Nashville Tenn: Please Provide Trace who works Operations and customer care requests a large and Outstanding Merit Increase for his help and assistance for a Disabled Combat Veteran!..For the past 5 days!!! He is a Great Ambassador for the Hilton Homewood Suites!
A trip from the hospital, the young gentleman Drew at the valet service was very fast and helpful. Thank you!
We stayed here because we needed to be close to Vanderbilt. This is my first time at a Homewood Suites and we got a king suite with a pull out couch. Only 1 bathroom. We enjoyed the room and our stay. Enjoyed the large room and full size fridge. People were very nice, great breakfast and we parked in the street for free or a few dollars of the 40$ the hotel wanted. The bad: Always one employee at the front desk. Very unfair to the employee and guests. Several times I asked for stuff and it never came or happened. Asked for fresh linens for the pull out couch - nope. Asked for someone to come see the AC as it would not go above 70 - nope. One night we asked for towels - nope, none for us. Did not use the shuttle either but they have one. ADENA - super kind and awesome. We forgot something in the room and she went upstairs to look for it, found it and kept it until we could get back. MICAH - awesome and kind valet kid. Breakfast was awesome and the sitting area was as well. Too bad had to access to fresh water once it closed. Yes, would stay again.
The staff were very friendly.
The shower in our room took ages to get warm. The AC unit was loud and woke me up multiple times. The breakfast was truly the worst I have ever experienced at a hotel.
Very clean, staff was great! Breakfast was wonderful!
One older lady that wasn’t very kind about getting towels and stated there were none for pool or our room!
I’ve written many hotel reviews on this site, but unfortunately this is the lowest I’ve ever had to rate a property. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I was excited to return to the Homewood Suites Nashville Vanderbilt for my third long-term stay (of more than a month each) since the property opened. However, to say that it has gone downhill since my last stay in 2023 – when it had then recently been renovated – would be an understatement. Following the acquisition of the property by Peachtree Group also in 2023, the property has become a mess. It is clearly being held as an investment vehicle rather than maintaining a focus on running a hospitality business focused on hotel operations or the guest experience. This property has been my company’s preferred corporate hotel for over 10 years in Nashville, but we are moving our business for upcoming board meetings, staff events, and corporate travel to other properties that haven’t lost their focus on cleanliness, basic maintenance, and service. Let’s start with the positives: 1. Location: The hotel is situated well for visiting Vanderbilt University and offers convenient access to Centennial Park and West End Nashville. It is also convenient for Centennial and St. Thomas medical centers. 2. Breakfast: For a hotel of its class, the Homewood offers a quality breakfast with a variety of hot and cold options, including scrambled eggs, either bacon or sausage, waffles, cereals, toast, pastries, yogurt, and whole fruit. 3. Amenities: For its size, the hotel has a well-equipped fitness room and a large indoor pool. 4. Some staff: A few hard-working, helpful employees stood out above the overall service decline: • Empress at the front desk seeks to accommodate guest needs and provides service with a smile. • The young man on the night shift (I missed his name) at the front desk has the most can-do attitude in the hotel. • The valet team (as mentioned in numerous reviews on this site and elsewhere) is friendly, welcoming, and efficient. It is worth noting that they are third-party contractors and not hotel employees, which explains their noticeably higher staff morale. • Rodney on the facilities team works hard to respond to maintenance and other needs, which is essential given the condition of the property. • Jessica E. has been a great corporate sales manager for our account for several years. I appreciate the Homewood gift baskets and swag she’s gifted to us in the past. Unfortunately, the positives for this stay ran out there. Our long-term stay was impacted by a series of maintenance, cleanliness, and service issues. Some of these included: 1. Severe cleanliness issues: Most troubling, there was black mold growing on the bathroom ceilings and around the bathtub/shower trim. Additionally, as accompanying photos show, the rooms were incredibly dirty, with caked-on dirt and grime along baseboards and wall joints, areas under the bathroom vanities that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, and stains on the carpets and walls. In addition, one of our rooms smelled like poorly remediated cat urine. 