Location, rooftop terrace and pool and really good breakfast selection and the staff including the cleaners were excellent. Fridge in room was good for keeping water / drinks etc cool. Good supply of soaps/shampoo vanity kit and dental kits in bathroom and two clear plastic cups which were useful for wine ;-)
Room 504 is clearly directly below the air con fans for the whole hotel - the noise and vibration from those huge fans made the room vibrate including the bed. Rooms starting to look dated and no headboards on the beds - would be nice to have tea and coffee facilities in room and the pillows are very slim

Limpeza do quarto podia ser melhor

The Avenidas location is fantastic ! It is very clean , the staff are very friendly ! the rooms are very nice ! The food choices and quality of food was very good 👍
If i had a fault it would be the entertainment in the evenings
Very dated hotel. Live entertainment 5 out of 7 nights is the same piano player and the food we gave up after day 3
Location superb, right in the old town and close to the beaches. Excellent choice of hot and cold food at breakfast and staff were very friendly and quick to clear tables. Rooftop pool and sun loungers a bit cramped but there was always availability. I didn't use the main hotel bar but it looked very nice.
My only minor complaint was that the aircon in my room didn't seem powerful enough to properly cool the room. It was very warm as you expect in July but slightly uncomfortable to sleep at night.
Location brilliant. Upgraded to a balcony but when opening patio doors your greeted with a big tree so no view ,room 119. Then came back from a night out to open door to a pool of water went to reception waited 15 minutes then when guy turned up just said air con . He came up to room put a towel on floor and left . Was awake all night with the drip drip sound .maintenance man came next morning and drained it all .
I have stayed at this hotel before so I new what to expect
Very little
Hotel Avenida close to Levante Beach, Restaurants , ATM’s , banks , shopping areas and polite staff
The air-conditioned can be noisy at night . But it was resolved right away , I was offered to transfer to the fourth floor and I’m happier .

Having stayed here msny times over the past Few years i have to say this hotel has gone down hill. The food quality has gone down Bar staff miserable. Several guests and myself thrown out if the bar at 1215 we had just bought our drinks.. unbelieveable yes all inclusive but we were naughty and stayed after 12 . Never again they say 4 stars not the Case 3 star max better hotels than this Seens they cater more for the spanish Fair enough hasta lavista NOT!

Super hôtel
Buena ubicación, muy limpio y personal encantador.
We booked into a Comfort Suite for 5 days. The suite was an adjoining room with just a door between us and the room next door. We could hear everything from the room next door as though the guests were in our room. No sound proofing at all. It meant the living area of the suite was unusable because of the noise from the next room. The air conditioning was useless as it did little to cool the room with 30c heat outside, so it was difficult to sleep. The pool on the roof, although small, was fine and the water was warm which we enjoyed. The breakfast was fine - nice selection and the quality was fine. The hotel is a bit dated and needs upgrading We won’t be staying again.
everything but food was spot on
food most nights it was vile im afraid
Great stay here in June. Came for a week with friends. Hotel was very clean. Rooms are spacious and bed comfortable. Only issue was just one flat pillow. Food was fairly good. Could have been warmer but was edible. Plenty of choice. The hotel is in the old town and close to all amenities and a 2 minute walk to the beach. Would stay here again. Staff were very friendly
A group of 10 girls travelling for a relaxing holiday. Location is great, right in the thick of the town with only steps to bars/restaurants/shops/beach. The hotel itself is not a 4* in my opinion. We had issues with our air conditioning and it just wasn’t powerful enough or cool enough, waking us up in the morning as the room was just so warm. I reported this numerous times and I believe they attempted to fix it, but was still exactly the same. The balcony door was really tricky to close properly, I was coming off the runner and you literally needed to slam it. We told reception about this issue too as it didn’t feel safe. The toilet seat needed tightening up too as it kept moving to the side. I’m vegetarian and the food was pretty bad. I saw a worker use the same tongs to move and cut the ham pizza and then the cheese one, so completely contaminated it. The salad was nice but very samey. I had the same meal pretty much throughout the stay. A very small selection of food, but the veggie options were extremely limited. Going all inclusive wouldn’t be on the top of the list! The pool area is extremely small, although lovely views. Would I stay here again ? No. The sea and beach were lovely. 6 euros for a bed 6 euros for parasol. Temperatures were high 20’s, no need for a coat on the evening. Altea is a must - 20 euros in a taxi and it’s beautiful.

