Holiday Inn Express Yorkton East by IHG

I've stayed here a few times and it is my preferred hotel in Yorkton. Location is great, it's easy to get to and it's conveniently close to several options for restaurants within walking distance.

I don't like not having a coffee maker in the room. I realize that at worst, it's a minor inconvenience having to go to the lobby for a coffee or tea, but I just like having one. It's not a deal breaker though and It won't stop me from staying here again.

Nice comfortable room, great breakfast

Clean, quiet

N/A

Fresh coffee machine.

No bacon

The room was nice and clean. The hotel as a pool and hot tub plus they had guest laundry available. I really appreciated getting my clothes clean at an affordable price. They also took immediate, appropriate action when we let them know there was a small problem.

Good location, very clean

No weights in gym, can hear other rooms

Room was clean, bed comfortable good breakfast choices. Friendly staff

The staff and property was great.

I didn’t expect a hot breakfast so I was pleasantly surprised.

Good stay and staff are friendly and helpful!

Clean great parking friendly staff

Very good breakfast spacious room

The elevator was not clean and had a smell to it The hall smelled as well Our room had a little bit of smell to it but I was able to turn on the fan and it disappeared fairly easily

Great breakfast

There was cleaning residue on sink top in the bathroom The woman who checked us in did our whole reservation wrong. Room was to be charged to the company I work for and to cancel my booking.com reservation. She said no problem she could do that so I wouldn’t be charged. She did not do this and charged my credit card. Never got a hold of me to tell me it couldn’t be done. I don’t know if it couldn’t be done or she just didn’t do it. Either way, worst customer service at a front desk ever. Also on Saturday when I checked out there was no manager in the hotel until 3 pm. How do you run a business like this. Worst experience at a Holiday Inn ever. Definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone

I don’t love the cool tone light bulbs they use. I like the warm ones better. The building is beginning to look a bit worn.

Room was spacious, clean, and the bed very comfortable. Didn't have time to use the pool this time. The front desk was very accommodating - even giving my husband water when he couldn't find bottled water in nearby stores. Breakfast was excellent, and the room attractive and comfortable.

No complaints.

Breakfast was great. Staff serving was very helpful

The hotel suited our needs well

good location for my prairie visit clean comfortable room with a pleasing buffet breakfast. I was able to get an early check in which helped facilitate a positive experience

Was a great experience. From check in to check out. All staff friendly and helpful

Very comfortable beds and room

The breakfast was good, but could have been better. The board said waffles, but no waffle iron to be seen. The eggs and bacon I had were barely warm.

I liked theocation. I had to leave before the breakfast hr.

I felt that the building and hallways, pool, etc. Needed upgrading, cleaner. It felt like it was not maintained on a regular basis. The rooms were clean though.

Breakfast was good Bed comfortable

Bathroom toilet didn’t flush properly all the time Heater/Air conditioner very noisy

Staff are awesome!

nothing

The location was near a lot of businesses

I liked it

Neat and friendly

The breakfast was great. A lot of hotels skimp on it but I was there for three days and it was helpful.

In general everything was good. The rooms seem to be aging, and it feels this way mostly due to the carpet, but it isn't from the 80s.

The property was very clean and well looked after. Most probably one of the best HI I have stayed at ever. Staff was wonderful and the breakfast lounge was inviting and comfortable.

Very noisy. We stayed three nights and every night, the whole night, there was this droning sound that made it difficult to sleep. Only reason I can think of for not using this facility again.

The lady cooking the breakfast, sausages, bacon etc. and loading the fridge was not having a good day. Ok

Excellent

Rather expensive compared to the other 4 hotels in the last 2 weeks.

did not use the breakfast service

I booked this room April 3, 2025 for a July check in. I had sent a note asking for an early check in as the birthday party we were attending started at 4:00 and I wanted some extra time. I know that is not always possible to do, however I was disappointed that they could not accommodate that. The manager also told me she would call me when the room was ready and Dakota did not call me at all.

Breakfast doesn’t have any potato option or hash browns.

I did not stay for breakfast, we wanted to just go home.