2. Deferred Maintenance: Our guest rooms showed signs of neglect, including peeling paint and wallpaper on the bathroom walls and ceilings, loose toilet seats, missing rubber garbage disposal splash guards in the kitchen, slow-draining bathroom sinks, holes in the sleeper sofa cushion, and severely scratched and chipped furniture. A dishwasher did not fully close, so it leaked water onto the floor. There were hazardous gaps in the flooring between the carpet and LVP flooring. In common areas beyond the guest rooms, the men’s first-floor restroom is missing a urinal (simply sealed over with exposed pipes on the wall), the drinking fountains in the pool area are out of order with no indication of plans for repair, hallway floors are stained, and patched wallpaper throughout the hotel shows indications of unresolved water leaks. We experienced the leaking water problems firsthand when staff had to move guests from rooms to tear out wallpaper and place commercial fans in the hall due to an active leak in the walls. That said, over a couple of days, the hotel simply replaced the wallpaper and part of the drywall, but the carpet was still soaking wet when the fan was removed, and little actual remediation of the leak seemed to occur – which explains the black mold growth in guest rooms and also public areas like stairwells. 3. Apathetic Service: Pretty much the entire staff seems to have turned over since my last stay in 2023, when everyone was delightful. Today, the general tone of the staff is one of unhappiness and apathy. Another reviewer this spring put it well: “Front end staff were generally not approachable nor friendly.” Most of the front desk team would prioritize their phone usage before helping us. Although most encounters were apathetic, two front-desk employees stood out as rude and hostile toward guests: Paula and Charu. Paula has some good reviews on this site, but our experience was like another shared this spring – she “consistently had a very combative, condescending, and argumentative attitude.” Charu would always start out pleasant, but her answer to any request would always be “no,” and she then would become aggressively defensive to any follow-up clarification. 4. Broken housekeeping schedule: Although housekeeping is supposed to service rooms every other day, the department is severely understaffed, and management actively looks for excuses to skip rooms. Unlike most Homewood and extended-stay properties, you cannot request cleaning around times when you may be in your room. If your “Do Not Disturb” is out when housekeeping comes by in the morning (usually before 10:00 in our experience), they will not return even if you are out all afternoon or try to coordinate a time. If you ask about housekeeping, Paula, who works the morning shift many days a week, will tell you that “your DND must have been out when they came by” and you’re out of luck. One time we went more than a week without housekeeping due to these rigid constraints. 5. Supply shortages: The hotel lacks basic supplies when you do not get housekeeping – on multiple evenings, the hotel ran out of towels. Charu would flatly tell us there were no towels available until morning, though the friendly night-shift front-desk attendant would always find some for us when he came on duty. In addition to towels, trash bags are seemingly in short supply; our trash bags were rarely replaced when housekeeping did empty the trash – which explains the rust and grime in the bottom of the trash cans. 6. Security: The hotel has “security theater” that is inconsistent. For example, while the main lobby elevators require a key swipe to access guest room floors, the back elevator near the entrance closest to West End and some of the stairwells have devices for room key swipes but do not enforce this restriction. Furthermore, the front desk mistakenly assigned one of our occupied rooms to another guest, who had to go back to get new keys for a different room when they arrived. 7. Laundry fees: The hotel upgraded the dryers and washing machines in the guest laundry room during our stay, which was welcome. However, they set the prices for washing machines at an outrageous $12.00 per use and kept the dryers at $3.00 per use, for a total cost of $15.00 per load of laundry. The $12.00 per washer is significantly higher than standard Homewood property rates and seems like an error that, hopefully, gets adjusted. It’s sad to see a once great property with so much potential now neglected like this. There are many hotel choices in Nashville. My advice is don’t walk – run to another property that is clean, maintained, and values its guests. If you’re looking for a similar type of property in the same area of town, call Holly at the Residence Inn Vanderbilt/West End up the street; it is of the same vintage as this Homewood, but much cleaner. Alternatively, call Elizabeth at the nearby Staybridge Suites, which is much newer than this Homewood. If you want to stay in the Homewood portfolio, both the Tara Investments property in the Gulch and the Sun Management property on Church Street are superior options to what Peachtree Group has allowed to happen here at the Homewood Suites Nashville Vanderbilt.
