Beaufort Lodge

Don and Alwyn were brilliant hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and yet they were not intrusive. Great breakfast. Very comfortable room. Brilliant location to walk into Norwich and explore this historic city. We would definitely go back to Beaufort Lodge.

A beautiful house with lovely hosts who were keen to make sure that our stay was perfect. The room (one of three) was large, clean and on a landing that had a sitting room on it with books on the local area. Breakfast was very good with a great selection that was chosen from the night before and certainly enough to keep us going whilst sightseeing. Tea and coffee in the room, along with water, helped us recharge between sightseeing and dinner and there is a pub with a huge Sunday roast next door. It took about 15 minutes to walk to the market square but there is a regular bus service, although you would then miss the independent shops and cafes on the way. Would we stay again? Absolutely Recommend to others? Definitely

Great breakfast, beautiful room, nice town

A lovely welcoming B&B just outside the centre of Norwich with plenty of parking space! Breakfast is pre-ordered and is excellent. Beds a very comfortable and the service is discreet but warm and friendly. Rooms are cosy, clean and homely. We are definately going to stay here again next year- they are not closing, we checked!!

Another lovely stay, such a great location. Nothing too much trouble for the owners. Great breakfasts, Highly recommend.

The couple running Beaufort Lodge are unfortunately retiring at the end of this year so as the dates we wanted were next year we didn’t book in the end.

This was our second visit to Beaufort Lodge and again it was perfect. The location is ideal for Norwich City access, with the centre only a 15 minute walk away. Parking is on site off a relatively quiet residential main road. Our room was comfortable and quiet with a lovely usable seating area just outside our door. The Breakfast room is relaxed being situated alongside a well maintained garden, the food was very tasty, with plenty of coffee or tea and the hosts were extremely accommodating. All in all a great stay.

We spent 2 fabulous nights here. Don and Aylwin were lovely. Allowed us to arrive early to make the most of our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were perfect and they catered for my vegan daughter which was great. If we ever return to Norwich, this is where we would want to stay.

Fabulous comfortable property. Lovely friendly hosts. Super breakfast.

The owners are lovely nothing a problem for them stayed here many times

Friendly welcome, clean and tidy rooms with plenty of coffee and tea in the room. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of welcomed conversation around our stay and what was around the area worth visiting. Excellent host's Short walk into city centre, also on bus route. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Was exactly what we needed, a clean room with a nice cooked breakfast, can't complain.

Superb location and property

A really good stay. Our room was warm, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent. We can fully recommend staying here.

Convenient, friendly B&B easy walking distance to Norwich shopping. Handy parking and lovely breakfast!

It was ideally placed for visiting the city centre. Only a short walk. Great breakfast. Nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely recommend

Lovely couple of nights. Owners very welcoming and friendly. Room was very clean and very comfortable and cosy. Breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be going back...great location for seeing norwich

Everything at the Beaufort B&B was immaculate. We received a kind welcome, a beautiful, quiet room with unexpected sitting area, nice breakfasts, and the location was perfect for us.

Good location for city access, very clean, friendly, great breakfast.

Lovely b&b! A very warm welcome, very clean and comfortable throughout and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious! Great distance from the city centre to walk in and out. I’ve stayed in other establishments in Norwich but would highly recommend Beaufort for very good value and great location.

Perfect for us in every way , great hosts

Everything was really good with no hassle , private entrance , perfect stay

This is a lovely place. The lodge is immaculate and the owners couldn’t be more helpful and friendly.

My stay in Norwich was made so much more incredible by staying at this lovely B&B, excellent service and beautiful breakfast. Room was beautiful, clean and everything I needed and the view of the garden was epic. Owners were really professional and friendly, would highly recommend staying here, very close to walk to the City.

Really lovely guest house ideally located for the city centre. The included breakfast was amazing. We will be back!

A hidden gem situated within walking distance of Norwich city centre. Stay included a delicious freshly prepared hot breakfast. Don and Aylwin went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and hassle-free. A home away from home.