Loved the hotel and its situation in the old town. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Went half board, food and drinks were very good. Rooftop pool was great but not much shade. Beach only a few minutes walk away. We took our own travel kettle and tea for the room and there was a fridge. Only negative was that we didn’t book a balcony so had a first floor inward facing room with a small window. The air conditioning was poor but we asked for a fan and it was brought to us straight away which solved the problem. Rooms were very clean and clean towels daily. There are only 2 small lifts but didn’t have to wait too long for them. We enjoyed our stay so much we are going back in a few weeks (have booked a balcony this time).
Todo muy completo y limpio

We really enjoy going back to this hotel over and over again. In the last 3 years we were there 6 times. This year we will go back in July and again in October. The rooms are quite spacious, very clean and the balcony great. We do not think that the hotel is dated, for us it feels classic and cozy. It has a perfect location and you can feel the lively atmosphere of the Old Town. Food is good and diverse. The unexpected Birthday surpise was a lovely gesture. Very professional and very friendly staff, especially Lucian from the reception, who is very helpful and supportive every time. When we needed extra help due to an unforeseen event his service he was outstanding and consistent. All around, for us it is the best place to stay when visiting Benidorm and we can only recommend this hotel.

Stayed here with a group of friends (we all had our own rooms with balcony) and found the experience to be first class. The rooms are clean, shower is fantastic and the views are incredible, especially on the rooftop pool area. The staff are polite and super friendly. Food is varied and plentiful and the drinks are fantastic. The pool area is relaxed and you could always get access to sun lounges anytime of the day. The pool is small but great as is the whirlpool. Location is great for the beach and the Old Town with a short walk to the start of the strip if you want more action. The area is pedestrianised so you have no sound of traffic but it does mean a 2 min walk if you are going dropped off by taxi. Will definitely use this Hotel again. In fact my Attorney insists we stay here later in the year and I look forward to it.

I loved being in this hotel. My room had a sea view and I really liked hearing the chatter of the streets, usually quiet around 11pm. The staff are excellent. Friendly, so willing to want you to have the best experience and quick to respond to any query you have. I didn't always eat the restaurant, my choice as I'd rather eat out and didn't always want what was on offer. However, lots of choice. You do have to pay for drinks, including water, in the evening. I was here for a month and loved the traditional feel to this very welcoming hotel. I did check first and took my own kettle for that proper tea in the morning! Hope to visit again in the Autumn.

Arrived very late to check-in due to flight delay (early hours of morning) and very pleasant receptionist checked us in, no problems. He very kindly told us some light refreshment was provided in the dining room. A nice touch we thought. Hotel is very clean and has beautiful decor. We were given a lovely, spacious room on lower floor at the side we’d requested on booking direct with hotel. Lovely balcony with view down to the sea, great sitting watching the world go by and no problems asking for drinks at the bar to take to the room. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided as required. All the staff, reception, cleaning, bar and restaurant were very welcoming and pleasant. The food choice was very varied at all meals and the hot dishes were hot, unlike some hotels. Great variety of salads and desserts. We were All Inclusive and could have water, beer or wine with lunch and dinner. There was never a queue at the bar and it served lovely coffee there too. We loved the ambience of the lounge, comfortable and peaceful to relax in, day or night. We did use the swimming pool on the 6th floor (walked up as I can’t go in a lift), manageable walk up. We were there late afternoons and plenty choice of sunbeds. The water was cold but it didn’t deter us - very refreshing! Pool bar closed until 1st June but once again, you can take drinks up from the bar. We paid a deposit of 10€ each for towel hire. The location of the hotel is a winner for us, step out and you’re minutes from the beach, shops, bars, Tapas Square & Tapas Alley, bus stop in front of Madeira Centro (buses to Levante side, Finestrat, Albir&Altea etc) and taxi/transfer bus drop off point. We will not hesitate to return to this hotel and would book direct again as price is comparable.
Dima was an AMAZING host he was so lovely to talk to and great service! :)
Went with mum daughter and it was great. Perfectly situated and not noisy at night. Antonio the barman was brilliant. Very friendly and always had a smile. Looking at going again next year

