Railay Garden View Resort

Amazing vibe, in the middle of the plants with sea view

No AC, so have to be comfortable sleeping with fan. Also pillows a little uncomfortable

The location was absolutely stunning. I had a huge balcony with a hammock, they provided mosquito coils for outside. I sat outside in the morning to watch the sun slowly light up east railay beach and observed exotic butterflies playing and long tail boats coming and going from the floating pier (which were the only unnatural noise I could hear). The room was clean and tidy and I genuinely felt like I was away from other travellers.

The wifi that is provided did not work and this was the only location where my phone signal (AIS) has seemed to struggle. I was also unaware until I arrived that there is no hot water, so after being caught in some heavy rain and wind post climbing on the beach, this wasn’t ideal. During the hotter months the lack of hot water wouldn’t be a problem and if I wasn’t solo and was looking for a retreat this would be perfect.

Vue incroyable

Pas de Clim et un peu éloigné

Rien

Location and view are beautiful, the terrace of the superior view was excellent and the monkeys were cute!

Rooms were a bit tired - mosquito on window had tissue plugging hole, no hand soap, no fridges or kettles in rooms, only one spare plug meant either charge an electrical item or have fan but not both, some thoughtful touches would’ve made difference.

Lovely room set up in the hills, very peaceful with a beautiful view to wake up to each morning. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the shower was powerful — perfect for a refreshing start or end to the day. Breakfast was nice, and the view was amazing. One morning we even got to watch monkeys playing in the trees, which was a great experience. There are quite a few steps to reach the room, but this is expected given the location. The lift for luggage was a great touch and made things much easier.

Air conditioning in the room might have been a nice addition, but the fan was more than enough and kept us comfortable throughout.

Uitzicht is prachtig

Set on the east side hillside over looking the beach perfect to watch the sunrise and watch the long tails as they pass along with the various wildlife, Nice breakfast and friendly staff.

This is a hotel surrounded by nature. If you're visiting, I recommend avoiding the hot and humid summer months, especially April and May. The prices are quite expensive, particularly for rooms closer to the beach. Similar hotels at the same price point usually have air conditioning, but this one only has fans, which isn't very comfortable.

The room was super clean and spacious and the staff are friendly and helpful, the views are stunning and i got to see monkeys and hornbills from my porch.

The views from our sea view room were fantastic. Breakfast was fantastic each morning, with your chosen breakfast made on request. The staff were super friendly. It was quiet in the resort. Far enough from the hustle and bustle to be quiet, close enough to walk. Great places nearby for food, drink and activities. East Beach isn't the greatest. Walk to West Beach to Phra Nang, both are fantastic. Get to the beach early to avoid it being crowded with those coming from Ao Nang on day trips. I felt this was more of a rustic / authentic stay, compared to a more luxurious hotel.

These are things I knew prior to booking, so they don't impact my score. The steps up to the resort are tiresome, especially in the heat. The noise of the longboats is loud. There is no fridge in the room. The room also had no AC, just a fan.

Super vriendelijk personeel.

I absolutely loved the location of this hotel. The panorama was stunning and made every moment special. The evenings were incredibly relaxing, especially spent in the hammock, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The terrace is enormous and offers plenty of space to unwind and take in the beautiful surroundings. It truly added to the overall experience. I would definitely come back!

There was nothing I didn’t like. Everything was perfectly fine.

Nice bungalows with a good breakfast.

Rien

Great views,.tranquil setting. Nice clean rooms, comfortable bed

.

We had the top room with a huge balcony looking out over the sea and what a view it was! The location was excellent too.

Nothing!

The grounds here are truly beautiful and very well maintained – lots of greenery, neat pathways, and a pleasant, peaceful atmosphere. However, the bungalows themselves were below average and did not meet expectations in terms of condition and comfort. Breakfasts were very limited, with almost no variety, which noticeably affected the overall experience. The main advantage is the stunning balcony view. The panorama of cliffs, sea, and lush greenery opens right in front of you and makes the stay much more enjoyable despite the accommodation drawbacks. Overall, it is a place with beautiful natural surroundings but with clear shortcomings in accommodation and dining. 7 out of 10.

Absolutely stunning hotel. We had a jungle hut. With a huge terrace in the trees. I'm certain we had the best room in the whole place. It overlooked the bay with a hammock (I think our cabin was the only one with one) It was such a quaint place and Absolutely beautiful! We were also given a small parting gift which was a lovely touch. Don't miss the baggage lift so you don't have to carry your bags up the steps!

We didn't like that we were only there for one night! I read some reviews that moaned about the noise from the long tails, and believe me they are noisy but Railay is only accessible by boat, so its what you expect! The breakfast staff could have been a little better. We walked into the breakfast area and had no welcoming or assistance. There was a breakfast menu for eggs and pancakes, we had to approach the staff they didn't serve you. The whole thing just felt very awkward. There was a long flight of stairs leading to the hotel so people with mobility issues should be aware, but for the stunning views and surroundings it's well worth it!

I like how the cabins were scattered up and along a hill, with a lovely terrace and it was so peaceful. It's an economical friendly facility and very quiet and heavenly. Complimentary toiletries. Friendly staff, free breakfast and coffee all day.

