Front desk personnel were very friendly and quick to trouble-shoot.
Just a great hotel. Doesn't look like much from the outside but always great service, good rooms, comfy beds and very clean. I travel to Fort MacMurray often to visit my son and it's my preferred accommodation.
I like the place, the cleanliness, and the staff are nice. One more thing is there is a stove inside the unit
Not accepting debit/ visa card for deposits
Nice clean rooms, very comfortable. Once I found a staff member they corrected the issue quickly.
Had issues with our room, looked around the lobby for 20 mins for a worker. Called front desk numerous times and it took a long time to finally get in contact with a staff member. And the breakfast was very disappointing.
Underground parking.
shower water could be stronger. Workers or engineers usually work at site. Need a strong shower after a day work.
Professional staff and cleanliness
The vending machine (not owned by the hotel) is confusing.. Says in small letters cash is $0.25 less than posted amount.. in big letters exact change only… I was sad I didn’t get snacks
Beautiful building inside with nice atrium!
Staircases needed renovations
Underground parking and elevators
The toilets were too low, the bathroom was dirty, and there was poor workmanship on renovations,
Very quite and confy.
Breakfast could have been improved.
I’m satisfied with the atmosphere and customer service.
Actual Price was little higher than the online prices
Not really
Staff is very pleasant and the room is smaller than usual but definitely adequate.
It will be much better when a hot breakfast is available.
I booked this hotel about six hours before arriving due to a last-minute trip to Fort McMurray in the middle of January. The hotel was quiet and the room was clean and adequately appointed for one night. The bed was very comfortable.
I arrived with a pick-up truck and parking was a problem. With no driveway, and snow piles on the street, there was no where to temporarily park the vehicle during check-in. There is a small covered parking area (for about five vehicles) along a back lane, but if that is full I don't know what options there are. The complimentary breakfast turned out to be a bag with a hard boiled egg, yogurt, muffin of unknown age and a pre-manufactured egg sandwich with a label saying "packaged August 26, 2025", five months previous.

The room was spacious and well maintained, with a large and practical desk that was particularly convenient. Basic amenities such as a refrigerator and microwave, although dated, were fully functional, and the room included plates, which made it easy to eat takeaway meals. Natural daylight significantly improved the overall brightness of the room, and two complimentary bottles of water were a thoughtful touch.
Several elements of the room felt outdated. The television was old and did not support HDMI connections or streaming services such as Netflix. The coffee machine and alarm clock were also old, with the clock showing the incorrect time. Artificial lighting in the room was rather dim, making the space feel somewhat dull in the evening. Additionally, breakfast did not meet expectations, as it was provided in a takeaway bag rather than as a buffet or in a designated breakfast area.
Very clean room and facility, staff top notch, winter in Firt McMurray hotel has heated underground parking the best
Everything was great
The underground parking
The staff and the breakfast and the price
Room was very spacious
Mini kitchen in room, some people can start a fire or trigger the alarm this shouldn't be there. Also breakfast was terrible, no option for vegeterians.
Kind staff . Very accommodating. Prime is my new go to for when im in fort McMurray
Friendly staff Clean rooms
My stay was pleasant and comfortable
Good location, very clean rooms.
Parking for a big truck is very limited. In my case I had a 1 ton, and a 20 ft trailer.
Great value
Clean, spacious, comfortable bed.
No hot breakfast
Staff are extremely kind and pleasant. They are very helpful and quick to resolve any issues
Liked the local

Secure underground parking lot , comfortable bed and decent size tv. Friendly staff.
I chose this hotel for a business trip because it advertised a hot breakfast and an on-site pub/restaurant, ideal for relaxing after long finance meetings without needing to go out. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish.Upon arrival, our room was extremely hot—close to 100°F. While that might be appreciated in the middle of a Fort McMurray winter, it was far too much for a 23°C day. We were moved to another room, supposedly an executive suite, which was still uncomfortably warm. My wife was told maintenance would come by, but no one ever showed up, leaving her waiting for hours. To make matters worse, the restaurant and bar were closed, forcing us to walk into town for dinner. Back in the room, even the alarm clock was set to the wrong time. The next morning, there was no sign of the promised hot breakfast—or any breakfast at all. The juice machine was broken, and the “to-go” breakfast offered by reception consisted of a yogurt, muffin, apple, and an expired bacon and cheese biscuit, which my wife, being Muslim, couldn’t eat. The apples provided were also rotten. The only tea options were peppermint or green tea—no regular breakfast tea or Earl Grey available.Service was equally disappointing. Lila at the front desk was dismissive and rude, spending over an hour on the phone instead of addressing our concerns. Overall, the experience was frustrating and far below expectations. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere—Stonebridge Suites, for example
Amazin
Exceptional staff. I always have a great stay when I'm here
Clean facility, polite staff. Parking once checked in was great, finding a spot to pull in before getting access to the underground structure was a challenge.
