Esperia City Hotel

I booked the hotel for two nights. The hotel is in an excellent location, and it is easy to walk to all the main attractions in Rhodes Town. The breakfast is rich and varied. This is the reason why I am giving the hotel a low rating: I booked a room with two separate beds, which was very important to us. We arrived at the hotel at 10:00 p.m. and, when the receptionist checked us in, I emphasized again that the room had to have two separate beds. The receptionist replied, “Yes, of course.” We went up to the room and found it pleasant, but we did not stay there for long because it had one small double bed instead of two separate beds. We went back down to reception, and the receptionist told us that they were not obligated to provide what I had requested and that they would deal with it the next day. I explained that she was mistaken and that the hotel was obligated to provide the room I had booked. She was very unhelpful, and unpleasant. I insisted because I could have chosen another hotel, but I chose this one specifically because the booking clearly stated that the room had two twin beds. Only after the second man at reception argued with her in Greek she suddenly find another room for us. The entire argument was extremely unpleasant.

Breakfast was average, thin walls could hear people talking loud and from balconies despite door being shut. Is a group travel hotel so understandable that rooms are on the smallish as are beds

Les femmes de ménage passent à 8h du matin. C’est de la folie de réveiller des gens en vacances à cette heures là j’ai jamais vu ça dans un autre hotel. Pas assez de transats autour de la piscine, y a des gens mal éduqués qui viennent poser leur serviettes sur les transats à 7h…

Det var mycket oljud för att alla rum hade enkelt sängar det rörde på golvet hela tiden man hörde ljudet från någon av rummet runt av andra gäster dygnet runt. Det bra om hade en vattenkokare för man behöver hat vatten

מאד בסיסי אין תכשירי מקלחת בכלל (למרות שכתוב בבוקינג שיש), בקבלה נאמר לנו לקנות לבד. כיור אמבטיה באמצע החדר. חדר קצת מיושן בעיצוב.

Sentralt, veldig hyggelig personal og renholdet var topp.

The breakfast was not good at all

Du personnel souriant et aimable, un ménage sans faille, un buffet de petits déjeuners variés avec diverses ambiances pour le prendre, le seul bémol est la taille de la salle de bain vraiment trop petite alors que la chambre et le balcon sont de bonnes tailles.

Location was fab.

The rooms are now very dated, comfy beds but bathroom suite very tired looking, even the sink had a crack in it and toilet seat broken. Just needs an update I think.

Het ontbijt was echt top, heel veel keuze en ook wel wat afwisseling. Het zwembad was ook heel chill! Schoonmaak kwam welke dag langs, top!

De badkamer voel wel tegen, niet heel schoon en de douch mega klein met een douchegordijn. Hoe zouden ze nog wel in kunnen investeren

Good location for the old town, lots of restaurants nearby. Room ok although bathroom was very small.

The hotel claims to be an eco hotel, but there were lots of plastic bags around, particularly in the dining room where there was a small bin with plastic bag on every table.

Totul a fost perfect! Cel mai complet mic dejun pe care l-am întâlnit vreodată la un hotel. Poziționare la 5 min de plaja, la 2 minute de restaurante si super market-uri. Prosoape schimbate zilnic. Camera suficient de spațioasă.

Die Badezimmer waren extrem alt und nicht sauber. Das Klo muss neu gemacht werden. Es war extrem klein und alt und hat nicht gut gespült. Die Bilder auf der Webseite waren komplett anders als in echt.

Hotel molto bello, molto pulito, persone gentili e accoglienti, buona colazione.

L'unica cosa che devo dare una recensione negativa sono stati i letti e cuscini purtroppo non erano assolutamente comodi, sinceramente sono stati otto giorni che abbiamo riposato veramente male e questo mi dispiace perché tutto il resto è stato perfetto

The rooms were very small, the pool was tiny, there were no views only concrete walls and the breakfast was so bad I was very sick after it.

A gem of a property with boutique vibes! We had a wonderful few days at Krana with the amazing hosts Jenny and Marina. Beautiful two bed apartment with lovely touches to make it feel at home. Delicious breakfast with great vegetarian options. We really enjoyed our pool time with sunbeds always available. If we come back to Lindos we will be returning to Krana without a doubt! Almost forgot to mention the amazing views of the acropolis! Until next time ladies- thank you for all your advice about Lindos too.

