On previous visits the buffet was not quite so predominantly Jamaican dishes. Nice but a little selection of lighter dishes would have suited me better.
muy lindo edificio antiguo
tarda en salir agua caliente, le faltaba un poquito de mantenimiento a la parte de ducha lo
The breakfast was my reason for booking. Please keep providing your authentic Jamaican breakfast.
Some form of entertainment or guest activities would have been good.
Petit déjeuner correct
L'etablissement est un peu vieux.
Staff members were professional courteous and respectful
The hotel is excellently located on Waterloo Road, which Ben it was easy for us to get around the town for our tours or go to a supermarket to pick things up. It’s a walk away from Devon house and from Bob Marley Museum, also close to a number of embassies so the location is great for visitors on business or leisure. The staff incredibly welcoming and friendly. The hotel has a lot of heritage and royalty and celebrities have all stayed there. It has an old school traditional feel to it, and the staff will do their best to help or accommodate with anything that you need. The room was very spacious if a very large king bed and a sofa/living area and there’s a fridge so you can keep your own beverages. There isn’t a mini bar, but they have tea and coffee making facilities inside the room, the room is comfortable. They do a turndown service so you always come back to a tidy room. There is a bar and restaurant too - we didn’t eat there but popped in to take a look. There’s 247 security so you always feel safe. Breakfast was included in our booking, and they do a Jamaican buffet- the national dish, Ackee and Saltfish is on the menu daily, boiled yam, banana, callaloo, then a meat dish, plaintains and a selection of breads too. They offer local seasonal fruits and tea and coffee. It is quite formal table setting with white table linen. There is a dress code in the dining room (which I fell foul of on the first morning - no headscarves or bonnets, ladies!) but they are pleasant in the way they tell you- though, they should inform guests when checking in or add it to the guest information sheet in the room. That said, I like that the dining experience is always smart and orderly and people are not coming down in swimwear or sleepwear.
The the hotels pool is outdoor and while that is nice and refreshing, it could be better if they have a staff member there to keep it clean regularly because leaves from the surrounding trees often fall into the pool and on some occasions that put us off using the pool. This is nit- picking somewhat, but I do think it would be a good addition if they offer visitors a tour of the hotel when they check in so you get the lay of the land before hand and can get a sense of the hotel’s history, I think that would elevate the guest experience. Our room was nice and comfortable, but it is worth noting that not all the rooms have a balcony - despite the photos. The windows have a security net over it so that can obscure some light, but the windows are very large so when you throw back the curtains, you still do get a lot of light, but please take note that not all the rooms will have a balcony it’s worth triple checking that when you book if that’s important to you.
Localização, limpeza ( corredor cheiroso! ), lindíssima arquitetura, atendimento dos funcionários, confortável, estacionamento amplo, silêncio, excelentemente bem cuidado apesar de ser um prédio antigo
Nenhum ponto negativo
I did not stay there. I canceled my reservation.
I did not like be put in a room looking at a brick wall. The room had a funny smell.
Unique Colonial property but very dated Front desk service is limited. Almost imposible to get support.
It needs an update.
All staff there were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Tiana and Jada in the Dining Room at Breakfast. The Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices.
The shower stall in the bathroom did not have a place (shelf) to put soap and shampoo while showering. Very inconvenient.
I didn't like the price for the one night.
Price for the room
breakfast was excellent, there were many choices. I also enjoy the fruits.
The property's location was perfect for my visit to Kingston, and the room was clean. I genuinely enjoyed my stay.
Despite my positive comments above, there were some areas that fell short. For example, I repeatedly requested an extra pillow, which was never delivered - it was needed for health reasons. Towels were not fully restocked, and even when requested, they were never delivered. The dinner service was subpar, and a simple step like repeating orders could have greatly improved my experience. The service at breakfast was really good.
It felt like home. The staff was friendly the food was delicious and served either dignity.
I wished the property was larger however the facilities were adequately spaced
The equipments in the room are old and need to replace asap. I have being using the hotel facilities over 26 years now and it’s been the same equipments. Need an upgrade asap. I will always use this hotel though whenever I in Kingston.
The staff, food and location.
I love the serenity of the environment, the food, the staffs customer service skills, My room was very clean and spacious. It felt like home. This is my favorite hotel and I'm definitely coming back. Their breakfast in the mornings was so delectable and irresistible. You won't regret being there. Its definitely the place to be.
The bowl in their bathroom took a little while to flush, you have to know how to flush it to avoid stress. And that was the only thing i didn't like.
Room was nice and cozy. Full breakfast came with the package.
There was no bodywash in the room, only soap. That was the only drawback for me.
The place was very clean the food was so good and its a very good location to a lot of shops.
There was nothing i don't like about that place.
The service and the food were exceptional. The ambience of the hotel was just what I needed quaint and a calming ambience. It was also withing walking distance of the attractions I wanted to visit e.g. Bob Marley's Museum, Devon House
I can't really think of anything, and I am a seasoned traveler

