Debden Guest House

Room was well prepared, bedding, tea and coffee, clean fridge etc.

Bathroom was not squeeky clean, and there was no extractor fan in the bathroom therefore it smelled mouldy

One thing they swap room for us because was very hot very smelly couldn’t complain on the day as we had situation to deal ! House very dirty dated pillows yellow sheets mouldy after even wash was hair other people really need update all property very bad

Very dirty very dirty didn’t take any pictures because I know other people will do it for me! old lady was shouting in the morning we was getting ready our daughter was changing she open doors to give us black bag wtf 🤬 it was 10 min before 10 am guest leave clean room

Quite and comfortable

Good atmosphere

Very remote

Car park Nice lady on the property cost of stay

It was hard to check in and they were not ready for me, or tell me or show me where is the room. The entrance is from the back, dark and rundown. The TV, fan and remote was full of dust and remote didn't even work. The bug on the bathroom wall and stayed on the bed as everything else seemed old and dusty.

Great location near Heathrow airport. Basic but comfortable bed and clean room. Check in was quite easy and straight forward. Good for 1 or 2 nights maximum but probably wouldn’t stay longer.

The bathroom is shared which was a bit tedious as there are a lot of rooms. Shower was clean enough and worked ok.

Night sleep was calm.

Shared bathroom. You have climbed the stairs to go to the bathroom. If your room is on the ground floor.

The accommodation is in a convenient location for my place of work - so I appreciate the distance and the area. There was a fan in the room, a good thing when it was so hot. The wifi worked well.

The TV didn't work despite the owner coming out to 'fix' the problem - I couldn't watch the news and I couldn't watch the England match. If the accommodation advertises a facilty, please make sure it works. There was an unpleasant smell from the bathroom and this needs attending to.

Great value, basic but clean nice to have a fridge in the room and tea making facilities.

Blinds in the room could do with curtains.....lots of windows and the Blinds did not keep any sunlight out

The rooms, area and beds

Nothing it was all fine

Location

Ants everywhere room needed decorating

Good location, near the bus stop for connecting the tube train . Can safely park our car , worth money paying.

Close proximity to Hillingdon Hospital

No air conditioning. Shabby interior. I had asked for early check-in, but apparently, this caused the preparatory housekeeping to be done hastily and a bit sloppily.

Room was large (triple room) with an equally large en suite (great shower). Large fridge and a standing fan both of which were much appreciated during this current hot weather. Cutlery, crockery, etc & a microwave all provided. Although on a main road, the house is far enough away not to be bothered by traffic noise. Others staying were respectfully quiet. Cleanliness inside was superb.

Having to speak to the female host via a doorbell before being allowed inside! Being a lone older female I do understand about security but.......

bathroom had no extractor fan or any ventilation, very humid and damp, some signs of black mold in bathroom ceiling, the water mains pressure for the shower was also abysmal, with the valve fully open all we got was a mild trickle

Bed linens were clean and bed was comfy. Fan was already in the room to help with heat. Free parking was a bonus. Staff were friendly

Room generally needed cleaning thoroughly- this would prevent us staying again. It was also in need of general improvements, lots of details broken / dirty / need replacing. When we arrived, garden maintenance man was smoking on a chair outside our room’s window which was open. So the room smelled of smoke. It was also further from the tube station than anticipated. Still only around £14 Uber each way but more than we’d thought.

The property was as advertised, descent place for the price paid. Late check-in was arranged. Ample parking space. Fan was in the room it helped to keep the air flowing.

Kettle could be replaced

We just needed somewhere for three adults to sleep and freshen up. It was easy to find from the motorway, the owners were very understanding and accommodating of our possible late arrival. Free parking was appreciated, no issue finding a space. Check in and out was straightforward. I liked that it was non smoking throughout and clean. Wifi provision met our needs and there were plenty of fresh towels. There was a good sized flat screen tv that I could connect a fire stick to and plenty of electric sockets available. The fridge was handy for storing drinks in to cool.

The room is around the back of the house, and the path leading to it was somewhat overgrown with brambles, nettles and thistles in places. On reaching the room, there was nowhere to put clothes etc, no storage other than coat hooks. The shower is dangerous, I slipped getting out the first time and had to grab the towel rack/radiator to stop myself from falling. The pressure fluctuates and there was limited control over temperature, so much so that the second time, I showered with the door open so that I could move out of the way when it turned scalding hot. The mattress on the double bed was incredibly noisy, every time my son changed position it crackled and creaked. The single bed that I slept on had a very cheap feeling mattress which may have been suitable for a small child but not for the weight of an adult. It was directly underneath the tv, which was odd. The room was too warm and stuffy at night, even with the windows open. Perhaps the owners could have provided a fan if we'd asked but it was in the early hours when it became a problem so damp towels helped ease the discomfort.

Check in and out was easy, location good for the Airport

Beds worn and uncomfortable, rooms in desperate need of cleaning and updating as stains on roof, wallpaper missing, really old furniture.

Correspondence with the owner was swift. The room has everything we needed.

The sink stench of rotten stuff or puke it filled up the room if you leave the bathroom door open. Please pour something down the sink to kill bacteria or rid of that smell. The bathroom foot mat was used by previous guests. This should've been remove prior to me checking in. However, we managed to grab a new one from the cleaner the next day.

Spacious and clean. Transportation.

Nothing to say.

Very close to hotel.

It was all good.

都很好

都很好

Comfy beds. Very clean incl fridge, microwave, floor, en suite. Main radiator was working. The heavy doors didn't bang :)))

The en suite was very cold, as the radiator didn't come on. One bedside light was broken. One ceiling spot light was broken.

Nice

Good, friendly staff

Need a hand towel in the bathroom or else a hand towel not a bath towel in the room

Absolutely perfect for what we needed. Owner was very helpful, the room was spotless.

