En primer lugar el camino que conecta la carretera con el hotel está fatal!! Después al personal le faltaba comunicación y un poco más entregado (alguno de ellos no todos). Pero lo más importante son las habitaciones. Para mi gusto les falta una reforma ya que se ven cascadas… obviamente es el rollo tropical y de alli pero no dormimos en dos noches por el sonido de los animales y teníamos un murciélago viviendo allí dentro y me desperté con una iguana en la pared asomando la cabeza. Si te gusta este rollo okay, pero yo pass mucho miedo dos noches y ni dormí

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026The location is incredible. It’s perfect for pure relaxation. The staff are always superb and the facilities have been well maintained over the years.
The AC units and fan in the bungalows can’t keep up with the average summer heat. The bathroom gets sweltering. The single menu for lunch and dinner is repetitive after 1 day and is the reason I wouldn’t stay beyond 3 nights here. Food quality is on average good.
La localizacion, la decoracion, la comida, el personal, en especial el equipo de mujeres.
Falta cierto mantenimiento, las amacas tienen rajas en la madera rotas, hay telarañas, revisar los bichos, las luces de la piscina estaban rotas y vinieron a arreglarlas y no supimos nada mas, pero no las arreglaron.
La atencion del personal fue excelente. Las bebidas, la comida, la alberca y la playa que estuviera completamente sola sin tanto movimiento. Apreciamos mucho la tranquilidad que se respira en el lugar.
El unico inconveniente que pondria es que en mi habitacion el cielo del bungalo no estaba cubierto con nada y parecia que no fumigaron las palmas porque durante toda la noche cayeron demasiados insectos sobre nosotros, lo cual no me permitio dormir ni a mi, ni a mi pareja de manera comoda. Entre hormigas, palomillas y gusanitos estuvieron cayendo toda la noche. En la primer noche lo reporte y me cambiaron sabanas y me dijeron que pondrian un telar que cubriria la cama pero no fue el caso y en la segunda noche fue lo mismo.
Es bellísimo y el personal brinda una excelente atención.
Podrían darle mejor mantenimiento a las cabañas, todas las puertas y ventanas de madera ya no cierran bien, además pudieran mejorar el techo para evitar la entrada de animalitos, en mi caso, entró un murciélago dos noches.

servicio en playa NO EXISTE pones una bandera que la ven una hora despues, las bebidas llegan calientes, hay 3 techitos en la playa con camastros de madera imposibles de mover con unas obleas de "cojines", incomodisimo
Un alacran en el cuarto!, la caja de seguridad no abria tenian que ir a reprogramarla, la TV sirvio 2 noches despues, el aire acondicionado insuficiente, NO HAY LUZ en la habitacion, solo luz "calida" tienes que estar con la luz de tu celular para ver algo.....

Reviewed Mar 20, 2026The location of the hotel is amazing. One of the best ones ever. Cooked dishes were amazing and the staff is very friendly (except for the people at the front desk).
They should advertise that the rooms are open, the photos and description are misleading and do not show this. Rooms are not sealed within windows and roof, and you will unavoidably have a serious insect and lizard situation within the room. The first night we found lizard poop falling from the roof directly on our bed, since it had many of them living there, they offered a mosquito net, which helped navigate the situation (tiny spiders, ants, etc climbing on the bed), however, it was not a comfortable sleeping situation and it affected our rest significantly. Had we been aware of this, we probably would have stayed elsewhere, cleaning was just okay, when they installed the net, sand was left all over the night stands and bed frame, which no one cleaned until our last night there.
While we are aware that the location would involve insects to an extent (you are after all in a natural environment), we have done many eco lodgings that with the proper sealment of rooms diminishes the issue. We were told to close the blinds and leave the AC on, which frankly we did not see how this was helping the environment, and either way, the room never stayed cool because the windows, door and roof are not sealed, it was a contradicting situation.
While the rooms are pretty and modern enough, we were just not comfortable inside of it. it is sad to see this amazing location with so much potential be overshadowed by the lack of comfort in mind, considering also you are paying a lot of money for it.

Would only recommend to nature-loving friends! The room feels very open to the elements.
If you want luxury but with an earthy feel, this is the place.
Food is brilliant but a bit more choice would be great. Also nice to see a menu at dinner - even if it is a set one.
Would recommend for a short stay not a long one.

Ma ci sono tante zanzare, è normale quando si sta all’aperto in un ambiente tropicale.
Suggerisco di mettere delle zanzariere sopra i letti, così da garantire sonno indisturbato e senza rovinare la semplicità del posto con inutili insetticidi. :)

Like that it had outdoor privacy pool and access to the beach.
Well the rooms was overpriced it needs alot maintenance on the door shades they broken there's alot gaps in the sliding doors they was alot bugs getting in and mosquitoes we had to get a mosquito net over the bed to sleep even to enjoy the pool outside we had to put on bug repellent all the time in the room. The room was warm a/c didn't cool properly. You couldn't get in the beach cause of the strong waves.