Had a great stay at Beaufort Lodge which is a convenient short walk from town. Parking was easy and on site. The place was immaculate. Breakfast was tasty. Room was comfy though shower not as powerful as I like. That's the only negative, as everything else was really great !

Very nice stay. Breakfast great. Good hosts.

Friendly accommodating hosts

Everything was perfect. Lovely room, super breakfast, charming host. Close to everything and I had a super 6 night stay.

A charming bed and breakfast…great value for money

Beautiful old property, lovely large room and bathroom, great large comfortable bed. Tea and coffee in the room. Couldnt wish for anything else.

Staying for the second time in Beaufort Lodge. Excellent hospitality. Tasty breakfasts. Convenient location. Rooms a bit small but ok for a short stay. Very clean. WiFi was not the best but the hosts tried to make it better during our stay. Overall, a good and comfortable stay.

The hosts were lovely and ever so welcoming. The room was clean and well-maintained as well as comfortable. The choices for breakfast were extensive and the food was amazing. Would recommend to friends and would stay there again.

Beautiful quiet room, lovely decor and very comfy bed. Hosts friendly but not intrusive. I would stay again.

Helpful host.

What a Gem. I have been staying at the Beaufort Lodge over the past 6 / 7 weeks whilst working in Norwich. The hotel is situated very conveniently on the edge of the city centre a few minutes walk away. The rooms are meticulously clean, warm and homely with a choice of breakfasts. Don and Aylwin the hosts are super friendly with nothing to much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and would thoroughly recommend this guest house.

Fantastic again 2nd time staying here lovely breakfasts and toaster on the table, nice touch, and lovely hosts

The hosts were lovely and so welcoming, and the room was very cosy and clean. We used Beaufort Lodge as a base for a day of exploring in Norwich and meeting friends for dinner in the evening. Great location with easy accessibility to the city centre- we would definitely come back!

Friendly and comfortable stay in a clean room with a good bed.

Large comfortable bedroom and bathroom . Excellent hosts , it was my wife's special birthday and they gave her a card and a box of chocolates , which was very nice and much appreciated . Very good breakfast in the lovely breakfast room. Easy walking into the city centre and a nice pub a few minutes walk away . Would definitely stay there again when in the area .

Wonderful in every way.

Fantastic service from owners, and could not ask for better service, breakfast was the besy I have had and the table toaster was great

Outstanding clean and comfortable accommodations, convenient location, wonderful hosts. Like staying with friends in their nice townhouse.

This is a great place to stay. The room was beautifully presented with everything you need. There is plenty of choice on the breakfast menu and the quality is excellent. I stayed for two nights while attending an event at the local university and I wish I could have stayed longer.

Delightful couple running the place. Wonderful breakfast prepared exactly to your liking. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our few days at Beaufort Lodge. We had a warm welcome and a comfortable stay. Breakfast was great - a good range of food available (selection made the night before), freshly cooked, served very efficiently by Alwyn in the bright, spacious breakfast room. We enjoyed our chats!

Very much a family feel, exceptionally friendly and great service. 15 minute walk into central Norwich but does have 2 great pubs within 200 yards of the hotel.

Lovely room and great breakfast, will stay there again if we are back in Norwich

We've visited Beaufort Lodge on an annual basis for many years, and any new guests will find many good reasons for also giving repeat business. The welcome from Don and Aylwin is always warm, and we're well looked after. The room is very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast (courtesy of Chef Don) fantastic. See you in 2024 and beyond.

Warm welcome and a clean and tidy room. Also available is a lounge area with an excellent view of the garden. Breakfast was good and with a view of that tidily kept garden. Short walk into the city or catch the bus, bus stop a few yards away.

Wonderful experience in cosy comfortable B&B. Made very welcome and great breakfast. Would highly recommend ......will be back

Great location which was not too noisy, with comfortable room and excellent service and breakfast.

Wonderful, relaxed and in hurried. Spotlessly clean. Very welcoming and professional

The welcome from the hosts was very friendly, the accommodation was very comfortable. We were offered fresh milk on arrival to accompany a cup of tea and enjoyed a very good cooked breakfast on both mornings.

