E Residence

Small single room, nothing to complain about except hard bed

Cheap and good area

It was good location

Cannot leave luggage after checkout beyond 18:00, making it very difficult for travelers. Otherwise the old condition of the room is more than compensated by the friendly and courteous staff.

Friendly staffs and excellent location

I stayed in 6th floor of this 6 story building with separate kitchen on the same floor(I realized it just befire checking out). This place is a budget lodge near the express bus terminal and Gangnam metro station without a doubt (just two metro station distance from each). There is no parking lot on site but if you stay here only late overnight(eg,between 9pm to 8am), there seem to be abundant parking areas around here.

Great location in the center of GangNam with appropriate price. Very pleasant check-in.

I gave 5 star for everything not because this is a 5 star hotel, but because for what I paid for, everything here was excellent. It's close to major public transit including airport transport, close to many great stores and restaurants. For those who are interested, this is walking distance to old BTS locations. The room was small but it's clean and comfortable it's got everything I needed, with the space designed to be practical and efficient. The common space has everything else one needs to live there for a long time. Internet access is great. One slight problem is I asked for a room with washing machine since I stayed there for quite a while. They gave me a room with it but when I went to use it I realized it's disconnected. They said it's electricity issue on that floor. I was a bit disappointed but the washing machine in the common area worked well and it wasn't busy (middle of July). The people at the office are friendly and helpful. It's a place I highly recommended if you want to stay in Seoul for a long time and not pay a lot of money.

Great staff it feels like a family

Nice because you get to clean your room and have good clean areas for you

The staff were kind, but there was a bad smell in the room. The location was good.

Easy to access to public transportation, super kind staff

The place was cute and foreigner friendly. Seven eleven super close by, and everything else is walking distance. My transportation of choice was the bus and it was really close as well. The room was cute not too small, but the bed was a little hard. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but other than that it was overall a good stay.

Not good

Bed was rock hard😅 and thin walls😭

Good loction but too tiny room

English speaking staff. Very helpful. Great location for Gangnam shopping - walkable everywhere. Bus (6009) stop to and from Incheon airport is only 100 meters away. Rooms are good reasonable if you are using only to sleep. I was out and shopping all day and used the room only to sleep. Rooms are outdated but gets the job done.

This place is cozy and family run the place I stayed comfortably and people in the place were nice hospitality

Pros: close walking distance to the sub, buses and stores. Great price, the lady and young man was incredibly nice and spoke English very well. Everything worked well. Rooms were clean. Cons: walls are incredibly thin that I can hear every detail the neighbors do (putting keys down, yawning, using the bathroom, etc). It caught me off guard when someone checked in late which woke me up. They ended up staying up until 4am talking in a regular tone but it was as if there were no walls cus I heard word for word their conversation. Bed is very hard. The cleaning guy was extremely rude. He didn't know my checkout date as he banged on the door to demad me to "leave, 1130" and walked off before I could explain. When I tried to explain he shooed me off and walked away more. What was that?! You don't like working here then dont! We are the customers who pay for your salary, we didn't tell you to be so miserable.

Budget , old looking rooms with dripping shower heads

Great location with kind service

Stayed few days- great location, small room, bed was ok. Staff are friendly, good English speaking. Super ease check in and out.

A lot of spiders and not clean everywhere

The price is good.

The Staff was very nice

I was able to check-in quite late. Thankfully a key was left outside for me thanks to the trust of their neighborhood. My room was clean considering how old it was and in need of a little tender loving care. Really firm mattress, which I tend to prefer. Water stained wallpaper. Black mildew in the corners and caulking in the bathroom. A little vacuuming under the bed would be welcome. The room had a bit of a dank smell with air fresheners dangling. I kept the window open to keep fresh air flowing. Don’t forget your Korean wall power adapter! I felt safe and comfortable in this quiet suite. It’s in a good location in popular Gangnam(-style!). One is a couple blocks away from the Sinsa subway station to zip around town. I never met the staff as I only used the side entrance/exit, but I’m sure they were pleasant.

Decent hotel for the price.

I have been hotels.com since 2005. I have used many hotels around world. But this hotel I really upset to hotels.com which is listed on your app. I left the hotel in 30min. I could not stay any longer and I booked another hotel. Tje place was terrible .

