SpringHill Suites by Marriott Bloomington

The eggs were cold in the container for breakfast. There was only one staff person at check in and she kept having to answer the phone. So I waited quite awhile to get checked in. Another man was at the desk when I approached, but he left into the back and she was on her own.

The amenities were plentiful. Breakfast, pool, fitness center, and a beautiful room!

I didn’t like that I had to pay for parking, but the parking garage was worth it. I wish there would’ve been adjustable screens or blinds on the pool area.

Breakfast was excellent. The staff was very accommodating.

The room was quiet, beautiful and comfortable. The cold beverages at check-in were wonderful. The breakfast was awesome, loads of fresh strawberries and blueberries. The most memorable was Josh at the hotel bar, who picked up on our desire for a Wisconsin Old-Fashioned, i.e. with brandy. Great guy!

Breakfast was wonderful. Hotel was clean and had that college town feel to it with luxury added in.

There was a bunch of little league baseball teams staying there. The groups were very loud at night until all hours of the morning. Just a bad two nights to pick.

The size of the pool is rather small for the size of the hotel. But it was enjoyable as we were the only ones in there.

It was clean. The staff was friendly. It was a great location and there was a lot of things to do within walking distance.

The pool was small. We never got in because even just for two of us, it felt small. The parking garage was also set up really weird. We got back late both nights we stayed and both times, we thought we weren’t going to have some place to park.

The breakfast was better than most hotels. The location is fantastic. Plenty to eat, drink, and see all on foot.

Be aware that parking fees are 14 per day. This wasn't clear at booking. The pool is small and has windows along the street.

We found the front desk staff very friendly (Lacy and the young guy with glasses), the room was very nice-- it had a comfy bed and pillows, nice size, very nice bathroom, good a/c and TV, the gym was great to have (but the floor needed cleaning) and the breakfast with coffee was awesome. We also appreciated that they didn't use single-use toiletries. The location to amenities was good and the park nearby was nice.

We found the parking process in the garage to be a pain (tickets, validation, lack of card recognition, etc) and the hotel entrance was a challenge to find.

We have stayed at the Springhill suites for the last 4 years while our son has attended IU! This graduation weekend, I can honestly say was by far the most memorable, manageable, accommodating and extra special bc of the incredible staff at this hotel. Lacy, Jamie, Kirby and Amy to name a few—deserve major shout outs. Especially Lacy who was kind to my family and went out of her way to help my dad with meds for our family. The extra care and small details that went into making this weekend a true home away from home did not go unnoticed. From the IU BANNERS, to photo wall backdrop, parking, shuttles, awesome iced tea and refreshments every time I walked in the door. It is always clean, quiet and comfortable, but this weekend it was a true Hoosier family home, thank you, Springhill, it has been a pleasure!

Good location

Stayed at the SpringHill Suites Bloomington several times now, and honestly, it’s probably the best SpringHill Suites I’ve stayed at. The hotel itself is modern, clean, quiet, and just very easy to live in when traveling for work. What really stands out is the customer service. Every single stay, every single employee has been genuinely friendly and welcoming. That consistency is rare. You can tell the staff actually cares, and it changes the whole feel of the hotel from “standard business stay” into something much more comfortable. The rooms are spacious and nicely designed. The hotel overall feels fresh and well maintained. One small quirk: light from the hallway does come through underneath the room door. For light sleepers, that’s not ideal, especially if you’re sensitive to sleep disruptions. Thankfully, the hotel itself is still very quiet overall. Parking is paid, so just be aware of that. As a Marriott Gold member, I also appreciated the little welcome perks. They used to offer Starbucks cold coffee options, but lately it’s more things like sparkling water. Not a huge deal, but still a nice touch after a long travel day. Another underrated thing: they always seem to have plenty of water available downstairs, plus easy access to water and ice. Small detail, big difference when you travel a lot. The biggest compliment I can give is this: it’s an easy hotel. Easy check in, easy parking, easy to settle into, easy to leave for meetings in the morning. No drama, no chaos, no “where is everything?” energy. Just smooth and comfortable. A very solid stay in Bloomington.

The hotel was conveniently located to Indiana University. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet at night.

Breakfast seemed to be a little chaotic, lots of people, ran out of things, garbage cans overflowing. The breakfast tasted good though and seemed like a good selection.

This hotel exceeded out expectations. We are a family of four coming to see the University and we were greeted with cold lemonade and lollipops. The hotel was really clean, the breakfast was awesome and the location could not have been better! We will be back!!

Hotel staff are exceptional. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Good setup to work in too.

A nice, very functional, clean room. Everyday room service, which one does not see very often nowadays and a very functional parking for a reasonable charge.

The fact that the temperature could not be set at the room - was a bit warmer than my taste. Some firmer pillows could be used (too soft, also for my taste). The free wifi worked well, albeit not exceptional.

I was blown away at our stay here! Something that is very big to me is having access to filtered water to fill my water bottle and they had that in the lobby in two different spots! A long with lemonade, and a tub of ice. The continental breakfast was one of the best that I’ve ever had! The first day they had biscuits and gravy and the second day they had sausage and cheese biscuits. They had oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, waffles, eggs, potatoes, and bacon too. Along with alll the toppings and fixings imaginable! And of course orange juice, apple juice, and cranberry juice. And coffee all day in the lobby!!!! Our room was also spotless!

I truly have nothing bad to say about this place! The pool isn’t very large if you’re looking to really swim, but that wasn’t a concern for us.

Stayed here while moving my daughter into IU. Enjoyed the extra space in the room with the couch and sitting/desk area. The morning breakfast had plenty of options and the water and lemonade in the reception area was a nice touch.

Great location. Clean rooms. Attentive staff. One of our favorite places to stay.

Super clean and in like new condition. Shower was pristine, so was the rest of the bathroom. Loved the layout of the room which allowed us to have our student up after dinner one night to watch a movie as a family. Breakfast is what you’d expect from any free hotel buffet. Lemonade and cucumber water in the lobby all day. Small bar serving drinks in the evenings. Bartender mixed a great apperol spritz and explained they will deliver drinks to rooms, as well as takeout burgers from the restaurant around the corner. Staff was always helpful. Walkable to the Bloomington town square with all the Walnut-College-Kirkland restaurants. Walk to campus in under 10 min. Tip: pay for ramp parking if you have a vehicle because it’s not any more expensive than the metered street parking and you’ll have a guaranteed and more secure space. Will 100% stay here again next time. Highly recommend.

Hotel was clean, updated, and aesthetically pleasing. Good location. Nice flavored water and lemonade available in the lobby. Breakfast was better than usual with breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, greek yogurt, and waffles etc.

Great place to stay in Bloomington!

What you expect from a Marriott property. It's located near lots of restaurants. The rooms are clean and quiet. They do charge daily for parking. The staff is very friendly.

Excellent, newer hotel in Bloomington!

Parking was super easy for us to get in and out, even though we were charged for it. You are your own valet. The breakfast was meh but free. The room was comfortable and large. It was comfortable.

It was a great experience

My room was really nice and the amenities were great but the check in person went on a bit too long/too aggressive about the Marriott Bonvoy program (which you have to sign up for anyway for free internet.) I said I would think about it and brought it up twice more. I understand this is likely policy but it’s a bad one.

Overall enjoyable stay. The hotel was clean. Staff especially on Friday night when we arrive were awesome! Only complaint was that the room was hot upon arrival and the air conditioner had to work hard to keep up with the humidity that weekend. It never stopped working!