Steep stairs coming into the property (there is a separate driveway entrance) but Lindos is very hilly and steep- something to be aware of. No fault of the property.

Terrible Room was dirty Air conditioning not working and had to call to have it fixed. Air confitioning had not been cleaned in months and remained unclean after repair creating smell in room Bathroom drain blocked with stones causing flood when having a shower and causing family member to slip and hit his head. This for an overnight stay only

Very comfortable beds and nice staff. The location is pretty good and we had a quiet room on a high floor.

No toiletries, no pool towels, a very poor breakfast, a pool area that is not sufficient for the size of the hotel, it's far too expensive for what it is. The room was tiny and that was supposed to be a Club Room. Very disappointing!

Super lokalita, kousek od moře i historického centra. Personál byl nápomocný a byl flexibilní ohledně času check-inu.

Pokoje by zasloužily dovybavit, chybí skříňky nebo alespoň více poliček, kam lze odložit oblečení. To stejné v koupelně, úložný prostor minimální. Nefungovalo několik zásuvek. Stěny jsou tenké a lze slyšet hosty z okolních pokojů. Naproti hotelu probíhá rekonstrukce, takže se přes den nedá sedět na balkóně.

The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was great and we had a balcony which made our stay even more comfortable. Great location and amazing breakfast!

Bathroom might be a bit too small for a bigger person.

The hotel's location is fantastic, with shops, bars, restaurants, everything nearby. The staff are very attentive, the waiters at the bar were always smiling. Having a hotel bar is a real plus, I recommend trying the espresso martini. The prices are also reasonable. The rooms are very clean and adequate, just keep in mind that complimentary water is not provided.

I thought about it, but I couldn't find any cons. It would always be our preferred hotel in Rhodes.

We are Atilla in the hotel First of all hotel is not clean expecially linens And almost 8 ours We dont have WATER and We came to Beach and We cant take a shower. When We call Reception they just tell us it not our problem ıt is about government. We are waiting We couldnt take a shower olsa my childeren . And toillette also we dont have water .

Kahvaltı düzenini sağlayan ekip sorumlusu bayan başta olmak üzere, samimi ,çözüm odaklı ayrıca güler yüzlü oldukları için ekstra övgüyü hak ediyorlar, teşekkür ederim. Loby bar görevlisi bayan da çok samimi ve işini severek yapanlardan biriydi....

resepsiyon görevlileri ingilizcelerini biraz daha geliştirebilir, ulaşım seçenekleri hakkında daha bilgili olabilir...

Nice clean hotel, nice staff, great location

Das Zimmer war sehr gross und wir hatten genügend Platz. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet. Der Balkon des Zimmers war sehr gross. Man kann sich wohl fühlen. Ich war sehr zufrieden mit meiner Entscheidung und Preis / Leistung geht gut auf.

Ingesamt fand ich das Hotel sehr gut und man hatte alles was man brauchte. Aber wenn man einen top modernen und stylischen Ort sucht, würde ich eher eine andere Unterkunft wählen. Das hängt aber ganz von den eigenen Erwartungen ab.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Air con in the rooms was very excellent . WiFi was also very good. Good bar area within the hotel. Sit indoor with air con or outside tables and chairs if you prefer. Location is great. A short walk from the sea front/beach, convenience shops, bars and restaurants immediately outside the hotel. The centre of the old town area an easy 10 - 15 min walk away.

Breakfast was just adequate. Lots of choice of average quality food. Lovely fresh bread and fruit though! Small but adequate pool.

Hotel in posizione centralissima. Ideale sia per raggiungere il mare (a 5 minuti di distanza) sia per le passeggiate serali, con il centro città (a soli 10 minuti a piedi). La zona è piena di attività e ristoranti, quindi di certo non c'è da annoiarsi. Pulizia della stanza e staff impeccabili. Buona e varia anche la colazione. Sicuramente consigliato.