Friendly hosts, nice room, excellent breakfast

Excellent vfm. Easy walking distance to the city centre.

A two night stay whilst we visited favourite places in Norwich and the wider County. Received a very warm welcome, everything about the room and our stay was explained and help with finding places to eat was offered. To be able to park right outside was a bonus and a relief that our ridiculously huge car would fit - no height restrictions that so many larger establishments have. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Very homely and spotlessly clean. Easy walk into the City and the Earlham Pub across the road was great for food on one night when we had run out of energy! Highly recommend and we will be going back for sure.

Beaufort Lodge is a little gem of a find! Friendly and attentive hosts, meticulously clean and very comfortable. What more could you ask.

The owners were very welcoming and were keen to ensure that my stay was as comfortable as possible. Comfy, clean room and excellent breakfast.

We had a fantastic 1 night stay on 16th December 2022. The room was clean, comfortable and warm, with a nice ensuite bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, with no traffic noise. The hosts were welcoming and friendly and allowed us to leave our car on site after checking out so we could avoid parking charges in town. Breakfast was lovely - cooked to order, with a large range of items available. Well located for a short walk into Norwich city centre. We would recommend Beaufort Lodge to anyone coming to Norwich.

Very nice place and hosts

Great B&B, well-located: about 15 min walk into central Norwich, easy to access by car with space for 3 cars. Lovely breakfast (specially the porridge), comfortable beds, hot shower with good water pressure, good storage in bedroom 2. Welcoming and friendly owners. I would definitely stay here again

Just stayed for 2 nights. The owners, Don and Alwyn were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Lovely, comfortable room and a great breakfast. Free parking. Great location for walking into Norwich City Centre. Would stay here again and recommend to friends.

We very much enjoyed our recent two night stay. Room 1 has beautiful William Morris wallpaper and a generally restful atmosphere. The location is ideal for exploring Norwich - it's a short stroll to the centre of town. Because there are only three guest rooms the place has a 'home from home' quality. (It's also possible to park in front of Beaufort Lodge.) Alwyn was also most helpful in terms of suggesting places we might want to explore. There are some smart-looking pubs nearby, but my partner and I found a Turkish restaurant less than 10 minutes walk away.

This place was absolutely brilliant, so warm and welcoming as soon as we got there. Great breakfast in the morning with a variety of choice. Even better, we ordered a takeaway and they gave us plates and forks to use without hesitation. Beds were so comfy to say it was a hotel / B&B (even comfier than my own). Room would always be heated on a night too which was great. Would not fault the place!

Very nice owners, good breakfast and comfy room.

Great location a ten minute walk to city centre a lovely warm welcome from our hosts. A clean double room with ensuite we were in room 1. Immediately next door is 2 with a small sitting room on the landing. A kettle was provided with tea, coffee and fresh milk on our first day. Hairdryer in the drawer. Good shower and somewhere to put wash bags. We were left a form to fill in to select the items we wanted for Breakfast which was freshly cooked unlike chain hotels. Individual toaster allows you to have hot toast a nice touch. We were here for my Birthday and had booked to see Agatha Christies Mirror cracked from side to side at the theatre we ate in the Black Horse nearby. We also ate Thai at The Vine pub. Visited Norwich cathedral and Norwich museum and took wander through Elm Hill. Definitely recommend staying here.

Very warm welcome, comfortable bed and bedroom, with thoughtful addition of two easy chairs, plus the option to use a guest lounge. Fantastic breakfast in the lovely garden view room, and location, just a few minutes walk to Cathedrals, theatres, and all town centre shopping and museums.

Immaculate b&b, incredible attention to detail, friendly, comfortable and a great breakfast.

The property is located within an easy walk of the city centre and has the luxury of parking. The house is spotlessly clean - my room was spacious with a really comfy bed and a very welcome fan during last week's mini heatwave. Hosts are super friendly and served a delicious breakfast both mornings with lots of choice. Won't look anywhere else to stay next time. Thank you!

Spotless, comfortable, good breakfast, short walk to city centre and all sights.

