Sono mancate alcune attenzioni nella stanza (abbiamo dovuto richiedere che la macchinetta del caffè fosse sostituita, e nella suite ritz mi aspetto anche un servizio più presente).

The club lounge

The Ritz Chengdu is a beautiful property with a great view. The location was good. Luca was so helpful and went above & beyond to provide amazing recommendations. He was the highlight of our stay and very helpful especially for an English speaker. Great value for a Ritz property. Big gym with all equipment and stretch machines. My husband enjoyed the 5 free meals at the club.

The rest of hotel staff didn’t speak the best English but everyone tried. Spa was busy on women side.

What I absolutely loved was Diptique cosmetics. The location was ok, it was not great but I knew what I was booking. The staff was wonderful. I must mention the lady who was in charge if our room. She saw i had emoty cups of takeout tea in the room and that i made some tea in the room so she left a note and extra tea. Also, the staff at the pool/spa part od the hotel was really polite and ready to help. Breakfast was very very good, with lots of options for different types of guests.

Unfortunately, we only had a short stay at the Ritz-Carlton; the décor, drinks, and coffee were excellent. It was a shame we couldn't enjoy the fantastic buffet due to a lack of time. The staff are friendly. I would like to extend a very special thank you to Edison, the bellboy on the first floor. He was incredibly friendly and spoke excellent English; he explained everything to us and was extremely helpful—assisting us with the reservation for Panda Park and providing ongoing support throughout our stay. The company is lucky to have such an employee. We would definitely come back.

The elegance, the attention to detail, the exceptional room and the amazing rest in one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. The Ritz is always a guarantee, but a truly great stay should never be taken for granted. A special thank you to Luca, who welcomed us and took care of us from the moment we arrived, always kind and professional.

Breakfast is too chaotic and not relaxing. It is not pleasant to start the day with that level of stress. We appreciated the effort to keep children in the dedicated kids’ area.

Für Europäische Gäste ist das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis einmalig. Besonders erwähnen möchten wir die sehr kompetente und zuvorkommende Betreuung von Lucca - er hat uns schon zu Beginn sehr nett begrüsst und war immer mit Rat und Tat zur Stelle. Mitarbeiter mit dieser Service Orientierung sind für ein Hotel wie das Ritz Carlton unbezahlbar.

It is quite far from the main shopping and restaurant places. So you need a taxi to get to get around.

We loved our stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Chengdu. The hotel's location was excellent, and we were so well looked after by Mr Luca Spatafora from the guest service. As a family travelling from Europe with a small baby, it was a real comfort to be assisted by a guest service agent who understood our language and preferences so well - it made communication so much easier. From the moment we arrived, Luca helped us settle in quickly, making sure we knew our way around all the hotel's amenities. More than that, he became our personal guide to the city - recommending what to visit and how to best get around Chengdu. He even set up a WeChat for us, sending thoughtful, timely tips on local attractions and restaurants tailored to our interests. Luca gave us such wonderfully personal service throughout our stay at this beautiful hotel, and we couldn't be more grateful.

Great service and professionalism the moment you step out of the car. Everything is on point. The lobby is impeccable and staff extremely friendly and welcoming. The room is huge and very well equipped. The only downfall is that our air conditioning in the room is not on par. The engineer even came to look and said it’s blowing at 16degree Celsius but the room is measuring 24 degree Celsius - which means it’s not ventilating right. He got us a fan. We just left it as it is but it wasn’t our prefer temperature and sleep wasn’t great because of it. The air conditioning in the elevators were great.

My family and I had such a great experience at the Ritz Carlton Chengdu. We visited several cities in China and this hotel was the highlight of our trip. Our concierge, Austin went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay. He reached out to us a few days before arrival to ask if we needed any tours planned, and was such a big help with making suggestions for our stay. He arranged our transfers to and from the hotel and it didn't stop there - he met us at the train station and was in the lobby at 5AM for our departure with packed breakfast. I hope Austin never leaves as we will be back and we will request Austin specifically. Outside of the great service from Austin, our kids were treated like royalty. We got the Ritz Kids package and they had a tent, robes and bedroom slippers waiting in the room. It was my 2 year old daughter's birthday and we got a cake delivered to the room. The Michelin restaurant was top tier and our suite was great. Food and drinks in the Club Lounge were also excellent. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chengdu!