Booked a king room. Requested early check in well in advance of our stay. When we arrived, room was not ready. We took a downgrade to two queen beds just so we could get ready for a family wedding. Considering how well in advance I requested early check in, this was easily preventable with better management. Our room was not very clean. Water stains on bathroom counter. Areas of the carpet were not vacuumed.

The room was clean and quiet. Good location on first floor. Easy to park close to the building.

I did not like the police presence at the hotel on my last day/night. It was very unnerving.

Jacuzzi tub in room

Fire place didnt work no water couple for a bit heater in bedroom wouldn't work

The rooms, kitchen facilities, pools ,the building was good

Nothing like that

Good breakfast

Noise in the hallways at 6 am

Charged me 2 times

Your front desk staff is nice and very accommodating. The room is huge, nice and clean. And your breakfast is great

Easy to access

Room had an odour and the ac unit was loud and one outlet didn’t work and a light didn’t work.

Food was so so Building needs renovation

Clean and as expected , breakfast was good

Tv in exercise room didn’t work, another guest group was very loud

Friendly staff

Dirty pool and pool area and bugs in my bathroom all over the floor

Very friendly staff

Let’s start with check in. The front staff were courteous and pleasant. However, there was no mention of 24/7 coffee and a water dispenser in the diningroom. It would’ve been nice to know this. The “fitness centre” has a thermostat and the heat was set at 74 F! Thankfully I was able to turn on the a/c and change the temperature. Two machines out of four were broken and the towels hadn’t been replenished. The breakfast was very good with a wide range of selection and the staff were attentive and helpful. The coffee temperature was tepid. I found the room clean and I make it a habit to check everything before I unpack and wipe with disinfectant wipes on all items frequently used. The room was comfortable.

No ice bucket for ice which the front counter didn’t have one either. Unusual for this hotel chain.

W

Liked it included breakfast!

Location was perfect

The hotel is feeling its age. The lobby, hallways and rooms are dated, worn and in need of an update. Furniture in the room is old and broken. Carpet doesn’t look clean,

Bed was comfortable.

Furniture was a bit outdated and noticeable cracks on the pleather/vinyl on couch cushions.

Very friendly staff and great breakefast

Property was ok however we booked a king bed and received a queen, no price adjustment, room was ok but not up to the quality expected for the price.

All good

Keep Up the Good Work

Very friendly reception. Very good breakfast, although, due to hotel being very busy, most hot items were not available. That was disappointing.

Room clean beds very comfortable very quiet! Friendly staff! Great breakfast! Good location! Reasonable rates

Large rooms.

The room was great, so we're the staff and the continental breakfast had a lot of really good hot items - sausage, scrambled eggs, omelettes etc. I will definitely stay here again!

They had a hot tub that worked. Breakfast staff was very nice.

My stay with average. The woman assisting with breakfast was rude and crabby to everyone. She was barking at people, muttering under her breath and generally unpleasant.

NA

Convenient, quite, good breakfast buffet and room. Property showing some wear and tear.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Yorkton and we found the room to be clean and they had free breakfast which was very nice. They served hot food for breakfast which we had which was scramble eggs, sausages, bacon and potatoes. The hotel also served oatmeal, toast, cinnamon buns, cold cereals etc. We had no complains about this hotel and we would stay here again. It was a nice hotel.

Breakfast was amazing, and staff were so kind and helpful.

Always a pleasure to check n staff are awesome Clean fresh rooms

The hotel is great and in a very convenient location. Good breakfast and pool, only thing that could be improved was the hot tub’s temperature was a bit lower than expected. What really stood out was the service. My wife also left her Apple Watch in the room and only realized two days later and when she called, not only had they found and kept it but went above and beyond to have it returned to her. Much appreciated and highly recommended!

See above. It was a great spot.

Stellar breakfast

Nothing!

Close to shopping and restaurants.

This was literally a last minute booking I was planning and driving for 10 hours and I’m glad I did the staff were all amazing also thank you to the young man that called me to make sure everything was okay, room & lobby was super clean the only thing I wish they would consider it the dove hand wash the idea is nice to have on the wall only wish it wasn’t too high up my 7 year had a tough time reaching it Also wish it wasn’t too scented either other wise consider putting bar soap as well..other than that I and long with my child loved staying there
