Zeer achterhaald, slecht bed met harde veren, matige hygiëne in kamer en badkamer

Personeel was heel vriendelijk

Lakens bed smoezelig en aan vernieuwing toe. Badkamer wel schoongemaakt maar voldeed niet aan verwachting. Alleen heet water voor bad dus niet te gebruiken. Kraan wastafel bungelde los. Moest altijd met de trap waarschijnlijk ivm renovatie. Wat het meest stoorde was het verschrikkelijke lawaai de hele nacht van de autos en motoren die langs raasde. Amper een oog dichtgedaan.

Great location, friendly staff, heritage building

Carpet in the hall way needs rejuvenation. It's seen a cleaner life long time ago. A new shower head in the bath room could make the stay much better. It seems that small hands towel is not provided as standard to the room.

Very dirty for a 4-star hotel. I booked 8 rooms from December 20-23. The rooms were very old and dirty. Toilets were outdated, and the carpet was not clean. On my bed, I saw a bloodstain. It was so dirty, especially since the price was also very expensive. Not worth it!

The towels and bath mat looked used and stained, our sheets had stains on them as if they kept them on from the last visitors (we asked for them to change them but the new ones weren't clean either), outdated (bath)room, tiny light and fan switches, dirty pillows....

Currently undergoing renovation so the usual restoration and swimming pool are not available. Going to the room has to go out side. It was raining so we got wet.

Mooi zwembad, maar geen banken om bij het zwembad te kunnen liggen. Ik ben hier wel eerder geweest en toen waren er wel banken.

Verouderd hotel, geen ligstoelen ibis zwembad, zwembad-handdoeken moeten zoeken in een kast, moeilijk doen bij drankjes op kamernummer, alles op de kamer is oud, losse toilet, vieze tapijten, oude handdoeken op de kamer. Is zo oud dat er een brievenbus in de kamerdeur zit waar het woord “brieven” op staat. Kan nostalgie zijn maar gezien de veroudering denk ik dat niet. Veel personeel spreekt niet of nauwelijks Engels, niet goed voor een internationaal hotel.

great experience at the hotel. all staffs are polite and helpful especially Mr Sugema (sorry if got the name wrong) and friends. The only drawback was my room near the main road. It was too noisy and I cannot sleep at night

The room was terribly dirty from bedroom to shower. And bedding. I have been here before (dirty) but this time very very dirty. 1. 11 stains on duvet cover. 2. AC VENT was full of black grime and dust on the vent. 3. Rug on floor was not vacummed. 4. Shower floor, glass sliding door full on calcuim, hair and grime. And mildew all over walls. I wrote a handwritten letter to owner and management about my observations and complaints. They do not care. No applogie and reply. My conclusion is that the rooms are full of insects, dead skin, hair on floor, endelss stains on sheets. Sheets are all gray. And the AC is probably the one item that would make you very sick- black grime and dust on outside vent probably packed with bacteria etc... The owner and management have no sense of responsibility or sense of urgency to provide rooms that are sanitary, and clean. This is unacceptable.

Stayed four nights at the historic Hotel Preanger, right at the 0 km point of Bandung city. It’s very close to Braga Street, perfect for young people who enjoy a hipster vibe. Besides its strategic location, the staff are extremely friendly and polite, with the unique humility and warmth of Indonesia. Among those I remember are Farrel at the reception, and most memorably, Pak Sugeng the concierge — very kind and respectful. Having a chit-chat with him felt like meeting an old friend, talking about the hotel, Bandung, and life. What a man. I hope to meet him again the next time I stay here.

Mooi gebouw en mooie lobby, zeer vriendelijk personeel. Ruime kamers maar gedateerd. Ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid met verschillende gerechten, zeer ruime ontbijtzaal, was top. Groot zwembad in de tuin, maar we hadden helaas geen tijd om te zwemmen.

We hadden de pech dat ze bezig waren met renovatie van de kamers (geen geluidsoverlast overigens), de kamers zijn gedateerd, wel goed dat ze investeren in vernieuwing! Locatie was goed, centrum op loopafstand. Bandung zelf is erg druk, we hadden vanuit hier excursies geboekt.

The entrance is grand, however the room I was very rundown and the bed even older. This is not a budget hotel, yet the mattress was the worst I've ever slept on, with springs coming through. The linen was stained and old. The electrics were ancient and potentially dangerous. I requested to change rooms but none were available on a public holiday weekend. While I'd read reviews saying the rooms were 'tired', none actually spelt out just how bad they were. Our group had three different rooms, another was as bad as mine (despite being a suite), while the third seemed fine and the mattress comfortable. The hotel is in a good location. Signage currently displayed in the hotel apologies for inconvenience while they're upgrading the rooms. There was noise due to this but as I was avoiding spending time in the room, it wasn't an issue. Lets hope the renovations are extensive.

