A real Bali feel

It was farther from the beach than I thought it was.I needed to get a grab when going in to town.

Room was lovely and spacious. Staff were excellent, pool was good. Everything was good

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is spacious bedroom and living room. The staff are lovely and exceptionally helpful and friendly. I have been 3 time stay there. We would definitely stay there again.

Too far from everything. Dangerous crossing busy road to head towards town. No restaurants nearby. Old and out of date facilities. Loads of dust everywhere and smells of mould.

Echt een waanzinnig groot appartement met een woonkamer, keuken, slaapkamer met fijn groot bed en badkamer met ligbad in een achterafstraatje vlakbij de doorgaande weg. Er is een grote mooie tuin en een fijn zwembad en vanaf het balkon kan je dat allemaal zien.

they simply dont know how to clean .. dirty pillows, bedsheets needed to be changed .. old room, old facility not cleaned enough during the years with a bad smell .. not a good breakfast

Arrived around 8pm & there were no restaurants around to eat. Wish I booked something on the beach. Staff weren’t too helpful. Couldn’t full the bath with hot water . Great for big family.

Buiten was het mooi en gezellig. Personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We kregen 2 welkom drankjes wat zeer aangenaam was.

Boven het bed is er een raam dat veel licht binnen laat. Ook storen de blaffende honden in de nacht. Maar hier kan het hotel uiteraard niets aan doen.

La grandeur du logement, la piscine extérieur

La robinetterie qui mérite d’être changer et moderniser, les portes qui grince beaucoup, la qualité du petit déjeuner très moyenne, pas d’accueil.

Les appartements sont très spacieux et très bien équipés (électroménager et climatisation récents) La piscine est super ! Le personnel est au petit soin en fonction des possibles... (Pas de laundry, pas de restaurant,..)

Cependant tout est vieillissant, dans "son jus" des appartements à la piscine. C'est dommage cela devait être parfait il y a quelques années... D'ailleurs les photos sur booking ne sont pas à jour... Les petits déjeuners ne sont pas tops... Ils ont le mérite d'exister... L'accès et le quartier de l'hôtel sont très peu accessibles (actuellement des travaux empêchent l'arrivée en voiture ou taxi avec l'emprunt d'un pont en bambou... Hyper facile avec des enfants et des bagages !!!) avec très peu de choses autour (pas de restos, épicerie ou autre...) ....

La piscine est magnifique, l'appartement est grand mais vétuste. Le personnel est très gentil et à l'écoute.

L'appartement est quand même un peu vieux avec de nombreux disfonctionnements. Je trouve que le prix est donc un peu cher.

L'accueil, la taille de l'appartement et ses équipements ainsi que la piscine qui est très agréable.

Quelques restaurants à proximité vers le centre hospitalier mais le trajet pour s'y rendre à pied n'est pas agréable, mieux vaut commander un transport et se rapprocher du centre.

This property is nothing like the pictures in the listing. Mold is present throughout, the bathrooms are in terrible condition, and the floors are dangerously slippery. We had booked for 7 nights but checked out the same day due to serious health and safety concerns. Unfortunately, we have not received a refund and are still working with Expedia to resolve the issue.

La piscina y el balcón

Place is 3 minutes drive from beach not really walkable very busy main roads. But was beautiful grounds and pool is impeccable. Breakfast was delicious. The place is quite in need of some TLC it would have been wonderful 20 years ago...a bit expensive for this reason

Not exactly conveniently located or placed in a nice environment, the Villa and its appartments are unfortunately rather shabby and both the appartment rooms (at least in the appartment we stayed in) and furniture cry for renovation and refurbishment, with lot of equipment broken, missing or unusable. Not exactly expensive but definitely underwhelming in current condition.

This Villa is old and furniture looks so tired. Checked in at 4:00am and booked another accommodation in 30 minutes. Not recommended for families

A bit further away from the rush of the coast but still in a convenient spot distance wise.

25 minute walk to the beach was OK , good taxi service available , not the closest location to the beach , but depends what you are after.

Location was midst all location for tour. The drivers/tour guides Mr Rio and Mr Wayan were helpful to suggest the best places to visit. We felt like we found a family in Sanur with them. It was also easy to communicate with the Apel Villa management even before we checked in.

The hairblower was too weak to be able to dry our hair.

Beautiful property. Big living area and bedroom. Open plan living area to kitchen. Air conditioning. Staff were fantastic always so helpful and cleaning rooms when we wanted them done.