Perfect location with a lovely breakfast included would definitely recommend

Such a lovely spacious room overlooking the garden. Our hosts were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was superb. Very clean, super friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Beaufort Lodge was in a great location.Within easy walking distance to the city centre,so no hassle finding parking. Our bedroom was bright, comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the breakfast room over looking an attractive garden. The owner was friendly and very helpful.Would thoroughly recommend Beaufort Lodge for an enjoyable break.

Comfortable, welcoming. Would recommend to anyone

Fine

Our room was very cosy, clean, warm and very comfortable. The proprietors were friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. Little details gave the place that feeling of home from home. I had a spectacular accident with the tomato ketchup which got onto the carpet but the owner was great about it!

We liked the friendly service very clean and well equipped bedroom and a lovely breakfast

Very professional and friendly

Excellent

Fabulous stay, they were really lovely and kind. Made sure if we wanted breakfast and how we can order it. Gorgeous room, very comfortable. Very pleasant All round

This is a gem of a BnB. Comfortable and clean. Friendly and relaxed hosts. Great location for walking into Norwich centre.

Lovely old town house, just three rooms available..makes it feel like you are at home. Warm pleasant atmosphere with exceptional hosts. Delicious and large breakfast with lots of options. Spacious en suite room, excellent location to Norwich town with a very nice old pub serving delicious food next door. (Black Lion) We have no complaints and wouldnt hesitate recommending this hotel to anyone

A lovely bed and breakfast. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Very close to town centre would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. Room was big and spacious, very clean with nice size ensuite. Breakfast was lovely with a wide choice to meet everyones needs. Hosts were brilliant, they couldnt do enough for you. Very close to Norwich centre, just a short walk in. Close to a very good pub serving lovely food

Very good place to stay and very handy for the centre of Norwich.

Absolutely loved our stay, the bed was comfortable, shower was great and the breakfast was delicious.

Beaufort lodge is a lovelly old house of interesting charachter with good sized rooms. You get a nice breakfast that you choose the evening beforehand. Parkimg is very hard to find near the city so that was very handy. There are only 3 rooms so your hosts (who are a very kind mature couple) have the time to look after you exceptionally well.

Great B&B. Lovely host. Good breakfast. Perfect. Our visit to the Plantation Garden 5 minutes walk down the road was an unexpected pleasure.

Very friendly, clean and welcoming.

Lovely small B&B with welcoming owners. It’s a short walk to the city centre. The room was well furnished and spotless. Breakfast in the morning was lovely with a great view into the beautifully kept garden.

Great location. Hosts were lovely. Breakfast was great too.

Lovely couple running this accommodation. Spotless room , best nights sleep in a hotel I have ever had . Fantastic breakfast . Have booked again and will use as my base whenever in Norwich . Highly recommend.

Lovely B&B. Only three bedrooms so it is quiet, personal and very comfortable. Delicious breakfast taken in a large dining area overlooking a well kept garden. Upstairs is a lounge for guests to relax.

Stayed for a weekend in Norwich with a friend and had a wonderful time at Beaufort Lodge. Aylwin and Don were warm and welcoming, and cooked a fantastic breakfast (of which there were many choices). We arrived way earlier than check in time and were able to leave our bags and explore the city, which was only a 10-15 minute walk / a short bus ride away. Our room overlooked their beautiful garden and was very comfortable - slept like a log both nights! Aylwin gave fantastic recommendations for food and places to explore near Norwich. We went to a different seaside town based on her suggestion and were not disappointed! Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back again.

Great place 10 min walk your in the centre of Norwich. Tidy , Quiet, excellent breakfast, all in all a great place to stay.

Clean, tidy comfortable accommodation, and a very polite and attentive host.

Beaufort Lodge is in a great location from the city. Nice and quiet at night with a comfortable bed, bedroom & en-suite clean, hot water for shower. Love the little snug outside the two upstairs bedrooms. Very friendly & helpful hosts. Decor in keeping with the house with a beautiful garden & off street parking at the front. Very nice full English breakfast to start the day. Would stay again if in that area.

Lovely friendly B&B, made to feel very welcome. Delicious breakfast.