Just minutes from the airport bus stop and Sinsa subway station. A bit too steep around the property, though. Mattress was too thin, and the bathroom booth (?) was tiny. But, staff was very friendly and informative.

The location is so good! less than 5-min walks to bus & airport bus and pretty close to sinsa-gangnam station! recommend for people who come for business trip!

Great location and tidy

Self checking, small room,no tubs in bathroom

This very similar to a dorm room. It had a refrigerator/freezer, tv, microwave, and a washing machine. The toilet and shower are all together in an enclosed space. I missed having an electric kettle and free coffee and water available like a hotel. My only real complaint is the bed was very hard and uncomfortable especially the first couple of days. I did get used to it eventually. The AC worked great.

It was very easy to get to from the airport

Great

There was mold everywhere. Room was very small. Very old property .Didn’t like the area at all. I could have gotten better hotel on this price.

Staff was very friendly and helpful

Very convenient!

This is the second time I stay at E Residence and it won't be the last. The owners are kind and accommodating and the hotel is affordable and clean and situated very conveniently in Gangnam.

The owner helped me get a taxi when I really needed some assistance. I truly appreciated the kindness.

The owners were so kind and helpful! The room was comfortable and spacious. The hotel is in prime location.

I stayed here for 3 nights. Pretty comfortable. The first day bathroom was bit smelled.

Clean and spacious. I would stay again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. It was also great to have the washing machine inside the room!

Nice place to stay in Gangham steps from the Sinsa station. Rooms are small but with plenty of space for your luggage and an extra big window. Fully equipped communal kitchen. Bus 6009 is just one stop to the airport. Love the multifunction bathroom. Beautiful view from the rooftop but area needs some clean up. No housekeeping during the stay though (but didn't need any).

We had stayed 10 days in double bed room. Staff was friendly and helped us with many requests. The room was small side. But for two girls it was enough.

Room so tiny then you can’t find place for your luggage. Basically no room service. You call the manager who promises to give you extra pillows, he won’t show up until you leave the hotel.

Excellent location and great family run atmosphere. Very helpful and speak good English. The amenities were limited, for example not even a paper cup in the room, which maybe is to be expected with the low cost. Room was extremely small, but also comfortable and I was able to have a good day

Good

The sink was leaking, every time you turn it on, the bathroom floor gets wet. They only have washer, no dryer so you have to hang clothes to dry. The room is much smaller than I anticipated but I got used to it and slept pretty comfortably.

It was small but enough for solo, since you won't be spending much time in the room anyway. I got lost at first but I always take Sinsa Exit 3, walk straight and turn left once you see a buidling with colourful 'hy' on it. It's a little uphill. There's 7-11, CU, Starbucks and Daiso nearby! There's also a shared kitchen and washer near the lift. Worth the money considering that you'll get your own toilet too (toilet and shower together, a little small but you'll make do with it!)

Very good!

If you want to just sleep here it would be ok but if you need to stay there for a while it is not comfortable place. Small and can hear everything.

Average stay but for this location it's difficult to find a better place. The biggest issue is that you have to use wifi calling to contact owner to get your key card. However I don't know how many people have that. Makes no sense whatsoever

The check-in process was quite easy. The room was just not as expected. There was watermarks and a bit of mold. Thankfully I only needed it to sleep for a night so it wasn’t much of an issue. The A/C and shower worked well! It takes a bit for the a/c to fully cool.

Some rooms are better than others. But overall, this is my go-to place to stay whenever I visit Seoul during the weekends. It’s close to many subways so getting around is very easy. It’s also close to the Seoul Express and Central City Bus terminal which is why I prefer staying here.

The staff are very friendly and the amenities are good for a solo traveler.

Very friendly staff and very clean. Will stay here again if ever in the area

Staffs are so kind, but shower room is too tiny, all towels are wet after shower & water leakage to the room after shower.

ㅇ

Terrible customer service!!!!! Please away from here. GO OTHER PLACE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO RUIN YOUR TRIP!!!

The only place I'll stay in Seoul. Great hotel. Great location. This is my second time here and I will be back again. The owners are wonderful people. They are extremely helpful, present, remember your name and speak excellent english. They also own and run a very good coffee shop next door and restaurant below.

I didn't like that electric plugs weren't really available in the room. I had to unplug the fridge and TV to get plugs to charge my phones.