Pity about the location. Need a car to go anywhere as on other side of motorway.

This place was beautiful and very welcoming. Quite a big space, clean, great staff.

Only thing was it was alittle far to walk anywhere. However taxis were easy to get and a lot cheaper than in Ubud.

Everything it was lovely, from the building to the staff , the room is an apartment it has everything you need and feels like your own home , very comfortable I really loved being there the pool area is beautiful and the staff are great , Wayan the owner is lovely and happy to help with anything

It’s location is a bit out of the way great for some , but a Gojek for food & to get about is easy though , the bedroom aircon needs to be fixed, very little to not like

The villa was huge and the pool was really nice. Large water bottles were fantastic. Close to small convenience stores.Staff were so helpful.

Property was in need of some renovation and a good clean. Although it was presented as a four bedroom villa it is essentially two separate villas, which was fine for us as we had older teens if you had small kids they are a little out of sight…and have access to kitchen supplies ect…Breakfast is not anything more than an egg with a slice of bread..or noodles which some of our kids ate ( one has allergies to everything that was on offer). Overall the staff were helpful but with extremely limited English…also not their fault or problems.

Lovely facilities. Big apartment with big fridge and washing machine. Drinking water fill up facilities. Quiet aircon. Lovely pool and friendly staff with welcome drink As 2km from beach and Sanur villa is providing a driver till 11pm to bring us to the beach and back free of charge. Hello Warung located on the right when arriving at the beach is highly recommended with good food, big portions and good value

Perhaps a pot of Bali coffee instead of instant sachets for breakfast.

This is a very nice villa. I wish I could have stayed there longer. Got in at after midnight and one person had stayed to check us in and show us the room

Beautiful property, home away from home loved having washing machine in unit

For months this was truly our home away from home. We especially liked the nice pool in the garden, the spacious apartment with a proper size bedroom, functional kitchen, bathroom and living. The staff are very friendly and helpful. In short, this place is really good value for money. :)

Great sized rooms for the price and very helpful staff. Easy to organise transfers and great to have a kitchen.

A little tired looking and in need of repairs. It’s also quite far out of Sanur and not in a great location. But good stop over for the airport to port

Needs a lot of maintenance, old property, something or the other is not functioning in all rooms, eg, AC, Hot water, sink not draining, No phone in room to contact the front desk - what a pity - does the hotel expect to go every time to the front desk ?, no hand towels, swimming too small, Bad location and vicinity, it is not meant for a family with kids or even couples

The staff is very welcoming, any requests are settled immediately. The place is very calm, you can hardly see any neighbours.

The rooms are a bit shabby. The washing machine in the room didn't work but they offered to use a shared one in the yard.

It was a great price, large rooms.

The place needs a bit of work, but they are currently doing things up.

Dont stay here if you can help it... Furniture breaking and hitting my sons head and shoulders. Its very expensive for what was provided.... I thought i was paying half of what we did and it still felt to much comparitivly for what we paid in similiar villas in bali. No shuttle service to sanur beach as promised. This accomadation is a long way from the main beach and resteraunts in sanur, so transport is usually needed to go anywhere. The kitchen doesn't have bowls. It's an apartment, so you must do your own dishes and breakfast dishes. We had to ask for cleaning cloth and detergent. Breakfast was average, No coffee was provided with breakfast.

The room was not very clean, we found food on the carpet, the floor was broken; also the bathroom was connected with the bedroom via a window, but the window had no glass; if you use the bathroom you would wake the person sleeping in the bed

Very limited cooking utensils fridge leaks and no freezer door needs a little work.

The villa was serviced daily and was large and comfortable

The freezer didnt work properly so some of our food was spoiled and we had an issue with the hot water that took several days to fix as we couldnt make staff understand that we hadnt just used it all. The owner did address the issues but the freezer couldnt be fixed until we left which made it hard to prepare meals at home.

The location

Staff was friendly. The owner was very helpful. We could park our scooters in a place safe from rain. The apartment is a good size (open space living room with kitchen), bathroom and bedroom. I forgot my charger in the room and the staff wrote to me on whatsapp. I ordered a delivery scooter and the charger reached me at the airport before leaving Bali.

It is not a villa. but an apartment in a villa. Breakfast was really basic (one egg and some pastry) but, good for a short-term stay (you could also choose fried rice or noodles). The washing machine and the oven in our room didn't work. We told the staff since we had 20 more days to stay. Nothing was ever done - so we didn't have a washing machine or oven. The Wi-Fi in our living room wasn't working too well. In the bedroom it wasn't working at all. The pool was dirty every 3 days, but the staff did their best For a few days, there weren't any towels for the pool. Everything around the pool looked very old, not like in the pictures.

