1. Cleaning was not complete. Glasses used by us left unwashed kept as it were etc Cleaning seem to focus only on making the bed. 2. We used the rooftop bar 4 times but each time we went and wanted an empty seat close to the view they refused saying reserved. It was quite obvious they gave it to walk ins while we were still around Further on the last night my daughter has been sitting in one and after a while they made her move out. HOWEVER The staff at the restaurant one floor below were we had dinner once were marvellous and courteous

L’accoglienza. Il’hotel è molto bello ed in una zona centrale da dove è facile muoversi per visitare la città. Il rooftop è molto elegante e ha una bellissima vista su Santa Sofia Moschea blu.

Great location with a lot of history… loved the rooftop bar.

Some of the facilities were a little dated, but I guess that’s what you get with a historical property. The top floor restaurant was closed both days we were there… this was disappointing and not sure why a restaurant would be closed on a weekend. We were looking forward to eating there.

Ausgezeichnete Lage gleich bei der Galata Brücke, sehr schöne Roof-Top Bar mit grossartiger Aussicht. Es ist ein Boutique Hotel mit viel Charakter im Gebäude einer ehemaligen Bank.

Der (Filter-)Kaffee zum Frühstück war ungeniessbar und ein anderer Kaffee (z.B. Cappuccino) kostet extra; bei diesen Preisen nicht ok. Aufgrund der Lage muss man mit etwas Lärm am Morgen rechnen.

The property is a wonderful old bank converted to a hotel. The building is filled with classical charm. The roof top bar has wonderful views of the city & is a relaxing place to gather. The staff was extremely polite, helpful and knowledgeable of local things to do.

The hotel is very well located, close to the metro, tram and ferry and within walking distance of the Galata tower. The rooms are comfortable and decorated with lovely artworks and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The hotel coffee could be better.

Location is great. Some staff members were great, others could’ve tried harder. Breakfast and Housekeeping staff were particularly good. Also, the lovely gentleman who delivered our nightly chocolates and the iron and ironing board. Bed was particularly comfortable.

Lack of interest from most of the front office staff. Access to the roof top bar and restaurant - no priority given to residents, we were turned away and the staff wouldn’t even let us take a few photos. Breakfast selection was poor. WiFi kept dropping out and we had to sign in every time we came back to the hotel.

Great Experience. Excellent and very well located hotel ! Service was outstanding, special thanks to Omer and Mehmet from the front desk who provided great support during our stay. Special note also to the Hotel doormen, who were very kind and helpful with our luggage and to get the transfers.This is a true boutique hotel that provides us with a strong home feeling in Istanbul.

Everything about the hotel was fabulous. Beautiful, spacious, welcoming, central. We really enjoyed everything about it. The rooftop bar was also great.

Immediate welcome and coffee. This is done without word, meant we felt taken care of without needing to ask. Everything was at our disposal. The spa centre was amazing. The support given when I got sick and needed extra assistance was phenomenal reactive but not intrusive. The Bank staff are to be commended at every level. Also loved the decor. This is a gem of a boutique hotel. Like staying in an art gallery. Prestigious and practical.

No toothbrush; but am sure had I asked they would have given it.

Great hotel with amazing location and service! Rooms were very spacious, perfectly clean and stylish, also had everything one might need eg slippers, bathrobe, coffee machine etc. Location is great, plenty of nice restaurants nearby, walking to the old town takes about 30 min (or 10 min taxi), there is a luxury hammam on the same street. The staff was great, very helpful, carried the suitcases to the room and there were plenty of small hospitality touches like complimentary chocolate sweets. There is a rooftop bar with a beautiful view and nice menu. The restaurant in the hotel was also good. Overall, great experience - would definitely come back and recommend for stay!

The only thing that could be improved is the gym - there is everything one might need for a short stay, but the room itself is quite small. I was alone there, but would be hard to do weights training if there would have been more than 1 person in the room.

Nothing negative

The location really is unbeatable. Galata Tower and Taksim Square are both within easy walking distance, and Sultanahmet is reachable on foot if you're feeling adventurous. If not, there's a tram nearby that gets you there in around 20 minutes and it's just as handy for a quick trip out to the Byzantine Walls and Panorama Museum too. The staff were an absolute highlight. Always smiling and genuinely happy to help, every single morning without fail. The housekeeping team were particularly lovely. A small gift waiting on arrival was a lovely touch, as was finding a chocolate on the pillow each evening. The toiletry selection was also a cut above the usual. The room itself was perfectly comfortable. A decent size with lovely high ceilings. I'd seen comments about rooms being small and genuinely couldn't understand it; perhaps as Brits we're just pleasantly surprised to have space! Yes, it can get noisy at night given the lively area, but that's entirely to be expected and hardly a complaint. The rooftop bar is not to be missed. Stunning views, great atmosphere, and the same warm, attentive service you find throughout the hotel. Speaking of which, the whole place has a lovely feel to it: gentle background music, relaxed vibes, and a warmth that's hard to put your finger on but immediately noticeable. All in all, a gorgeous stay. We'll absolutely be recommending it to friends.