Aggiungerei un servizio asciugamani per chi vuole usufruire della piscina. Ma stiamo parlando davvero di minuzie rispetto all'esperienza complessiva che è stata ottima.

Περάσαμε μια φανταστική εβδομάδα στο Esperia City Hotel και μείναμε απόλυτα ευχαριστημένοι! Το ξενοδοχείο είναι πεντακάθαρο, με τα δωμάτια να καθαρίζονται καθημερινά. Η τοποθεσία του είναι ιδανική, ακριβώς στην καρδιά της πόλης της Ρόδου, με τα πάντα σε κοντινή απόσταση. Η πισίνα ήταν επίσης πεντακάθαρη, πολύ καλά συντηρημένη και ιδανική για στιγμές χαλάρωσης. Αυτό όμως που μας έκανε τη μεγαλύτερη εντύπωση ήταν το προσωπικό. Από τις κοπέλες της υποδοχής μέχρι τις κυρίες στο πρωινό και την καθαριότητα, όλες ήταν ευγενέστατες, χαμογελαστές και πάντα πρόθυμες να εξυπηρετήσουν με καλή διάθεση και γλυκό λόγο. Είναι πραγματικά όμορφο να συναντάς ανθρώπους που αγαπούν τη δουλειά τους και σε κάνουν να νιώθεις ευπρόσδεκτος. Το πρωινό ήταν εξαιρετικό και απίστευτα πλούσιο, με μεγάλη ποικιλία επιλογών. Ειλικρινά απορώ με ορισμένες κριτικές που αναφέρουν ότι δεν τους κάλυψε, γιατί εμείς βρήκαμε τα πάντα και σε αφθονία. Σας ευχαριστούμε θερμά για την υπέροχη φιλοξενία και την τόσο ευγενική σας αντιμετώπιση. Κάνατε τις διακοπές μας ακόμη πιο όμορφες. Σίγουρα θα σας προτιμήσουμε ξανά όταν επισκεφθούμε τη Ρόδο!

As soon as I entered the room, I was very surprised to see that it looked nothing like the photos. There wasn’t even enough space to open two suitcases. The wardrobe was damaged—the top was broken, and the doors wouldn’t open. I contacted the hotel through Booking.com, and they told me they could offer me an alternative room, but all rooms were fully booked for the first night, so they could only help me the following day. Since I didn’t want to spend even one night in that room, I requested a cancellation and checked out immediately. Despite spending days trying to resolve the issue and sending multiple emails, I couldn’t even get a partial refund, even though I never stayed at the hotel. I ended up staying at a much nicer hotel in the Faliraki area, which was also more affordable.

Unexpected steps on floors with lift access. No amenities except soap on tap. No shower cap etc. Kitchen did not have dishwashing liquid or tea towel.

The bathroom and shower area were extremely small, which made them uncomfortable to use. In addition, there was no kettle available in the hotel room.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The entire property was clean, and everything was well maintained, which made my stay very comfortable. The staff were incredibly polite, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. The location was also perfect. Both the beach and the Old Town were just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the area without needing transportation. It was the ideal base for both relaxing by the sea and sightseeing.

Pros: great location in the new town literally a few minutes walk away from the main bars and restaurants. Bar area was lovely, swimming pool area was bigger than I expected and was still able to find a seat or sunbed whenever I used it. Beds in the room were comfortable and additional pillows provided. Cons: bathroom was disappointing no shower screen just a shower curtain cubicle which often led to spillage on bathroom floor, main issue was the shower was only 3 feet high so couldn’t stand under the shower to wash off. You had to hold the shower to wash off or wash your hair. There were some areas around the tiles/taps - it didn’t affect my experience but I can imagine with water dripping in between them it will cause problems in the future. Staff experience were nice enough., the main area I would say for improvement in addition to the bathroom would be breakfast. This is where the staff marking lost a star. They weren’t particularly engaging or friendly. I had breakfast included but never met anybody at any point to sit down, the food offered was a good range but basic I would say. There was no fresh eggs or omelettes or any orders made to order, no runny yolk egg whether fried or boiled (there was no option to have poached), the scrambled eggs were done in bulk and overcooked as we’re boiled eggs, baked beans are also quite runny. I think it’s an English person we have high standards for English breakfast! They did have toast and pastries, sweet and savoury and yoghurt available along with ham and cheese, albeit not the best quality. I did find the fresh fruit section disappointing it was just oranges apples pears as whole fruit none was chopped up to be able to enjoy. Overall it was a good hotel. The location was brilliant. You’re two streets away from being able to see the beach and amazing sunsets. Just make sure you read the reviews. I knew there wasn’t any kettle in the room which does seem like it should be a basic in conclusion, so I brought my own. . Would I stay here again? Yes I probably would for the location if I want to stay in that part of Rhodes, however I found myself going to Old town much more so would probably if I went back stayed nearer to the area. If I stayed again, I probably wouldn’t include breakfast option. I only visited twice out of two mornings. The first was to try and the second one was literally due to time of return to the airport. If you look online there’s a fantastic breakfast place five minute walk away.

