Clear Ridge Apartments

The apartments were better than we were anticipating! We came as a group of 9 and shared two apartments which suited us so well!

Good location for everything in town. Excellent apartment.

Sunny, clean and very central

Very spacious apartments right near the hot pools and restaurants. They are in the throes of refurbishing them and replacing the furniture, so they should be stunning when they’re finished. Having a washing machine and dryer in the apartment was a real bonus. There is a lift for accessing floors 1 and 2 which is great!

The shower in the bathroom is over the spa bath and as the side of the bath is very high (for shorter people to step over) and the floor of the bath uneven, due to the design, it was a mission getting in and out of it and not very safe. If you have limited mobility I’d recommend getting an apartment with a walk in shower.

Synthetic bed cover, prefer natural fabric. Eg woollen blanket or wool/feather duvet.

Arrived to a warm apartment, towel rail also on. Beautiful view, comfortable, close to town. Apartment well equipped, comfortable bed, spacious.

We loved it was family friendly, comfortable beds, bath for the kids and cooking facilities for breakfast. Electric blankets were also very good for our winter visit.

Heat pump could have been a little more effective. But while here new heat pumps were being put into other apartments.. good news

Nice size room, everything there that we needed including Sky to watch the rugby, office space for a bit of work and a Spa bath for those wintery nights. Will stay again.

Great location. Was great last stay 2019.

Belligerent manager moved us from room with mouldy bathroom - silicon falling out etc. after complaining. Second unit dusty, broken blinds, worn through coffee table, 3 light bulbs out, freezer box chock full with ice, shower corners mouldy, outside walkway covered in mud from someone's boots not cleaned whole two days and no room servicing done. Dead plant in public area pot. None of these things generally a deal-breaker and could easily be rectified but for over $400 per night - not acceptable.

Well overdue for a bit of love and a good clean. Toilet ceiling fan full of dust (we cleaned it ourselves), 2 lights in bathroom did not work, bathroom fan did not work, questionable makes on wall in toilet near paper roll holder. Compendium said room would be serviced including beds being made. Only thing we noticed was the make up my room sign being put back, some of the rubbish taken and a new dish cloth. Pretty poor service really. Then a few wired things like clean linen stored in a laundry bag in the main corridor and has those old school key rings that don’t fit in your pocket. Property has a lot of potential but missed the mark for us.

Friendly hosts, always keen to help. Central location with 5 minute walk to everything.

Great location and quality, spacious & well planned apartment. Could happily stay a week or a month with washer, dryer, ironing board and full cooking facilities + dish drawer. Plenty of space for a family of four or five. The only thing I would change is the couple of bedroom windows that have blinds don’t fully block outside light, they need curtains over those windows as well.

Above comment about having all curtains instead of some blinds in bedrooms. Bathroom and loo fans stay on for ages automatically, not a great idea during the night.

So close to town - could walk to Springs - the apartment was spacious and modern - bed was comfortable

It was cold due to the entry door stop not sealing remedied by putting towel across it and it warmed up. The bathrooms are tired and chipped basin and bath and having to step into shower which has an uneven surface is an accident waiting to happen , i believe they are being updated and replaced in Sept to walk in showers etc

We’ve been staying at Clear ridge for 18 years on and off. It’s a great location!

It’s definitely looking a little on the tired side, much of the furniture and decor has not been refreshed for 18 years and it’s beginning to show,eg. All the numbers have come off the oven so I had to guess temperature and settings. Sofa bed in the lounge really only suits a small child.

Wonderfully large well equipped apartment, and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. So close to town, perfect to park the car and wander.

Rooms were fantastic, love the apartment had a seperate toilet. For me laundry facilities were excellent after being on the road to do some washing was great.

Only a few very minor issues. Corners around bath need a small amount of mould removed.

Location was great, staff were friendly, apartment was well set out, spacious and well equipped. Had such a great stay.

These units are well located close to the town/pools and in a quiet location. The room we had was very spacious! Beds were comfortable and shower had good pressure. They provided towels for the pools which was very helpful.