I dont mind but I dont remember it stating anywhere you could only access this by steps up a hill, meaning its not good for elderly or somebody with walking problems. It was a little challenge, but I myself thought it was worth it. It was on the expensive side for Thailand but unique and quaint. It wasnt dirty, it was clean, however there was a wax strip stuck to the middle of the floor, which im not sure how the cleaners missed it. This is not the establishments fault.... however the walk to the hotel along the mangroves is beautiful at night, but in the daylight theres a lot of litter and a smell of drains... its a shame as a community there isnt more of a clean up effort around the mangroves. Again, not really the hotels fault but it is off putting.

Beautiful views and clean bungalow

The stairs but you get used to it

Great location - secluded out the way (only 5 mins walk), best view from a room we’ve ever had! (Top view bungalow) Breakfast was small but tasty, and we saw monkeys and beautiful cats :)

Not the best sleep - mosquito net was necessary and so was the fans, and together made for a poor sleep unfortunately

The property was filthy, bugs squashed into the bed sheets, lizards and bugs in the bathroom, black mould in the bathroom. No windows! There are shutters covered by mesh which does not fully close allowing bugs in and easy access. This property was not clean or safe, I would not recommend.

Resorten, omgivelsene, hytta, restaurenten, vakkert og spesielt. God valuta for penga.

The view from the balcony

1) Quite far from the pier, you need to carry your luggage a long way from the pier to get here, and they don’t provide any help with carrying the luggage to or from the hotel. 2) There’s a bad smell coming in front of the resort and the beach is very far away. 3) After a long walk from the pier, there are like 100 steps long stairs to reach the resort. 4) There’s no AC, or kettle provided in the room, just a couple of fans. 5) The room is not well lit and the bathroom is very small. 6) I paid 8000+ baht for 2 nights here which was very overpriced, and on the day i got here the rooms were being shown for like 2200 baht a night, which made me feel cheated. 7) The restaurant is only there for breakfast and there’s no room service or food options if you want to order anytime else. 8) no laundry service

I loved the tree house style, just on a hill side overlooking the ocean, amazing place, loved everything about this place, if you love cats, there are like 5 of them running around.

It’s not their fault, it gives the experience, but jeez the stairs were killing me everytime I was going back to my room :D

Only the view.

Dirty sheets, mold and bad smell in the room, no blanket, there is no mention on the platform that they are an eco resort, fact for which there is no hot water in the shower to clean yourself. Taxi boats make very loud noises all the time, you can’t sleep without earplugs.

Amazing view….staff friendly…… they helped me arrange transfer airport resort and hotel to airport.everything went smoothly. Relax atmosphere near restaurants. Easy to walk to the beaches. The jungle friends (monkeys) were great to meet (hahaha).

It’s a bit of a hike to the room, but you get awarded with a beautiful view all to yourself. Bathroom could use a bit of renovation. A fridge in the room would be nice. They do have a separate area where you can put your stuff in the fridge. But overall I really enjoyed my stay.

The location was beautiful, food was great. It was quiet and away from the chaos

The walk to get there

I was really looking forward to this stay and couldn’t wait to see the view. Our view was spectacular, and we got quite a nice breeze sitting on the porch. Free breakfast was a bonus too! The banana pancakes are very good, and you can help yourself to toast, tea and coffee too. The bed in our bungalow was comfortable and the mosquito net is a thoughtful touch!

Be mindful that this is an eco-friendly resort, there is no AC, it is fan only in the rooms. The water is also on one-setting in the shower so the temperature cannot be adjusted. The long tail boats do depart constantly so you can hear them throughout the day and night. If you are looking for AC, hot water and sound insulated rooms this is not the place for you, however if you are up for it, and want a breathtaking view, this is a special place 😊

Localização e estilo do alojamento

A internet não funcionava e não tinha água quente

Really beautiful resort and friendly and helpful staff. You are almost the furthest away from the town that you can be at Railay, but still only 5 mins to the east beach and 15mins to the west beach. Breakfast was toast and hot drinks. Room was nice and clean.

No air-conditioning, but the fan was fine for the time of year. Shower had one heat setting, which is fine when it's boiling hot outside.

The only good thing about this place is the great view of the ocean, surrounded by trees — one of which has monkeys running through it during the day.

Unfortunately, the accommodation is dated, with no hot running water and insects crawling inside. Additionally, there’s a terrible amount of noise from nearby boats, and the room only has a fan.

Baia nu are apa caldă,in camera un ventilator mic care nu face fata,si mici sopirle care erau mereu prin camera

The property was a nice escape from the busier more touristy spots. Very bare bones and authentic.

The only detail to note is traveling into and out of the garden is tricky since it’s only accessible by long boat. Due to time and water levels and not being from Thailand we lost 2 days in travels since our flights were Early in the morning and later in the evening and didn’t want to risk getting stuck.

A good hotel for the money. There is a small uphill walk, but the view makes up for it. Simple and comfortable bungalow

Great beds! Beautiful view! A bit at the back of the east side, but it's such a small place that everything is walking distance anyway.

The pressure in the shower was non-existing. Couldnt even rinse the sand off.

Las vistas, y estar rodeados de naturaleza

No había agua caliente

Great sea view bungalows with amazing views

No restaurant at all on site, couldn’t even buy a beer.