Clean, comfortable beds, convenient location & valet was great.
Nothing
We stayed because daughter was training with Nashville ballet and it was centrally located. Rooms are clean location was fantastic. However the constant dog whining and barking at all hours was ridiculous. Staff didn't care when I kindly reported it each morning. We have dogs ourselves but would never be so inconsiderate to allow them to do this at all hours or just turn music up loud to try and cover it. Extremely poor dog owners. But hotel needs to address or put non dog occupants on different floor.
Trace was amazing! Everything was great!
Love the shower, beds slept great, couch was good and spacious enough to enjoy room other than just sleeping! Place was clean, staff was helpful and friendly!
Stayed at Homewood suites after extending a joint family 4th of July Nashville Trip. The place was clean and up to par. Close & accessible to Broadway/Midtown, and relatively walkable. Service was great all around and had a smooth process checking in and during our stay. Also gotta give Drew at valet his flowers! Drew always quick and happy to help whenever we needed valet. Recommended some good bars/restaurants nearby, and always approached us with great service! The kid is going places!
Homewood was a perfect location for touring Vanderbilt’s campus with my daughter and exploring Nashville! The rooms were clean and we experienced great service even down to the valet. Drew, who got our car, was very helpful and loaded the car with all of our luggage.
Great location.,
Parking is too expensive for valet, my app didn't work, breakfast average. I had a bigger room the last time I stayed with you. 50/50 on the front desk, one person was outstanding, the other no personality.
I liked the room as it was spacious. Kitchen facilities were good. Having ice at reception was really good. Breakfast was OK.
Staff in general were very unfriendly.
Absolutely loved our stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!! Location is perfect, not too far from Broadway, a cheap Uber ride!!
Nathan was lovely and helped me book a shuttle to Downtown, lovely experience

Breakfast was great. Room was big Bed was very comfortable Free shuttle to downtown
Occasionally the shower didn't get hot
Comfortable, quiet, convenient,
Weak coffee and cold on the afternoon
The front desk staff was exceptional. Customer service was A-1. We had an issue with the TV remote and within minutes their maintenance man , named Rodney , took care of everything. He stayed a few minutes to insure everything was in order. A very nice man who is an asset to the customer service program.
We liked everything
Omari was great!l He was so kind returning our car & took great care of us.
Omari was great. I wanted to tell you about him. He was really wonderful when I say great I mean great. It’s hard to find people like that thanks verymuch for having him as an employee.😊
Aden in the valet department was a standout and made coming and going a pleasant experience.

5 stars it was amazing I love this hotel beat breakfast everrrr
Absolutely outstanding stay! The hotel was incredibly clean, comfortable, and welcoming from start to finish. What truly made the experience exceptional was the amazing service from Trace and Omari. They were attentive, accommodating, professional, and genuinely friendly throughout our stay. Their hospitality went above and beyond and made us feel truly valued as guests. 5-star service all around — we will definitely be back!
Trace and Omari were absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, they were so kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. Since we had two cars, they went above and beyond by keeping one of our vehicles upfront and taking great care of it while we went to dinner, which made everything so much easier for us. They also gave us great recommendations on where to go and made us feel so welcomed during our stay. Their customer service truly stood out and made a huge difference in our experience. So grateful for their help and kindness thank you both!
Location
Bed was only changed once and only when we asked.

Valet Aden at the Homewood Suites Vanderbilt was very helpful, courteous, and professional.