Villa Apel Sanur is a nice place that's reminiscent of 4 private houses with 2(?) flats each. Each flat has a washing machine, a stove, cable tv, Wifi, a balcony in the upper floors (shared) and a bathroom with bath tub and AC in all rooms. There's also a water dispenser. The pool is very nice too, it also has a swim-up bar. It's not far to Bypass Sanur.

I'd recommend that the management fixes some cracks in the walls on the in- and outside. The bathroom water taps and bathtub could be cleaner (I didn't mind, but some might) and some might miss having a shower. Also, the WiFi seems to be spotty at best sometimes.

Very nice place to stay and relax. Apartments are really spacy, very poultry and home☺️ Staff is very friendly. Garden is quite and we have enjoyed with baby in the warm pool under sun

This is a good hotel if you're wanting to be in a different part of the island and not in a big touristy area. The area from what the locals have said is not the best, but we felt safe because the hotel is gated.

娘と２人で6日間滞在しました。総合的にとてもよかったです。スタッフの方たちもとても親切でした。ただ、予約前に口コミで見たシャワーの出が悪いってところは改善されていませんでした。ドライヤーも風が弱すぎて使えませんでした。空調やキッチンは整っていました。簡単なお料理はできますよ！近くにコンビニがあったのでそこで買ったものを調理して食べたりしました。プールもとてもよかったです。現地の人と一緒に泊まる予定だったので、2ベットルームのヴィラを探して予約しました。海外からのお客様を案内するお仕事の現地の人が｢こんなにいいヴィラがあるんだね｣って感心していたので、周りと比べたらコスパも含めてよかったんだと思います。朝食も毎日3種類から選ぶことができたので、飽きませんでした。ち

Good nice hotel with very big rooms (at least ours). It's not in the center. they have a drop off and pick up service. The surrounding area is not nice but inside the hotel, everything is very good

Looks better in photos than in reality. Air conditioning was not working properly so it was very hot during the night. Weird smell in the room. Area very rough which far away from what you need for holidays. It looks like that this hotel is counting last days.

Great little gem away from the hustle and bustle. A little aged but retains its charm! The pool is fantastic and the staff are beautiful people who made our stay just great. It’s so fantastic that breakfast and shuttles to the beach are included - made life just that much easier.

Pro:Great facilities, comfortable, nice surrounding and fried noodle is delicious. Cons: The location is quite hard to find since it's located in the rural housing area.

Very friendly staffs and always willing to help. The villa is nice but a bit dated. Towels were provided, but they are old and some of them were torn. There are not a lot of things available around the neighborhood, but the villa's staffs are ready to take the guests to nearby grocery store or restaurants. Breakfast could be improved with more variety especially for guests who are staying for more than 2 or 3 days.

Rel. good location, needs a bt reno, staff excellent but poor breakfast. The best is the free shuttle arround Sanur area.

Once inside lovely gardens and pool area, and well equipped villas. Odd location

Good for the price, there's a big room for improvements. Needs a reception area, an intercom, if guests needs something, we need to go to the staff quarters. The car or driver is also not always available. Breakfast is terrible. Housekeepers didn't replenish the supplies evethough they were empty. Difficult to communicate with staff.

Large two bed villas. Air con and basic but adequate kitchen facilities with washing machine. Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Pool adequate but not for swimming laps. Slightly removed from the beach/town area of Sanur (approx 1.5km) and the by-pass to cross. This would be fine for adults and older kids who don't mind walking but a little risky with children and not pram friendly due to by-pass and poor condition of footpaths. However, Apel Villas do provide complementary transport to and from Sanur town/beach at times usually convenient for most. Failing that, they will arrange a Bluebird taxi to pick you up from the hotel and there are plenty of cabs around Sanur to get you back. There is a pool/snooker table but it's difficult to play due to the walls/windows/stairs and some new short cues would help. Internal Putting green available as well as a limited gym. Gardens small but beautiful. Directly outside is real Bali. Big contrasts to be seen throughout Bali. Great for educating our rather pampered but not overly indulged kids. Would visit again. Owner could do with investing in maintenance to keep this place beautiful. Staff all very obliging and friendly. Their English is better than our Indonesian but is limited, that said, everything was worked out. Would stay there again. We preferred Sanur to Kuta. 8 travelled,ages 51-6.