The room had a shower over spa bath, the bath base was uneven so was a bit of a slip risk. They said the rooms were serviced daily but they didn’t remove our recycling or top up the toilet paper which I would have thought would be a minimum even if the beds weren’t remade. There are blue lights on the deck all night which you can’t control but with a slat blind over that window it is still quite visible in the room.

Very nice place.

Seemed to be a problem with the heating that we reported. The beds had electric blankets so overnight wasn’t a problem.

Very clean and comfortable the shower was amazing. And very close to the Hot pools

Just a great place to stay

Great location, short walk to restaurants, pools, walking track etc. Nice large 2 bedroom unit, with full kitchen (although we didn't cook there). Good to have extra towels to take to the Hot Pools. And an extra key was no issue. Anyone staying here needs to dine at MK - OMG it is amazing!!! A short walk into town. What an amazing experience, and very reasonably priced, "Trust the Chef".

Stair well area needs a clean. Needed the key to turn power on, so couldn't leave dishwasher or washing machine going when we went out. Minor things.

Lovely location, with great mountain views

I liked how convenient the location of the hotel was to the main town and hot pools. Rooms were very big and comfy.

Only thing was that the rooms were slightly outdated and needed some TLC. For example, some of the blinds were broken and the tap in the sink was loose and wobbly

This was our second stay at Clear Ridge and it was again excellent. The apartments are a great size and very clean. The service was friendly and helpful too. We'll be back next year!

A great location to explore Hanmer Springs. The property has great facilities and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The heating in the apartment was difficult to operate. The heating system needs to be upgraded

Location

We were checked in by the receptionist. Unfortunately we were not advised that the heatpump wasn't working. All we had was one little space heater for a big apartment. Dispite them not being fully booked we got the apartment witha broken heatpump. After complaining the following day we were given three two more small heaters. The first night was freezing with frost outside. Teh blind in teh bedroom was broken too so we had this blue light from teh outside streaming in. We also found that the property was dirty - lots of hair on floor and in bathroom, dead flies behind doors. Their room service was to onlt to give new towels and top up coffee. When we left we were not asked how our stay was. Not much value for money, they class themselves as 5 star accommodation, it is far from that. Can not recommend.

Smooth check in , nice and quiet even though its next to a busy road. Room was spacious and comfortable and we could walk into town to find a place for a meal or a drink.

The service was fantastic and the room was super spacious and comfortable.

Nice two bedroom apartment, close to restaurants and the hot pools. Would definitely stay again.

The only slight niggle I would have is the shower over the very large spa bath was quite difficult to get in and out of.

We had issues that resulted in our apartment not being cleaned on any of the days. All the people in our party of guests felt that it was due to the management not being bothered.

What breakfast?

The beds were very hard maybe a topper would be good cheep at Briscoe at the present Hilton ones cooling on one side and warming on the other for winter

It was spacious and modern with everything we could want. Everything was lovely and clean and it was a lovely relaxing environment.

They helped us check in early

Large, comfortable apartments with a king sized bed. Warm, excellent kitchen facilities, dishwasher, washing machine, drier. Close to pools, shops, restaurants etc. Off- street parking. Swimming pool.

Very large and high sided spa bath with shower over it. We both had difficulty getting in and out of it to use the shower. The property is on an incline so the units are staggered on each level. Although there's a lift, there are 3 steps between each apartment. We had the last apartment, so 9 steps, which was OK, but as l have mobility issues it was a bit of a nuisance. Only affects those with mobility issues. Apparently ground floor apartments have showers and are suitable for wheelchairs.

Washing machine & hairdryer broke. However the staff accommodated up with new ones. They were a little pre occupied with family, but still great hosts

The noise of the spa pool through the night

This apartment was very spacious and much better in real life, we were really impressed. Everything looked new and moderrn and we felt very comfortable. The managers were very friendly and suggested restaurants for us. We were only there 2 nights and wanted to stay an extra night, but I could not get hold of the hire car company to extent our car rental. Hamner springs have the thermal pools, great restaurants, and an amazing ice cream and fudge shop (they make the ice cream and fudge there). The town is very pretty and green and we had a nice green view from our balcony. The apartment is in walkung distance to everything in town. (5 mins) ps. the bed was comfy and the apartment was very clean, we could not fault it.
