We had a wonderful time here! Fantastic on every level: the beautiful location ; friendly and attentive staff; the delicious food ; the Infinity pool; and the cultural activities, such as the guided walk through the traditional village of Sebatu. The yoga classes were very beautiful too. Special thanks to Nanis and Ella for their kindness and care 🤍🌸 The only caveat would be if one gives delicate clothing to the laundry service, it isn't the hotel stafff who do the laundry but rather an external laundry service. Other than that, easily one of the best hotels we've stayed in Bali! :)

Absolutely loved our stay here! Everything was wonderful, from the warm and friendly service to the beautiful facilities and stunning surroundings. The staff were incredibly attentive, welcoming, and always had a smile on their faces. The hotel itself is beautiful and even better in person than in the photos. The food was also amazing, with every meal being fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Overall, everything was thoughtfully done and made our stay truly enjoyable. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bali! 🤍🌴

We had a wonderful stay here in this resort. It has amazing nature view and peaceful vibe, and the staff here are amazing and professional. You can enjoy yoga, spa and Balinese culture performance here. If it’s possible, we’ll come back to this resort in the future

We absolutely loved our stay at Puri Gangga Resort. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature, making it the perfect place to slow down and enjoy Bali. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the beautiful surroundings, and the overall experience. Everything felt very special and authentic. We’ve stayed at several resorts during our time in Bali, and Puri Gangga definitely stands out. Perfect traditional style boutique hotel in a tranquil garden setting overlooking the stunning Pura Gunung Kawi temple. Well priced range of rooms, lots of privacy, very helpful friendly staff. Highly rate this village as a central point for visiting temples and rice fields. The village itself has many excellent restaurants all within walking distance. Highlight of my stay was a personal village tour provided by the resort. They also offer a range of activities including yoga. The pool is refreshing with a stunning outlook. Great restaurant. I stayed in a valley view room. Bathroom surfaces could do with a good scrub, but this is typical of most accommodations in Bali and didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the room. Awesome mozzie nets!!

All the staff are extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful. However, the bathroom window doesn't open, and there's no ventilation. The lack of ventilation was extremely disturbing for us. Because the hotel is located in a jungle, you naturally encounter various animals. However, we were told the droppings found on the pillow in the room were from a gecko. However, only a very large gecko could produce such a large dropping.. In my opinion, the hotel could prevent such a large animal from being in the room. We saw mice twice in the restaurant area. Yes, it's a natural environment, but having mice roaming around while eating is disturbing, and the hotel should do something about it. In conclusion, we had a pleasant stay, but we were also disturbed by the poorly ventilated bathroom, the likely very large lizard in the room, and the mice in the restaurant area

Nice experience, Authentic Bali, polite and cooperative staff.

We had a wonderful stay with our family! We honestly have no complaints at all. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, the afternoon tea was a lovely surprise, and we thoroughly enjoyed the massages and yoga classes.

The staff here were amazing, so accommodating and friendly. They offered a great range of activities to try and even arranged to visit local ceremonies in the village. Breakfast was outstanding and even included a free afternoon tea. The value for money for this stay was amazing.

The 4 nights and 5 day stay at this beautiful hotel was amazing . We enjoyed every bit of it . I was truly impressed with all the classes and sessions we were given in the package. I believe the highlight of the trip is having a shuttle bus service everyday to the central ubud and back that helped us save some money in grab.

A great hotel, they offer really good experiences like yoga, afternoon tea, massages, and a shuttle to the center. The fact that it is in the middle of the forest brings a lot of peace and tranquility. I think the only downsides are the amount of insects—but that's impossible to control in the middle of nature—and the breakfast, which, although good, could have more variety. We chose a room with a pool, but with the rush of daily sightseeing, we never got to enjoy it, especially since the Yamuna room gets very little sun during the afternoon. But we highly recommend this hotel, a completely different experience from the rest!