I saw complaints about the breakfast and the cost seemed quite expensive for what it was, so we just went to the shop directly over the road for fresh pastries each morning. Easy fix!

We had a great stay at the bank hotel. It is a beautiful hotel in a great location to visit all tourist and non tourist sites. The rooms and decor were amazing.

Great hotel, very helpful staff members. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Shower with good pressure, comfortable bed. Very nice roof top restaurant. I had a few requests for dinner and they made them exactly I have asked. Amazing antique elevator in the lobby that you can only see in old films. Surely will book again when I come back to Istanbul.

The room was beautifully designed and detailed with high ceilings and a great shower room. The hotel is very well located for ease of access to the principal attractions of Istanbul such as the Bosphorus ferries, old town and Karaköy. The breakfast was delicious with a wide choice of foods. The rooftop bar was also a great facility with beautiful views.

It was difficult to find and work the controls for the privacy instructions.

We had an outstanding stay. The whole team was genuinely amazing - warm, professional, and consistently kind. Breakfast was excellent and set a great tone for the day. The reception team in particular were fantastic: attentive, responsive, and always ready with smart suggestions that matched what we were looking for. Their activity recommendations were a highlight. They arranged experiences we wouldn’t have found on our own, including creating our own perfume, which was memorable and beautifully organised. The guide they suggested was also excellent - knowledgeable, punctual, and made everything easy. The spa team also deserves a special mention: friendly, professional, and made the experience feel calm and high quality from start to finish. Finally, the welcome presents were a very kind touch and made us feel truly looked after. Thank you to the whole team for such a special stay - we will absolutely return and recommend you to others.

Coziness, location, small boutique, scent/smell

Everything was nice. Except for the spa the lady who did my reflexology massage wasn’t that good and finished a few minutes earlier!!

Frühstück extrem gut mit gutem service und hat tolle türkische oder westliche Gerichte. Lage ist auch phenomenal. Sehr zentral mit vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten die zu Fuss erreichbar sind.

Aus irgend einem Grund war das Zimmer im Winter trotzdem extrem Heiss. Die Heizung war voll aufgedreht. Wir wollten kurz das Air Conditioning anschalten, aber das hat nicht funktioniert. Wir haben dies beim Staff gemeldet aber trotzdem konnte es nie während unserem Aufenthalt repariert werden. Die erste Nacht war somit extrem unangenehm, da es im Zimmer wahrscheinlich 30 Grad Celsius war. Ausserdem ist das Sauna im Spa ein wenig enttäuschend (sehr klein). Letztens wollten wir an unserem letzten Abend auf die Rooftopbar. Und wurden jedoch keine Drinks mehr serviert, weil es bald regnen sollte. Es hat erst etwa 4 Stunden später geregnet! Trotzdem muss ich sagen die Musik und Ambience auf der Rooftopbar ist ausgezeichnet mit wunderschöner Aussicht.

Colazione non degna di un cinque stelle e purtroppo non la possibilità di i usare il rooftop per un cocktail serale . Dalla nostra camera arrivavano spesso i rumori del personale e della gente , credo dal vano scala .

Przepięknie urządzony hotel, w którym. niegdyś mieścił sie bank. Cały wystrój jest w klimacie przełomu XIX/XX wieku, ale bar na dachu jest nowoczesny i podają tam fantastyczne drinki! Znakomita lokalizacja, parę kroków od wieży Galem i od pięknego, nowoczesnego nabrzeża Bosfaru. Także przystanek promów jest bardzo blisko.

Dostałyśmy dość mały dwuosobowy pokój na 5. piętrze, ponieważ prosiłam o pokój z widokiem. I rzeczywiście, widok z tarasu był bardzo ładny. jednak sam pokój był duzo mniejszy niż w opisie. poprosiłysmy więc o większy pokój, z czym nie było najmniejszego problemu, jednak ten nie miał już ani balkonu, ani widoku z okna. Był dość ciemny. Szkoda, że opisy tak renomowanego hotelu sa tak mylące. Dobrze, że miła obsługa hotelu jakoś nam to sympatycznie i szybko załatwiła, a my nie chciałyśmy sobie psuć nastroju. Łóżka w pokoju dwuosobowym są , niestety, naprawdę bardzo wąskie i małe. Na szczęście byłam z siostra i po prostu złączyłyśmy te łóżka, żeby w nocy nie spadać na podłogę...

Perfekte und doch relativ ruhige Lange in Galata, vieles ist zu Fuss einfach zu erreichen. Freundliches Personal, gut ausgestattete Zimmer und nettes Frühstück.

Zimmer auf die Bankalar Caddesi können etwas laut sein.

A szálloda gyönyörű, illatos, tökéletes tisztaság fogad mindenhol. A személyzet kedves és segítőkész. A reggeli bőséges és ízletes.

They didn’t have a sauna

The staff were attentive, the rooftop bar had an amazing view of the Bosphorus, the restaurant was excellent, turn down service was unexpected.

We didn't include breakfast in our reservation, and the breakfast bar was average and very expensive to pay individually. We're not big breakfast eaters, but paying 20£ for coffee and oatmeal was way over-priced. There was no option for a la carte breakfast.