Tutti frutti is one of the best restaurant in the hotel for me personally . And if you do go Elisavet is one of the best . Took care of me n my partner with at most Greek culture from a mama , coming from a swahili background in Kenya it’s Made me so warm n grateful . So pls dont hesitate to enjoy her warmth n comfort n kindness . I loved every bit of the service

Booked this hotel on recommendation The location is great the hotel is immaculately clean the staff from cleaners to restaurants staff work so very hard an are very friendly. The breakfast was great loads of choice. The one problem I had im 67 disabled( not all disabilities are visible I had my lanyard and blue badge) I fell an broke my foot in two places before I went. It was touch and go whether I’d get on this holiday. I emailed hotel and asked could they possibly allocate a room overlooking pool as I could well be sitting on balcony more than I thought as I was told if you go you will need to relax and chill. They said they would do there best to accommodate my needs Obviously I know it’s not always possible. A Week before I had to go the hospital to get it checked over I was told I can go leave the boot on till day before I go try not to walk on it too much and rest it as much as I can they said it will swell if I walked on it too much an the heat won’t help. I got the all clear from hospital and holiday insurance. I got the hotel to find the room they allocated was the furthest room only the two next door was last on the block an furthest away from reception. Like the long green mile. I went down stairs told them the situation told them I’d previously emailed explaining the situation the young girls were great and trying to fix the it till a older woman manager came out and asked wats the problem I told her an she sarcastically answered what are you going to do stay in your room I told her I’d like to think not but I will have to see how my foot goes but I have to be prepared she said it would cost me €350 I told her I couldn’t afford that she said il let you know Monday Monday came and went an so did the holiday. The bathroom was like a closet no bigger than a cupboard how they fitted a sink that was cracked a shower from the 70s with all mould around the side that flooded every time it was used there was a plug outside of the shower tray so obviously that was the norm there was no handrail so I was terrified of falling the waste pipe was filled in with some kind of filler and a stool that was under the sink you couldn’t pull it out as it wouldn’t fit anywhere so don’t know wat the point of that was. We were lucky we spent time in a small hotel over the road Carina staff food prices great were we watched World Cup I booked another hotel near to there for September were the room was lovely and guaranteed its lovely. We paid over £900 each yes I know that includes flights the hotel just is not worth it. Location staff breakfast is good

L'air conditionné de la chambre, en panne le 1er jour (on nous a affecté une autre chambre après le passage du technicien qui n'a pas résolu le pb La salle de bain minuscule (1.50mx1.50m), cuvette toilettes douche et évier concentrés dans cet espace. Minimaliste, pas d'étagère pour poser ses trousses. Petite au point que la porte cognait dans la cuvette des toilettes. Une seule prise électrique, chambre et salle de bain comprises pour brancher nos équipements (téléphones, tablette) Chambre avec vue sur un chantier

Location was very good. Walking distance to Elli beach and center. Variety of restaurants around the hotel. Breakfast was open buffet. Room and all the hotel was very clean.

Colazione varia con diverse opzioni di dolce e salato, un po' monotona dopo qualche giorno. Parcheggio pubblico in strada, che a giugno si trova abbastanza facilmente nei dintorni dell' hotel.