Wunderschöne, ruhige Anlage, die die Traditionen der Kultur widerspiegelt. Man fühlt sich direkt wohl und willkommen. Auch die Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und herzlich, sowas erlebt man selten. Besonders Nanis, Linda sowie Alit und haben einen Nuarja haben unseren Aufenhalt zu einem ganz besonderen gemacht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wifi & TV not working

Slightly out of centre but catching a taxi is very easy to get. The atmosphere is very relaxing and my room was lovely. Big and spacious. Good value for what you get. Nice and clean. Very quiet area. The service provided was excellent. They couldn’t do enough for you. The pool was lovely and cold but needed that sometimes as it’s very hot in the sun. Just want to thank all of the staff. They made my staycation very special 🥰

Our experience at staying at Puri Gangga resort has been nothing short of exceptional. The front office staff was very welcoming and friendly. We were carrying a lot of luggage and they were more than happy to help us carry it to our respective rooms. Overall experience has been great.

I checked into the hotel on 8 June 2026 at 9:00 PM. When we entered Room 701, there was a very bad smell coming from the bathroom and the bed. The restroom water was not draining properly, and whenever we took a shower, water overflowed from the bathroom into the room. We immediately contacted the hotel staff. They came at around 11:00 PM, cleaned the room, and changed the bedsheets. The next day at approximately 5:00 PM, the hotel upgraded us to Kaveri Villa. However, when we entered the villa, the bedsheets and pillow covers also had a very bad smell. We contacted the staff again. When they removed the bedsheets, we discovered multiple blood stains on the mattress underneath. Even the cleaning staff appeared shocked. I took photographs as evidence and requested that everything be replaced immediately. The staff then changed all the bedding. On the morning of 10 June 2026 at around 10:00 AM, I reported these issues to the hotel management and informed them that we would be checking out early at 12:00 PM on 10 June 2026 due to the poor hygiene, room conditions, and unsatisfactory service. Our original booking was until 11 June 2026, but we decided to leave one day early because of the problems we experienced during our stay. Despite providing photographs of the blood stains and explaining all of the issues, the hotel did not offer any refund, compensation, or satisfactory response. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I have photographs and evidence to support everything stated above and can provide them if required.

This place is quiet and has a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are all incredibly friendly, and the amenities like the spa and swimming pool are excellent. I highly recommend the spa in particular. This is the perfect place for anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

We stayed here as a couple and truly enjoyed our experience. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. We stayed in a private pool villa, but the infinity pool was absolutely amazing. The Floating Breakfast, afternoon tea, purification experience, and making gebogan activity made our stay even more special. The Flower Bath was beautifully prepared, and the candle light dinner by the pool felt like a fairytale. We started our day with yoga, which was a very relaxing experience. The food was also delicious and offered a great variety. We would definitely recommend this place for couples who want to relax and experience Balinese culture.

Highly recommend Puri Gangga to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in Bali. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely committed to ensuring guests had a memorable experience. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, and surrounded by nature, making it the perfect place to relax and recharge. I was also impressed by the knowledge and friendliness of the drivers. The shuttle driver provided excellent recommendations for exploring Ubud, while both airport drivers shared fascinating insights into Balinese culture, religion, and history, which added so much depth to my visit. The Dewi Gangga Spa was another highlight. I enjoyed both a facial and a massage during my stay and returned for a second treatment because the experience was so relaxing and rejuvenating. I also treated myself to a flower bath and afternoon tea in my room, which made the stay feel even more special. Grateful for the experience.

Breakfast was excellent, fresh juices anbd coffee was out of world and freshly made. Everything was above our expectations however it would be better if there were Indian food options as well .