Everything was perfect. The front desk moved us to a King size bed, the room is spacious and all the staff is very friendly . The breakfast and dinners were wonderful. They had a live band with great singers on Wednesday night in the bar. The landscape is really well kept and it is lovely to hear the water from the Koi pond while having dinner or breakfast.
Everything was absolutely perfect, we will definitely stay here again
I like the historic nature of the hotel, its location and its architecture. Generally I found staff very courteous.
I was there for a week. Breakfast didn’t really change from day to day, so for tired of the buffet by day 3. The food itself was good but if you’re there for more than 3 days you may want to eat elsewhere.for a change. I booked 8 day stay then told them when I arrived I’d like to change it to 7 days, which they said was ok. Then upon checkout manager said because it was made through booking they can’t change the reservation - which is not true as I have done this before as it would just need to considered with booking. I was disappointed with management on this issue tbh and not the person who checked me in as there was no attempt to course correct. That incident upon leaving really overshadowed the otherwise okay experience I had there. Lastly I would say this more of a business traveler hotel (which is fine) as such there are no amenities for kids and the pool was not clean each of the 6 days I went there - maybe because no one really uses it - at least when I was there - but surely they should make a better attempt to clean it.

Absolutely beautiful decor, the landscape is kept to an exceptional standard. Wonderful ambience and staff were accommodating and welcoming

Great customer service. Jadia,Trishania.Devan.Mr Herbert are outstanding in the customer service skills and support services. Awesome staff
Someone complain lout making noise and we where call .My dad who is.82 years old was in the room with me No one came up stairs to check out the situation .We where not making any noise.no music or anything. Don't like that.
The food is good
Whenever you book that hotel you have to ask whether they have an event. Stayed there on a Saturday evening and the outside bar had an event with loud music until 1am that made my floor vibrate and the windows shake.
Event underneath my room and balcony
Location and breakfast
Room service and cocktails
It has been a month and a half and I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned. The hotel have not responded to my emails and telephone call.
Central location, beautiful property and grounds. The bed!!! Omg, best night sleep in a while, friendly staff. That cucumber welcome drink was the best! Overall good breakfast and room service
Contacted the property twice via Booking to organise airport transfer. No reply at all. Sorted this with family. Room service: I ordered the burger with no mushrooms. It had a couple small pieces on arrival. Luckily I’m not allergic, it’s just something I don’t enjoy eating.
The breakfast
The bed is tough and very noisy. Couldn't rest comfortably
Staff was friendly, courteous, and polite. Property was clean
Warm, homely.
The breakfast was a great selection and the location is quiet and safe area.
The property has still maintained its beauty. Area groomed and clean.
No complaints. Parking could be a problem sometimes.
I was double charged
Booking is supposed to be 10: or 11 am. i reached there before 11 a.m., and I was told to check in and was told i wouldn't be able to assign a room until 3 pm. My Reservation did not set that.
The breakfast was really good. The location was excellent. The front desk staff were very helpful. We really enjoyed the pool.
We had occasion to call maintenance to sort out the leaking AC unit. We thought the response time was too slow. The maintenance guys were good when they came but the wait was too long. Similarly we booked a room for 3 people but had to keep calling to request the towel sets for the 3rd person and each time we had a long wait even needing to call on more than one occasion. The hotel is a bit dated.
The location was great and quiet.
They don’t have twin bed options so they only offer a double bed which is incredibly inconvenient for friends travelling together. Dinner is exorbitantly expensive by any standard.
Free breakfast was delicious
Property was well maintain
Breakfast was amazing and so were the staff. From check in to check out everything went smoothly and Mr. Devon and Mr. Fitzroy as well as the stellar front desk staff were so warm and welcoming!
It’s very nice and beautiful and the food is so good
Everything - from the room to the restaurant was exceptional!
Nothing!
Great customer service amazing friendly and loving staff, very clean environment food was excellent. I loved the breakfast varieties and taste 😋 I would recommend anyone to stay at Terra Nova on any occasion, and i will definitely return, thanks guys for making my stay a remarkable one
My only issue was the television, trips in and out weren't able to watch, and the pillows I think need changing
Convenient location
The location is a bit noisy
Lovely hotel. I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. I slept well.
There was a late night music event, which finished at 12pm. I found this disturbing, as I was in bed at 10.30pm. The breakfast was very limited to traditional style. There were no fruits, or continental options. Hopefully this could be reviewed in the near future.

