some local restaurants nearby if u want to step out. The golden temple isn’t very far. Maybe 7-10 minutes drive. And to top it all We got an upgrade too.

Everything was good Good price Good location This was my 6th time I was staying all pervious stay was excellent This time front desk guy was super rude he was not interested at all to check inn you I have to wait over one hour then another nice front desk lady checked me in different room but this balled guy Not at all friendly he was not at with his co workers And all guests was upset too I will not go again if I will see him again on front desk he was showing so much attitude I was feeling that he is paying for my room Hotel was good Except this balled guy refused to give me his name

Atmosphere, ambience and amenities were plentiful and pleasant. Staff promptness could be significantly improved.

Very nice and clean hotel. Staff were very accomodating and attentive - I will be returning to stay next year for my wedding. Breakfast is delicious and has a very large choice - would like to make a special mention to Ranjit who served us each morning at breakfast and kept checking if required anything further!

It was a comfortable stay at hotel. Check in was quick. Room was ready and clean. Extra bed provided promptly.. On our request we were served dinner even after restaurant closing. Thanks to Holiday inn..

Excellent location. Very good variety of breakfast. Holiday inn Amritsar has a very good team staff. Everything is positive.

There is nothing convenient around the property (ATM, grocery shop, etc). I checked in to a room with a running leak on the bathroom floor. It was completely flooded. Not a big deal, they changed my room but it still was still a little inconvenient.

Bath didn't have the hand towels. Main lobby was very nice and clean. The hotel security is ultimate. Airport transportation arrangement was very efficient.

I called the room service and tried to order food from their late night menu. But attendant told me that they only had burger at that time even though menu had bunch of options in late night menu section. Secondly, the TV didnt had any signal. Even though we press stb button as mentioned on instruction brouchure of Tv, but it didnt work.

Our experience with the Hotel (staff) was bad. They need to be trained on how to delight customer. We (2 families with kids) had to wait for our rooms to be correctly assigned as they decided to give two twin beds even when we had requested for 1 double bed. The toilets were clogged, no face towels, tv broadcasting would err out in 5 minutes. Asking for two tables to be joined for breakfast was first denied. Food quality is questionable. I do regret booking with Holiday Inn, and this experience has ensured that I will skip this chain. Not all was bad, there were few who were doing their job well but probably not at the right hierarchy. I do appreciate their help in finding/returning the action figure toys that was left by the kid during breakfast. Thank you for your help. This was my first trip to Amritsar. We loved the city, food, and people. Our stay experience was not a good one.

Our room shower drain outlet had levelling problem and we had to physically shove the water into it or else water would start clogging. Housekeeping would forget to replace towels. Also the breakfast buffet service was disorganised and they kept mixing orders.

Room had very strong smell of mould and the blinds in the bathroom had visible signs of mould. The room aircon also did not work very well. We ask to move rooms but they advised fully book. The staff overall did not seem to care about our concerns regarding the mould and us having issues with breathing due to how strong the smell was. Never staying at this hotel again

Got in from a 9 hour travel from Delhi, water was cold so couldn’t have a shower. Called numerous times to ask for this to be sorted was told water will be hot in 15mins. After 1 hour and 30mins of waiting to get hot water I gave up. Management were not helpful. Next day the toilet wasn’t flushing waited 1 hour for someone to get to my room and get this sorted. Next day the same problem occurred and my room card stop working, room service tried opening, couldn’t do it too. Waited outside my room for one hour. I have travelled the world stayed in many hotels this was by far my and my families worst experience.

Nice hotel, 15- 20 min far from golden temple by car. Breakfast was good served by professionals. Value for money. I would recommend this hotel to stay. Hotel should give us choice to select either single bed or double bed through which we struggled. Other than this everything was good. Entrance gate staff was very polite, greeting by saying sat sri akal, helpful staff.

It's a nice hotel with good ambiance and great breakfast and that's all about it. My plight started when the assigned room key would not work. We made couple of rounds to reception desk to change keys and still did not work. As we were getting late to temple, we put our luggage in our friends room and went to visit the city. With this delay we could not cover few places. But this episode continued. When we returned back, they gave me another room and the key would still not work. The manager on duty came and tried with no result. At this point they opened the room with master key and asked me to stay and promised me to replace with new one so I can go out if needed. Needless to say, no one showed up until checkout and I was pretty much locked in. The A/C would not work and nor did the internet. I made several calls to front desk and there was no resolution. They told me the room numbers got mixed up so I should use other room number with my last name. There was too much going on. When I lodged the complaint in the morning, they simply said they would get back after talking to corporate which never happened. I will try and reach out to Holiday Inn office in India but would never return to this place and warn other visitors from US to stay away from this Hotel and unreliable staff. I was an unpleasant experience.

Excellent hotel

I am regularly visited Amritsar for my business meetings. I would not recommended this hotel to stay. I got below mentioned issues while visited. 1. the room lock was unable to open, i did wait approx 20 minutes. 2. Staff are not supportive, i did call to front desk for helping login wifi but they picked and cut the call without solution. 3. Wi fi login provided in next day after visited front desk 4. Freeze was also empty, i asked to put some cold drink inside but they told me it will take some time

Stayed with family for nearly a week. Great hospitality and good service. A little more attention to "deep cleaning" would make perhaps it a top hotel. Conveniently located and served well by Ola!

Overall it was a good experience, however this time round I felt few things lacking; Towels , tea coffee scahats was not provide on time , Room floor was full off dust at point I had to tell them to clean. Better mattress was not that comfortable. Food was cmg cold in room service.

Check-in was fast, specially a girl at reception name ‘komal’ was so helpful, polite, 5 stars for her !!

Before our travel we rang the hotel several times...no answer. Then I complained by email and was told that due to construction in the area the phone was off for THREE days. So if they knew why did they not enter an alternative mob number? Totally inconsiderate. Please chk if the no works or that they do not man the phone anyway. Management issue...

The hotel staff is totally non cooperative and not trained professionally to solve even minor issues.

It was amazing

The hotel staff was very attentive and I was amazed at their work ethic as they were busy keeping the lobby and surrounding areas in top shape throughout the day. Food was good and the front desk arranged a driver to take me to the top sights! Very good value for the money spent.