Puri Gangga was the best choice for our stay in Ubud! The location is perfect, close to many attractions, and the staff made everything even more special with their kindness and amazing hospitality. Our private villa with a jungle-view pool was beautiful, we loved the cooking class, yoga, and purification ceremony, and the breakfasts were fantastic — especially the floating breakfast in our pool. The massage with the stunning view was also unforgettable. Thank you to the whole team for such a wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful time at Puri Gangga, exceeding all our expectations. Dona leads a professional, friendly and attentive team providing first class customer service. This includes a small group of trainees, all of whom are wonderful. We were made to feel most welcome on our arrival at the resort. Our Ricefield Pool Villa was luxurious, private and beautifully presented. Highlights of our stay included the Floating Breakfast and the Intimate Candlelight Dinner. The care and artistry that went into these experiences was breathtaking. We loved the intricate and extensive floral displays, the meals, and the incredible customer service. We highly recommend the “Making Canang” (Balinese floral offerings), the guided walk through the Villiage of Sebatu and the Sebatu Holy Water experience. We feel these authentic activities helped to bring us closer to true Balinese culture than any other experience in Bali. We enjoyed our meals at Kailasha Restaurant, where the staff are professional and attentive. We already miss our view from the restaurant, looking down over lush gardens and rainforest to one of Sebatu’s water temples. We also treated ourselves to massages at the Spa, which were lovely. Puri Gangga is located near Sebatu Village, about half an hour from Ubud Central via their shuttle bus. It is also higher than Ubud This means the resort is quiet, peaceful and cooler than Ubud. The airport transfer service was timely and professional, as was the shuttle service to and from Ubud Central. We are recommending a stay with Puri Gangga to all our friends and family

The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The place itself is very peaceful, clean, and beautiful, perfect for relaxing and disconnecting. The room was great and we really enjoyed the pool and all the facilities. All the transportation arrangements organized for us were smooth and well coordinated. We especially loved the walk in Sebatu and the yoga session with Ela. The purification ritual they organized for us was also a unique and meaningful experience. We had a foot massage included, followed by a full body massage, and both were excellent. We also did a floating lunch, which was a super fun and memorable experience. The lunch was very good as well. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel to recharge and truly experience Bali.

Absolutely everything was amazing. It's just like the photos. We also loved the free events every day - we made offerings one day, and Jama juice another day, and took part in the morning yoga. Just make sure you book in advance - we didn't realise you had to and so they still did the offering making with us, but they had to pop into town first to get the materials - very kind of them! The afternoon tea was a lovely touch, and the 30 minute massage was AMAZING. They even gave our 5 year old daughter a foot massage so she didn't feel left out (she loved it). So where this accommodation may seem more expensive than others, it really was worth it with everything included. Having the water temple a short walk down the road was an added bonus - it was so beautiful. Also with just a short taxi drive (or even walk was possible) there are some lovely restaurants round the corner with beautiful rice terrace views. This was our favourite stay and location during our 10 days in Bali.

The only reason this isn't a 10 is the wifi. We had hardly any signal in the room. But the hotel is aware of this and are working on it. Also the laundry service was expensive, so we chose to do this at a little place down the road.

I love the area, its great to be off the beaten track and able to just get out and go for a walk and not be surrounded by tourists. The breakfast was great, not a buffet but plenty of choices and comes with juices and tea/coffee choices and a pastry and spreads basket that makes it feel like a buffet.

This was the 3rd time I have stayed at Puri Gangga as we love the secluded nature of the resort and the friendly staff and facilities. I stayed by myself this time and found that some of the facilities feel a little run down, specifically around the pool where the recliners, poolside tables, towel stand and sun umbrellas were all a bit dirty, moss-covered and/or broken. The pool towels were also heavily stained. In previous we have spent lots of time by the pool, ordering drinks and snacks but this time I chose to just use the small private pool connected to my suite.