Cleanliness
Same menu everyday. And if I wanted to combine with what was on the menu, i had to pay.
Food was too expensive. Rooms and bathrooms need a repair, facilities are too old.
Location location
3rd time staying and the repeated issue is the maintenance of the room
Staff was very friendly and helpful with requests. Breakfast options were good. Location of hotel decent based on our planned activities. My kids enjoyed the fish pond and pool.
Took 30 minutes to check in due to reservation issues. Had to provide my credit card like three times after going to our room. Very annoying after almost 20 hours of travel! AC in the room was dripping right by the door, and they sent someone to "fix" but it started dripping again the next day. Took a long time to get anything we requested in our room, from an extra bath towel to a blanket. Fan in our bathroom didn't work. Walls are thin, but not surprising, given age of the property. Requested a quiet room and they put us by the staircase. Thoughtful.
Fabulous. Like a home. Very friendly helpful staff.
The room cleaners need to be more thorough. Noticed that after each service, basic things were not done e.g. dusty, floor not swept properly with crumb spillage still on floor after cleaning , tea etc not replaced.
I had a good short stay. I cannot complain as most things went well and the staff tried to be very helpful. The chef (Shelly) was superb! She really knows her art. And the waiters and waitresses were exceedingly polite and efficient. I think the work is difficult, but the staff always tried to be gracious.
Some of the family had a hard time with the guest services. Often resulting from communication issues. We brought a great deal of business to the hotel for a large event and not everything went smoothly. The Manager always tried her best however to ensure that help was provided.
The breakfast was exceptionally delightful.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Property has been for many years and still is beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast worth the trip by itself is still a whole array of Jamaican specialties. Delicious. Except Johny cakes and bammies which were soggy.
Nothing about the property. But I had asked for a room on the ground floor. Was given a room upstairs ( no lift) and told you booked through a third party we do not see your request. The booking said room with bathtub. To be given a shower and told we only have two rooms with bathtub. No idea why your booking agents keep advertising non existent items. All this is minor but annoying. Is it the property’s fault or yours?
The location is great and central to a lot of activity in the city. The breakfast was superb and the staff provided excellent service. Will definitely return for another visit.
I was warned to not walk in the vicinity. It wasn’t safe,
People smoking ganja openly in the pool.
breakfast was very good.
The Breakfast was very good. A convenient location.Accessible.
The room was spacious and clean!
Clean, quiet, comfortable and easy to access
Super friendly staff and a comfortable bed, highly recommended!

El precio que tiene el hotel con lo que es
Staff was nice.
We checked in at 11pm. Got to our room at 1am after we got food from the casino. The ac wasn’t working properly. It took them an hour an hour to move us to another room so this is 3am. Hotel was dusty and made me sick. Probably dust from the carpets. We still had to check out 12 even though we had that inconvenience. We paid for room with tub and no tub. Just shower.
Great location and great breakfast! Room was spacious.
Housekeeping did not replace basic toiletries or towels. Required calls to the front desk. WiFi was terrible in the room.
Services ⁷
This hotel is a hidden gem in a great location for tourist attractions (Devon House, Bob Marley) the Blue Mountains and various International Embassies/Consulates (UK US, Canadian etc) The grounds are secure and well maintained, the hotel has a great ambiance and vibe though still maintaining a high standard. The staff , concierge, reception, restaurant were fantastic and accomodating. The food was a a brilliant spread of local dishes, breakfast is exceptional and we didn't want to eat anywhere else. The hotel uses a local taxi service run by Pierre who was so useful for us attending the US embassy early in the morning, then for tourist trips around Kingston and up into the mountains. Hard to fault.
That I haven't stayed here before. A lot better than the larger hotels in Kingston for price, location and enjoyment.
close to devon house and US embassy
Hostess were very friendly and courteous
Upon arrival,Richard and Abigail went above and beyond to ensure I enjoyed my stay. The room was spotless, the food excellent, the staff were amazing. A perfect location to all that's hip and happening in Kingston.
Friendly staff, hotel is a bit outdated and needs some renovations. Food was ok but nothing special.
The property overall is very clean & well kept, majority of the staff I interacted with was very nice, restaurant & comp breakfast was great, the bed comfortable, the headboards are in need of reupholstering as the current material flakes onto the bed, a few other items could use fixing, the scale didn't work & in the room I was in, the shower lever to allow use of the shower head was broken but I would def stay there again.
Everything was top tier at this property and staff was excellent All was great at the terra move all suite hotel
Excellent staff and service and amenities.
Great hotel, staff amazing and fabulous food
This hotel has excellent restaurants, bars and a sophisticated atmosphere. The staff are amazing and efficient, the food is excellent. the location gives easy access to all business and entertainment and cultural spots.
The WIFI was slow but it was nothing to do with the hotel, there had been vandalism of cables affecting many areas of the city which has now been repaired.
Safe, quiet, and relaxing.
Need more Jamaican food for dinner

The hotel was great and the breakfast was delicious
Safe and beautiful.
The person that checked us in was great, please give her a raise. On the other hand, the rooms were not fully cleaned and need a lot of attention. I was able to speak to a manager who took notes. She also stated the issues reported would be elevated to upper management.
The food was delicious
The property was serene clean and quiet
Nice hotel
More available outlets near the bed are easy access, and make the wifi secure so I can join from work laptop
The hotel is lovely, very private and discrete. The food was amazing and the pool and gym was open 24/7 (loved that) . The casino was on the campus and the bar and lounge was perfect!
Although the property was dated, the food was good and the service was excellent..
I gave overall excellent because everything was indeed lovely, except for the grout in the shower stall in our room needs to be removed.