I liked the staff, location, breakfast
There was a little dust under the bed.
Nice comfy hotel. Good breakfast. Comfortable beds. Big walk in shower, huge fluffy towels. Fridge in room Which was very useful. Great pool area, but be aware the lifts only go to 6th floor and the pool is on the roof, so a big flight of stairs, not ideal for less mobile people. The lifts are a nightmare, tiny, old and noisy, had to fold down wheelchair to get in. Otherwise a great stay.
La habitacio excelent El Personal molt agradable El bufet molt bo
Per dir algo. La entra. Per el veicle
This is my fourth stay at the Avenida hotel as part of a friend's holiday. Firstly, the location of this hotel is superb, with ready access to the beach (3 min walk away) and the old town shops/bars. The staff are all friendly and efficient. The rooms are cleaned/serviced daily and maintenance carried out proactively (a bulb was replaced in my room without me having to raise it). Food is fine - all well prepared/presented at breakfast, lunch and dinner, with nice Gluten Free bread/croissants available on request - and which arrive warmed through which really helps their consistency/taste. There is also very little repetition across a week which is quite unusual. On this latest stay, I initially had an amazing 4th floor room with a corner balcony that faced out onto the back of the building. I'd always opt for a room facing the back in future as the street noise is less and they get the sun more. Unfortunately I was moved to another room (although very kindly compensated for the inconvenience). The alternative room was spacious, bed comfortable, and space airy (including the bathroom) but it was noisier - but given the location in a busy part of town, it's difficult to create complete silence. And overall, while the hotel would benefit from some modernisation/refurbishment to stay competitive, the price point means it is great value for money compared to other hotels in the vicinity (and I keep coming back!).

Have been taking holidays at the same hotel in Benidorm I booked a different hotel for my last holiday April 2026 as I wanted a change and an alternative I chose the Avenida hotel in the old town ,I cannot praise this hotel enough location prime position in the old town rooms spacious serviced every day staff second to none food good not repetitive I could go on forever without naming previous hotel would be disrespectful after holidays with them I am sourcing future holidays and the Avenida will be first on my list looking forward to a future stay. Thanks to all the staff for their efforts made the holiday special . Will R Solihull
Check in was quick and easy. Bed comfy Bathroom dated, ladies bring hair driers, the one in the room took my 2 inch hair 10 min to dry. Standard 3 star style operating at 3 star under a 4 star rating. Food. Jesus, no taste, catered to old mouths that didn't like garlic, spice and taste. Staff all wonderful apart from a bloke on reception who was very dismissive and rude. I asked why was there no water or power and was just told " we told you" well you didn't.. I payed a cheep price for a 4 night break and can't really complain. But if I'd have paid more I would have been furious. Location is great. The dining though really is butlins circa 1965. Oh I got locked on my balcony in my pants too😂
Stayed here for a week room 603 .Perfect again food good room lovely and staff wonderful . And great location for old town . Thank you
Great hotel visit again! My wife and I went to the Avenida Hotel for a week and what a great stay it was. Our balcony room was clean, bright and airy and well cleaned every day. The food was lovely, mainly catering for the Spanish visitors but also plenty of choice for us brits and the desserts you could die for! The Staff are brilliant and nothing too much trouble. The beach is 90 seconds away with loads of eateries and bars. The front balcony rooms can get noisy until about 10 at night but great for people watching! We would come back anytime!
Fabulous hotel in a perfect location right in the centre of the old town. Rooms are always really clean and fresh. Wide variety of food and great staff. This visit was my 5th or maybe 6th and we took 6 friends with us who all loved it too. Yes, the lifts could do with updating, but they were there when the building was first built. I love this hotel and we will definitely be back again for Christmas. I stayed for my 60th and they couldn't have been more accommodating, helpful or friendly. Great place - it takes some beating. Thank you for making my birthday special.
Great location, Staff friendly and easy to get on with very helpful, Food was very nice as expected although more choice than other hotel's in the area. Rooms were spotless and very modern. We were there for 1 week end of October so the snack bar and air con were not on this in no way made a difference to the great holiday we had. I must say my son and I had a great holiday enjoying all of the hotel's features the WIFI was probably the best I've ever had in a Spanish hotel. Thankyou I am fetching my wife next time so it will be better as im coming in July/August x
Absolutely first class ..the staff are friendly and helpful , food is very good with a great selection, rooms are very clean and serviced every day l have already booked a return stay

