It’s a significant distance from the main accomodation area, which promotes a cafe and hot tubs. Being 500m away, it’s the accomodation we stayed in is well away from actual lodge. The location is down a driveway with a private house in front and unattractive neighbouring houses and outlook into a timber yard. Also no wifi Also no plug in kitchen sink

This is our second stay and its perfect for a few days to the snow. Its very convenient, clean and organised. Easy check in and check out. Room was nice and dark for sleeping and quiet. Comfy bed and really warm.

It would be nice if there was more shower gel to last three days and 2 nights for 2 people. There was only one small packet.

The manager was super super lovely!!! We got a fabulous spa and sauna that was absolutely awesome after skiing. In addition, the whole place was really clean and well setup. Great spot in the centre of town, close to all the essentials!

Room probably too small for us for more than one night but not a deal breaker and I could have explored booking options more

We enjoyed the open plan lounge area and the outdoor seating, which were both comfortable and enjoyable spaces to relax.

Personally, we didn’t feel the stay was worth $615 for one night, especially with the additional $250 bond. We were also disappointed that a bunk bed had been squeezed into the corner of the room where it didn’t seem to belong. It blocked access to the wardrobe, which was advertised as part of the room’s facilities and something we expected to be able to use.

We stayed in the Holiday home and it was perfect for our family of 5. Beds were comfy, it was large enough to fit us all and have space and privacy. Place was very clean and tidy and had great heating.

The cleanness was exceptional. Convenient central location.

The shower water temperature was changing cold to warm unexpectedly. It’s a good opportunity for contrast showers, if you like them.

The water pressure was strong so it was nice, location was great.

The shared bathroom right next to us didn't have any shower gel, room was quite outdated. Its the kind of place where you just want to crash and leave early the next day. They advertised you get a discount at their caffee for booking with them but they closed right when we check in at 2pm.

We had a brilliant time at LKNZ lodge. We originally booked a basic room with shared bathroom, but on arrival were kindly upgraded on account of it being Mardi Gras weekend and there being lots of partiers. We therefore stayed in an ensuite room with a kitchenette which was amazing. Room was never cold, bed comfy, plenty of room for things, enough in the kitchenette for all the basics and good showers. Thankfully were not kept awake by any loud music/partiers. Did not end up needing to use any shared facilities so can't speak for them. Used the sauna/hot tub one night which we had to ourselves and were great. Did not get a chance to enjoy a breakfast in the cafe but coffees were good. Overall feel quite loyal and would definitely stay again if back in Ohakune. Great base for exploring the wider Taranaki National park and we did several hikes and cycles (including the local Old Coach Road) whilst there. Good position in town with easy access (5 min walk) to various restaurants, supermarket and ski/bike hire shops.

Can't think of anything obvious to improve.

We stayed in a family room with ensuite (and balcony) and because it was offseason had the whole lodge pretty much to ourselves and had full run of the well stocked share kitchen and lounge areas.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at LKNZ LODGE it was very well placed with a nice view of mount Ruapehu next time we plan to book e bikes to explore all the trails with spectacular views. THANYOU FOR THE AWESOME STAY LKNZ LODGE AND CAFE.

The manager/owner was VERY accommodating, we had a late check in and she was still there to welcome us and help us find our way. She made it very clear that if we needed anything through the night that we could call the after hours phone. The room was clean and suited our family. The facilities were on, even used the sauna and spa which was a treat after a big day at the rodeo. Our beds were really comfortable and overall we had an awesome stay. Highly recommend 👌

The budget rooms are small but sufficient for one person and they have a heating which was much appreciated. I loved the spa (hot tub and sauna) which comes at a small extra charge but if you're lucky, you may have it all to yourself! But the best was the staff, they were so friendly and welcoming and even gave me a lift to the train station when I left!

For budget rooms, you have to go outside to reach the washrooms which can be chilly at night. Right over the entrance to my room, there was a lamp that attracted many insects and when opening my door, some of them always came in - it would be better if the lamps were in between the entrances.

The bed was comfortable and the shared kitchen was spacious. The bathroom in the shared space is luxurious. For one night definitely a solid choice.

I wish they had told me that the sirens only summon the local firefighters. I got really scared when they wet off at 6am because I thought it was an earthquake and I had no idea what to do. I was the only guest in that section, which made things worse.

Staff were kind and helpful, the facilities were great and had everything I needed. Nice location in town. Good value for money.

A couple of guests were a bit loud early one morning outside but not a big deal. Not many cons.

크리스마스 전후로 2번 숙박했는데, 두번다 좋았습니다. 직원분들도 친정하고 방이 깨끗하게 관리가 잘되어있었어요. 조용하고 위치도 좋고, 스파&사우나도 추가금으로 사용했는데 좋았어요. Double Room with Private Bathroom은 루아페후산 방향을 배정받아서 마운틴뷰가 좋았습니다.

The staff were great, the location was great, the bathroom and lounge were very nice for shared accommodation and I appreciated the cafe discount.

The room hadn’t been cleaned, even though I was told it was ready and was checked in. The bin was half full of rubbish, one of the small towels was tossed up and had a reddish brown stain on it and the bed was unmade. I didn’t make a complaint because I was half-expecting someone to come by to clean it properly, then when I came back in the evening and saw it hadn’t been I just couldn’t be arsed. That’s on me. There was one clean folded towel and one extra, clean folded blanket on the shelf and I just made due. I was also surprised there was no lamp, just one very bright overhead light. All packaged under a stricter no refunds policy than I've seen in a while. I've been through a fair few hostels and shared facilities accommodation over the past week on a random trip and this was both the worst and the most expensive. Which I'm sorry to have to say because the positives were indeed positive.

How noises the floors are.... you can hear everyone walking up and down the hallways and stairs... if you have children it's alot louder

Everything you needed & wonderful staff!

Just walls are thin, so you can hear people talking if they are one wall away or being loud. Not bad enough to upset the stay & they do provide ear plugs so they are doing their best.

The advertising on the room i booked, says TV doesn't mention it's a doorm TV for all to watch, I expected a TV in my room and a ensuite, or I got temu'ed on the correct reading of what was advertised .

Upgraded to King size bedroom with view. View was wonderful, when clouds moved to disclose snow topped mountain. Bed comfortable. Shared kitchen very useful. Team very helpful.