Die Lage ist ok, wir haben zu 95% Taxi genommen. Einmal sind wir zur U-Bahn gelaufen. Es ist doch ein Stückchen zum Laufen. Das Frühstück hat uns gefallen, vor allem NICHT scharf. Es hat uns gerettet. Es war nicht einfach in Chengdu nicht scharfes Essen zu finden. Das Personal an der Rezeption und im Restaurant ist sehr freundlich.

Im Gegensatz zum Personal an der Rezeption und im Restaurant waren das Personal im Schwimmbad sehr unflexibel und unfreundlich. Mein Sohn hat durch die Unflexibilität eine Erkältung bekommen. Die Zimmer riechen nach Rauch! Das ist wirklich inakzeptabel. Der Room Service variiert nach Personen. Wir hatten eine Suite, der kleine Ablagertisch am Flur wurde überhaupt nicht sauber gemacht. Auch die Vorbereitung für die Nacht war nicht einheitlich. Mal wird es vorbereitet, mal nicht, mal gibt es ein Glas fürs Wasser, mal nicht.

After a long journey from the U.S., I arrived at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu late in the evening. Stepping off the elevator on the 25th floor, I was exhausted and hungry. I was warmly greeted by Luca Spatafora, who immediately escorted me to the Club Lounge to check me in, knowing that dinner service was about to end at 8:00 p.m. Within minutes, I was seated by the window, taking in the city's beautiful night skyline, with a plate of freshly prepared fried pork from the chef and a cold drink in front of me. I couldn't help but think, "Wow, The Ritz-Carlton never disappoints." This is my third stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu in the past 12 months, and I continue to be amazed by the exceptional service, genuine hospitality, and outstanding amenities. The Club Lounge offers a wonderful selection of food and beverages throughout the day, making it a great place to work, relax, or simply unwind. You know what they say—it's always the people who make the difference. Every staff member I encountered took the time to sincerely ask about my stay. Luca encouraged me to point out any areas where they could improve, demonstrating a genuine and unparalleled commitment to providing the best possible guest experience. Their attention to detail is amazing. After noticing that I had brought a book to read in the lounge, Kate thoughtfully left a few bookmarks in my room. Vicky and Mencia kindly helped me book shows and tours during my stay. The chefs even remembered my dietary allergy from my previous visit. Excellent location close to everything that matters in Chengdu. Variety of restaurants in the vicinity that merit a visit including a very popular seafood restaurant just across the road and a tofu one 300m on the opposite direction. Excellent if slightly dated room. Very pleasant service. Excellent breakfast. Definitely recommended.

Our stay at the Ritz Carlton was nothing short of fabulous! Everything from the room to the breakfast spread exceeded our expectations. A special mention to Lucas who was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Made some great memories!

The service was excellent.. from the moment we stepped into the Ritz the hospitality was evident. We received good recommendations on what to do around the city from Luca on our first day and the warmth hospitality carried right through the day we left. Sadly we don’t have all the names of all staff who greeted us.

The area outside the Ritz had a funny smell when it rained particularly- not sure what is the issue but this disappeared as soon as you entered the ground floor

Location was fantastic. Hotel had a professional staff who always had a smile on thier face and were quite proactive in helping out the guests. I also enjoyed the food especial their sichuan pizza which is a blend of east & west.

First time staying in a Ritz Carlton for me and, on the basis of this experience, it won't be the last. The hotel is close to Chunxi Street and Tianfu square in the centre of the city. It was about one hour by taxi from Tianfu airport (268 Chinese Yuan), the bulk of the journey completed on quiet toll roads. Good value from a European perspective. Concierge staff greet you on the ground floor and then reception itself is on the 25th floor. Excellent gym and spa is on the 23rd floor and the main restaurant is on the 25th, though I declined the pigs brains option in the buffet which was extensive for both local and western palates. More upmarket dining options on the 26th and 27th floors. Room was spacious with good air conditioning and no issue with street noise. Kudos to Edison from the concierge team, who routinely went the extra mile to enhance my stay.