Checked in very late after a flight. My first room had a very loud water drain above the bed that sounded like a water fall so I had to go down to change rooms. Second room was great despite the bedroom window lookin out to a hallway.
It was exactly what I needed
I was there for four days don’t have house keeping one time.
Basic hotel good rate and comfort big room had fridge, micro wave coffee
TV no option to use Netflix
Staff were unhelpful, overcharged for room .
The hotel staff was beyond accommodating and made my last minute stay absolutely amazing. Thank you!
It is a set of office and life room environment. That is great.
My window looked onto a hallway. There is not nearly enough parking. The building is under renovation so brown bag breakfast, they didn’t even have any ketchup for the breakfast sandwich inside. The elevator was glitchy. My door lock got stuck most of the time. Had to shoulder ram the door open half the time.
Check in at 2am
Building is being renovated so construction dust everywhere. Parkade incredibly small. Booked a king executive suite only to be told they over booked. How do you do that when it is reserved online days before. Staff was rude about the issue. Sink and toilet had stains.
I've written reviews about the Prime Hotel in the past, so my thoughts are still very similar to them. Location, cleanliness, and staff are excellent.
I don't like the fact that, it seems like management is more concerned about aesthetics as opposed to functionality. I stay here regularly, and again I am writing about the fact that the AC didn't work in my room. For a bit of context: It was 28 degrees out, and this particular room was on the side of the building that Franklin Ave is on. (Noisy and Hot)! I opened every window I could to hopefully get some relief, only to be kept up most of the night because of traffic on Franklin. My message to those who choose to stay here - if it's hot out, confirm that the AC is functioning!
Very clean and cheap, but not a cheap room.
Good
Petit déjeuner etait un sac avec produit intérieur.
N a pas ete mentionné qu’ils etaisnt en rdnovation
Water bottles in the mini fridge, a small thing but damn nice.
Ac fans blowing right where ya sleep, easy fix ,turn the system off.
Only complaint would be , minimal parking , and they are in the middle of Renos, other than that nice place. Great front desk service .
I've stayed here before and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and the beds are comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel was doing some renovations during my trip, so the breakfast buffet wasn't operating. However, they did provide a takeout bag, which contained more food than I have received from other hotels' breakfast to go bags.
What a mistake booking this horrible hotel. It’s under construction. Shouldn’t even be open yet. There is no lobby or front desk. Just a temporary desk in the bar that’s being renovated. We booked for 5 nights. We were very skeptical from the beginning due to overall appearance and messy conditions. Checked in and went to look at our room. Room wasn’t horrible. Spacious and reasonably clean for the money but the mattresses were very soft and old looking. After checking out the room my wife and I were laying on the beds just relaxing a bit and some random guy USES A KEYCARD AND WALKS RIGHT INTO THE ROOM. WHILE WE WERE IN THERE! WALKED RIGHT IN LIKE HE OWNED THE PLACE. WE HAD TO YELL AT HIM GET OUT. Turns out he was a contractor. The place was swarming with contractors doing renovations. That’s when we decided immediately we were cancelling the balance of our stay. We stormed down to the front desk to complain and demand to know how we’re supposed to feel safe and secure when anyone can just walk into our room? How do we know someone won’t just come steal our stuff when we’re not there? Shouldn’t it be impossible for someone to have access if we’re checked in? Also there is no free hot breakfast as advertised. Their “grab and go” breakfast is a joke. Staff was agreeable and pleasant enough to let us easily cancel the rest of our stay. The Prime might be ok one day, but it’s certainly not good now. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Go stay at the Pomeroy instead!
It was convient for what I needed
Everything was wonderful! Highly recommend.
In room furniture shows obvious signs of damage. Website promises hot breakfast but when I showed up was told that breakfast is not provided due to ongoing renovations (which are also not detailed online)
The property is in the middle of an extensive reno.
The front desk staff are very nice and helpful. The room is clean and quiet. Will stay this hotel again when come to Fort McMurray next time.
The room was nice and quiet. The bed is comfy and the room is clean.
Great value when staying at this property.
You can see the great potential with all the renovations currently underway Very friendly staff
Would not recommend this hotel due to the area. Lots of sketchy people. Drug dealers on the block. Did not feel safe my truck outside full of tools. Hotel needs to move. Neighbour is ghetto
Hotel was closed , please refund my pay. Claude 780-826-8775
Amazing
Had a great stay. I loved the underground parking. The exterior was being renovated and looked a little rough upon drive up and caught me off guard.
This Rooms are all clean and renovated -- love the space and office desk is huge -- highly recommend - Awesome under ground parking
Recently renovated & clean, spacious room with workstation. Great value for money.
