Hotel Review I had a wonderful stay at ibis Padang, staying in rooms 616 and 618. Overall, the experience was very pleasant, and I truly appreciated the warm hospitality extended by the entire team. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a beautiful mountain view that made the stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast. There was a great variety of food, including many delicious local Indonesian specialties. I particularly enjoyed the sala lauak — my personal favorite, or as I like to call it, the “Arancini of Pariaman” 😁. The ketupat gulai paku was also delicious and gave me a wonderful taste of authentic West Sumatran cuisine. A special thank you to Mr. Erick, Food & Beverage Manager, Delia, Mr. Hendy, and the entire Egg Station team. They were incredibly attentive and made my breakfast experience even more special. The egg station team prepared my eggs exactly the way I wanted them — absolutely perfect! Another memorable moment happened when my car suddenly broke down one morning. I was very grateful for the immediate assistance from Mr. Erick and the Engineering team, who kindly helped me start the car using a jumper. This was a simple gesture, but it demonstrated the team’s genuine care and willingness to go the extra mile to assist a guest. Thank you to the entire ibis Padang team for the excellent hospitality, warm service, and genuine care throughout my stay. These little details truly make a difference and create a memorable guest experience. I will definitely be happy to return to ibis Padang and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Padang. Keep up the great work! 👏

The location and breakfast were good.

There was a bad smell in our room, especially in the bathroom. Also the corridor smelled lijs smoke from cigarettes. We had booked for 5 persons, but the staff insisted that we booked only two double rooms so they charged extra for an additional mattress on the ground for which we needed to wait another hour and a half, even after we indicated that our 6-years old needed to go to sleep.

Foi-nos atribuídos um um quarto no piso 2 logo quando saímos to elevador cheirava muito a tabaco, e no check-in fizeram-me assinar que se fumasse no quarto teria de pagar um multa. No entanto mudaram-nos para outro piso que aparentemente estava bom, a meio da noite começou a entrar fumo de tabaco parecia entrar através da conduta do ar condicionado. Não gostamos mesmo.

There wasn't much to like really. It was ok, clean room, reasonable bed, BUT I did like the round pillow :). It was a one night stay before going to the airport. It sufficed, nothing more.

The breakfast was awful, 100% Indonesian, chef doing eggs was lazy as. Only coffee in the hotel was instant, such a shame for a country that grows coffee. The hotel also smells of cigarette smoke, even on our floor whcih was supposedly non-smoking. It's time IBIS stopped smokers from smoking in the hotel.

The room was disgusting! The bed had stains on it, the whole room especially the bathroom smelt damp... The shower was so dirty that I didn't feel comfortable showering.

Ces quelques heures dans l'hôtel ont été un vrai cauchemar car nous n'avons pas pu dormir ! L'hôtel avait été privatisé pour un séminaire, ils avaient oublié de couper les réservations en ligne. Nous nous sommes donc trouvés au milieu d'un sacré bazar tard le soir et fatigués, sans chambre dans les critères demandés, sans restaurant, dans un bruit affreux... Nous avons espéré jusqu'au bout et été patients mais c'est une honte !!! Déroulé rapide (et j'en oublie sûrement) - pas de navette pour y aller malgré notre demande via booking de nous récupérer au ferry, alors que validée par l'hotel - plus de chambre vue mer disponible (alors que payé plus cher pour), la réception très embêtée nous a "surclassé" dans une "suite" : sans vue et sale (cheveux dans la douche, miettes sur les meubles, sol sale...) - pas de restaurant : transformé pour l'occasion en discothèque. - Impossible de commander le room service qui ne comprenait pas ce que nous voulions (ne parle pas anglais et impossible de s'entendre tant il y avait de bruit) - "suites" juste en dessous du restaurant... Nous pouvions les entendre parler sauter, taper dans les mains... - soirée de clôture du séminaire dont la fin était prévue à 22:00 prolongée à plus d'01:00 du matin... - rangement et remise en place du restaurant jusqu'à 03:00 du matin - je suis montée 2 fois : sans effet à part un "Sorry, finish" et une rigolade du jeune homme qui semblait fort amusé de mon explosion nocturne - rdv pour les massages oublié malgré le rdv pris en personne. - sans compter sur le personnel qui vous toise en permanence Une mascarade et absolument pas au niveau du prix

l'airco au niveau de l’accueil ,quand vous venez transpirant de l'extérieur c'est juste bon pour attraper un froid e le temps d'attente pour l’ascenseur et l'impossibilité de prendre les escaliers