The mattress was ok,The bath was ok but the shower head was loose and had to hold on to it.
Air conditioning broken. All they did was supply a fan,The fridge was warm. Would not be staying here again,Put us off benidorm on our 6th visit in 3 years,Didn't offer us a different room upgrade, minimum I expected on checkout was a partial/Full refund. Breakfast bacon was poor, Sausages were awful, and the beans were not good. Never wrote a bad review in many hotel stays this deserved one. Ruined our holiday.

I have decided to write a response to the answer I received to my review on March 6th regarding my 21-day stay half board at this hotel I am not happy with the Response. I did on my original review highlight the good points that were the cleanliness the location and the nice sunbathing area on the 6th floor I pointed out that the food was very poor for an establishment that is advertised as four star the response was that naturally ingredients are balanced to cater for the hotels international clients. The food was completely tasteless there was no seasoning and a lack of ingredients I have stayed in a number of genuine 4-star hotels this was the worst food I have had. The soup was watered down and the curry they served one day was one of the worst in terms of flavour I have ever tasted it undoubtedly came out of a packet. The drinks were served from a machine and were absolutely horrid. At lunch or dinner there were no drinks available unless you bought them this is not what good establishments do. I am disgusted that I did not even get a sorry you did not enjoy it from them, and I am not happy about their comment about the food policy. The ingredients are not balanced this is untrue I received no apology for the very nasty barman I highlighted who on 2 occasions did not serve me with the drink I asked for and then became very hostile when i challenged him, there was no response to my observation that there are no kettles in the room and the hotel has 2 of the worst lifts I have ever seen only allowing 3 people in and. Breaking down twice while I was there. These lifts were supposed to serve 6 floors and 156 rooms and clients that were mostly very old The hotel swimming pool is not heated and is not used, so why does a four-star hotel not heat its pool ? In conclusion this hotel is advertising itself as a four-star establishment and yet the pool is too cold to use it has terrible lifts, no kettle in rooms no English stations on its TV, and very poor food in my 21 days . In my opinion this is an example of an establishment cutting costs as much as they can at the expense of the guest and not providing a satisfactory service Please take note of this review it is an honest fair reflection of my stay I am a very experienced traveller and live with a chef.
What can I say , another wonderful stay at this hotel. This time I was a solo traveller but that didnt take away from the experience. I booked via Ryanair site a room with a balcony as I like to have an outdoor space to myself to people watch. I emailed the hotel post booking requesting a room that over looked the plaza. As usual this is a request and not a guarantee. This request was fulfilled and I had a lovely room 303 S2. This was a smaller room to others I have stayed in before at this hotel but in no way too small even for a couple. Lovely bathroom with walk in quadrant shower that was a blessing, no over bath shower which was a blessing for someone with slight mobility issues and solo. Usual toiletries and fluffy towels. Room cleaned and towel replaced daily. I was B&B and every morning lots of choice of cooked breakfast including egg station for fried eggs and omelettes, continental selections with meats and cheeses, cereals , yogurts, toast, and pancakes and fruit. So much to choose from and the hot breakfast was always hot. The lounge is a very welcoming place to sit especially if the rain stops you from venturing out. Coffee only 2 Euro and they have a price list on each table offering lots of choice. I paid more for a coffee everywhere I went to eat or have a coffee and much less than other hotel lounges or terraces. All the staff welcoming and although I didnt need assistance with anything, I know from a previous stay that if required the reception staff will do all they can to help. This is my 5th time of staying at this hotel and I always get a good price compared to other hotels near by and offering the same facilities.
I just got back from a four night stay at the Avenida. The food was brilliant, the communal areas were clean and pleasant and the staff were very friendly. The roof terrace and pool were very nice. The entertainment was good too. I opted for a cheaper room without a balcony and a smaller bathroom. Next time I would pay for a bigger room, I’m a slim person and even I had to get out the shower just to get washed, it was very small. The room was nice and mostly clean, the draws needed a better dusting. The cleaner folded and gave me fresh towels every day which I expect, but still thought was good. My room was quite loud and I know some other people had the same issue. Overall I had a great time and will happily stay again but not in the same room.