I stayed at Puri Gangga Resort in Ubud in one of their most expensive villas, and I strongly advise others to avoid this property. The experience was deeply disappointing and completely inconsistent with what is advertised from a so-called boutique resort. From the moment we entered the villa, it was clear that maintenance and hygiene standards were severely neglected. There was visible mold on curtains, lamps, and in the bathroom. The room felt damp and poorly cared for. The bathroom in particular was in very poor condition. It had a strong musty, stale smell, felt poorly ventilated, and the roof was leaking, which made the entire space uncomfortable and reinforced the impression of serious maintenance issues. The outdoor facilities were equally concerning. Sun loungers near our private pool were visibly moldy and dirty, which is completely unacceptable, especially for a hotel charging premium prices and operating in a tropical climate where proper upkeep is essential. Breakfast was another major letdown. The bread served was stale and hard, seemingly just reheated in a microwave, only to become inedible within minutes. I do not expect or require bread at breakfast, but if it is offered, it should at least be fresh and properly prepared. The overall food quality and presentation did not reflect even basic hospitality standards, let alone a boutique resort experience. While I understand the challenges of maintaining properties in Bali’s climate, this cannot excuse such a consistent lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and care. When a hotel positions itself as a luxury boutique resort, guests reasonably expect attention to detail and proper upkeep—none of which were present here. In its current condition, this property does not meet acceptable hospitality standards. I would strongly and firmly recommend avoiding this hotel entirely.

We were here 10 years ago and again now, and it was still amazing. Are you looking for a place in nature to unwind, in traditional Balinese style, and with super friendly staff? Then you are going to love it here. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here as a family of three with our teenage daughter on our first trip to Bali and it was the perfect place to start our holiday. The resort is quiet, peaceful and surrounded by beautiful greenery, which made it a lovely place to relax. We spent our mornings enjoying the clean infinity pool and relaxing at the resort, then used the free shuttle each day to visit Ubud centre. It made getting around very easy. In the late afternoons and evenings we would return to the resort to unwind again. The restaurant had a great variety of food including authentic Balinese dishes as well as Western options. The pizza was honestly the best we have ever eaten, made fresh including the base. Breakfast was delicious and included in the room price, with fresh ingredients and plenty of choice each morning. The floating breakfast was a special treat and a lot of fun. All of the food was fresh and our whole family felt well during our stay. We also really enjoyed the complimentary massages and the free morning yoga, which were wonderful extras. Most of all, the staff were incredible. So warm, kind and attentive. They truly made our first experience in Bali feel special and welcoming. We are very grateful and will definitely be back.

Super resort met erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel! De matras viel ons tegen, je zakte erin weg. Ook 't ontbijt viel tegen. Amerikaans/Europees gericht ipv Indonesisch. Erg jammer. De hoeveelheid van 't ontbijt stelde ook niet veel voor. Dat was 'n tegenvaller. De massage die inclusief was,was daarintegen wel weet fijn. Conclusie: fijn verblijf met matig ontbijt!

I stay here for one night to visit water temple to do purification. The location is just perfect spot as even you can come back wet after the purification ceremony. You can also access to holy spring which I could do very early morning to have spiritual experience. I would stay more longer if I’m exploring north Ubud.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Puri Gangga in Sebatu. It was a magical experience. Dona the restaurant manager and his staff (Fita, Pajar, Asi and Dandi) looked after us so well! The staff atthe front were so professional, courteous and friendly - Ella, Ami, Nahnis and Nuarja. We were lucky to find this hidden gem. We look forward to coming back here again soon. Totally great. Like family. The included breakfast and afternoon tea are a delight. And you are in a hotel. But also really in the jungle of Ubud. It is such a nice and traditional place. Decorated with a lot of love.

Puri Gangga resort was absolutely amazing. Spent two days here for my solo trip and the staff made me feel very welcomed and safe. The spa treatments and food was great.

Excellent service, 10/10. Pajar was a very respectful waiter and speaks great English. Ashi also speaks English very well in the restaurant. Krisna was very friendly at the front desk. Massage was awesome. Don’t believe anything Dona, the restaurant supervisor, says :) JK.