Location is good, but hotel was located in top of hill and so it’s good excersize to go out and come back But it’s not easy if your phdical condition is not good.

Very cozy feel. Almost no amenities (only hand soap, toilet paper, and one towel)

Convenient location, nice roof top garden and small share kitchen every floor. Thin wall , noisy from next room and very uncomfortable mattress

price cant complain at all more like mini service apartment washing machine, small micro-oven, frigo and many other devices fit into the room good showerpower good wifi bed mattress a bit lumpy..mine anyway, and high window with no view but maybe my random luck location perfect managers/owners so nice...Mr Lee very welcoming lovely coffee place adjacent with SUPERcoffee

Nice hotel in a nice neighbourhood for a nice price.

Location is convenient to the seoul bus terminal. Staff very friendly. Many nearby restaurants as well as a subway station

The hotel was nice and clean I’ll give it a 7out of 10.the staff was really friendly . It was clean it’s good for a one night

Small family-run hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms are small but fully equipped. I have stayed here several times, always a good experience.

I don't recomend this one

Very decent room. I came to Seoul to explore so I didn't really care for how small the room was. Use to the small rooms, cause I'm from similar country. The staff was very attentive and will answer all questions you have. Take the train too it's very close to the place. If you don't know the best transportation around the area, aside from the taxi, then they will guide you through every step. Great place would go again for next trip.

Great place to stay for a comfortable night stay!

For the location, service and value this a excellent hotel and temporary residence. Everyone is very nice and accommodating. Their coffee shop is also a great way to start the day. Sinsa subway station is very close as well as a bus and taxi stop.

I highly recommend this hotel. Great location! There are 2 subway stations and airport limousine close by. The coffee shop next to the lobby is owned by the same owner, coffee is good and comfortable atmosphere. This hotel is very well maintained, extremely clean and great service. You can experience real Korean culture there.. people are so polite and professional there! I’m definitely coming back to this hotel!

Receptionist very friendly, only issue I usually ever have is Korean beds tend to run on the firm side but other than that all good!

Great stay at a great price. No frills but adequate in every way

the place is clean and tidy, with clean kitchen on each level. there is everything you will need around the area, convenient store, subway station, underground clubs and restaurants. Its a nice place and will stay there again.

there is tv, fridge, microwave and washing in the room, pretty much everything you will need. The room is clean and tidy. Will definitely stay here again.

Time efficient from the Airport, travel around Seoul and being able to have my own room with amenities at a great price.

This place was perfect for what I needed. if you travel solo and looking for inexpensive place in Seoul, then you want to consider this place. It's just like it was advertised and very convenience, just 5 minutes walk to the subway station, to get to the Incheon Airport there is a bus stop across the street. The place is clean and the room has a fridge in it, a share kitchen and drinking water machine every floor. Also washing machine available if you want to wash your clothes. I also enjoy the hospitality of the owner of the hotel. They speak English and truly understand the customers need and available to assist me. Thanks for providing the accommodation. If I have a chance to visit Seoul again, I will definitely stay here again.

It was good stay in e residence.. Staff in reception was very helpful and kind.. location was superb to go every nook and cranny of seoul. Very convenient from Incheon airport to here and just one minutes away from bus stop (sinsa station). Clean, hospitality and transportation. Was good... I will definitely come here again for next visit to seoul

The room was a bit smaller than I thought, but I liked its location and friendly staff members. I would suggest this accommodation if you consider an inexpensive accommodation in Gangnam area.

I loved the location of E-Residence. Very safe, close to bus, and subway. The Sinsa Station Exit 3 is a short walk. There were many convenience stores, fast food, restaurants and my favorite store in Korea Daiso. The room is a little small, but clean and has alot of closet space, drawer space, microwave oven, large refrigerator, and washing machine. There is also a space to hang dry your wet clothes. There is a kitchen on every floor to cook food also. Room was clean. The one thing I didn't like was the shower and toilet are so close to each other. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's a great hotel and I will stay here again. Airport bus 6009 is like a very short walk away very nice!!

Nice and cozy hotel with easy acess to go every hot spot like gangnam or express terminal. Very kind staff . DEFINITELY I recommend this hotel to my friends.