It is lovely place to stay for family, spacious room and good parking.

Location and car park only

Dirty, dingy, old, needs a serious facelift

Central, to everything. And left you in peace.

Was very impressed owner helped very quickly wen we had issues with tv

Les lieux propres et accessibilité au logement tardivement.

Rien

Property was fine no staff onsite though as there was a domestic violence incident upstairs above me that the police were called out to twice while I was there

Police called out twice to domestic violence attended but no staff on site

value for money

nothing

Easy check in, clean & cosy room.

It was quite cold in the bedroom.

Its location to Heathrow was handy. Free parking.

The room for 4 people was too small and the beds weren’t very comfortable. Nowhere to put luggage.

Not amazing but also very cheap with loads of parking. You get what you pay for and this was real value so wasnt expecting a lot. Totally fine for one nights stay for a single person or couple. Having a fridge was a nice touch.

We appreciated the good location and helpful host who approved our stay very late in the evening.

Unfortunately though, this must have been the dirtiest hotel I have ever slept in. The floors are not mopped or swept and they are filled with hair. There is hair in the shower and on top of the bedding as well as inside the bedding. We also found what looked like dried snot inside the bed. It seemed very apparent that the bedding was not changed. The lining of the bed’s base was stained with blood. The walls were filthy. The kettle smelt strange and was dirty. The one knife that was given was still smothered in food. The mattresses are uncomfortable and noisy. Perhaps the room we received was accidentally not serviced.

Good large room only downside is the shared bathroom

Was close to where we needed to go.

Dirty bed linen, mould that had been half cleaned off, lack of cups and cutlery, dirty bathroom, toilet seat broken, toilet constantly dripping into the bowl, dirty shower with very low water pressure to take a shower if you dare to. No personal attendance when arriving, just spoke to someone through a ring doorbell.

The room was spacious, clean and very quiet. The owner was accommodating, responsive and considerate even if we came late. The front of the house has a large space for cars can accommodate plenty of cars with fence. I highly recommend this place.

Location, facilities.

Issue with TV.

Location

The room was dusty and there was human hair every where even on the bed sheets and shower

Easy and convenient check in and check out. Communication from Manager re cleaner absence. Being able to have a family room for 5 of us. Often hotels have a max of 4 in a room and we are limited to choices to stay as a family of 4. The location was very convenient for what we needed. Lovely large towels. Fridge useful. Clean room.

Was very noisy when others staying above and doors shutting in the corridors at early hours. Bathroom light unable to turn off meaning light shining through door into bedroom at night. Beds really uncomfortable- could feel the springs on some and quite hard. Very warm in the room despite fan being provided. Minimal tea facilities- ie no options for green tea or camomile, just standard teabags and would have been nice to have biscuits. No hand towels provided.

Very basic but fulfilled a need to sleep

Room is decent for a family of 5 and the price you pay. Definitely a bit more attention to detail on cleaning would help but it wasn’t bad. Sadly whoever was in the room above us was really noisy late in the evening and also very early in the morning dragging cases around and banging doors. Would happily stay again if we had an early flight to catch

Really nice and clean room. Friendly and helpful staff.

Proprete.. Laccuiel

Les autres location qui faisait du bruit.

For a short stay before my flight, it’s a good choice to stay in. Just 11 minutes drive away from Heathrow airport T5.The price is reasonable.

Easy check in and parking. Good size family room. Fan is room was a bonus. Good value for money. The nice cheery smile and thank you for staying from lady when we left. 🙂

Needs a little work in places but nothing that caused any problems.

very close to airport

room is too small

Good location for the university, hospital and close to Chinese restaurant.

Bedsheets in one room were marked. Light pollution in one room made sleeping difficult. Partitioning between rooms lets noise through. The fire alarm was not labelled - not sure if it existed. Porcelain bowl was chipped.

The hosts were truly forward coming and supportive!

Very friendly welcoming, very comfortable had all the things you need for an overnight stay. Pleased they had a fridge and a microwave which was very handy

Comfy bed, good shower, easy check-in.

The room had large damp patches on the ceiling, the flooring was worn, radiator paint was badly chipped at the bottom, bedroom window was cracked from top to bottom, electric socket was lose on the wall, bed side lamp was damaged, the shower pressure came and went, the temperature of the water.varied whilst you were using the shower the room could fo with being redecorated. Also we never saw any staff, communication was done over the intercom system.

It was very easy to get to the room and the staff were very nice.

Would be nice to have a fan in the room especially on the hot days. Also my shower just stopped working while I was in there, I appreciate that it’s a house converted into lots of different rooms but it does require a better boiler/plumbing system to accommodate the multiple rooms.

Beds where comfy . Had the facilities you need. Very clean

Nothing

Room very tired, hot water stopped running from tap in the morning, very disappointed.

Place is rundown. Tiny rooms. No ac Windows broken. Tv didnt work. Bugs in room and mold in bathroom. No laundry on site as stated in their description. The only interaction with staff is through a doorbell microphone. The only thing good was it was quiet.

Good location near a bus stop. Room was basic, but clean. Owners were pleasant to correspond with and allowed us to pay extra for early check-in when we first arrived. A really nice large park across the road quickly became a favourite place for us to go!

Shower low water pressure

Ideal location for what we needed. Rooms were spacious and well equipt. Parking was great. Host was very helpful over the intercom system and check in/out was very quick and easy. Beds were comfortable, bed linen and towels were spotlessly clean.

Could do with a freshen up. Bathrooms were a little run down (window ledge wood was rotten, mould around edges etc), low water pressure meant having a shower was impossible and unfortunately the fridge in one of our rooms (we had 4 rooms) was mouldy following an old spillage and smelled so bad we had to keep it closed.