We have been to this hotel before and enjoyed our visit, so we booked again. The food and service were generally good and the staff were lovely. However, the air conditioning in our room did not work. Our room was unbearably hot and stuffy. There was only one window, which opened onto a balcony which was accessible from a balcony alongside the corridor. We did not feel safe leaving it open. We spoke to reception who said the aircon was set to heating because of the time of year, even though temperatures were around 19/20 degrees. They refused to move us to another room, but gave us a fan. Which did nothing more than move already hot air around. As a result, we had several uncomfortable nights of very little sleep and went home feeling more exhausted than refreshed.
This is my 3rd stay at the hotel and what an awful experience. We were allocated room 301 and realised as soon as we got there it would be far too warm for us. Air con was blowing warm and there was only a small window in the room that opened on to a balcony that could be accessed by other guests. This wasn't an ideal situation for my sister and myself as we didn't feel safe. There wasn't a window in the bathroom (nor an extractor fan) so we didn't even have the luxury of a through breeze. We asked at reception to change rooms to be told that the hotel was 'full' which it clearly wasn't. I know you can upgracde the room for 16E per night but we weren't looking for the upgrade, just wanted a similar room with windows that could be left open without the fear of someone coming into you room
Firstly I would like to give the good points about the hotel the single room I had during my 21-day stay was kept spotlessly clean by the lovely Mirabel my room was on the 4th floor and had a balcony with a very nice sea view. The top floor sunbathing pool area did also have great views and was a pleasant place to sunbathe there were plenty of sunbeds. The other good thing was the hotels' location a few yards from the beach and surrounded by shops and cafés. The bad points are no kettle in the room no English satellite channels on the TV, terrible lifts that could only let 3 persons in at a time and there were only 2 for the whole hotel of 6 floors. However, these are minor compared to the poor food for an establishment that is supposed to be 4 star what was served up at lunch evening meal was extremely bland due to lack of seasoning and ingredients you will find reviews on here that say the food is good, but I live with a chef so please if you like good food do not expect it at this hotel. I was also very annoyed by the many brochures that claimed the hotels swimming pool was heated, this is false advertising and was confirmed by the pleasant assistant manager who confirmed what I and others had already discovered, she did tell me however that they did not heat it because nobody wanted to use it. This was not true during my visit myself and others tried to get into it but to cold. So the hotel is advertising a service they do not have there is no swimming pool in use. Although most of the staff were okay or very nice one of the barman was horrid I asked him for tea, and he pretended he did not know what I meant another day I asked for a chocolate with cream, and he did not bother about the cream and was very hostile when I challenged him. So in conclusion please be aware this is not a genuine 4-star hotel, and it is. at best 3 stars very, very average it will not be a place I shall return to, and I say to others please shop around you will find much better value for money in Benidorm
Great location, very clean, comfy beds, helpful friendly staff. Good choice of food for all meals.
very limited UK TV, need to get BBC and/ or ITV back (they used to have it).
Arrived Saturday 14 February with Jet 2. Some sun! Reception were great, room 242 looking sideways to the beach from the balcony. We didn’t want to walk far for things to do and the hotel is perfect for that, lots of shops bars and entertainment minutes from the hotel. Room is fine, big enough for two. We stayed full board plus and the selection is varied, healthy to stodgy, all well prepared. Rooftop pool is fine for getting the sun, although there are no umbrellas for us folks feart from the sun. Bar is fine for winding up the night after being out The hotel staff are great, friendly, funny and helpful all the time. The lifts take a little time to get to you but you’re on holiday, what’s a few minutes?