There was no blackout curtain in the room, so it was quite bright by early morning. There were guests shouting down the corridor at about midnight. The kitchen amenities were really beneficial. The staff were friendly.

I needed to get to the airport the morning of and the hotel staff helped immediately upon arrival. It was a very homely place with a great sense of relaxation. Couldʻnt have asked for a better convenient stay.

It was great. Private and clean.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The owners speak English well. The room was small but it's good for someone who travels with a budget.

I stayed in a mini room which was a little like living in a small caravan. Room was clean and what I expected but the staff were really helpful and warm hearted. Great location in Gangam.

I booked this place online way in advance of my trip not knowing the layout of the city except the map said it was about 25 minutes by subway to COEX, where my conference would be held. I did not know much about Gangnam except that there was a song by Psy that made it famous, it was a wealthy area, and the conference center was there. So, I learned a lot in those four days as I would either get lost on purpose or unintentionally! The room was perfect for my needs and I liked the access to a kitchen with washing machine (did not realize there was no dryer though so should have prepared for that as it is on their website). I also got a chance to have good conversations with the night manager, Kang Ho Min, who gave me some info about the area the hotel is in and answered some of my questions, including teaching me some Korean words. I would only add to the website to help people with directions, to take Exit #3 from the Sinsa Station stop, as I kept exiting wrong and getting turned around those first two days. But, once I figured it out it was super convenient.

The staff were very friendly, helped me with my luggage and showed me how to use everything. They also showed me how to get to shops and bus I needed for the airport at the end of my stay. The location was great - I could walk to most places I wanted to go, or take the subway which was very close by. There are many restaurants and little corner-style shops, and Gangnam and Apgujeong are within easy walking distance. I liked having a big bed to myself and it was very like my bed at home so I had no problems sleeping. It was neat and tidy and I liked that I was able to do my own thing without being disturbed in the mornings. There didn't seem to be too many dishes in the kitchen but the hotel was full so I think a lot of them were in use at the time. I will be returning to Seoul for work, and would most likely return to the hotel since I know it is good value and a good area in general.

Overall average. However washing machine was spoil causing our clothes to suffer from lots of dirts.

Hotel quite easy to find from Sinsa or Nonyheon (sp?) stations, right behind the Kia motor showroom. Lots of places to shop and eat nearby. Staff super friendly, although the chap on reception warned me that the room was tiny and if I liked I could upgrade for 10,000 won to a bigger room. I hate upselling and so was slightly unhappy about this. Why not give me a good room to begin with? However, the room was absolutely fine. Probably no good if you wanted to have a line dancing party, but compact and great for just me. Bed was quite firm but not uncomfortable, unplugged the fridge as I didn't need it and it whirred near the bed- but really, this is a good place to stay. Oh, the bathroom is a wet room and the one I had, the water from the basin just leaked all through the bottom of its pedestal. Perhaps this was by design but was unexpected and a bit unpleasant. Would definitely stay here again though if in Seoul

Excellent hotel, nicely situated in Sinsa. An easy 5 min walk to Sinsa Station, and is walking distance to lots of shipping and dining options. The hotel rooms are small, but have everything you need including shower bed tv wifi and there is a small kitchen you can use that is communal. Staff is wonderful, they were very welcoming at check in and helped me with maps and locations of tour sights. This hotel was very nice for my stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel for 9 days. It is in a central location with minutes of walking to Sinsa station. However, it is not on the main street so you would need a map to find it, or alternatively calling the hotel may be necessary. The hotel is also situated on a rather steep slope so it may be difficult for those with bulky luggage to bring them up. The main door is locked at midnight but there is an option to get in from the back. WiFi access is relatively good. Walls are relatively thin as movement in neighbouring rooms can be heard clearly. Nevertheless, the hotel is usually quiet.

Good apartment with washer dryer. Location is convenient but getting to the place the first time was a challenge (took me more than an hour after asking 5 people)

The staff at the reception is very helpful and nice. He can speak fluent English and offer many helps. The location is easy to find which is close to the metro station. However the bed and the facilities inside the room can be improved.

This is a great place for those who are traveling light/solo and are on a budget. The room was quite compact, but was equipped with everything you needed (including fire extinguisher and emergency flashlight). What I liked best was that it was very clean and well-kept. It is also close to the subway station and many places to eat and drink (10 min walk from Garosu-gil).