Nella nostra stanza non andava il wi-fi , la receptionist ci aveva detto che avrebbe fatto sistemare da un tecnico... Non si è più fatto sentire nessuno e il wi-fi ha continuato a non funzionare. Carino poter fare colazione fronte piscina ma questa è praticamente quasi tutto il giorno in ombra essendo all'interno di diversi stabili. Il personale delle pulizie era abbastanza rumoroso. Dovendo forse adattare le stanze ogni mattino si sentiva spostare i letti nelle stanze accanto e parlate a voce alta. Le foto delle camere non sono esattamente come nella realtà: la mattina passando nel corridoio mi capitava di vederne tante aperte per le pulizie e sono tutte molto chiuse dai balconi o di fronte a palazzi in costruzione. Inoltre proprio per il problema del wi-fi (il mio ragazzo doveva fare una call) ce ne hanno provato ad offrire un'altra che era più vecchia e claustrofobica. Se però vi capita la vista piscina allora è un altro discorso!

Great place to stay , lovely rooms , with balconies . The cleaners and staff are all lovely . Good breakfast hot and cold choices . Good location to get to the old town , aquarium and all beaches etc . Would recommend .

I liked the location, breakfast and friendly staff. It was also nice that they gave fruits for my birthday as a nice gesture!

I didn't like the bathroom, it was very small and needs a renovation to be a bit modern.

Huone todella pieni ja vessa sekä suihku sitäkin pienemmät. Tavaroille ei ollut paikkaa oikein missään. Allasalue todella pieni ja varjoinen.

Fajny basen nie za głęboko ale do schłodzenia się w sam raz , blisko bardzo do plaży spacerkiem z 4-5 min , dużo restauracji knajp barów w pobliżu .

Na duży minus był pierwszy dzień ponieważ przy zameldowaniu , pani recepcjonistka stwierdziła że mamy zmieniony apartment na lepszy bo wiekszy , nie taki co rezerwowaliśmy sugerując się zdjęciami , wyszło na to że nasz nowy apartament jest nie w hotelu tylko obok w starym budynku, gdzie śmierdziało w środku był straszny zaduch , i ogólnie wszystko było starsze niż w hotelu Esperia .. Ludzie uważajcie na to bo robią to często bez wiedzy gości , tylko informują po przyjeździe , kłocie się i nie dajcie za wygraną ,że chcecie pokój taki jak rezerwowaliście , co widzieliście na zdjęciach , gdyby nie moja reakcja i mała awantura na recepcji myślę że cały pobyt byśmy spędzili w tej ciemnej jaskini , znaczy wieczory .. musiliśmy przeboleć i przespać noc w tej jaskini , lecz na drugi dzień dostaliśmy taki pokój jaki chcieliśmy i przeprosiny, nie mniej jednak nie smak pozostał . Moim zdaniem jest to bardzo słabe ze strony hotelu że podejmują taki dezycję nie powiadamiając wcześniej o tym gości . Śniadanie mogły być lepsze bardzo monotonne ale da się przeżyć. Resztę oceniam na dobry pobyt.

אחלה מקום קרוב להכל נראה טוב.

אין סבון גוף נורמלי. החדרניות נכנסו לנו בזמן שהיינו בחדר למרות שאמרנו להן שיבואו יותר מאוחר.

Nice hotel with excellent location. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, the bathroom was stylish, and I enjoyed the balcony too.

The cleaning staff kept knocking despite the don't disturbe sign.

Nice balcony, effective and early check-in, but didnt felt any personal even though the staff has learnt to say the right words.

Lack of elegance and missed a few things. No honey or fresh fruit for breakfast. The breakfastroom felt like eating in a big hall. No coffee or tea in room. Housekeeping knocked on my door 0930 to clean on my checkout-day… is that normal behaviour?

Rezervasyonumuz :2 yataklı oda idi ancak 1 çift kişilik oda verildi. Ve otele gittiğimizde 2 günlük olmasına rağmen 1 günlük dediler bizi heyecanlandırdılar ve bunu düzeltmeleri için uğraşmak zorunda kaldık.