While waiting to check in, we met with a guest relations personnel Luca Spatafora and he was so helpful in recommending local places for a late lunch, great neighborhoods to walk around and get coffee and cooking classes. The concierge team was excellent too, walking from the ground floor location, through 25/F lobby, up to my room to give me the addresses of 3 steamed bun locations for breakfast. Rooms are big and service excellent.

The suite was a perfect size for a family of four. The beds were big and comfortable. Entire room was extremely clean and the hotel smells nice everywhere. Service was excellent as well, every hotel staff was quick to help and friendly. Special credits for the breakfast buffet crew, everyone was so attentive to our needs and will even offer treats for the kids! A luxurious and memorable stay overall! Will definitely choose The Ritz Carlton again when we come back to Chengdu.

The hotel is fantastic! We really enjoyed the stay, perfection almost in every detail - starting from the room, ending with the SPA and breakfast. The room service is delicious. Breakfast is fantastic - offering a big range of different tastes. The staff is professional. Pillow menu is amazing - this was the best sleep we have ever had. The view is breathtaking. The SPA is not big, but it is separated in men/women zones.

Check-in time officially starts at 3PM, we arrived at 2:40PM and there were no room for us, the room was ready only after 5PM, which was quite inconvenient for us. No one offered even a welcome tea. There was a used cigarette in a bathroom when we entered the room (and we are not smokers), so we had to wait for the next day cleaning to ask to throw it away.

I had heard good things about the Ritz Carlton in Chengdu, which is why I decided to book a stay there for the last couple of days in Chengdu. Needless to say, the Ritz-Carlton Chengdu exceeds all expectations. From arrival to departure, the service felt incredibly personalized. The guest managers—especially Luca and Bruce—took amazing care of me, offering fantastic insights into the city and making sure I was perfectly comfortable. Kitchen staff handled my dietary needs (I'm vegetarian) perfectly well. Lobby and other staff were always kind and professional, and the quality of the service was always high. A special shoutout to Mr. Luca Spatafora, whose professional, proactive, and caring approach deserves highest praise. The room was stellar, any minor requests were handled with immediate class and professionalism, and the Club Lounge was the perfect sanctuary to unwind between activities. I wish Luca and the hotel much success, and I highly recommend staying here!

Food and cleanliness and location

Our 2nd stay after 2 years. Overall the hotel concierge service at the club level has deteriorated to some extent. We needed some assistance with our domestic flights reservations (seat assignment) and they had to call to the ground floor staff for assistance. During our first stay in 2024, the club lounge staff were more ‘hands on’ and had better customer interaction and service. The food serve at the club lounge was still as good if not one of the best we had in all our China travels. Overall highly recommended stay for the food and drinks offered at the club lounge. That was the man reason for choosing to come back to the Ritz. The hotel room corridor and lift areas was a bit dim. The deco of the room was dated. If you looking for a modern design room layout, consider somewhere else.

A real 5 stars hotel with excellent amenities and beautiful rooms. Only the room access (needing two separate lifts) is inconvenient. Beautiful breakfast. Good location. Very reasonable pricing. Recommended.

Location is ideal and convenient while not too bustling. The hotel is beautiful, very clean with wonderful ambience. Our room is relatively large with spacious clean toilet. Bed was very conformable with multiple pillows. Breakfast was really sumptuous with very wide spread of delicious food and even after 6 days we still loved it. The Chinese restaurant Li Xuan was truly great and inexpensive....we dined there at least 5 times! Above all Ritz Carlton staff was superb, very courteous, professional and helpful in particular front office staff Mr Luca Spatafora. We will get back, soon.

Seemed very quiet at the restaurants and bar! However, people were smoking in the dining room floors which wasn’t nice!

Der Service ist auf höchstem Niveau: aufmerksam, professionell und gleichzeitig herzlich. Die Ausstattung des Hotels lässt keine Wünsche offen, und auch kulinarisch wird hier absolute Spitzenklasse geboten – jedes Gericht war ein Genuss. Besser geht es wirklich nicht. Ein ganz besonderes Lob möchten wir an Luca am Empfang aussprechen. Er hat uns jederzeit hervorragend informiert und uns mit viel Engagement bei der Planung unserer Aktivitäten unterstützt. Dank ihm wurde unser Aufenthalt noch einmal deutlich angenehmer und persönlicher.