Le falta mucho mantenimiento a los cuartos, muchas cosas están muy deterioradas especialmente las persianas de las ventanas y los techos llegan a tener pequeñas goteras tofo esto por la emoción del mar y la arena.
Les falta personal, todos hacen hasta lo imposible para que los huéspedes estén bien, pero es demasiado grande.
Deberían de poner cabritos de golf o algo mas práctico para salir o entrar los trayectos son largos para ir a cualquier lugar y hace demasiado calor.
Great location, and the design and setup of the hotel is good overall.
The facilities are poorly maintained for a hotel that has so much potential to stand out. The service is mediocre, understaffed and undertrained. The restaurant food quality is low and pales in comparison to the other two properties that we stayed at with the same price point (Kyaia and Casona Sforza). The rooms are open air (poorly screened) so you get acoustic transfer from other rooms and lots of bugs and lizards in the room. If you’re okay with that it can be manageable- if not, run.
The room was perfect, a lot of privacy and a private pool. No issues with noise or sunlight during the morning. AC worked perfectly and breakfast was delicious, had Huevos Escondido don't miss on them!

The cabins were worn out, airco not sufficient for the heat (still 30+ Celsius during the night). Sewer smell in bathroom, sinks not running, pumpsystem in plungepool not working, end so on.
Besides it wasn't clean, and cleaningservice was slow and uninefficient.
The rest of the staff very un interested
and un attentive. Seems that they were more busy with the guest who still had to arrive then with the guest we were already there. Was weird.

The dinner in the evening was terrible.
It was similar to a meal on a flight. Both choice and quality.
Service was really bad too. I needed to ask for a drinks menu, and a drink. This was after my starter had arrived.
The main course was instant plate swapping as soon as I finished the starter.
That makes you feel like you’re rushed.
Consequently I didn’t want to dine on my second evening, as the experience was not enjoyable.
This is really bad for a hotel that is more than USD 400 per night.
Other smaller things…. The cookies that were put out for bedtime…. They were covered in bugs.
Surely with an open ‘nature’ place, exposed food is not a good idea.
Perhaps if they were wrapped then better?

Reviewed Feb 25, 2025The pluses - this is an amazing property the views of the ocean are fantastic and the food is incredible. The rooms are huge and the design is fantastic. The staff is very friendly and they were incredibly helpful fixing a few things.
The minuses - for someone who’s unfortunately scared of lizards and frogs it was a stressful experience. There’s huge gaps around the doors through which insects and anything really can come in, the ceiling also allows for that. First day we found a frog in the bathroom, and we had to sleep with lizards on the walls as there was no way to get them out. I didn’t really sleep well because of this which defeats the purpose of booking such an incredible hotel.

Reviewed Sep 16, 2024La verdad para ser un hotel del Grupo Habita esperábamos mucho más. Aunque digan que la experiencia es vivir más “al natural” la verdad es que tener animales en el cuarto, que se vaya la luz, que el clima no enfríe lo suficiente y el cuarto y la cama siempre tengan como polvo del techo de la palapa no es nada cómodo.
El servicio en la recepción también deja mucho que desear, pero en restaurante el servicio y la comida están excelentes.
El “spa” tampoco es algo que nos haya gustado, el último día nos lo prestaron amablemente pero resulta que no salía ni agua caliente, solo hay 1 regadera para todos y no hay ni dónde poner las cosas para cambiarse.
Tal vez es para personas un poco más abiertas a este tipo de “experiencias” pero para ser un hotel de lujo yo hubiera esperado algo más.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2024The staff was super friendly and the common areas of the hotel are great super pretty, well decorated and relaxing. Dinner food was also pretty good.
The room is not completely closed so there is a lot of insects and animals that get in there which made our night super tough, we were waking up all the time with animal noises, saw a few of them in the room. The room is also super dark, it is a pitty because if they were able to actually close the roles in the room were animals can come in it would be an AMAZING hotel. Also breakfast is pretty poor for a hotel this value and with 4 stars.

Worst service and staff e ever saw . The waiters Thick they are making you a favor . There is absolutely a problem of service at pool area . You need to either go personally at the bar or ask reception for help which takes half a hour to reply . We were twice (2 different days ) informed that the beers choosen were finished. At the end us$150,00 disappeared from my wife’s wallet

Reviewed Jul 2, 2024This hotel was a hidden gem, on a beautiful stretch of sand and amazing architectural design. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the bungalows were perfectly fitted out. This is the type of place to get away for couple days disconnect and relax with a loved one and take long walks along the beach. Highly recommend.

There are not enough staff, they are not trained and you have to look for them to order something. The property in general is dark, not enough light, rooms with a lot of bugs and animals also so so dark, the room swimming pool was so filthy and full of bugs as well. The food is not good at all, not enough options and the fridge in the room does not work properly.

Reviewed Apr 23, 2024The pool. This is the heart of the place and is the overwhelming draw, especially as the ocean has rip currents and is generally unswimmable. The rooms were great and the private pool was great. The food was good although breakfast was just fruit and pastries- for the money we expected a lot more.
The staff were cold and we were told the general manager quit that day. It meant there was one person on service, who was exhausted and generally playing catch up. We got our lunch and they asked if we wanted condiments. That took 30 mins by which time we’d finished eating.
There was little pro activity and it did feel like a rip off. Everything was a cost and was an effort for the staff. Without the pool the hotel is nothing. It’s a design hotel and the staff need to match it.
They got our bill wrong at the end, trying to charge us significantly more than owed for the room- that’s the only feature which is agreed beforehand and they got it wrong. It took a while to sort. In that respect it was all a little chaotic for a setting which is beautiful and isolated.
Wouldn’t stay here again for the rate, especially because of the chaotic staff.