Tilavat huoneet, runsas aamiainen ja hyvää kahvia. Ilmainen kuljetus keskustaan oli todella hyvä palvelu!!
Front desk and Omari in parking area was extremely helpful.
Aden was kind, very helpful and provided the best customer service! Would definitely revisit!
Omari was so helpful! He was smiling the entire time helping me valet my car since my coworker who was a guest staying here wanting me to come visit her. Would highly recommend this hotel for simply customer service and Omari.
This is a great location. Hotel is wonderful. Aidan who was the valet gave us amazing recommendations and was so kind to us! It is the little things!!!!
Omari is the BEST!! Great hotel and staff
Trace was awesome! Answered all of my questions and made the process super easy!

Omari the valet manager is amazing! Very kind to us as guests and accommodating. Couldn’t recommend this hotel more! Great location.
Aden, the valet, was truly great. Excellent customer service and extremely professional. We appreciated his hospitality and felt welcomed at the hotel the second we walked in.
David was outstanding, fast and friendly.

Vattenläcka ovanför toalett i rummet, förstörde första natten. Fick nytt (mindre rum) men ingen kompensation. Dyr parkering. Frukosten var inte så bra.
it was close to downtown
the shuttle ended at 9:30
Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
Great service with Omari. Fast and kind.
We choose this one hotel because we love hilton, but I would never go back. food cold and we were told they did not have the equipment to keep it warm and we could use microwave It had worst customer service, could not even get more then 2 coffees for 4 days of stay as the front dest was very rude and made you feel you were a nuisance. I love hiltons and as I retired I choose this hotel chain as my choice and still is but never this hotel again. The worst hilton ever
Having a great stay awesome time Trace
This was the WORST hotel we have ever stayed at. We were woken up at 6:45am EVERY SINGLR morning Friday-Sunday because of Construction and constant drilling and hammering . You can’t even put your head down on the pillow because of the vibrations from the drills below us. We asked the front desk to move us every day and they said no. We asked to speak to the manager and they said there never was one. How can there not be a manager for 3 days and during the weekend at a hotel? The front desk couldn’t care less, they were rude to us and condescending. They were just horrible. If you want to enjoy your time in Nashville, never stay here.
Comfortable space and good complimentary breakfast.
Great service. David was great helping me with parking
Valet was great. David was especially helpful and very courteous. Extremely polite
The bed was ok.
I was traveling with my wife and a toddler and requested and was denied a bathtub. The wifi and tv was not working, when we called the front desk they told us we could call the service technician ourself. Also the pool was not heated and again we was told we could call the service technician ourself. The bathroom was not stocked properly and the breakfast was poor at best. I was also not aware that there was a $40 dollar charge for self parking or a $45 dollar charge for valet parking. The staff was rude and unhelpful. These things could have been disclosed to me when I booked or at least at check in. I will never stay there again.
My daughter had a seminar to attended at Vanderbilt. It was so convenient to be able to walk across the street to attend.
I booked this hotel for 2 reasons. 1 was for the convenience of being across the street to Vanderbilt university. Also for the pool. The pool was so cold not a guest was in at any times my little kid would ask me to go down there through out the day just to see if it was warm. I feel that you want to state your pool open turn the heat on so we are able to use all facilities.
The location was good and the fact that valet parking was only $5 more than self parking. The bed was comfortable and bathroom facilities were nice.
There was no communication on having to use your card key to operate the elevator. The indoor pool was freezing. Front desk clerk was on her cell phone while I was asking questions rather than offering helpful information regarding our stay.
Aiden was a great help. He went above and beyond to help me park
Great location and the breakfast was tasty.
The bed was extremely hard. I hurt every morning in my hips and back and the pool was freezing. My grand daughter and two other children couldn’t handle the cold and it made for a short time in the pool.
the room was fantastic and the breakfast was also fantastic!
paying so much to park my car
Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