Was given a room I didn't book in the name of an 'upgrade'. It was nothing of the sort. The room was in the oldest part of the hotel being renovated. It had bamboo scaffolding outside. The sound of the traffic was overpowering. The TV had interference. The lift didn't work and the decoration in the corridors and common areas can only be described as shocking. After a while sitting in my noisy room, I began to wonder why I'd got this room in the first place. I went down to reception and asked to see the room id booked, the deluxe twin. They said they didn't have it, so I asked for another room as mine was unacceptable. After looking round, they tried to give me a suite for more money. So I asked again for the room I booked. Eventually, I was shown the room id paid for and it turned out to be nice. I've no idea why they tried to give me a different room under renovation.

We had the best time staying here. The staff are very helpful. Staff Sugeng assists us to find the best driver to go back to Jakarta. He really makes things easy for us. We will definitely come back again.

This is a wonderful historic Art Deco hotel. The room was large, comfortable and clean. There were lots of options for breakfast.

It is not 5 star. There were dirty plates left by the pool for over 12hrs. The lids for hot food at breakfast are not closed.

I stayed at Hotel Grand Preanger and had a really nice experience. Even though this is an old hotel, it still feels very pleasant and comfortable. I booked an Executive King room, but they gave me a free upgrade to a Suite Room. That was a great surprise! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I really appreciated their warm service. The location is also very good — it’s in the city center, so it's easy to go anywhere from the hotel. The only thing that was just okay was the breakfast — nothing special, but still fine. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel for a relaxing and convenient visit.

Had a nice mini suite on lobby level. Property could use new towels and perhaps more usb outlets. They gave us ONE welcome drink coupon for two of us … used it in bar n only good for one orange juice !! The bar was different … bartender was so noisy making smoothies or something the whole time we sat there. Someone practiced playing the piano like child … very annoying .

Celebrating my birthday was memorable, they prepared birthday cake when i headed my room, Hotel seems vintage, and thanks to FO mas sonni he was really helpful since the beginning . And makes my birthday u forgettable Can’t wait to comeback

There are no other words, good! Super Comfortable, happy to see my baby staycation. The room interior is elegant and spacious. Awesome lucury staycation. Best loyalty of hotel services, Cool! Located is strategic, make me simple. Grand hotel preanger is the best!

Overall the stay was ok. However the room was too dull. The a/c was too cold even we already switched it off. I think the hotel management need to retouch up the room due to the hotel's location was very near to their town. I would like to say thank you to your maintenance team, i couldn't remember his name but he helped me to switched off the light in the middle of the night. Thank you too the concierge team, Mr Sengar ( my husband couldn't recall the name) he helped us for some information when we were waiting for our grab driver. We hope we will come again & stay again with you guys. Have a great day! Happy working

It’s a beautiful historic Building, it’s centrally located and close to Braga. Friendly staff.

It’s sad to see the inside of the rooms, poor paint job. It needs a good cleaning and fixing!! So it looks to its former Glory!! The mattress is not comfortable too!!

this is the best hotel

Position is central close to jl. Braga food area

1. WiFi kept disconnecting, reception staff had no solution and basically not interested. Bathroom moldy and black grout, things worn in the room generally, 2. Limited breakfast options for Europeans. Usual Cornflakes etc. did have some watery Joghurt in a bottle. 3. Tank coffee, always awful in any hotel.

Breakfast was okay, but turnover of restaurant staff is incredible and except for the manager staff doesn't seem to have pleasure in their job. Visited this hotel every few months or so over last few years and there's new staff every time.

Location is closed to Braga street and located on historical street (Asia Afrika).

Room was very run down and towels provided were worn out. Breakfast was not too bad but the staff managing egg station on 26APR was not coping well and there was a big queue so decided not to wait after 10 minutes. There was no instant coffee Nescafe available at breakfast.

Bed linen and sofa in the room were not the cleanest.

The hotel located near the asia africa and braga street, i can reach the areas for 3-5 minutes by foot. It is good to have mini mart Indomaret in the hotel, although the items are a bit pricey but still ok. Staff was excellence, two thumbs up, keep up the good work.

Old hotel and quiet spooky in some area. Cafe area was full of smoke from the people smoking in the cafe. Room need more carefull inspection for cleanliness before front desk give the key to the guest, i found some plastic from bottled drink in the drawer when i entered the room for the 1st time. The room is old, the air conditioner in the room is very old and very cold, TV is also old and not provide much channels. Internet was very slow, the speed was 4-5 mbps. Breakfast was just ok, nothing special, some food served cold (should served warm), there's no cutlery on the table, you need to pick up the cutlery at the food stall.

The only problem is the room facilities. From mattress to pillows, the toilet and TV, the management should consider to change all that (upgrade) . Other than that, the rest all are superb...(Services, hotel surroundings, location) especially, Beakfast spread were amazing. Many choices n delicious. All bellmen are pleasantly helpful, cheerful. Always greet with pure smile. Same goes to the front desk staff. Great services, guys. Would like to stay here again in future but hopefully by then the hotel rooms are better. (refurbished done).

This hotel was dirty - hair from the previous occupant in the bath and shower and across the bathroom floor. The fittings were decrepit. On the upside the staff were friendly. I’ll not be staying again and suggest people find somewhere else to stay.
